I thought long and hard before writing this review but after over 2 years at Skye at Belltown, I will not be renewing my lease for the 3rd time. Over the LAST YEAR our laundry room which is suppose to service over 160 apartments had out of order washers and dryers the entire time during 2020. At one point we had only 4 working dryers for the residents. Recently they also got rid of our security detail at night so loud parties occur on our large 3rd floor terrace with no one to call.this use to be an amazing place, but I cannot even get basic amenities and I no longer feel safe at night with no security detail at all.

Great community with spacious apartments. Ive been living here for 3 years.- Super quick and thorough maintenance. 4 - 6 hours turnaround time!- Super responsive management- Super professional security staff! Now this might not sound like something to add to a review, but this deserves a mention because they really ensure that no unauthorized person enters. Personally, I feel much safer because of this.

I was looking for moving near Belltown and found a good deal here. The best part was the support from the Skye team. I had several queries and got response every time. Thank you management team, especially @Olivia, @Serena for being calm and helpful during the process.I feel amenities and location is great, only con I see is laundry but that’s fine for me.

I have been a resident at Skye at Belltown for more than a year now and we it’s been amazing to say the least. I really love the management, very responsive maintenance, great quality housing, amenities etc. Overall, loving my stay.However, One thing which I wish was better, would be the parking garage attached to the apartment complex. With the current security infrastructure in place, my car was stolen from the basement of the parking garage with relative ease. My car was stolen during the day. Given this is a public garage during the day and exclusively for the residents in the night, there were no security cameras covering the whole garage, NONE in the basement, almost most of the upper level. Is not at all covered by security cameras. During the day, anyone can just wander inside the garage not properly secured for residents.After this incident, as a resident, It’s frightening to know that anything can happen when venturing into the apartment garage knowing that we aren’t completely safe.Hope the management improves the security after this incident, so that residents can feel more at ease parking their vehicles at the apartment garage.

I stayed here for a year, did not like it.They did not have in-unit laundry. Had to go to the 2nd floor to do my laundry, the machines were always full over the weekends, hence I always had to do my laundry on weekdays after office.They did not have inbuilt Microwave in the unit and they dont provide one. So I had to buy one.They did not have an exhaust fan over the kitchen. If you cook something in the kitchen you can smell it in the apartment for a long time even if the windows are kept open.I was staying in 2 bed apartment. Each bedroom did not have a heater which is pathetic during winters.And the worst part was the service I got when I went there a year later. I, by mistake, got my Amazon package delivered to this old address. I went there and asked them about it. Even without checking the mail room the lady at the front desk said it was not there and she would call security If I do not leave. Another person from their office heard her shouting at me and came out and agreed to check the mail room and found out my package lying there right in front when he opened the mail room door. Oh my God. The worst service ever. Not a way to treat your ex customers.The only thing I liked here is the view from my apartment but I can live without it.

Have been staying here for around a year and half now. Apartment is situated in a good location at reasonable price point. They do not have in-unit laundry but thats what you sign up for. Maintenance is pretty responsive even during COVID times, so kudos for that.My main issue has been the noise. The walls are thin and you hear all sorts of noise coming from the adjacent units like flushing of toilet. I can clearly hear my neighbors talking or them using TV. I am a light sleeper and this has ruined my sleep. You are at complete mercy of your neighbors!

I have lived in the apartment for almost a year now. I have loved the management response and building maintenance. The building is neat and tidy. I havent had any issues so far. The only thing that I am missing in my apartment(not the whole building) is that we dont have fiber cable optics and hence my internet upload speed is stuck at 10Mbps although the download one is good. I would recommend people to live here. This is a good community and building for the given price range

When I moved in here initially we were welcomed with some goodies. The amenities in the building are great and I really love the courtyard area.Maintenance service is quite good.

I actually love the property, amenities, and location - those are all fantastic! Maintenance is very quick as well. But due to COVID I had to do a virtual tour w/ phone calls and feel like the leasing office wasnt 100% honest in answering my questions & concerns. Now Im stuck with a year lease.Be careful with this place, theyll tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to sign a lease. I definitely wont be renewing it.

I really enjoy living here at Skye. We get a breath taking view, the amenities are great, its always clean, great move-in experience, and the people who work there are awesome.Special mention to Mike for his patience when I had to deal with paperwork, making the wait on the line for AAA fun, and most of all making me feel home from the moment we arrived!

Alex has made this stressful move feel like a breeze. they are very informational and Im happy to find this gem. Great price for being in the heart of Seattle!

Been living here for five years. Great location. Cannot find a better place in Belltown at this price point.

The apllication process was smooth and easy. Helpful leasing staff Jerry helped me in and provided with honest aspects from the rent, renter insurance and the amenity information which was critical to decide the apartment.

I have lived at Skye for over 2 years and have LOVED every second of it. I honestly cant say enough of how amazing the staff is. The staff prides itself in always helping and being professional.They go above and beyond to make living here a pleasure. Maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner and are very friendly. You cannot beat the location or the great amenities it has. The security team is also on top of it and is a safe community to live at. Highly recommend living here, you wont be disappointed!

My daughter had to move from PA to Seattle on short notice so we had to do all of our research online and through email. Jerry in the leasing office was awesome to work with and went above and beyond to answer all of our questions. It was comforting for us to know that we had found someone to work with from so far away that was so kind and understanding. We loved being able to reserve an apartment knowing that it would be available when my daughter arrived without having to sign a lease sight unseen. She was very happy with her unit as well as the building amenities and location and was able to move in right away. I recently had the chance to go visit her and was equally as pleased about everything that Skye has to offer. I honestly don’t think we would have chosen any other apartment had we had the chance to visit others in person before she made a decision. Jerry was off the day I arrived but one of the other leasing agents, Manny helped me find my way around and also offered lots of good restaurant recommendations. My daughter is very happy living at Skye and I can’t wait to go back for another visit.

I love my apartment community. Its friendly and close to my job which makes it super convenient. I feel at home here. The office staff is super helpful and friendly.

I love this building and all the amenities! The only reason why Im moving is because I got married...otherwise, Id stay here forever! Cant beat the convenience of being in the heart of the city. The courtyard has the best view in the city of the Space Needle and a convenient closed-in dog park for pet owners. The security team works really hard (thanks Clifton!) to make sure the residents are safe and secure. Also the management team (Renee and Sam) are a dream to work with and are so accommodating! Even the other maintenance teams are so great too (thanks Susan!). Its also a plus that there is a gym, community room, and even a small mart attached to the building. I think this is the best building in Belltown. You wont regret it!

After a horrendous experience with an incompetent locksmith that could not get me back into my home and having to sleep in the club room, I had the complete opposite experience with the staff at Skye.The building maintenance staff, Susan, was incredibly patient and understanding as she took her time to fix whatever the locksmith had tried to do. The office staff, Amanda, was so nice and kind to give me a Starbucks gift card to make sure I get some breakfast while I wait for the lock to be fixed.One of the scariest things as a tenant is the possibility of renting in a building with bad landlord/management. They were awesome and made me glad to be renting here. In general, all the staff Ive interacted with here have been nothing but complete professionals.

Edit update 2/22/2019 Updating this to reflect more realistic expectations. Theres a lot that can be improved, but to be honest, the staff is so affable, accommodating, and realistic. Its an old building, and it has old building problems from time to time. But really thats a feature of the installation, not a reflection on the management.Staff is amazing and the culture is really good! However the mechanical upkeep is quite bad. It feels like something is always broken. When I moved in it was the garbage chutes, then it was one of the boilers so the hot water was much cooler. (not quite cold, but I was definitely asking friends Can I come shower at your place? level). Now all of the doors are broken except for front entry and it has been a week.Edit update 12/3/2018: the below is a perfect microcosm of the problem. Very polite, very wonderful people. But the doors are still broken a month later.

I enjoy living in Skye at Belltown. The management team is great and the community is friendly. Best part of the building is the garden on the 3rd floor. The team has done a great job creating an urban park in the middle of the city.

Weve been residents for almost a year, and this building is great so far. Its solid value, well-maintained, and located steps from several neighborhoods and attractions. The building staff is friendly, courteous, and quick to respond to general inquiries or maintenance requests. Nice tenant mix, dog-friendly, and a great place to live.

Mike was incredibly helpful in making sure I was accommodated during the entire move in process, even going outside his job duties and recommending hiking trails. All the staff Ive encountered so far have also been very friendly. Overall a very positive experience.

My wife & I, we lived here for almost an year. Skye is a great place to call home. We moved here from India. I signed an agreement with Skye even before moving here! So, I was taking my chances! But, Skye exceeded our expectations. Nice community, Great team (Brittney, Sam, Renee, Mike) and ton of facilities. Its close to almost everything. Has a nice supermarket in the building. The maintenance is great / quick turnaround. Everything is streamlined. My only gripe might be that being in the center of everything, its a bit noisy (sirens especially) & the rent is increasing a lot (its the same everywhere in Seattle though). But, if you can afford, go ahead. Wont be disappointed! Nice place :)

Moving in was very smooth and Mike has been of great help throughout my entire stay. Staff is always ready to help with a smile and I had the feeling they did everything they could to ensure a pleasant stay. Good value for money and great location. Great common area as well.

Skye is a great place to live, we work for Microsoft, the connector is really close. People who work here are awesome, whether its the office people, maintenance or security. Shout out to Mike whos made it so delightful to move in and was extremely helpful throughout the process

Have been at skye for about 10 months now. Really like the location of Skye when I first started looking. Close to SLU and downtown both, very accessible to several grocery stores as well. About the apartment itself, everyone in the leasing office is totally helpful, apartment has all the required amenities, it is well maintained and has good layout even for studios considering the less overall space. I would definitely recommend it to my friends who are looking for a home to stay in this locality.

Comprehensive review after living at this apartment for a yearCONS:1) The leasing office showing you the lease building act as if they own the place. Lease office people are rude to you if you need something. I did not extend my lease with them because of the rude behavior of people working there. Not welcoming for people who want to renew the lease.2) Gym bathrooms are locked in the morning till 9AM. One has to go back their apartment to attend to natures call while working out.3) There is no exhaust in the bathrooms and in the kitchen. Bathroom size is small.4) There is no heater inside the bedrooms. There is only one heater in the living room.5) No laundry inside the apartments. common laundry on 2nd floor6) The grocery store that they show you in the building is expensive for basic needs(FMCG) like milk!. $4.99 for the Kirkland milk (Costco brand)PROS:1)Apartment location is amazing with most offices in proximity.2) Bus stand is right in front of apartment3) Apartment lobby ambience is really nice.4) Very nice gym5) Pet friendly apartment with a nice outdoor on 3rd floor

Rude management. The leasing office professional was rude. I went to enquire about the apartment and got a tour. I liked the location and went to book. I was enquiring if they are offering any move-in specials or any discounts. The person was arguing that they are the best and they are the only ones who are offering this price. He told me directly to go AWAY AND BOOK OTHER PLACE if you get better price. It was very insulting. It s ok to not give any discount but such rude response is not tolerable. He spoke as through he owns the place. Hence I am giving 1 star for such rude response from management.

I initially gave this place 5 stars but after moving out things have turned sour. Skye and their associates had given a Collections Agency my wifes work number that is used for domestic violence emergency issues to get to her. Domestic violence lines are used by women and children to get a hold of a lawyer immediately and to safeguard women from domestic abusers. As a tech worker and lawyer were more then happy to pay the $142 fee that was not processed upon move out. Rather then contacting us, our bill was immediately sent to collections. No courtesy. No email. Calling emergency domestic violence lines to collect $142 from two professionals is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever had to deal with in my life. Almost as bad as Skyes (24-hour) noise levels due to next doors construction site that I got to look at through my tiny windows. First time collections has ever called my wife and I. Thanks, Skye.

I lived at this property for 4 years.Pros:-1. Walking distance to restaurants/space needle/downtown seattle/parks/waterfront and many more.2. Rent is lower than other properties in the area.3. Nice maintenance and leasing office guys. I never had any issues with maintenance guys and leasing office folks in last 4 years. Maintenance requests were fixed within 12 hours even on weekends.They live on site, so you have good personal connection with them.Cons:-1. Area wise its little small. But so are other apartments in downtown.2. No washer/dryer in unit. It can be little bit of pain to wait for a free washer in common area.Considering pros and cons, I would still go with 4 stars. Cons are mostly things which you know right from the beginning, no surprises.

Just moved in and I am so thrilled to live here. Shout out to the absolutely awesome staff especially Mike at the leasing office. Move in was a breeze. Great views, quick responding Maintenance team, good apartment community, nice amenities, ok sound insulation, awesome neighborhood. Could be more spacious but hey this is the best value apt in beltown.

I love the place, the common areas are really great and people is very friendly. All the staff here helped me a lot and even after moving Michael was there for anything I need like where to find furnitures and questions about the area and building.

Everything was great during the move in. Mike was very helpful showing me the things around and he is always reliable if you need anything.

(2 year resident, considering 3rd yesr)Pros;- Location to work: easy to walk most places.- For 18 floors, elevators are never packed or waiting >3 mins.- Near shops, downtown, starbucks, great pubs.- Leasing office people are great, solves getting packages or fixing issues immediately.- Security guys are great too.Cons;- No air conditioning inbuilt...cannot imagine the pain in the summer. Buy fans beforehand!- Damn fire engines; its located right next to one, so its never ending. Also as Skye is next to a crossroads, tonnes of police flying up and down at all hours.- Lease; for some reason they seem to penalize people who renew; gone up 50 usd (1946/m)...whereas I could rent a new apt here for 200 usd less per month. Doesnt make much sense to me.

They were nice at beginning, but after I finished my application, they became rude. I wasted my time and application fee because of unnecessary process.

Awesome building with good amenities and a very friendly staff.

It is one of the ideal place to live in. Very helpful management. Has all the amenities that one would want.
