Great move-in experience as Colin and team went above and beyond to make our transition easy. Thank you!
I’ve lived here for almost 2 years and it’s a beautiful complex. The location is everything as it’s close to restaurants, grocery stores and a strip of shops.Keandra who works in the office has been nothing short of amazing. She’s very personable, friendly and understanding. She’s made our living experience here much better.
The Elan 41 Apartments are the best in the Junction. I looked at all of the luxury buildings in the Junction and the Elan beats the rest. The major reason why I chose the Elan is because I love the Management team.Keandra, the Property Manager is amazing. She was so personable and Collin and Alma also go above and beyond, the team is kind and patient.I was so stressed because I looked everywhere and I did not want a urban 1 bedroom, I wanted a traditional one bedroom with an real door. Check out the Elam 41, The staff are friendly and helpful. The building is cool and the Location rocks.🎉🎈🎀😉
Price vs quality is nice here. The apartments and complex itself are decent quality. Only negative we have seen is that they seem to be short staffed between maintenance and leasing at times. Alma the apartment manager was probably the biggest reason for our positive experience here. We likely would have considered staying if not for the issues caused by the West Seattle bridge closure.
Maintenance has improved recently. The thermostats have been an ongoing issue since I moved here 7 months ago. A new maintenance team came by yesterday to take a look. Turns out that the breakers tripped and thats why 2 of the 3 thermostats didnt work. It never occurred to me that might be the problem because they stopped working at different times, and nothing else in the apt. was affected. I still had power for everything else. The thermostat in the 2nd bedroom, however, still doesnt work. When I first moved in, the original maintenance guy said that it had been wired incorrectly and was shorted out.
Just moved out. Would not recommend. Ill give my move out 4 stars, but the move in and stay gets 0 stars. Too many issues came up in only 12 months. And only a few were taken care of. Even have to constantly be on top of the front office staff to do their jobs. Its not worth it even if they lower rent.
My boyfriend and I have been living here for some time now. Overall we are very pleased with our experience. The location is very convenient. There is almost everything you need all in one mile radius. Even with living above the Safeway it’s still pretty quiet we get the common noises in the day time (cars driving by, garbage trucks, etc) and at night it’s pretty quiet in the area. Our view from our balcony is very beautiful.Maintenance has always been very quick when needed! Usually come out the day of or the next day. The property manager here is great! Alma goes above and beyond to help with whatever needs you need! Along with the rest of the office staff which are very friendly. They are doing some renovating in the courtyard along with the clubhouse so that’s pretty neat. I would highly recommend renting here.
Finally processed the move out, took long enough. They didnt even out our new address on the deposit check so it arrived after the legal window. They also took out 50% more than average utility costs for our final month, 102 for March and 153 for April. Cant contest as they shut down our access to the rent pay site asap without disabling notifications or anything. I am so glad to be moved out.The office here is about as clumsy as it gets from not having an online or working maintenance system (you have to email the office and the ticket system via rent pay site goes to a black hole) to mixing up our renewal letters with an illegal rent increase. We also had a package delivered possibly to the wrong address and had no recourse through the office and had to charge back the purchase after getting he run around from everyone, including the cold shoulder from the office. I ended up having packages delivered to my work or the Amazon locker at Safeway because I couldnt trust the office systems. Parking is a whole other issue as the city recently expanded 2 hour parking so we had to leave our cars several blocks away and even then had them towed a few times as any car left for more than 7 days is considered abandoned and the locals are happy to report your vehicle. Consider setting aside $600 for a random tow if you dont pay the exorbitant amount for a spot on the garage.Although the apartments are definitely nicer, the stairways up are always gross with trash, half empty bottles, and worse including broken glass spread around for months. People dont clean up after their pets quite often either. I would call the exercise equipment cheap especially when the novelty boxing machine was constantly broken or out of order.Interior design was not a priority. Our kitchen sink couldnt turn all the way hot as the handle hit the counter and marked it up. Most choices appeared to be picked for their low cost including a new dryer that couldnt dry a full load out of the washer and a lack of overhead lighting. Where there was overhead lighting, it was dim or not effective like of you stand at the sink the sink itself is shadow.Overall, I would choose a different location of given the chance. From the office mix-ups and low quality support (you arent their priority) to lack of clean/safe stairwells and other issues, this place just isnt luxury other than the location. And even then parking is a pain.Edit: not worth replying. Delaying deposit refund isnt part of policy, its illegal. We didnt report it to just move on. The lease renewal mixup also borders on illegal as it was an illegal increase if meant for us. If we didnt know our rights we might have signed off without knowing they were breaking the law with a cover story on the mixup if asked, like we did.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great location and good price. Its also surprisingly quiet. My only very minor issues are with the recycling/garbage (and this is the renters fault just as much as the ownership, but there isnt quite enough space and people are bad about putting things where they should), and with the fact that there are not enough overhead lights in the apartment, so you need a lot of lamps. The new management is fixing lots of the outdoors, fitness room, and residents lounge nicely, which is great.
The place was under new management when I came and somewhat chaotic but they now definitely have it together. The outdoor area is really nicely fixed up, the lounge is redecorated, the garbage collection is vastly better, as is notification about packages. Friendly staff and great location. Quiet, and I like the ease of grocery shopping since we’re over a Safeway.
Update: I wanted to give a update I left a low rating due to management at the time. I can tell that there’s been a shift I had no intentions of renewing my lease but seeing the change has helped my decision. Now I will be staying another year.
My wife and I moved in recently. And although the new management has some growing pains from taking over, they are always responsive and helpful when we contact them.Plus we love the location, so much within walking distanve
The new management is unfriendly, always staring at their cell phones, and seem put out when you interact with them. Since they took over, the trash pick up is abysmal with piles of it not being picked up on a regular basis. The coffee maker in the club house is often down, and they stick you with strange fees once your lease is up and you move out. A word to the wise: before moving out be sure to film every square inch of your apartment as proof that meticulous care was taken while as a resident or you will get stuck with absurd fees that no way reflect reality. Im definitely NOT an internet troll, but I had to speak out and warn people.
This is my 31st year here, love the convenience and the people, neighbors and staff. My maintenance request was handled excellently and promptly.
This is one of the worst run and lowest quality places we have ever lived. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
