The people who work at car dealerships are called mechanics, but theyre not! More like vultures! I had some trouble with my truck and the dealership was going to charge me an arm and a leg for possible fixes, but they couldnt figure out the problem. Frustrated with them, I decided to call up Sanderlins Automotive, because I had heard good things about them. Billy, over the phone, told me exactly what he thought the problem was but told me to bring it down after work so he could take a look at it. Mind you, his day was over by the time I got there! He checked out my truck, confirmed what he had thought and quoted me a price HALF THE DEALERS. If you want REAL mechanics working on your vehicle, first stop should be Sanderlins! Great people, great prices, great work. Im not taking my truck anywhere else!

Sanderlin knows more about cars than anyone Ive ever met. He can tell you whats wrong with your car before you have the chance to tell him, just by listening to it. Theyre the nicest people who wont charge you for services you dont need. This is the only shop Ill take my cars to, even if I have to tow from across town.

It took these clowns a month to diagnose a timing belt and another 3 weeks to get it fixed. Then, they have the gall to lie and tell me they left a voicemail 2 weeks prior saying it was done when, in fact, no they did not. Take your business literally anywhere else. Do not have this shop work on your car. You will absolutely regret it.

Cheryl and Billy was so understanding and patient with me and my son. My son car wouldnt start and we thought it was the alternator, but it was the starter and than Billy found that the wires that connects to the starter was burned out and needed to be replaced before he did that he called my son and explained the problem and got the okay to do the job. The tow truck person Alan that has been working a long time with them was very cautious with his car and really polite and a gentleman. I read reviews and they had such glowing reviews and I am so happy I found them my son is so happy he has his car and the owners has a new customer coming in for his car repairs. Billy diagnosed and fixed up our company box truck, after we had taken it to several other mechanics, who couldnt figure out what was wrong. Several hundred dollars later, and a box truck that still didnt work, someone recommended Sanderlins. Billy fixed it up after really spending a lot of careful time on it, and it hasnt had any problems since he fixed it.When our family vehicle died on the side of the road, we had it towed to a closer mechanic. They kept it for a few weeks, but couldnt pinpoint the problem, and recommended that we try a dealer instead. Instead, we had it towed to Sanderlins. He diagnosed and fixed up the problem again.We are so glad weve finally found a reliable, excellent and honest mechanic! WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Mothers Day Sunday while traveling back from our sons wedding on Jekyll Island our GMC Suburban suddenly lost power and stopped on I-95 just before I-16. We abandoned the vehicle and traveled on home as we had an extra vehicle at the wedding. Around 9am Monday I spoke will Billy Sanderlin. He had the vehicle towed to his shop and by 11:30 called to tell me the vehicle was ready. When I went back on Thursday to pick up the vehicle I was amazed at how reasonable the bill was. In a day where too many shops take advantage of stranded motorists it is refreshing to know there are still shops run by men of integrity. I would highly recommend Sanderlins Automotive Services to anyone. They are professional, courteous, and timely. Also there invoices are clear and straightforward. Most of all there prices are reasonable.

Billy Sanderlin is the owner and the most trusted mechanic in Savannah. He would like retire but has so many customers that he decided to close on Friday and enjoy a 3 day weekend instead.

I went in to ask for a pricing because I heard how good he was and fair prices and that he would work with you, well thats all Bull! He wanted to charge $98 to run a test which tells you what exactly the problem is and a that is you uses a tester which only takes a few mins. Then he wanted to charge $97 per hour just to switch out a pump and that doesnt take long plus his add says you will be completely finished within 5min - 2 1/2 hours. Plus the price of the pump is separate. I have found someone that if I purchase the pump will run the test plus put it on for only $75. Usually he charged $150 regardless how long it took and he worked with me on the price because of my budget! Now my car runs like brand knew and all without breaking me.Next time you want a review go and talk to Billy and get your own cause the ones I followed on here were full of it!

I heard about Mr. sanderlin auto shop through my sister and decided to give him a try I called to see if I needed an appointment and was told it wasnt necessary and to bring the car by the following Monday..The customer service on the phone was awesome and thats it..when dropped my car off Monday morning I waited for a phone call and didnt receive one so I called ..The front desk person answered and said Mr. Sanderlain will call u back ...this back and forth went on until Thursday..he never called me back to tell me the issues with my car until I finally got a hold of him Wednesday..he told me a few issues that were wrong but he said he would call me back when he found out everything that was wrong ...never got a call back..so I decided to just go up to the shop and get my car..so I told Mr sanderlain if your not going to have my car ready today Im picking it up..and he was relieved that he had one less car to worry about ..he said he is overwhelmed with cars..he wants to shoot himself ..the phone keeps ringing..and he looked stressed....remember he had my car from Monday to Thursday and it has not been touched...my car could have been at another automotive shop being fixed by now.. He did not care about my time..but honestly all he had to do was say maam I dont have time to look at or work on your vehicle..it will be days ...instead of my car just sitting. If he had communicated that to me I would have been fine..he did not apologize.. He just expressed how overwhelmed he was and that was not my problem.. Or common sense would be to only book appointments..or take a certain amount of cars a day....anyway I took my car to Firestone that same day..got a quote that same day ...and my rotors were fixed the next day...smh

Sanderlins is the best repair shop in town! Hes very honest and has never tried to gouge anyone. I have a very old 94 Miata on its last leg but he has kept it going... doing repairs on it that no one else would even try and kept the price enormously low.Just the other day I took my car to another, actually very popular shop in town just based on the closeness to try to avoid towing. They quoted me $1600 to repair it which almost made me take it to the junk. I ended up towing it to Sanderlins, since i know hes someone i can always trust and he fixed it for $300! It didnt even need all the stuff the other shop said it did.Its rare for me to write reviews but i had too this time! Ive taken my little car to atleast 10 other mechanics in town... and all of them probably did more harm than good. I will never deal with any another mechanic again, besides Sanderlins!
