I witnessed firsthand some of the abusive and unethical practices of this group, and have seen someone deal with the emotional and psychological fall-out for several years. Please be mindful of your mental health and wellbeing when interacting with this community as they may not always keep your best interests, medical health and free will in mind. While I appreciate the statement from witnesses on their website, as another direct witness, I can say this statement does not encompass the whole truth. You can view further experiences on mogadao.net to broaden your perspective if interested.
WARNING: This place badly hurt my friend. Check out mogadao.net for reviews by former and current students.
At first I came for the training, and stayed for the poetry. Now I come for the poetry and stay for the training.
I have studied with Zhenzan Dao off and on over the past four years. I have also studied with many of his certified teachers from the Moga Dao Institute. The Qi gong, internal alchemy and breath practice, meditation and sexuality Daoist training has improved my life dramatically. The seasonal forms, morning medical Qi Gong and the internal alchemy practices are beautiful, uplifting, and healing on a spiritual, physical and emotional level.I enjoy the warm community, the safety to explore yourself and the enthusiasm and support for the adventures of learning from Zhenzan Dao. I encourage anyone to try a few classes. No prior knowledge is needed at all about Daoism or Qi Gong. It was all brand new to me as a western trained physician, psychiatrist, and therapeutic yoga teacher.
I had no experience here because they had a class time listed on their site and the studio was empty. No show. And they have no phone number! What an inconsiderate waste of peoples time who aim to practice Daoist arts.
