I called and the owner said it was “a precision cut” and “best your gonna get for a old car without a template” are you kidding me if you professionally tint you should be able to precisely do it without a template. I later took the door panel off to find that my tint is so botched waste of $300 DO NOTTTT RECOMMEND

I like this joint. Had ceramic tint added to my two front windows a few months ago. I did about 5,000 miles to Florida and back, wasn’t bothered by the sun at all on this trip. However I noticed my steering wheel was getting hot while pulling my camper. I just went and had sun strip done. This should take car of that problem.

Made an appointment to have the two front window tints and a windshield strip added to my husbands truck as an early Fathers Day gift. I had been referred to Kustom Tint Auto Appearance Center from numerous friends so I didnt hesitate to set up an appointment. We dropped the truck off and within an hour the work was done. The whole transaction from start to finish was very easy and simple! The work done was worth every penny! Unfortunately, I dont have any pictures to add to this post so hopefully I can add some later but my husbands truck looks awesome. Quality work and quality material. We will recommend Kustom Tint to all our friends and family!

So I was going to take my fiances car in there to get tinted and some extra work done and she emailed and called the guy in February and still hasnt received a response. But seeing the comment from the gage guy below me I dont think I wouldnt to do business with this guy and his responses to peoples criticism is very poor and childish its not a good way to do business. If you own a business you should be able to take criticism and try to do right by the person youve wronged. It seems like if he could just answer the phone or respond to an email this wouldnt be a problem

Very poor at answering the phones and getting back to you. Plus my appointment was canceled because they didn’t return my call to change the day and I can no longer make an appointment because I am banned I highly do not recommend. I did call multiple times to cancel and switch my scheduled tint day but was already banned according to owner and he said there was nothing he can do it’s not not a lie he just doesn’t do good business. I also tried to call 7 times after I made my scheduled appointment to make sure and even left voicemails but no returned calls. now I’m banned from his business and being called a liar by the fool who runs it so believe what you people want but at the end of the day he’s unprofessional.

The owner is really helpful and knowledgeable. They do a lot more than just tinting. Their shop is very clean and they are ultra careful with the vehicles they are working on. Did some custom HiD lights for me a year ago at their location in Crown Point. They did a good job. I needed some work done to one of my other vehicles. I didnt know you have to call to schedule an appointment. I called and left a voicemail but no one ever called back. Ill have to go elsewhere.

I had my truck front wimdows tinted which the edges are pretty rough and my 3rd brakelight wrapped which is still showing red on the edges and is wrinkled have to go get both redone wouldnt recommend for the prices!

Just had my fourth vehicle tinted here. Fantastic job, again! I had an issue with a previous vehicle and it was resolved without any hassle from this shop. This is the best place in the area for sure. Not sure what some of these reviewers are talking about. Received a genuine quality job on my sedan. I had the windows tinted, clear shield put on the entire front of the car, plus, ceramic coating, and I had my pillars covered on carbon fiber.Results:-Not a single bubble, crease, or mistake in the tint.-The clear shields are invisible, but are definitely there.-The ceramic coating gives my car a beautiful clean mirror shine, much better than wax.-Window pillars done in carbon fiber give the car a insane cool look and protects the pillars from getting all scratched up.The man that runs the place, Michael, told me he has 20+ years going this type of work. It shows on my cars, and the others he has on the lot throughout the day. Out of all my cars Ive had tinted (4) this is the best job ever.

Just got tints done here last week. I have a 2016 Hyundai Accent. Theyre prices are already super reasonable but I happened to book my appointment on a deal that they had just made making the total price $120. Theyre customer service was amazing and they finished my car in about an hour which is super fast for a tiny job!!! Once my car was done I left 100% happy!!! My tints look so nice and professional, I did get the 20% tints too. To top it off these tints have a lifetime warranty! I am pleased!!

Ive been coming here for about a couple of years now with no problem what so ever. Whatever you need done, the staff will do. They go above and beyond expectations to deliver amazing work as well as customer service. Not many places like these will deliver that, but this place exceeds its expectations.

I normally dont write reviews, unless I am either really upset or overly pleased with the service I received. Took my 2017 Honda Civic here to get new tint. Called the day before I wanted to get the tint done, and they were booked solid. However, they said if I wanted to drop off the car they would make sure they got it done that day no matter if it took staying beyond closing time. Sure enough I received a phone call later that day telling me it was ready. One other note, after I had made my choice of tint and finished all the paperwork, I had a change of heart and called back to change my selection if they hadnt started yet. Luckily they hadnt and they had no problem changing it for me. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was amazed at how good it looked. I was even more impressed with the quality of their work. Not sure what I was most pleased with, the customer service, the quality of work, or the finished product.We will be back. Dont waste your time with the other places in NWI, Kustom Tint is the ONLY place to go. Thanks for the great work and for working me in at the last minute......

Had my 2014 Fusion tint done there. Easy going staff. They dont push sales on you or try to sell you stuff you dont want and are willing to answer all your questions. They do much more then just tinting.They finished my car in short time for about 120 bucks. I needed to make an appointment. However I feel that some of their prices on other services are rather steep. But I feel that if you wanna do it right have them do it.

Top service. I made an appointment that was met on-time. Owner super nice guy. Tint on my Yukon looks awesome. Was explained everything about the tint and how to care of it afterwards. I just wanted to know what pricing will be like for my 2013 Honda civic lx 4 door with a windshield strip. You’re closed for the weekend and I did not see anything on the website so I thought I could get a response this way. If you see this please give me a pricing option so I can consider getting my windows done here. Got my car tinted from these guys and let me tell you they did an amazing job for how picky I am. Ran into one small issue nothing big but I let the guy know and he took care of me right away!! Excellent customer service!!! O and just to confirm from the last negative review, they let you know right away what the legal tint limit is before you tell them what percentage you want but hey thats also what Google is for.

The red genesis coupe you see on their website with the lamborghini doors is mine. Had it done in indiana years back. Everything went well in the beginning until I picked up the car and saw the quality of work they did. The doors did not line up. Made me cringe every single time they closed the door. I told them it did not line up and thought the door should shut like factory. I opened and closed the doors softly and you just hear a smashing hitting sound. Told the owner, and he really didnt care about what I thought. Just told me its suppose to be like that and thats the best they can do. It also made my friends and family cringe as they open and close the doors and all you here is a hitting and smashing sound as the doors did not line up well at all. It was very embarrassing. Took the bumper off myself and realigned the doors my self. Vertical doors inc is a good product. Installers were the problem. I do not recommend this shop at all in indiana.

Their tint does not have life time warranty. They wont fix it if it begins to peel. They will say its your cars normal wear and tear. Basically, they say life time warranty but wont honor their work. Will not go back, wasted good money on a crappy product. Staff was okay.

I have had them do tint work and audio work and by far in northwest indiana they have the best prices around. They rates are actually the best around with quality work!

Kustom tint strives for great quality work. When you get tint on your car you are basically putting on a sticker. If your car has tons of dog hair etc it is most likely that that hair will get caught in between the tint and the window causing it to not look good. Also if the installer gets in the car it contaminates his clothing allowing hair to get into our other customers cars. Its a vicious cycle that we try to avoid. I hope our customers understand and respect this. You will see some negative reviews on here of people who have never been to the shop but are friends of the people who have. We are a family owned business and are nwis #1 tint shop. We appreciate our customers and doing the best work on your car is our number 1 priority.

As someone who works in the medical field and deals with customer service daily, I have to say I am absolutely appalled by the service of this business. 3 weeks ago, I had tint work done on my front windshield as well as matching tint applied to the driver and passenger side windows. After 3 weeks, the windshield tint still didnt settle right, so arrangements were made to replace the tint on the windshield. I stopped in, spoke with who I assume is the owner, and made a 9:30am appointment for a Monday morning. I am extremely organized and I put the appointment reminder in my calander immediately as I was leaving. I was working an overnight ER shift the night before and knew scheduling would work out perfectly after my shift was done at 8:30am.Hours of business for Kustom are listed on their Facebook page as starting at 9:00am, M-Sat, while their building specifies 9:15am opening. I showed up at 9:20am that Monday morning, and no one was there. There was no sign indicating a late arrival or opening. I waited for 20 minutes and still no one showed up. I tried calling and no one answered. I didnt have a ride home so I left with an Uber driver and had to leave my car there unlocked with the keys in it which I never like doing. Why they dont have a drop box I dont understand, but thats besides the point.I call Kustom multiple times after getting home and finally at 10:00am the owner answers. I asked him why someone was not there when they opened and he gave some excuse about being late, yet never once offered an apology. He asked me why I was calling and I stated I had an appointment at 9:30. I again explained to him my frustrations considering I had an appointment, I waited for no one to show up, and I ultimately had to leave with my car left open which a client shouldnt have to do, especially when showing up during NORMAL business hours. He then proceeded to argue with me and tell me that my appointment was at 10:00 am, and stated to me that it was my fault that I was early! Who has the nerve to state to a client, who shows up during NORMAL business hours mind you, that it is their fault that no one was there because they showed up early to an appointment that was actually at 9:30?? The details are actually a besides the point, but the approach to customer service is appalling! When I proceeded to explain why I was frustrated, the guy then told me that he is late for clients all the time, and that they just get over it and move on. He then states to me that he does not want a client like me, so he will take my tint off and give me a refund, and that I can pick my car up in an hour. Ummm what?? That wasnt even the point! A simple apology for being late would have been sufficient, not placing the blame on your client for being early when all she did was show up during your normal business hours! I work in the medical field, and I praise clients for being on time, let alone early! I couldnt imagine not having my doors open during NORMAL business hours, and then telling a client, when we were the ones who were late, that its actually THEIR fault for being early, and then telling them that I dont want their business for something I screwed up!I have NEVER been met with such horrible customer service! I dont know if because Im a woman you think you can act like that, but let me tell you, Im the wrong woman to mess with. To treat people like that is NOT ok and I will NEVER recommend anyone to come to this business. You should seriously be appalled with the way you handled this situation and take a good look in the mirror as to how you handle business.....

Allowing illegal tints to be put on a kids vehicles and not informing them when it is illegal!In my view they have fully taken advantage of a young kid and knowing the consequences! Then you have to pay to get them removed this is not a way to get repeat business! Plus, any work that may have legal consequences should be signed off by the owner of the vehicle!

We took my wifes car there to get the windows tinted and they ripped off the vent visors off the doors to tint the windows it would have been nice to let us know if the car had vent visors that they would have to come off to tent the car....
