Absolute wonderful experience! Not only were the problems quickly identified, they were beyond fair in pricing, speed in getting a quote to me and completing the work. Tom and his team are phenomenal! Thank you for making sure my car is safe and reliable! You will always have my referrals and my business.
Tom always provides detailed explanations, options for service. His team provides high quality services at very fare & reasonable prices. I will always recommend Boeser Automotive for any vehicle repair, great or small!
I am a regular customer of Boeser Automotive. Boeser Automotive consistently provides an honest and very price competitive service. I am extremely satisfied with their professional and customer centered approach to business. I would recommend Boeser Automotive to anyone in need of automotive services.
Love these guys!! They were awesome, so nice and professional, will definitely be going there from now on!
Tom (the owner) is generous with his time and has a deep understanding for cars. Hes been servicing police cars for years and his reputation precedes him. When I purchased my new car, I spent a lot of time researching mechanics because I wanted to build a lasting relationship with someone I could trust with my car for maintenance. Im so glad I found Boeser Automotive. Id highly recommend.
Very friendly and honest. Safe, professional, quality, and fast work. Gets you in and out quickly and you can be confident in the work they do.
Tom was open and honest from the time I step into his shop about what was going on with my vehicle as I explained it to him. He even found the parts Nissan installed incorrectly also some damage underneath my vehicle as well he took care of it and I definitely will be coming to the shop in the near future a great guy and know his stuff.I recommend anyoneto come here.
Tom and his crew fixed a brake light, oil change and status report on my aging Yukon then went above and beyond by buffing out a long scratch on my hood. I felt very taken care of and glad I came. I’ll be back as a regular with confidence in their work and car advice.
I highly recommend Boeser Automotive. I trust Tom completely to give me his honest assessment and I never feel like hes trying to sell me repairs that dont absolutely need to be done. Each repair we have had done at Boesers has been diagnosed correctly, repaired in a timely manner and always at a very fair price!
Class acts fixed my transmission on my 2014 impala its runs and rides better than ever I was quoted 3800 at the dealership they came in below 2000 almost half price tom was very helpful and knowledgable you got a customer for life if you need work on your transmission tom and boeser automotive are your guys thx so much
Tom runs a great shop. He is happy to discuss the what and whys of the repairs you are paying for. He also described future concerns without pressure. My wife likes Boesers because they treat her with respect. She says other shops tend to disregard and talk down to women. See ya next oil change or breakdown!
Logan is so helpful, took my car in for a scan close before close, he helped me right out and diagnosed my issues.
1. Tom called me right away and was able to get my car in the next day. Transportation was an issue, so he let me use a loaner car.2. I was impressed with the work around with a part that my dealership had posted incorrectly in their catalog. It would have cost 3x the amount and take longer to get due to being out of stock. Instead, Tom welded a cheaper part that was in stock to fit and works great!3. I put a used switch in for auto windows that worked only on passenger window. Tom, again was able to work with my old part & used part to create a quality working switch. Im thrilled that both windows are working now. Thanks so much for your ingenuity and quick repair to my car! Its running great. I will be calling on you for any other mechanical needs.
Tom the owner is fantastic. He heard my situation with my A/C unit and was willing to help. He was able to repair the A/C line in a timely matter and at a good price. We will be going back again with both our cars in the future.
I have complete trust in Tom & his crew. Ive taken all of my vehicles (weve owned as many as 6 at a time) to Boeser exclusively for many, many years and recommend them without hesitation. Very honest, very reasonable prices, and they stand behind their work.
I recently brought a vehicle here for an inspection to help decide if it was something I wanted to purchase. I worked with the owner and two other men, one of whom was new. All three were great to work with and helpful. They answered my questions about the Lexus and I ended up purchasing it. Thanks for all your help!
Boesser Automotive is the only place I’ll take my vehicles for serious repairs. They’re honest, fair, and get it done right. Just had a major front end repair and my truck is as good as new now! They may not be the cheapest but their service and quality is top notch. Tom is a great guy!
Great work, fair price.
Great place to go for my truck. They were prepared, timely, and called to let me know of other minor issues they found. Overall really happy with my experience at Boeser Automotive.
Honest, friendly and knowledgeable service. Also the most reasonable prices Ive ever seen in the automotive business. I strongly recommend that you give them a try.
Theyre good people and fair prices theyre fast and friendly
I have brought my car to Boeser Automotive twice now. Once for Back Brakes and most recently for a burnt out headlight. Tom and his staff got my car in promptly and fixed it. Tom has the best prices in the area and his work is beyond exceptional. I highly recommend Boeser Automotive for any repairs major or minor. We have already discussed him doing my front brakes as my next repair. If you need a great mechanic and any sort of repairs to your vehicle, take it to Boeser Automotive.
Amazing wonderful man. Very kind, sweet, educational and friendly. His presence alone reminds you of what an effective customer service is and can do for a person. My brakes went out, Tom inspected it and at the moment I was unsure where to go or do. Tom allowed my car to stay in his lot, with no extra charge to me and for that I am beyond and forever grateful. Thank you very much Tom! You are so very AMAZING! Please you guys go check him out, you wont regret it.
Honest, ethical and quality automotive repair.
170 miles from home, Saturday night truck parked in front of hotel, and it would not start...Had truck towed to Border Automotive based on AAA recommendation, worried all weekend what would be left of my truck when I got it back. Brought the family home with a rental and came Monday and the truck was fixed, noticed the secure storage area where towed vehicles get stored. Owner was very knowledgeable and courtious. First class work and very reasonable rates. Kind of makes me wish I lived closer. I am recommending this place to my family and friends for sure.
This place doesnt mess around! Repairs get done super quickly!
My wife took her vehicle in with what we thought may be a bad CV Joint. Turns out missing and loose lug nuts were the issue. Staff was attentive, efficient, and very nice. They got her taken care of quickly and she felt that they were “happy” to be able to help her out. We will continue to have them help us when we need it. We also plan to tell everyone we know in the area.
I had a great experience here today. Tom (the owner) was professional, friendly and super speedy! It was my first time at this shop, but from the initial call to leaving in my fixed up vehicle, I was made welcome and comfortable. Also very trustworthy, he doesnt rip you off, which is obviously huge. One more thing; When I arrived around noon, (there was no scheduled time, he had told me the previous day to stop in anytime after 8), he walked into the office through the back with what was clearly his lunch. He then saw me & rushed out. I told him that if he wanted to eat his lunch first, I had no problem waiting. He graciously declined. Asked him again on our way out if he wanted to eat before his food got cold, he said no thanks, I dont mind. :) Great customer service. 👍
Couldnt be happier! A truly knowledgeable staff and exceptional service. Thanks!
Good community experience. I love this place. They are very welcoming and their service is amazing ❤️
I was referred when my old mechanic closed shop. Brought my Lexus in, was impressed with the fair pricing and good service. I had no idea he was right in my backyard. Tom even drove me to work. He only suggest the repairs that are needed, does not try to over sell repairs that are not needed, which is really important when your a woman. He just put air in my tires and spare at no charge. Great customer service! A+++
Really impressed with the friendly, helpful staff. They got my car in right away and at a fair price. They figured out something that has been plaguing my car for years (and Id brought it to several places). Would recommend to my friends!
I just wanted to write a quick comment about the team at Boeser. My truck needed some TLC after hitting 140K + miles and Tom and Charlie at Boeser have been a huge help. They have been quick to diagnose any issues I have had, give me a accurate quote, work me into the schedule and help me understand what should be done next. The workmanship has been great and I am happy to have found a solid shop so close to home. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a full service mechanic and transmission shop. Thanks guys,
Are you a single female? In need of a TRUSTING mechanic? This is the place for you, I have had my share of problems and costs, work that was said I needed, or asked for a diagnostic check for ex amount, telling them do not do repairs unless I am called, Then was asked to pay for a repair I did not authorize. You will not find that here! What i love about Boeser Automotive, before a repair is done I am called for the approval, i am told what NEEDS to be taken care of now, and what I can wait on. Tom will tell you in detail the issue, in fact he drew out the issue just a day ago.Have young drivers, he will let them know how important it is to maintain the car, letting them know when you sense something wrong BRING it in right away, holding off can lead to big dollar repairs.I referred a friend, older car for a repair, he advised her the cost is to much and the car is not worth putting that kind of money in the car.How many mechanics will tell you this, will have you do a repair vs thinking about you and the cost and ways to space it out. This is a great practice that CUSTOMERS NEEDS AND COSTS FIRST vs his own personal finances. To often today a business is about there own profit vs the customers.
Had a repair at boeser costing $1100. The repair was not the problem. Never got a reason for fixing whatever boeser fixed and why. Went to another shop in Savage, $400 later and the car was as good as new.
We had a great experience! Our car was fixed quickly and affordably. The problem was explained clearly without any attempt to sell services. Small Town, family feel in the Twin Cities. We were so lucky to find this gem! Thanks Boesers!
Very honest company. Upfront pricing. I bring any of my family’s automotive needs here.
I have been taking my Toyota to Boeser Automotive for several years. They have always been very honest and fair with me. They are very knowledgeable and will give you a fair appraisal of what your vehicle needs. Dont hesitate to give this shop a chance. This day in age it is nice to find a mechanic garage that does almost everything and isnt trying to reach into your back pocket.
Highly recommend this team of mechanics and will definitely be bringing my vehicle back here for all my car repairs! I dont live close by, but it is worth the drive! Tom is very professional, easy to talk to, and explained things in a way that I could understand. He went above and beyond what I expected when the part needed for my vehicle was not available. He was very helpful in answering all of my questions thoroughly and explained all of my options and an estimate concerning maintenance that would need to be done to keep my vehicle running well and stay safe on the road in the coming winter months.
Great, honest, professional service. Ive had my vehicles in to Boeser a few times and theyve always done a great job. Very easy to work with, they dont sell unnecessary repairs and are very pragmatic in their approach to solving difficult issues...they know their stuff, and Im a tough customer! Tom has has happily taken the time to explain things completely every time.Locally owned and they have real mechanics, not kids!!
Was referred by a couple people to use this shop. Stopped in without appointment and they were able to look at my car right thenReassured Me my car was ok. Great guys and very helpful.
I used to take my 2004 Honda Pilot to the dealer for all service, but stopped after a routine oil change ended with a recommendation for a $2,000 repair. At Boeser Automotive, customers receive straightforward explanations of identified problems and options for addressing them. Tom will tell you if it can wait, and for how long so you can work the repair into your budget. He and his staff are honest, respectful and reliable. I highly recommend Boeser Automotive to anyone in need of a trustworthy mechanic!
I have been coming to see Tom and his crew for years! Honest and fair! Great company and wonderful people! I would not go anywhere else!
I highly recommend Boeser Automotive. Staff was courteous and helpful, especially Tom Boeser, who walked me through what they were going to do to fix the issues with my car. They were upfront and honest about the cost of repairs. Their rates are lower than many of their competitors and quality of work cant be beat.
Referred by a friend and now Ill be referring Boeser Auto to everyone I know! Finally found an honest and fair priced shop. Thanks again!!
Recommended by a friend and so glad he did! Tom and his team began working on our E350 V10 travel van the afternoon we dropped it off for misfiring and broken AC. Issues with the van were because of service work done while traveling out of state 10 months earlier. Tom was able to get the majority of the labor and parts covered by a warranty company. Very grateful. Will be having our van serviced at Boeser Automotive in the future along with recommending to my family and friends.
I brought my car into Boeser with a failing engine. They had the best prices, and service in the area! They are extremely honest, and fair to work with. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Overall, a great small business!
They always do what they say they are going to do and in a timely manner.
Boeser Automotive did a fantastic job fixing my 2005 Tahoe. Plus, they fixed it cheaper than any other shop had quoted me. They replaced my starter and front passenger oxygen sensor. Then gave my Tahoe a tune up, it was awesome that they let me bring in my own plugs and plug wires as I wanted higher performance ones. I have added quite a few performance parts on mine to bring it to 458 rwhp, which worried me when considering a shop to trust it with. I am not disappointed at all! They are the only shop that I will trust with any of my vehicles!
Highly recommend this shop. They are quick and do a great job! They let you know everything they are doing and upfront on everything. Great place to take your vehicle to get serviced.
I have been brining my cars to Tom Boeser for over 15 years. He has provided trusted service on all my vehicles - Dodge, Honda and Toyota. He works to help me lower my costs when repairs are needed and he always gives trustworthy advice on what I should and shouldnt do with respect to the age of my vehicles. I have recommended him to all of my friends and I recommend him to anyone reading these reviews. Thank you Tom for your service.
Have used Boeser automotive for many years. They have been reliable, fair and communicate your options to you in simple terms. Highly recommend Tom and his group for your auto repair services.
A couple years ago, I had a problem with my car on a Tuesday morning. This problem was not critical but it was a safety issue. Since this shop was so close to my work, I called. They said they couldnt get the part until later that week and couldnt look at my it until Thursday. I asked if they knew of another shop nearby who might be able to look at it since it was a safety issue, but they didnt.I called a shop near my house, and the owner was able to get the part within 3 hours and my car was safe to drive by that afternoon.EDIT: The owner called me and he was very concerned about my review and apologetic. After talking it over, I am more than happy to bring my new vehicle over to this shop the next time I have an issue.
Lets face it, when youre transmission or engine fails it is never good news. That said I will only take my car to Tom at Boeser Automotive. When my transmission went out the first shop I checked with would only replace it with a factory rebuild. Boeser took my transmission apart, found the failure and fixed it. Very honest, accurate with quotes and even provided me with a loner car.
Appreciate the quality work and quick turnaround. Much appreciated.
Professional customer service, certified repair, for a reasonable price
I work on cars myself a little bit but dont like doing it anymore. So when my starter went out on my truck in a January sub zero cold snap I started looking online for a nearby highly rated local mechanic. Im very particular as to where I take my vehicles for repairs if Im not doing the work myself and I can say Im very happy to have found Boeser Automotive and will be bringing all my future repairs to Tom and his staff.
I took my car here when it started overheating. They were professional and provided me a quote quickly the next day since I stopped in just before closing the night before. Since I had just bought the car from a (used) dealer not long before, I took it back to them for the repair instead because it was going to be costly. Cant comment on the repair service here but as I said, they were professional.Charlie is a super nice guy. The night I dropped the car off, he happens to live in the same city as me so he graciously drove me and my son home, saving me an Uber fare. Thanks, Charlie!
Contacted Tom apon getting recommended to his shop for a transmission rebuild, every thing seemed great until I went down to pick up my truck. My truck was only in his shop for two weeks, which should have been maybe a week at best. I had cash in hand ready to drive my truck home. Initially I was quoted at $2800 for the rebuild. I was told my balance due was $3500 and on top of the higher price they damaged my truck by running it into another vehicle and damaging both driver side doors. How the F do you hit a parked car in your lot on the drivers side of the vehicle your operating. He said he would repair the damages with his insurance. So then I proceeded to wait, a week goes by. I called and asked about my truck and was told by a mechanic he didn’t know what is going on with my truck and he would have Tom call me back. This happened every time I called. The only way I could get an answer was when I showed up in person. I ended up waiting 7 weeks to get my truck back. And to top everything off, I now have a truck with body filler in both driver doors and broken plastics on the panels. There was no real compensation for me ether he still wanted me to pay him more than what a dealership would have cost and I was out the use of my own vehicle for seven weeks. I would never recomend that shop to any one. Ever.
Im glad there is nothing wrong with my car. Some other place would just make something up so they can charge you more. I experienced this many times when I was living in Las Vegas
I bought my 2011 Nissan Versa on Craigslist. Little I know that it’d be any issue within couples of months of buying it. Luckily, I got it insured with CarShield a type of insurance for any major mechanical breakdowns. One day coming home from work was a nightmare due to the car not accelerating, somehow I made it to home and I got it towed to Boeser Automative’s. After so many headaches and setbacks by CarShield, with Tom’s eloquent knowledge about cars and technical terms when dealing with CarShield. Tom, helped me win big time with CarShield and installed a brand new transmission for my 2011, Nissan Versa.Boeser Automotive, is where I’d continue to take my car to. I highly recommend this place.
Small shop. Very friendly, but most of extremely thorough and do great work. Highly recommended.
Charged $3300 to rebuild transmission. Transmission issues again within the following 90 days. Sent back in to repair. Transmission issues again within year. Ended up having to get rid of the vehicle for huge loss.
Professional guys. Great customer service and work .will come back
Great people, quality service at reasonable prices.I highly recommend this place to anyone.
Literally the most honest person Ive ever worked with for car repairs. Always reliable and gets the job done as quickly as possible.
Let me preface my review with the fact that I have not had work done here yet. I called Tom last week to ask if he could diagnose the shaking problem in my daughters car. Discount Tire had the car 2X and could not fix it. Boeser did a full diagnostic and found 10 things that were wrong and some of them were serious issues that could doom the car at any moment. He took the time to show me all the issues, which made me confident that the items needed to be fixed. Since the car was old, I decided not fix any items and purchased another used car. The best part was that it was my daughters car and she was about to drive it to TN. I do not think the car would have made it.
Great fast friendly service, answered all my questions
Great service from Boeser. My parents take their cars here and I have been servicing my car here for 10+ years. An auto shop you can trust!
Helped get exactly what I need. Now my heat works in my car again. No more cold winter drives to work.
I had my a/c charged . after I paid him he said my high side valve was leaking. I ask why he did not replace it? he.... said and then danced around .. said it would be fine.. well a year later when again summer came . I took it to another shop and said the valve was leaking. Well.... they came back and said it was loose...and tightened it up of course I had to add the Freon to it and fifty buck I was good. So I called tom again he remember the car told me it was old and refused to acknowledge the fault.... I ask for half.... He said to much time has passed . well who uses a/c in the winter???.....good guy bad follow up.... I would not recommend him
Well Im going to jump on the five star bandwagon here but honestly they do deserve it great work very fair price thanks again.
My go to shop! Great service and friendly!
A couple weeks back I took my car into Boser Automotive. I had looked online at reviews thinking wow what a great sounding place. I submitted a ticket online the weekend prior saying there were multiple things wrong with my car. I was called Monday morning by the owner Tom, I was told he wouldnt charge me for a diagnostic fee & they can do everything on cars. I told him I didnt care if I got charged, but that I had many things wrong with the car that I wanted fixed.Tom convinced me to bring the car in that Monday afternoon. When dropping the car off I told Tom (owner) in person treat this car like its your grandmas car, if its broken fix it. I dont care if there is a diagnostic fee I just want it running good. I was provided a loaner vehicle. I further described the symptoms I was getting when driving, that the car wasnt running good, I was getting jerky sensations when driving. Other problems I knew about were valve cover gasket, a door actuator, AC/heating problem, glove box all needed to be looked at .It ended up taking a week to diagnose & repair things found wrong with my car. I was told that it was a mass airflow sensor, both CV boot/ axle joints as the reason my car wasnt running good. They also replaced a door actuator, intake sensor for the AC/Heating & replaced valve cover gasket/spark plugs. The bill was hard to swallow at $2250, I was thinking thank god my car was finally fixed. In addition there were items not fixed a glove box he had to order parts for & the upholstery they refused to fix & recommended 3rd party place that was very expensive.Driving it that evening the car shook violently to the point that when I was on the phone calling Tom, that he could not hear me until I stopped. I brought the car back in I was told that they had not thought of bearings as needing to be replaced. I was told the axles were to stiff creating vibrations in all gears. He said this was scary. I was then charged another 350 bucks to fix this new problem that was quoted & performed incorrectly by their shop & not test drove before handing it back to my family. 2 weeks later, the car is still not running good. The original symptoms are still not fixed.I took my car is back in their shop yesterday. When I went in to pick up the car, the owner Tom was out. I was told from the tech working on my car that the CV boots/axles that were ordered previously were the incorrect parts. So was the previous explanation given all made up? Regardless I was charged 2x for a problem they created! The tech that gave me my car back also said that he couldnt tell what model the car was when they ordered the parts because the stick shift had tape on it that he didnt bother to remove! Then he went on to say that the car now has an alignment problem. If they were putting in new axles shouldnt they also align them correctly? He continued saying the reason for the car to continue to perform bad is because they found an airflow hose that had to be replaced, to allow air intake. This now was going to cost an additional $150.I dont know if this most recent event was related, but I had suspicion that this was the mass airflow sensor being misdiagnosed.Lastly I have found out when the door actuator was replaced, that the passenger side door cant open from the inside. I have called Tom with my additional concerns & outstanding problems this morning & have yet to hear back after leaving a voicemail message. So far my experience has been subpar & cost a fortune. So much in fact that I have already paid more than the car is worth. It seems that when they diagnose a problem its not accurate & often times they overlook the actual cause. Once they fix the problematic item they often dont check to make sure its resolved. They have given my car back with unsafe conditions. On top of that charging multiple times for misdiagnosed mistakes. No apologies have been given, no refund for mistakes made. While at first Tom seemed to be running a decent shop, it appears that his shop is lacking integrity to make things right.
Honest, fair, competent mechanic. Others must agree because theyre busy!
This is the worst automotive shop.Tom the owner told me I needed a fuel pump in my dodge magnum. My main garage is bernies garage who has retired so his number is forword to this scam artist shop.first he didnt order the right pump that took 3 days to come.500 dollars later I drive the car 5 days and it shuts off.went back he said the car wasnt reading the pump.after another 3 days with the car he said he fixed the problem but noticed a cracked fuel line. Im not a mechanic but I lifted my back seat up and seen the pump and gas line why he couldnt tell it needed replacing the first time, thats one of the ways I knew he ripped the gas line himself replacing the pump.He replaced it with out me knowing and said that he had to replace it.381 dollars later he says by the way the car is going to smell like gas a couple of days come 2 find out they ripped the gas line themselves and charged me 4 it.I personally have a law suit out with this automotive shop. terrible service and I have contacted the BBB with my complaints and others.total of 840 dollar spent with him when Honest 1 automotive shop told me that that was a bad service job.by the way he cant keep mechanic that is why he keeps your car for 3 days and charges 100 an hr.WOW......
Awesome business, got my car running beautifully!
Ive been going here for years and I even bought a car that was fixed there. Great info given on what was fixed and why, with better prices than if you go to a chain repair place.
Honest, reliable, compairable in price, but most of all trustworthy.
Good work
I came in with a heat shield that had come loose (dont drive around in a wall cloud, kids) and Boeser Automotive had me back on the road in about 10 minutes at a very affordable price! Thank you!!!
Took my car to fleet farm and had l.front axle shaft replaced because I had a shake in the front end at 5-10 mph. Got my car back from fleet farm but still had the shake, so I went straight down to Boesers Auto and talked to Tom. Took it for a test ride and he said he could feel it too. So I scheduled it in and told him to change tranny fluid and filter. Had tranny rebuild by him at 54,000 miles and had 102,000 miles on it then, so I figure to get filter and fluid changed. He called me several days later saying there was metal shavings in tranny pan,, and that the fluid was dirty. Convinced me into having the tranny overhauled again, at a tune of $2950.00. Got car back and had some shifting problems, and he told me to put plugs, wires and clean my mass air sensor. So I did and everything seemed to be alright then. BUT a day or two later, I realized that the initial reason I brought the car to him, shake in front end, was never FIXED! Drove down and tried to discuss this with him and all I got was the run around and he blamed it on tires and whatever he could come up with. I had pads and rotors replaced, new struts, new Pirelli tires and 4 wheel alignment. Tried to work something out with him and still got the run around. He also seemed not very coherent when I was talking to him, so I told him I would be be next week.NEVER did go back and NEVER will. Im an ex mechanic and pretty much know a lot about my cars. Obviously Tom doesnt provide very good customer service like you would like an automotive shop to have! Save your time and find a MORE REPUTABLE SHOP to take your car to! I also deleted the survey web site for his shop by accident and sure wish I could pull that survey back up and comment on that survey too! AVOID THIS SHOP if at all possible!!!!!!! Plus he sent out a referral letter to recommend his shop. FAT CHANCE THATS GOING TO HAPPEN!,
Good, honest shop with fair pricing.
Felt it was highly priced for a routine service. Extra fee(s) include paying with a credit card.Thank you for responding.
$3000 for a complete transmission overhaul and 2 years later 33k the trans is blown.
Great service
