I recommend Jake highly if you’re looking for a barber in Santa Fe that can cut Black hair. I usually travel to Abq to get my sons’ fades and upkeep their cuts—or even just go back and forth to LA to our old barber shop. But after 7 years of mediocre haircuts in NM, I think we’ve finally found a barber and I am elated. My kid’s edges were crisp and perfect, tapered fade was excellent, and he was chill and professional. Five stars.

My son travels from Rio Rancho every 2 weeks for a haircut for the past 4 months he found a good barber in Gio. This last time was a complete disaster my son and his mom ran into a construction zone on Cerillos Road his appointment was at 11:30 and was going to get there at 11:45. Girl at front desk was very rude and told my son we can no longer see him 15 minutes is too late. He travels religiously to get a $50.00 haircut because he trusts Gio now he cancelled all of his appointments he does not want to go back again plus they ended up charging my card $40.00 for not showing up. Thanks evolution it was a back to school haircut which school starts tomorrow. I can see if it happened all time but just once you could have given my son a break.........

Great stylists, but they charged me more for haircuts every time I go in there. First it was 37 without tip then it was around 50 without tip fir the same thing the next time around ?? And then when I canceled because the upcharge they tried to charge me a no show charge 😒

Definitely knows what theyre doing and my hair stylist managed to get my hair to curl and stay curled all day.

The Disrespect that took place is unreal. Multiple confirmations I walked in at 315pm sat and waited 50 minutes for a 4pm haircut appointment to take my spot. What a joke. If I could give 0 or negative stars trust me I would. Waited 2 weeks for this appointment with Nate but a waste of time thank god I didnt waste my money.

It was a pleasure to have Melixa work on my short bob (a precision cut). She listens to your needs/wants and makes good suggestions. There are hair stylists out there that do an adequate job, those that try but dont quite get it right, and those that have the intuition and skill to exceed your expectations. Melixa is the latter type, explaining to you in advance what she plans to do and why and checking with you throughout the session. She is not only talented but she works hard to create a friendly and professional environment. Cuts from the other stylists looked good, too! Great quality and value, I wouldnt hesitate coming here!

I am relatively new to Santa Fe and with the pandemic and new town, Evolution Hair Design was recommended by my staff. I booked an appointment with Gio and have been back twice already. The place is clean, super professional and on time. Gio did an awesome job and he is now my go to!

There isnt any other Barbershop in New Mexico that I trust cutting my hair. The Barbers in here can do it all, from traditional haircuts, to designs and styling to charcoal masks and exfoliation. Like Ive said before, the relationship between you and your Barber is something that is sacred, and these Barbers honor that. Check em out if you want to look your best!

This is absolutely the best salon in Santa Fe hands down. I struggled for a year and a half to find a new salon once mine closed. And during that time I had plenty of bad haircuts and bad experiences. Then I found Evo. From the moment I walked in the atmosphere was warm and professional. The staff was very friendly and courteous. My haircut was the best that Ive had in years. If i could give ten stars I would. I wont trust my hair or any of my families to anyone else.

I like this place. Walk-ins not welcomed. Great customer service and great talent. You must go on their website and reserve an appointment date and time. If you miss one, they might charge you for it. You cancel within 8 hours. They may cancel on you without any remorse as well as ask if you can take a different time on the day of your appointment. Overall, the talent here is great!

In town visiting and was time for a trim. This place delivered no questions asked! Felicia did an amazing trim and shape up. Got some great tips on the city while I got my haircut. Trust Evolution for your next cut or shave if you’re in town. Must visit and a definite next time I’m in town!

My husband, 14 year old son, and 4 year old son all received great cuts here. The boys saw KC who was very patient with the squirming 4y.o. The hard to please teenager was super happy with his new style. My husband saw Melixa who gave him an updated version of his usual style that made his thinning hair look thicker and healthier. Overall it was a great experience for all 3.

If I had choice I would give this establishment - stars! Recently move to Santa Fe read the reviews and I decided to try this place. I walked in at 10:37 and I was ask if I had appointment and I said “no” - the young lady offered me that she had two 11 or 11:45. I chose 11 - i waited and then after 11:10 she told me the stylist was running 10 minutes late. I said, that’s ok I wait.. at 11:20 I can see the stylist was not going to be ready for me and she came to informed me she was running behind and it will be another 10 minutes, I said I was told that twice and I no longer believe them and decided to walked out!! First impression is always the most important, specially when you have business!!!

Very professional, clean, and very good vibes from the barbers. Only place in Santa free that sells hanz de fuko products. The haircuts Ive gotten from there have never let me down, both the beard and hair they make it look fresh. Ill recommend this to anyone who wants a place to get a good haircut and beard trim and get products to style your hair. Although its a bit expensive, products go for $30, beard and hair go for another $30, but its all worth it at the end.

My haircut was at 3:20 came in and waited for a bit while my barber sat on his phone. The other staff finally told him. I asked for a inch off and he took more than that off. Fade is uneven on both sides. Hairline is uneven. Back fade is uneven.

In my experience that I have been cutting my hair with Melixa Alemán for almost two years, I want to say that I am fascinated with her work, she is a professional and her colleagues are likewise, they are super friendly and very cheerful people, without discarding the receptionist Jaqui Lamb very cute and professional.
