I was the last cut of the day before they closed, my haircut didnt even start until almost 5 so I was a little worried the stylist would rush through it just to get me out of there. I had the complete opposite experience with Katie. She was fantastic, took her time, asked lots of questions about my preferences and I got one of the best cuts ever. I havent had a preferred stylist at sports clips until today.

I was somewhat happy at first, though the lady forgot to put my hair in a top knot. I was very upset 2 hours later when my hair tie fell out and my braids that I spent good money on wereundone. Now I get to pay someone else to fix my hair. Very dissatisfied with the service. DONT GO HERE!

It was just as good if not better than any professional barber ive went to. I have received many complaints every day the last week about my cut and Im thrilled!! Highly recommend Lana. Price is still a little high. Haircut was sufficient. Stylist was friendly, but nothing wowed me. She didnt make strong recommendations for changing my hairstyle even though I clearly asked about and was open to options. She did warn about cutting a cow lick too short. It was ok, and theres no reason I wont go back (other than price).

Typical Sport Clips experience except that this location is separate from some other Twin Cities locations, meaning you have to re-register, provide haircut notes, etc. In general, Sport Clips is a fairly inexpensive option for those that like sports.

First visit to store. We had an hour and a half so when the wait time was estimated to be 48 minutes, figured it would be no problem as the time estimates have been accurate at other Sports Clips locations. Went to grab dinner since so much time. Came back 15 minutes later. While in waiting area received a text that hair cut would be within next 10 minutes (this was probably 40 minutes past the time we signed in initially.) Looked at screen - was at 6 min for wait time at that point. Wait time moved to on deck. 5 more minutes passed. Looked again and time had changed to 24 minutes. Went to ask why. Was told a stylist had chosen to take a break moving the haircut back. This placed cut well beyond (roughly 30 minutes past) the 48 minute estimate and outside of the window of tine we had available. What a waste of our time. It’s crazy that the system doesn’t allow stylists to pre-schedule their breaks to maintain accuracy in cut times. Woman who identified herself as “area manager” came across as very unapologetic. I understand staffing, I understand variances in estimates, but moving from “on deck” to more than 20 additional minutes past original estimate is unacceptable. Please fix your system to accurately account for breaks so as to provide full information prior to customers wasting time in your waiting area.

Its so hit and miss to get a good haircut I feel. I had someone butcher my hair because they didnt know how to do what I wanted (fauxhawk), and another gal had to take over and attempt to save my hair. Some of the attitudes Ive gotten were unnecessary as well. Again its hit and miss, but mostly miss from my experience. 🤷‍♂️

Life saver! My sons stylist, Brittany B, pointed out a odd looking mole on my sons hair at his last visit. A few months and several medical appointments later mason has had the mole removed as it was in fact cancerous. My wife and I are truly grateful for Brittanys attention to detail and her thoughtfulness in taking the time to notice and bring to my attention what turned out to be serious medical issue. I always get an excellent haircut regardless of which stylist cuts my hair. The stylists are always pleasant.I like the renovations to the salon. The self check-in is very handy and the checked process is easy to use.

Got charged for a MVP haircut, I only was given a basic one. The stylist never asked if I wanted one, nor explained herself at check out. Edit: to owner, I Did not receive the MVP treatment. I only got a haircut and nothing else. So I never received the upgrade you mentioned.

Ive been getting my hair cut here for almost 3 years. I dont have a particular stylist but every one that I get has done a great job. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. It can get busy at times but they put you on the list and tell you how long its going to be so you can come back when its your time. Coupons on the back of Cub Foods receipts can knock a few bucks of the bill to put back into tips. The MVP is worth it.

Sport Clips Haircuts of Cottage Grove is the only place I go for haircuts. They give you a great haircut at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this barbershop.

Omg. It was horrible experience. I brought my 13 year old son there.(should of listened to him not to go there. ). We usually goes to Roosters in Woodbury but theyre so booked couldnt get in for the week. So I thought because we needed a haircut for him asap because he plays basketball. The lady that cut his hair her name is Amy. Did a horrible job. I tried to tell her that its so uneven she almost tried to argued with me that oh his hair its different on this side because one of your ear is different than the other. So tried to explained to her that then you need to blend it so it looks like the other side. The more I tried to tell her that it doesnt look even the more she wanted to tell me that that just how his hair sits. Sorry got his haircut for the last 10years at Rooster in Woodbury and never had a problem. Our first time here. I will never come back or suggest to anyone to go here. Now my son is crying his eyeballs out. Got home looked at his hair in the back and its lopsided and choppy. NEVER EVER WILL WE BE BACK TO THIS PLACE.!!. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

Its Been a long time since Ive had a decent haircut and definitely One of the top Choices for men. Smells good and lightings not overpowering and great Staff and customer service Excellent. Watch a sports game in a relaxing environment and good conversation. Went to great clips and it was a 45 min wait. I went here and within id say 10 minutes I was sitting in a seat getting my cut. Im surprised that it wasnt crazy busy being that its so close to the busy store / restaurant Hyvee. Iast but not least My hair stylist Lana was great. Im making her my go to barber for now on. This may seem like im over indulging but, It was that good. Thanks!

This place was better than great clips for quite some time but now you have to be very choosy when youre picking your stylist or they will butcher your hair.

I will never be back to this location again I had been a few times before and didnt live the job that was done but about 3 weeks ago I needed to get my haircut I had grown it out very long and wanted to change styles to more of a pompadore and since I hadnt been in a year or so I thought I would go see what they thought. After a consultation I felt confident they could do what I wanted so I got my haircut and I liked it. The issue arose when it came to the length of the fade. I wanted it a bit longer but the stylist said that she believed it would be better a bit shorter since I was in a rush to get to work she said for me to try it out and style it for a while and if I felt it was a bit to long before my next appointment in a couple months that she would trim it down NO CHARGE!!!. No mention of any policies or stipulations. So over the next couple weeks I styled my hair for work and realized that she was indeed correct and the length was a problem. Now I was aware that it had been a bit longer then I thought it would take for me to find the right way to style the hair and figure out what works best but Ive never styled my hair before so to be sure that they were still able to trim my hair up I went in this morning to ask when they opemed. THIS IS WHEN THE ISSUE ARISES. I went in and I talked to the manager I believe her name was lana about the situation I stated that it had been at least a week and a half or more since I had been in and that my stylist said if I needed the fade trimed they would do it for free she told me to punch and it would be a half hour wait I asked to make sure it would be covered and she said you said it was about a week I said its been at the least a week and a half but that the stylist never said a set time period of when to come back in she said that would be fine have a seat. I waited for 45 minutes after opening before the manager asked if I was ready I said yes and as soon as I got up she stated your last haircut was the end of July and our policy is if its more than a week we have to charge you. I asked her how much she said that it would be the full price of a haircut.......... But you stated it wasnt going to cost me anything I exclaimed. Well thats our policy she stated again. I left because I said I wasnt ok with that but I went back in to ask why I was told by two people that it would be ok and not have to be charged but the second Im about to get in the chair I hear about a policy for the first time and that there are no signs or information anywhere stating otherwise. She then told me that was something to bring up to corporate and not her and she said that she only told me it would be no charge because I told her it was less than a week ago that I got my haircut which I never stated. She then implied I was lying and that theres nothing more they would do to help me. SO my issue doesnt lye with the policy or the amount of money for a trim ( which is rediculous you dont have some sort of upkeep price for situations like this but maybe thats the industry I do not claim to be an expert) my issue is with having to wait 45 minutes after bieng told twice that the visit would not require a purchase of a cut to then be blindsided with a previously unknown policy and then be called a liar and treated loads of disrespect and attitude. That is in no way an appropriate manner in which to conduct costumer service. I called the sports clips hotline to talk to corporate about the policy not bieng posted and the awful customer service I received and they informed me that it was a franchise store not corporate like I was informed by the manager so theres nothing that can be done to address the issue besides them sending an email to the owner who may or may not get back to me (I very much hope she/he does). So as of now they have lost a hoped to be regular loyal well tipping customer. To be clear the stylist did a good job and the bad haircuts I had before were from a long while ago its unfortunate management does not know how to work with customers.

At 9am the wait was already 45 min, I checked in and ran an errand, upon my return I was “on deck”, perfect timing right!....wrong, another customer walks in and the stylist checks him in and bumps me 15 min. She never even asked who was waiting. What’s the point of having a “line-up” and on line check in!! I complained and left.

Very disappointed with a stylist who made fun of my sons hair when we walked in for a hair cut. She made a mean comment about his hair and him really needing a hair cut. This was NOT what a self conscious teenage boy needed to hear.

Love this place but disappointed by their new hours. Closed at 6pm on Thursday and Friday? I just got home from work!
