Brand new John Deere 325G Compact Track Loader blew all hydraulic fluid out at 12 hours total time from improperly torqued fitting. It took AgPro over 2 weeks to line up somebody to pick it up for repair. I finally gave up and had James River Equipment do the warranty repair instead. James River came out and picked it up the day after I called them.Salesmen at AgPro was awesome until after the sale was complete. Since then, I Can’t get him to respond to texts or phone calls. I’m writing a scathing letter to John Deere corporate about my experience. I recommend shopping elsewhere if you’re looking for equipment.Update: 10/06/2021 After posting this review I got a call from the regional President of AgPro as well as the salesman. To their credit they were very apologetic about the service I received and were willing to make it right. I’m updating them to 3 stars and I’ll give them one more try when I get it serviced next time.
I am very disappointed in this company and the way they manage and operate. A week and a half ago on Monday Sept 27th, I took my tractor up to them. It just needed a starter and a service (oil change, filters). The newly hired female employee at the service counter told me it would be finished by Wednesday (two days later) but then guaranteed it would be done “no later than Friday (4 days later, Oct. 1st). So the service tech (Steve?, uncertain of his name) called me a day after I dropped it off and told me it just needed a starter and that would cost $300-$350 to have done and the oil service was between $200-$250, so between $500 and $600, so I verbally authorized them to perform the work. So, Wednesday passes, Thursday passes Friday evening gets here, no updates or calls, I call up there and spoke directly to the service tech working on it and the reason it’s not ready is because… they are waiting on parts they are replacing i.e the ignition assembly that they ordered. I never authorized that work or order and before I was really able to ask him about it, he was hurrying me off the phone telling me it will be done Monday (the 4th) “we’ll have you in top shape”. So whenever I didn’t get a call Monday or all day Tuesday (shocker), I called Tuesday evening and the same female employee told me the techs were gone and she had no info on finish date and couldn’t even give me a guesstimate on the checkout price! Let me make one thing very clear, I authorized the starter replacement and the oil and filter changes, NEVER did I authorize any other work to be done. All this being said, the female employee told me she was sorry she didn’t have the info and promised me a call back today (Wednesday Oct 6th)… I never got one call from anyone in the company. Now they are a week late, out of contact, and performing unauthorized work on my unit. I NEVER take this much time to leave a review but I wanted to make sure anyone contemplating taking your unit here is informed, make this place your last option… I’m not slamming them or being disrespectful to them personally, but I would be willing to pay for a mobile mechanic or anything else before I ever patronize this place again.Respectfully,David Templeton
Sorry SOB’s!!I called to ensure this sorry business had my belts, told them I was coming from Johnson city to purchase the belts and they sold them out from under me in tue three hours it took to drive here.Sorry, sorry, sorry!! Avoid this store!!!
Much nicer customer service than others in the area. They were very helpful in answering my questions, and getting me a replacement key for my John Deere. Even saved me some money by setting me up with a universal key that works instead of the John Deere that had a price tag of more than double the generic. Id definitely go back to this establishment for my future service needs regarding my John Deere mower.
Solved the problems with my John Deere! Got me back cutting grass very quickly. Ive had great service from AgPro!!
The guys done a great job on my John Deer, got me in and out fast.
Went there to buy a riding John Deere Mower and sales rep strictly ignored us for 20 mins. He seen me, my son and grandson waiting patiently while he was helping other customer. Apparently the customer he was helping didnt want to purchase a particular items at that time but the salesman was trying to sell him his item on credit. The customer told him he was just gonna wait. The sales man was persistent for 15 mins trying to get him to buy this item but finally gave up. Me and my sons are patiently waiting and he glanced at us and started talking to the customer about hunting knowing that we were sitting there waiting to talk to him. So I endured the 5 minutes of the hunting conversation and said thats it I told my son and my grandson lets go. Then I drove to Lowes and bought $3,000 worth of John Deere from them. People judge books by covers and end up losing out. That was my experience at crosscut power equipment. And I wont be back!
I am very pleased with my Ag Pro experience. Christian Mc Daniel was wonderful to work with. He made the process easy, smooth and stress free. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I love my new Zero turn mower.Amy Tipton
Christian did a great job. Kept up with returning calls/text. Made sure to keep me updated as I ordered a specialty combo as to when it arrived. Came in with no issues. Was very knowledgeable about how to operate the tractor and always willing answer my questions. I’ll be enjoying my first tractor for years to come thanks to him.
I wouldn’t recommend buying equipment from them. They sold me a new mower that didn’t even make it through cutting the yard the first time before it quit running. The shop people said to hurry and get it up there so they could fix it, but after getting it up the there they didn’t even look at it. I called a week after dropping it off and they still hadn’t looked at. The guy promised they would get it fixed but two weeks later it’s still not fixed. They say let me check on it and I will call you back but never call you back. I’m too the point I just want my money back to get a different brand from a dealer that gives a flip about their customers. It really bad I’m having to borrow a mower to cut my grass when I have a brand new mower.
I showed up at the Spartanburg AG-PRO late on a Friday and the still took the time to help me with buying my JD 1023E. The salesman also delivered it to my house at no additional cost. So far, I am very happy with the dealership and the equipment.
Evan Gar made my first time tractor purchase effortless. He was courteous and professional and his communication skills are second to none! Thanks Evan.
Great place to Buy a Deere!!!Christian is the man...Go on down and talk a deal with him,HE KNOWS HIS STUFF👍👍💯🇺🇲
Good to get what you need
Had the John Deere lawn tractor repaired. It went well, very satisfied with service done.
Great experience with buying new lawn tractor very knowledgeable and helpful
This was a one shot trip to this dealer. You enter and stand at the counter for service and everyone ignores you!! One person fumbling around invoices basically refuses to look up to acknowledge a customer. A tech literally turned his head away so he would not have to engage in conversation and walked around and away. I was actually in the mood to consider upgrading from my 1series to possibly a 3 or 4 series tractor today but now definitely somewhere else.
The staff is helpful and friendly, and the service guys are extremely knowledgeable and helpful!
Christian did awesome job selling us a 4044M tractor, he was very knowledgeable and most of all straight foreword. We drove almost 200 miles to make the purchase. Local John Deere dealers did not have time. Thanks again Christian McDaniel and the AGPRO family.
Steve in Spartanburg location has taken advantage of my 75 year old mother. She only needed a belt changed and over $400 later they dont have the parts they claim to replace. Shame on you!
Carried mower tire for repair on Friday the service person said they would call when finished it got around closing no call so I called and inquired about the wheel, and was told it would be sat about 12:30,sat still no call,I went to the store after 12:30 walked in the service office and my wheel was sitting on the counter, of they did not want to provide me with service they could have informed me,Im handicapped and struggled just to get there
No problem. I wasnt out there looking for a full minute and someone was ready to help me. Im coming back to purchase and its because of the great customer service.
Worked out good for me
Good customer service
The customer service is zero. These guys do nothing but put in time, transfer one call to the next, promise to call you back and do not, obviously someone that answers the phones does not talk to the general manager as he claims OR the general manager does not do his job. I dont think he even knows what a rotary mower is. My trucker was there at 7:00 AM, they open at 7:30. When I called him he said they said the mower you are picking up is missing a wheel and one is flat. This a rotary mower with hard no flat tires. Hello. My trucker wound up getting no service or help, used an old junker tractor on the lot and loaded himself...it kept shutting off etc....but at 9 he finally had himself loaded. We would have loaded and trucked that out of our yard in ten min NOT 2 HOURS!!! This dealership is an absolute fine example of people putting in time, wasting other peoples time, getting nothing done, and making other peoples lives miserable.
Best customer service I have seen in a long time! Christian McDaniel and his team are exceptionally knowledgeable of their products and made my buying experience seamless! My new John Deere 915E mower delivered beyond my expectations just as Christian said it would. Thank you so much for everything. Im definitely going to be purchasing more equipment from this group!! I highly recommend Ag Pro of Spartanburg SC.
We were finally ready to buy the sub-compact tractor we needed for our small farm and had been shopping around. Christian McDaniel gave us the best deal and fantastic customer service. He went above and beyond for us and it’s obvious he loves his job. We’ve gone back for more equipment since buying the tractor. This company will always be our first choice, even though it’s a 1.5 hour drive for us.
Very good service by Will like dealing with him the best. Bought a quicktrak 652r and 60”z930m
Just purchased a new zero turn this weekend, amazing service and I highly recommend anyone to go there and ask for Christian McDaniel! He will get you what you need and go out of his way to make sure youre satisfied! Thanks guys
Absolutely amazing customer service! Extremely honest, they will make sure you have everything you need and not try to up sell or scam you like we have experienced with other companies. They are extremely knowledgeable about their products and can help with any questions or concerns you may have. This company definitely deserves more than five starts.
Good customer service. See Christian Mcdaniel. Second mower I’ve bought from him and will be back when the time arises to get another. Wasn’t sure what I wanted and Christian spent time helping me decide. Very pleased with my purchase. Thanks
Good people, good to deal with.
Great experience! Christian McDaniel went above and beyond to help with my purchase on my Z915E mower. Highly recommend these guys.
Exploring the possibility of purchasing a new Kabota tractor, Al Wilson was very honest, knowledgeable, friendly, and straight forward with me. Being 62 years old, this is only the second review I have posted. The only obstacle between me and my new tractor now is my wonderful wife of 41 years!! This being said, I would highly recommend Wilson Equipment to anyone tractor shopping!
Salesperson was very knowledgeable and answered every question that I needed was nice place to visit
Great help and had what I needed.
Good place to get your John Deere parts. Its being remodeled and has a good selection of mowers and tractors.
Looking to get one star
It took me 3 months to get a warranty issue handled. Very unprofessiinal people. The only reason I got treated right in the end is that I threatened to call their district manager. 20k Gator and they didnt want to repair $400 window after bad install.
Poorest customer service I have encountered in a long time. Parts manager, Greg Meeks, was not only not helpful but had a terrible attitude. If, and that is a big if, I ever return to Ag Pro I will be certain to deal with one of the employees of the former Wilson Equipment. Have dealt with them for years and always had wonderful service.
The service here is poor. I do not suggest getting your equipment fixed here because it took nearly 2 months for my mower to be done with these people. I feel like he held my parts purposely, 2 months is RIDICULOUS! Maybe if I were his ethnicity he would of worked on it sooner. I paid just as much as the next man and I didn’t get the respected service in return.
Cant say enough good things about these folks. So glad to have them in our town. Go see them or give them a call if you need anything for your JD equipment!
My wife an I shopped around .... Taylors and Greenville John Deere an then I called Wilson’s an just by the conversation on the phone with them I knew where we would be buying from. When we pulling in Wilson’s the mechanic was out back an greeted us like we had known each other for ever. The whole staff was so professional an full of info an spent a good bit of time talking with us. We not only left there with our new X380 but we left there feeling like part of a new family. A BIG BIG thanks to Mr Christian
Great place to check out for your outdoor equipment they have added a lot of new items
I can’t believe the horrible service I was given on my mower. They kept my mower a whole month and didn’t even fix my hydraulic leak. I don’t recommend Wilson equipment since there’s a new parts manager. He’s not very friendly at all! The service here is just distasteful!!! Go to Greenville Kubota if you need work done. Wilson equipment will give you the run around and charge a lot of money!
Just cant understand why they always want to claim they cant get the mower you want.... Said the one my husband wanted always go to Home Depot and Lowes..... Really
Called for part on a John Deere 323D skid steer. A guy in parts had no clue as to what I was talking about. I offered to send him a picture of the location on the machine to give him a better understanding. His reply was, we don’t have any skid steer parts. I told him ok I’ll call someone else. His reply was, ok.So why do you sell skid steers If you don’t carry any parts? I got the part in Greenville an hour later.
I had been and continue hearing very bad feedback regarding Ag Pro - Spartanburg since they acquired Wilson Equipment last September. I stopped by several times over the past 9-months since the acquisition. The service department has noticeably declined, Ag Pros salesmen are inept and arrogant, and the parts department personnels moral has dropped from Wilson Equipment days. Another point is that this dealerships honesty is in question. Twice during late winter and spring Ag Pro tried to tell me that my well maintained Echo equipment, purchased from Wilson Equipment, could not be repaired or serviced, that they would sell me expensive replacement equipment, and that they would dispose of my old equipment for me. Twice I took that equipment (hedge trimmer & chain saw) to Cherokee Small Engine, east of Gaffney, SC (15-miles away). They sell Echo and Stihl. Cherokee has a very large selection of both Echo & Stihl equipment. Cherokee replaced the carburetor and serviced that Echo hedge trimmer for a very reasonable price. All the chain saw needed was a new chain. Cherokee sold and installed the new chain for $23 while I waited only 15-minutes. Both pieces of equipment continue running well. Cherokee Small Engines solution to repair both items was a total of around $85. Ag Pros solution was around $700. I have little doubt that my disposed old equipment would have been repaired, sold, and given to Ag Pro employees or friends. I did not believe Ag Pros dispose of the old equipment line. Additionally, Ag Pro and their arrogant sales personnel lost out on over $2,000 of Echo & Stihl equipment purchases so far this year as I made those new purchases from Cherokee Equipment. I also recommended neighbors and friends to avoid Ag Pro. I learned years ago in Grad School that it costs at least 10-times as much to gain a new customer as to retain an existing customer. I am not an exception as I have been hearing similar experiences from other long-time Wilson Equipment customers. Far too many are experiencing the same inept service plus arrogant and rude customer service from Ag Pro as me. I only give Ag Pro 1-star because the web-site requires at least 1-star. Zero stars is the appropriate rating. If you are looking for new Echo and/or Stihl equipment and/or honest reasonable service and repairs go to Cherokee Small Equipment near Gaffney or find another local Spartanburg dealer. I was a good Wilson Equipment customer for 30-years. It only took Ag Pro 6-months to drive me away. If you want honest sales & service, steer clear of Ag Pro - Spartanburg.
Very poor service, no one can answer a question, Techs were calling me asking questions. Gator wasnt fixed but I was still charged. I talked to the owner and all he cared about was taking your money. Go to Taylors
Parts/service department was helpful
Friendly customer service and it seemed like they had a good selection of eqiupment.
Best place for all your lawn and farming needs
Very helpful with what i needed
Friendly service, easy to work with, know their products and service what they sell.
I recently relocated to the Spartanburg area and purchased a property with more land. My existing equipment was undersized to take care of several acres of mowing and a large garden area I was creating, so I started to explore options. I found the sales staff at Wilson very friendly and accommodating. They led me through the process of defining what capabilities I wanted in a new machine and then guided me to the size machines they thought would best fit my needs.I looked at their product lines and decided to narrow my choices to the Kubota BX series. There were several visits back to the dealership, including one with my wife, we both test drove the model I was targeting. We then requested a quotation with the attachment options we wanted.Even though Wilson is the closest Kubota dealership to my home, that wasnt the reason we bought from them. I decided to get pricing from three dealerships for comparison and it was in April when there is a lot of customer traffic. At no time did I ever feel rushed during the sales process at Wilson. They were interested in helping me pick the right machine and welcomed me to stop by as often as I wanted to get questions answered. At the end, they us offered the right price and made us feel comfortable that they stood behind their products, They also had what appears to be a well stocked parts department and a capable service department. The BX model series was redesigned for 2017. After taking delivery of an early production unit we experienced a couple minor issues that were quickly resolved through the Service Department. Now, after running the unit for almost 130 hours, I am convinced I right sized the machine for my needs and bought the right attachments. I do plan to add more capabilities in the future as I continue to work the ground and expand the gardening activities.Life is not without challenges and I just developed a problem with the diesel engine over the weekend. I suspect this will be a warranty covered item. With having such low hours, very limited scheduled maintenance (break-in oil & filter change) has been required to this point. A call to the Service Shop Monday morning was met with a receptive voice on the other end, who is coordinating a schedule to pick the unit up and resolve my problem. At this point having my short 5 month experience with Wilson Equipment starting with the equipment purchase process, taking delivery of the machine, and resolving warranty service needs, I feel have been treated fairly and have been given the attention I expected.
Its not Wilson Equipment anymore!!!And not a Kubota dealer anymore.Wilson retired. And sold the Dealership. They only sale John Deere.
Stood around for 25 minutes wanting to 60 inch mower nowone came to help so I left hunting somewhere else
Terrible Customer Service! Need a new Deere after 34 years. Had to ask to be waited on....they were not busy....seemed not interested in selling. We will buy elsewhere.
Customer sales & service very unprofessional and poor. Night and day negative difference from the previous owners - Wilson Equipment.
All things John Deere.
Great sales and parts.
Wilson Equipment Company no longer exists. They sold the company to Ag- Pro.
Customer service was great.
Always great service!
