I always had a wonderful experience going to the 26th Street Dental this is where you are greeted warmly with nice and friendly staff, and with my Hygienist Cindy who does a wonderful job.

26th Street Dental is 5 Star 21st Century dentistry. Prices are reasonable for the skilled expert care you will receive. Dr. Dunkling and Dr. Averill are experienced young professionals with up-to-date knowledge, latest technology. Cindy, my wonderful dental hygienist, is caring and thorough. The equipment is all new, even a slim mouth camera so the Doctor can show you on the monitor screen the problem with your tooth. You can see for yourself why you should have a procedure. Totally Awsome!!!

I just switched to 26th Street Dental and am beyond happy to have found them through a friend! The office is really nice, clean, the staff is friendly and attentive, and Dr. Angie Dunkling is simply amazing. She is personable, took her time, and the work she did was great. She did an implant crown, a couple of teeth bondings for sensitivity and a corrective cosmetic bonding on my front tooth. My old dentist retired and I was with an office that just wasn’t a match. This experience and dental work by far made me happy to have found a new office I can trust and feel good going to again.

Highly recommend 26th Street Dental! Had an amazing experience with Dr. Angie Averill. My ceramic filling cracked and Dr. Averill fixed it less than 30 minutes without pain or discomfort. She did a better job than my previous dentist. The office was remodeled, which looks super clean and feels brand new. The staffs were super friendly and one of them took my temperature when I walked into the office. I felt really safe going to dentist during the pandemic.

Great team of dentists! Dr. Angie is very knowledgeable and works from a holistic approach. I have had Invisalign, cleanings, x rays, and filling done. For the first time. Ha say I have a perfect smile. The front desk staff is very kind to work with too, especially Mercedes and Dylan.

Haven’t been out much since the quarantine and was a little nervous for this appointment. As soon as I got there, I called up to see if they ready for me. The 1st thing I saw was a totally remodeled office. It looked gorgeous - open, super clean and was greated warmly. Everyone there made me feel at ease. The practice of Dr. Averill and Dr. Dunkling is exceptional in every way.They do excellent work, giving detailed explanations, patiently answerall questions, it never feels rushed. Their hygienists, office staff and financial manager too are friendly and efficient in every way. The dentist my familyand I went to for 25 years retired and did a lot of research to find the mostqualified dentists to replace her and we are all so grateful for her choice.

Today I met Dr. Dunkling and her team. She was thorough and provided options for my procedure. I found her to be personable, caring and efficient. I will be going back for another procedure next week and feel confident that I’m in very capable hands!

I came to have a crown put on, but It was hard to pay attention once I landed on a TV channel with a black and white movie with David Lynch as a detective grilling a suspect who happened to be a monkey. I was just getting into it when Dr. Averill said he was done!

Dr. Averill is not only one of the best dentists I’ve ever encountered, he is also one of the nicest people. Not only does he keep my teeth healthy, but he has also always made room immediately in case of emergencies - which he then handled effortlessly. This could not be a lovelier office of people or better equipped to keep you smiling!

My recent teeth cleaning experience with 26th Dental was superb in every aspect. Arrival protocol, office preparation and doctor and staff demeanor all contributed to a sure sense of well being, in this my first real exposure since the pandemic began. In preparation before my appointment I was asked to fill out a questionnaire to confirm that I was asymptomatic and had not knowingly been exposed to the coronavirus.ARRIVALI notified the staff of my arrival by text after parking outside the building. The text was quickly acknowledged and no more than 5 minutes after that I received a text that they were ready for me to enter the office. The upbeat, caring, thoughtful demeanor of the staff and doctor Averill was just as it was before the pandemic, and I found that very reassuring.OFFICE PREPARATIONI observed that the offices had been wholly renovated giving them a fresh, pristine, impeccably sanitary appearance. I was kindly greeted from behind a plexiglass barrier and all staff wore masks. My temperature was taken with a contact free infrared thermometer.DURING THE PROCEDUREThe room for the procedure was notably uncluttered, very clean and sanitized. I noted, also, that the hygienist, Valerie, wore a mask and face shield until she was finished. She wiped down all surfaces and equipment soon after the procedure completed, which included many overdue X-rays, while I waited to see Dr. Averill.I very much appreciated that Dr. Averill took ample time to discuss my dental health and issues to be aware of going forward and he thoughtfully answered all my questions while offering different approaches for avoiding potential problems.LASTING IMPRESSIONImportant through all the experience was the attention to maintaining a well sanitized environment, a lack of haste and the reassuring professionalism of everyone. Dr. Lowe is great and I am sure that the other dentists are fine, but there have been a lot of problems scheduling appointments and with billing since they fired Dale who was part of the old staff. Hopefully, that is fixed now.

I’ve been with the previous practice for almost 30 years and the transition to the new practice has been seamless. The new dentists are caring and professional. I don’t see any reason to change.

Ive been going to 26th Street Dental for ages and I would never go anywhere else. Across the street from the Country Mart in Brentwood/Santa Monica, their office is lovely and the expertise and positivity of their entire team make seeing the dentist a joyful experience. Its easy to park in their lot only steps from the office and parking is FREE! How rare that is in Santa Monica and Brentwood.The team of Drs. Gordon Averill and Angie Dunkling are first-class. They both make you feel relaxed and comfortable and, in fact, I always feel like Im visiting my friends when I arrive. In the last month, I had three crowns done -- in one visit -- with Dr. Averill and some other work. He gave me the option of doing them on different days or all at once and I chose to get them all done at once. There was no pain at all. The numbing shots didnt even hurt. Dr. Gordon is kind and patient, answers any questions I have (and I ask a lot!), and is an expert in the application of his professional skills. Its also easy to see how much he enjoys his work and he wants everything to be perfect with his dental procedures and also with the patients comfort. He has a great sense of humor, too.During the procedures, they play music from a playlist that was so good that I was secretly hoping the procedure would last longer. Dr. Averill also telephoned me after the procedure to see how I was feeling and ask if I had any questions. Drs. Averill and Dunkling are the quintessential dentists and I feel blessed that they are in MY dentists.The entire team at 26th Street Dental is also the best. When you arrive, youre greeted by Jeanine, Polina and Asia who are always genuinely happy to see you as are both dentists. Veronica is also delightful and superb in her assistance with dental procedures and so is Nelly. And Julie is my dental hygienist whom Ive been going to for years and cleans my teeth better than anyone Ive ever gone to before. Jack and Rich made beautiful crowns. I also appreciate that they are always on time at this practice. Ive never had to wait for any of my appointments.Oh, and by the way, I spoke to one of their patients who actually comes over from England to have these dentists work on him. He told me that he would never go to anyone else either. And he lives 5,200 miles away. So the positive reputation of 26th Street Dental extends way beyond Los Angeles. Once you go to this dental practice, you wont want to go anywhere else either.
