KQED is very aggressive in donation drives compared to other public stations such as wnyc of New York City. Alternatively, stream from wnyc.org or kazu.org from Monterey.

I have a concern about Check, Please Bay Area and that is their detailing of Wines but Nothing on describing which Salmon, like all salmon is salmon! This industry deception needs a Champion, maybe PBS and KQED, to say,Ok, the menu as usual just says salmon. That will Not do! There is farmed and wild salmon. And there is No.Pacific salmon like wild Sockeye/Red and Coho/Silver and Chinook/King and the last 2, I would like to leave for the bears, Humpback/Pink and Chum/Dog salmon. There is salmon from East Russia and Europe! So why does Check, Please educate us on wine and liquor varieties but not salmon varieties? It would be a much more valuable show with more revelation and less food industry cover-up.And some countries are different and less just, less honest or more dictatorial and should suffer freer countries discussion and disapproval.

Interesting news radio, however, biased unfavorably against some countries while promoting another. Since most media organizations practice similar biased reporting, this isn’t unusual.
