Dr. Pryor was very dismissive of my concerns and gave me no answers or recommendations to improve my swollen tonsils. During my visit, he told me that I was below his pay grade and that he did not understand why I was in his office. He was very obviously in a rush to get me out the door and did not express any empathy towards my situation or discomfort. The only thing he did was swab my tonsils and send that swab to a lab. I was told I would be called with my results in two days time; however, I did not hear from his office until 8 days later when I finally called them to inquire. Two weeks later, I received a bill in the mail for $200 for my swab results being processed in a DNA sequencing laboratory in Texas. I was not made aware of the expensive price tag of this test and I do not understand why this specialized facility was necessary.I would definitely not recommend Dr. Pryor or this particular office of Valley ENT to anyone I know.
Seen this Dr. a few years back for what I thought was sinus issues after surgery on a broken septum. He scopes it out and tells me that my septum is still deviated and that a second surgery should fix that. No X-ray, CT, or MRI even though I told him what cake like stuff was coming out of my head?Behind the turbans. Had he done any of those he would have seen the enormous amount of fungus that had been growing inside my left sinus as it was hiding in the deepest darkest place it could find. He was even shocked at the amount of fungus!!!!!So after surgery and healing things were fine for a few weeks, then the issue arise again and needing a surgery to support a collapsed nasal valve, which is what I was concerned about in my first visit!?!Naturally I’m concerned with the fungus having no ammune system I share my concerns again!!!!!!It’s a scary thing to have right there near your brain!!!!I ask him if I should have meds to get rid of it. To spite me telling him that I’m still having this horrible stuff coming out of sinus and dropping into my throat to gag on and hack up, he tells me no and that it was gone and sinus clear.I have to practically beg him for antifungal !?! After my last follow up to spite me telling him there are still issues he tells me my sinuses are clear and to stop using the antifungal rinse.Mind you, during this whole time he and his assistant are almost to the point of rude! They appeared annoyed that I was asking questions ABOUT MY HEALTH and that they could care less about it.He is a facial reconstructive plastic surgeon, which is why I chose him thinking that he would do things right the first time. He seemed very annoyed that I was going through my insurance, which by the way he doesn’t accept any longer.I feel he’s in it for the money and not for the health of his patients.I have been going through hell ever since!!! There isn’t a day that goes by when I don’t have several bouts of having to hack up gobs of fungus that drops from my sinuses. Gagging, heaving and having to latterly repack in the back of my throat to pull it out.I can’t go anywhere, do anything or even talk without it loosening up and causing me to gag and vomit.Tried to make an appointment today at an office close to my house because he is 50 min. away on a good day. They have to get a release from one Dr. for you to see another!?! Never have I ever heard of such a thing!?! That there tells you it’s about the money and NOT the well-being of the patient!I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY OF THE Valley ENT offices!!!!
