Anahit altered my BHLDN gown about 2 years ago. She was fun to work with, affordable, fast, accommodating, and precise. She was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning! I highly recommend her!

I had an amazing experience with Anahit and am shocked at some of the negative reviews. Anahit was recommended to me by my sister. My appointments were always an hour and completely private. She gave me her opinion on under garments, veil, and earrings and was spot on with her advice. She is an amazing seamstress and reasonably priced and knows what she is doing. Highly recommend!!!! Also I should add my wedding got moved 5 times due to covid and she didn’t skip a beat and completely accommodated me.

Anahit is amazing! She did beautiful work on my gown and got it to fit me perfectly. She was attentive to detail and put all my worries at ease. As a bride without family close by, she made a video for me to share with my mother so that we could bustle the dress correctly on the day of my wedding. She was kind and professional. I would highly recommend her to any bride looking for alterations.

As a quarantine bride my whole wedding experience has been trying. Anahit was wonderful. My final 2 fittings were done after the re-opening. She cleaned everything between clients-door handles and all. She custom made lace straps for my dress that came out amazing. My dress fits like a glove! I would definitely recommend her-she will tell you like it is-but the work is worth it!!

Anahit is an ANGEL. She is incredibly gifted. Know in advance that she will be very direct with you and tell you what to do. She will also just start cutting. But PLEASE trust her. She knows exactly what she is doing. My best friend went to her and her dress came out so incredibly that I knew I needed to go to her too. And I am SO happy I did, because my dress fit me like a glove and she cared for every single bead and every single lace applique.

Anahit did an amazing job on my wedding dress last June. She is detail-oriented, hard-working and honest, which I appreciated. Her number one goal was to make me look and feel beautiful (and still comfortable) on my wedding day and she succeeded. I highly recommend her!

I would absolutely recommend Anahit for your bridal alterations. She successfully did the alterations on two dresses for my daughter. As a novice in the area of alterations we took all of her advice and my daughters wedding dress was amazing when the work was completed. Anahit also did an amazing job in explaining the bustle. Insisting that we record the bustle directions on our phone was the best advice. It is very apparent that she is an expert (along with the ladies who work with her) and we will forever thank her for making my daughters wedding special. The only reason for giving her 4 out of 5 stars, is because she does not use any technology at all. I would have loved a computerized estimate/bill.

There is no seamstress out there like Anahit. She tells it exactly like it is; pinpoints the issues in your dress and tells you exactly how she is going to fix them. I thought my gown was pretty much perfect and ready to wear when I brought it to Anahit, but those small alterations make so much difference and at my final fitting, the dress was just pure perfection. Over the many hours Ive spent in her shop both for my dress and for friends (which is how I had heard of her), Ive seen Anahit put out so many fires--brides coming in with dresses that they bought months ago that dont fit now, dresses with tears, dresses inherited from parents that are entirely the wrong cut and shape. Shes deftly managed to solve all those issues with her amazing eye and skilled craftsmanship. Whatever needs doing on your dress, big or small, Anahit is your girl.

Anahit did an amazing job altering my wedding dress! My wedding was in Armenia so I needed it packed, I took my carry on to my last fitting and she packed my dress for me so that it wouldnt get ruined! She is definitely extremely busy...but doesnt that say something about her work?

Anahit was incredible! I just recently was married in October and Anahit was my seamstress. You can tell she really loves and is very good at what she does. When I first met her in August, I had mentioned a couple of things I was thinking of changing on the dress. She suggested I didnt change them and leave them the way they were because she thought they were perfect as is. I am so glad I listened to her because I would have regretted the changes. Anahit only alters wedding gowns, so she knows exactly what shes taking about. She is looking at them all day everyday. Normally, I think most brides have three fittings, where they get to take their dress on the third visit, but I only needed two! On my second visit, I brought my two Maids of Honors with me, so they could learn how to bustle my gown - which was a big dress. Anahit took the time to run through every step and made sure they were recording the process, so they wouldnt forget on the day of. I highly recommend her to any bride needing gown alterations. You will not be disappointed. Anahit makes you feel beautiful and confident in your dress!!

I went into my wedding with zero knowledge of a good quality dress and no expectations. But then I read a couple reviews about how rude and brutally honest Anahit is, and I started to panic. I was incredibly anxious to deal with her, but hoped her perfectionism would pay off, and it did! She was not rude or unkind and was actually enjoyable to be around. My mother, cousin, and I all loved talking to her.Anahit let me know immediately that the belt I had chosen for my dress was actually much lower quality than the quality of my dress, which I genuinely appreciated. I purchased the belt as well as some sleeves and she would have been able to charge more to add them onto the dress. Instead of adding them, she told me very honestly that the dress speaks for itself and she told me she’d do what I want, but that she would hate to add anything of lesser quality to the dress. She gave lots of honest advice, which was very helpful, and by the end of my fittings, my dress fit me perfectly. It was truly made for my body and it turned out beautiful. I love the work that she did.

If you are a future bride, STAY AWAY!My encounter with Anahit was very bad and it left me very anxious and stressed about my wedding dress. She is very ill tempered and does not communicate well. I wanted to ask some questions before moving forward with my alterations which is normal for a bride. The questions I asked were pretty reasonable, I asked how much she estimates that the hem and the bustle will cost.She freaked out and started to scream at me. Saying that she is the best seamstress in the world with over 26 years of experience. She continued screaming saying people fly from all over just to see her and that if Im worried about estimates that I should go somewhere else. I was completely shocked, just listing to her lashing out on me for no apparent reason. As a future bride on a budget I need to know what to expect since I have heard people ending up paying Anahit $700+ for simple alterations. I have also heard that she can be a bit sneaky with the pricing and that she is not very transparent, which I can confirm after my encounter.I have to say that Im happy that she showed her true self before I committed to her.I know that Anahit has a lot of good reviews and Im not doubting her work. But I could not let someone so ill tempered with bad communications skills handle the most important dress I will ever wear.If you want your alteration process to run smooth and stress-free go somewhere else.

Words cannot describe the traumatic experience you will have if you go to Anahit. Your appointment slot will not be respected so you will wait two hours to be seen, you will only be seen for 20 minutes (not the hour you should be spending), and Anahit will not alter certain parts of the dress that need altering because she does not have the time. I needed the chest area tightened on my strapless dress and she refused. I had to bring my dress to another seamstress who was shocked that Anahit would not alter my dress appropriately.I also witnessed her throwing another brides dress on the floor after the bride was upset that Anahit hemmed WAY too much off the bottom of the dress.Wedding planning is stressful enough, you dont need the added stress that Anahit will inevitably bring upon you.

My Fiance went to Anahit for her dress alterations and had an awful experience, just like some of the other brides that have posted here.Anahit was unorganized, disheveled and rude. She is ill-tempered and easily offended, which is extremely unprofessional and a ridiculous way to treat customers.A lot of the reviews here say that her eccentricities are worth it because shes a good seamstress, but she completely butchered my Fiances dress 1 month before our wedding. This is now is now costing time and money to get another seamstress to correct her mistakes at a time that is already busy and stressful.Steer clear!

Amazing place and she does amazing work. My best friend had her wedding dress altered here and she just had a sixth sense of what you need. I wouldnt highly recommend coming here for alterations. I think you would be very happy.

I would not recommend Anahit even to my worst enemy. She is extremely rude and unprofessional. She rushes through her work because she has taken on more business than she can support. She will not give you quality work and she 100% cuts corners. Steer clear.

DONT GO TO ANAHIT! My regular seamstress would have done a far superior job than Anahit did. She lacks attention to detail, makes mistakes that you then need to pay for, and has an extremely rude demeanor.After my first fitting, I had to find another seamstress because of the issues Anahit caused. Trust me and the other reviewers and spare yourself the same experience.

I had a very similar experience to a lot of the negative posts on here. I wish I took these posts more seriously before going to Anahit. She has overcommitted herself and rushes through alterations.The hemline and bustle on my dress were done horribly wrong and I needed to go to another location to have these mistakes corrected. This has caused a lot of stress as well as cost me hundreds of dollars.To anyone reading this, please know that these reviews are here to share insight that people like myself did not have. I would HIGHLY recommend Julias Alterations in Northboro. They took me in with open arms and are true professionals.

Amazing work!! Tailoring quality was so beautiful that my dress fit incredibly comfortably. Anahit made me feel very welcomed and reduced all worries! She is an angel with needles!

Anahit is one of the absolute best in the industry. She is tough, yes, but she is an expert seamstress who has done countless alterations for my brides and bridesmaids, and she did the alterations for my own wedding dress. I wouldt trust anyone else with alterations for such important attire.

It is no surprise that like everyone here I was referred to Anahit by vows.1st visit: I had an appointment at 3pm but did not get seen until 4pm. I tried on my dress and immediately Anahit said my dress fit like a glove and that I wouldnt need to do much to my dress. She listed off all the things I wouldnt need to do making me feel like I had lucked out on my alterations. Next thing you know she begins cutting the hem of my dress before I could discuss the actual price of the alterations. I was so shocked that I was speechless. After she cut my dress I felt locked in to work with her. She then proceeded to discuss my dress and the bustle. Finally once I had the dress off and it was in her possession she hit me with the price. $540 for a dress she claimed fit me like a glove and needed very little work. I felt like I got punched in the stomach but figured what else could I do?!?2nd visit: My appointment was at 3pm but didnt get seen until 3:30pm. I quickly tried on my dress and it looked nice except I realized the bottom of my dress was wrinkled and the underarm/bust area needed some altering. She charged me another $25 for the additional alterations and then had the audacity to tell me that she does not iron the dresses. Who in the world performs alterations to then give you back a wrinkled dress? She saw my face and said dont worry Ill teach you. Final visit: arrived as a walk in and tried on my dress. Looked great and I asked my bridesmaid to practice working on my bustle. My bustle is hard and the whole time shes being rude and abrasive towards my bridesmaid who is only trying to get the hang of my dress so on the big day she can do it perfectly but instead of be encouraging Anahit comes off aggressive.Listen ladies regardless of her talent no bride should leave a bridal alteration shop feeling deflated, overwhelmed and or upset. Its just not worth it. Go somewhere else and find someone who is talented at their job and believes in exceptional customer service.

Abrasive, rude, money hungry, OVERWHELMED, overbooked.... she will tell you all of these wonderful things that she is going to do and gives you a price then at the next fitting do minimal work and want to charge you even more for the things that were already discussed. TOTAL RIP OFF - terrible customer service. It was very VERY clear that VOWS refers her because one of the managers is FAMILY. I am appalled at the service provided. If you like someone to degrade you and you have NO opinion and are a yes man then shes the one your looking for.

Mixed feelings about my alterations. Anahit pushes what she thinks will look best. I respected it and listened and I now have regret about how my dress looked on the big day. I wanted a low back and she was adamant against it because i would lose the detail. The detail was sheer and I didn’t care to lose it. Now I regret not doing it as in pictures it does not look right. Secondly she was adamant I get this specific Spanx brand please product for underneath my dress. Feeling hesitant I ordered it wheat despite not wanting to spend all the money. The day of my wedding I went to the bathroom and when I looked my spanx had completely ripped all over. It was a cheap material and looking at my photos and video- you can see the creases from the rips and it did nothing for my figure. I didn’t have anything altered except for the hem and the bustle and it still cost me nearly 700 dollars. She is overpriced, pushes what she thinks is best, and does not listen to the client. I wish I did not trust her “professional opinion.” As I look back at a dress I didn’t need spanx for and a dress that would’ve looked much better with my original vision.

My BFF got her wedding dress altered here and wow, is she a craftsperson. Completely professional and dedicated to making wedding dresses perfect!

Worst service and rude owner. Called to get s bridesmaid dress altered asking questions and they hung up on me saying we only do wedding dresses.

Worst customer service ever. Called for a quote and she yelled at me about her 26 years of experience and abruptly hung up. Can only imagine what she is like in person.Do not go here.
