I lived here since 03.2021. To be honest, this apartment was good at first. It is clean and convenient. But at June, my unit is full of vibration and I can not fall asleep. I communicated with the leasing office, it turns out that the vibration is from the unit below me. Every time they turn on the ceiling fan, my unit will be full of vibration. The vibration lasts for 4 months. It occurs at early morning and midnight mostly. Leasing office said it is their right to use the ceiling fan and they will do nothing about my complaint. This is true, it is nothing about the unit below me. The problem is this apartment has very very poor soundproof, so the only thing you can do is praying that your neighbor is quiet enough. I lived in this vibration for four months(hope they will not turn on the ceiling fan at winter) which makes me distress and anxiety. I cant have a good sleep and need to work with this vibration. If you are not sensitive to noise, you could choose this apartment. Otherwise, I dont recommend this apratment.
Moved in for about one month now. So far my experience has been good. First I like the location. It’s walkable to a few great coffee and brunch places, bus stops, and though a little further still walkable to markets and light rail station. Staffs are friendly. I had great experience during the tour and signing process. Amenities are clean from what I experienced. Two dog area and two paw wash station make it convenient for dog owners. If I can make one recommendations it would be to please add a coffee machine in phase 2.
Really clean apartment with nice maintenance. I love enjoying the view from the roof top with a free Starbucks coffee for residents. I have been living here with my husband for little over 2 months now, and we love here! I thank all the staffs working here for keeping this place neat and safe all the time.
I am disappointed by the important floor information that the leasing office and their website is hiding from me. It is the first time I see the concrete floor in the US which is totally different from the showroom I toured, since this unit was not available at that time. The leasing office also told me that they have the same furnishing style. It made me shocked the first day I moved in, and not to mention the damaged areas and dirty marks and lines on the floor. I also found that their website also advertises the floor to be Vinyl plank flooring, which is obviously a false advertisement. If I saw the concrete floor before, I would never rent this unit from their apartment. After I raised this issue to the apartment complex, they insisted it to be a miscommunication and implied that I do not have evidence that they didnt have informed me before I signed the lease, by saying but I was not there, which made me more annoyed.Result: I got early lease termination with 20 days notice without settlement fee and $75 monthly rent concession (notice it took us 20+ emails to get from nothing to humiliating $25 and then to $75). I have accepted it since it already took me several weeks to negotiate with them. But still, I think any potential renters should be aware about the situation and not to be misled by their apartment like I was.
My husband and I have lived here for 2 years now and have never had any issues with them. All of the people that work here are very friendly and have always done their best to assist the people that live here. They provide ample notification before any required maintenance takes place. If there are any unexpected issues that arise, they email us as soon as theyre able to, as well as providing updates in a timely manner. The apartments are pretty well soundproofed for what you would expect from an apartment in the city. You can hear the occasional doors shutting and the sounds of the city (depending on floor and whether you have your windows open)
I’ve lived here over almost coming up to a year since end of 2020.Pros: Convenient location, walkable to cafe’s, restaurants, transportation. The apartments are well maintained and clean, the staff and maintenance generally handle concerns responsively. Amenities like community room, rooftop access, gym, pretty typical for comparable apt’s. The concrete walls on first and second floor do block general noise, except noise from the gym, much better than higher floors.Cons: gym noise, if you’re anywhere near the gym on the 2nd or 1st floor I imagine, you’ll hear people dropping weights, they pay no attention to the dont drop weight signs on the wall. Thus far management hasnt taken significant action to solve the problem and it continues to be an issue. The noise reverberates through the concrete walls, sometimes from 6am or near midnight, which is super obnoxious. 24 hr gym access is NOT conducive to good sleep. Ive also lived on higher floors, the sound insulation between floors isn’t great, you’ll hear noise from people above, walking, closing bedroom door etc, so you better get some good upstair neighbors.
I enjoyed my two years at AMLI SLU (Phase I). The building was always clean and felt secure. RJ, the manager who ran the leasing office when I moved in, was always super friendly and quick to resolve any issues or respond to communication. I never really had any major issues with the staff or building.Unfortunately, it was like a switch flipped the minute I decided to not renew my lease. Roughly a month prior to moving out, I put in three maintenance requests, one of which was for my toilet that was continuously running. I got an email the following day from their resident platform that my maintenance request had been removed from the system without completion. I mentioned the running toilet to one of the office employees in-person shortly after my request was removed and she told me not to worry about it and theyd repair it after I move out. A couple weeks later, I got an email from the same woman I had spoken to in-person. In this email she said that they had noticed and unusual amount of water usage coming from my unit. I replied to her email by reminding her that the running toilet I had already told her about and sent a maintenance request for was likely the culprit. (I should also mention that I had essentially moved out of my unit at this point, so there was minimal utility usage since I wasnt actively living there.) At that point, she finally had someone fix it. This running toilet, which they delayed fixing, ended up costing me a whopping $532.79 for final water and sewage utility. When I reached out to Katy in the leasing office with questions about some of the final utility charges, she did not respond. The staff also doesnt seem to understand their own move out procedures. One employee recommended that I schedule a final walk through on the day my lease ended. This woman told me that theres only one employee that does final walk throughs and that she would schedule an appointment for me to do that with her. I took time off work, showed up to the appointment, and then this mysterious walk through woman never showed. When I went down to the leasing office to ask about the woman who was supposed to meet me at my unit, Katy (who I think is the manager?) seemed very confused as to why I had an appointment scheduled because apparently that is not how they do things. It was a gigantic waste valuable workday time.Side note: they also have a super sketchy move out policy of things that you could potentially be charged for after moving out. For example, if the carpet happens to be 5 years old when you move out, you could be charge hundreds of dollars to replace the carpet. *Fingers crossed youre not the unlucky SOB who gets stuck with 5-year-old carpet!* Overall, just very bizarre policies and very clear that they try to squeeze as much cash out of you before you peace out.TL;DR: Great place to live until you tell them youre moving out. They stop responding to communication and attempt to hit you with as many charges as possible. Would not recommend this place to anyone based on the treatment I received while moving out.
Amli South Lake Union has been a great experience! The amenities are terrific and the staff is always very courteous and helpful. You really can’t beat the location, because it is next to South Lake, the Space needle, and just a bus ride away to Pike Market Place. Not to mention the food in the area is awesome. Highly recommend the Japanese Restaurant downstairs Teinei. Don’t forget to ask about resident discount. Overall highly recommend living here.
The best staff and amenities out of all my apartment tours and that was my deciding factor, they are very nice, helpful and efficient!
Since moving in, my wife and I have loved our apartment. The rooms are fantastic and the view is spectacular. Great find in South Lake Union.
I had an amazing experience with Amli. We love the view from our apartment and staff is also very supportive.
Lived in the place for 2+ months so far, and the service has been mostly pleasant so far. Leasing office was accommodating during move-in, and remains to have a relatively short response period for any inquiries. There has been a minor hiccup in the past, but they have put their effort to fix it.
Super responsive and attentive leasing office staff. Its been a great experience from tours through moving in. Ive lived in a few similar buildings owned by other companies and the staff at AMLI has been the best so far!
Much like run-down big brand hotel. Same service, same crowd. Dog owners are the worst.
I visited over 10 different properties in Seattle, and AMLI SLU easily made it into my top three (based on location, amenities, & cleanliness). They made it to #1 because of their professionalism and amazing customer service. I cant say enough about Casey and Katy and how pleased I was to work with them. Glad to be a resident at AMLI SLU!
Ive thoroughly enjoyed living here the past year. Its a great location, complex is very well kept, and the staff in the leasing office are such a pleasure to work with. Katy, Casey, and RJ have been nothing but helpful during my time here. The building is in a great spot, close to the main roads but not so close that you get a ton of off street noise at night. It has all the standard amenities like a gym, common areas with kitchen appliances, rooftop deck, meeting rooms/wprkspaces, and theyve been gradually adding new things since I moved in to make living here more convenient like the new Tide laundry and dry cleaning lockers. They really put a lot of effort into making this a pleasant community.
Love these apartments and especially the staff here are extremely wonderful. First about the apartments, very safe with access card restrictions at every entry pint and for using the lift, and I have never seen the garage door or other doors not working. The parking spots are a bit tight but hey it’s SLU! The apartment area is absolutely pristine clean and always well kept. The apartments are spacious(especially mine) and at a very competitive rates and they always have some specials going on! The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and they go beyond their times to help us out which has been extremely helpful to me as I moved here alone and had to move in some furniture and yes they helped me with letting the delivery into my apartment. Love living here. Walkable to all good places and transportation to downtown.
I went to their office to ask when they could finish a maintenance request which I put there for a week (they have a 48-hour policy). The staff RJ kept telling me he would follow up with the maintenance team without giving me any useful information( I hadnt been able to do laundry for 2 weeks since the washer was shaking violently). He asked me do not to sit here or I will call 911 to escort you out. Yeah, he told me that and he really called 911 to ask a resident leave their leasing office (when he was doing the call, I heard he actually gave out my name and contact information). Not sure where did those positive reviews come from, I would definitely not recommend this property.
All the staff is amazing here and the price is very competitive, with the best closet space of any apartment in the city. The gym in phase 1 is really great and the common areas are always kept up. Highly recommend this building to anyone looking for a nice place to live that isn’t overpriced and has great amenities.
Had an amazing experience! I left my Amazon echo up on one of the roof top amenity areas and one of the leasing agents collected my Echo. I got notified with an email letting me know my echo was retrieved and in the office! Thank you so much! I really appreciate your efforts for taking the extra mile to help me!!!
Leasing staff is awesome, maintenance is responsive and comes quickly, and the units are beautiful. Amenities here are great and I don’t have to pay for an extra gym membership. There are also fun events that happen each month like waffles on national waffle week. Definitely recommend!
They were very attentive when I had an issue with a tenant leaving a terrible voicemail about parking in the lot. Thank you
Stayed here for a yearLong story short : It sucks ! Stay awayInitial phase : I visited this community when I just moved to Seattle. I liked almost everything about it and decided to rent a 2 bed 2 bath with my room mate. The apartment that I wanted to lease was occupied, hence I could not see it for myself. However, I was promised that it is a home with equally spaced rooms. The day we moved in, turns out it wasnt. Anyway, I sorted that out with my room mate.Mid-phase : Pretty much everything looked fine hardly much to complain about. Some key call out :1. Parking is expensive and worst in terms of space.2. Amenities close down at 10 and require you to pay extra to reserve them.3. Staff changed after we moved it and was replaced by some rude set of people.Last phase : We submitted our notice on time and also opted in for a hassle free cleaning at the time of vacating it. Turns out they blamed us for heavy wear of carpets which were already like 4 year old when we occupied that space. The carpets were fine but they never really cleaned them because they thought in their 9 years of experience that it was just heavy wear. When I challenged that with some logic, I was threatened with some leaking wall pictures (which I have no clue about). The apartment never had the leaking wall because a $1000 TV was hung on it for the entire year. Anyway the money they were extorting out of our pockets wasnt viable enough to lawyer up. Hence, bit the bullet and paid them in full. Can you end up in the same problem - Yes !Would I recommend them ? No !
If you are looking for EXCELLENT customer service, look no further. This has been by far the best moving experience for us, no questions asked. Jessica, Katy, Cameron and the team have really made every effort to provide us with the most amazing hassle-free transition and have helped us along even the worst hiccups throughout our international relocation. I would recommend AMLI to anyone moving to Seattle from anywhere in the U.S or any other country.
Ive lived in AMLI for a year and Im so happy to move out finally. Expect the elevators to never work, monthly charges 20% above the quote, and the company to keep charging you months and months after you move out despite paying ALL the bills in time and in full.Definitely not recommended place to stay.
My experience here has been nothing but pleasant. Friendly office staff, great amenities and a hard working maintenance crew.
We really like these guys! The leasing office, maintenance staff (Tony especially), and building amenities are all wonderful. We have lived a few places in Seattle and this has been by far our favorite
View is nice. Staffs are very nice. The apartment itself is nice. However, The bedroom is so cold during night because the air-condition in the most high heat cannot warm the room. During these cold days, the most important thing is the heater!
I have lived here since June 2015 and it is the best apartment complex I have lived in. The apartments are high end, beautiful, well built. There are hardwood floors however, and you can hear your neighbors above you, but most of the time there are no issues there, either (apartment living). There are many common areas, and things are very clean. I have a great view, large deck, and any calls for maintenance or other issues have been promptly responded to. I highly recommend. The only drawback would be very tight parking spaces in the building, but thats it.
Building expensive for what you get. Management team used to be really good but theyve lost their way--they were unable to accommodate a simple 3 month lease extension after living in the building for 4 years without causing a single problem. They tried charging $3,900/month for a cookie cutter 2br 2bath 850 sq feet... they are crazy.
Weve been living at AMLI SLU for about 9 months, and our experience with the people and facilities has been top-notch so far. Carlos and Marcus were helpful and courteous while we were apartment hunting, and went out of their way to dig up old pictures of the unit we were interested in despite it being currently occupied. They patiently worked through the application and move-in phase with us, and answered all the questions we had.Since weve moved in, we are quite happy with how well-maintained the facilities are. We live in the Phase 2 building which is newer, and the quality of the fixtures and finishes is high. The staff have always been pleasant to deal with (Tony, Jascha, Minerva, Cameron) and are always up for a chat. I wont forget how the leasing office went out of their way to help us when our apartment keys (among other things) were stolen from us while we were traveling out of town; they made it as easy as possible for us to get back home, and Ill always be grateful for that.I do think we are paying a premium to live in South Lake Union - once the work crowd leaves for the day, it feels pretty empty/soulless. I wish we could take everything about AMLI SLU and plonk it in a much more interesting or exciting neighborhood! Do your research on the neighborhood before even considering living here. If the circumstances are right for you (easy to get to work, amenities, highway access etc.) then you can do much worse than choosing AMLI.
Had a wonderful and smooth move-in experience. Great staff!
Horrible management. Extremely clear they couldnt care less about you as a person.. just an account number. Plus rent is a complete joke. Avoid!!!
The place is pretty solid. I read the rest of the reviews and most of the people who reviewed seemed an tiny bit soft. The extra amenities are really nice: free Starbucks coffee machine, huge rooms with TVs to watch big games and host people (it does cost extra but its not bad at all for what they offer in terms of views and convenience and stuff). Packages never get lost with the Luxor system which is fiiiire. Two gyms, a wood shop, a theater, and several different business offices to use computers and print stuff. Parking is expensive but its Seattle bruh you be payin for everything but the air u breathin round here. The leasing office staff has been nothing but nice and accommodating. They definitely have bent over backwards for us on several different occasions, and I have recommended this place to hundreds (literally hundreds) of my friends because of this alone. Some tenants dont like being walked on from above but thats with any sort of community living I guess. The maintenance staff is constantly keeping the place clean and fixed up. Tony is one of the guys who always stands out to us as a guy with a smile on his face who is always stoked on pretty much everything. A real g. Jason is another guy and who seems like a solid dude also. They are always working or on call if something goes wrong in the building. All in all, Id highly recommend this place as somewhere to live. Granted, we havent moved out yet and some of the reviews about moving out were negative so I guess I cant speak to that. But, I am a fantastic judge of character and no red flags here. They always keepin it real
Vandalism, storage unit break-in, rude staff, slow response to maintenance request, not recommend.
The service there is terrible. Some people are so impatient and not nice at all. I forgot to bring my key to my apartment and asked them to lend the spare key. They questioned me if I lost my key and asked me to remember to bring it next time. Also, I lived there for just one year and they have already increase the rent by 200 dollars a month!
Cant wait to move out. Parking is a nightmare, my boyfriends bike got stolen from a secured area, neighbors are noisy at night and maintenance is noisy in the morning. Overpriced.
