One of the best brunch places in the South Bay. Holder’s Country Inn offers standard diner fare, as well as a big selection of alcoholic beverages including beer and mimosas. By far my favorite item on their menu is their Swedish Pancakes. I don’t usually get pancakes but I make an exception for these thin, almost crepe like pancakes. The staff is friendly and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Recommended.

Service is excellent! Waiter remembers us, talks about his day and takes our drink orders, all while keeping a steady flow and a happy demeanor. Honestly its like watching an art form. The food is always so good and filling. It is hands down my fav breakfast food spot, even tho I get their lunch menu a lot. They get super busy but right now they have out and indoor so they sit you really fast.

Bad food. Tastes like water. Bad customer service. The waiter didn’t even care that I didn’t like the food.

For cleanliness I will give a zero rating. Plates, mugs and cutlery were so dirty with dried up food on them. They had an eggy smell too.Food was below average with taste of low quality ingredients.Hopefully they work on these items and improve themselves.I really hope I don’t get food poisoning.Attaching an example of dried up food on their utensils.

Lots of space for outdoor dining with a tent and heaters. There was no wait when we went around noon-1pm on Valentines Day Sunday.Swedish pancakes are A+ and worth getting for any breakfast lover. Plenty of diner-esque options, although all the breakfast foods are the ones that sound the best, so I havent tried anything lunch or dinner related. Portions are rather large as well, so come hungry!

As a child I was brought here by my parents. Though the staffing and customer demographic has changed, the food has not! You will get a ton of food for the price and delicious Swedish pancakes.

Holders probably has the best staff in the business. They are kind, attentive, and always show interest in their patrons days. My parents are regulars and usually by the time theyve sat down are already being brought their regular drink orders. Cant reccomend enough.

Went here for brunch with a few friends and the food was great. Service was good. We shared the biscuits and gravy among our group and would recommend. The crepes were recommended by my friend, who’s been there before, and she did not disappoint in her recommendation.

It was a great experience. We had the nicest waitress and all the customers knew of her. She was the kindest waitresse. She made sure you were pleased with the food and went out of her way to please you. This at the one on Saratoga Sunnyvale rd. Didnt catch her name but she was older and so sweet. If the manger of this location reads this comment he/she needs to recognize her as the best cause she went above and beyond her job.. ty

The best breakfast diner Ive been to in quite a while. Some other reviews have compared Holders to Dennys and IHOP, but I wholeheartedly disagree. The food quality and level of service here were superb.I had the full stack of pancakes (3) and a side of hashbrowns covered in cheese. The hashbrowns were the perfect level of crunchiness and the pancakes were delicious! Our waitress was super attentive and ensured our drinks were filled and all needs met. Would absolutely recommend and plan to be back!

This Restaurant is clean, very nice attention from servers. Only problem is if you have 30 min for lunch I don’t Recommended TO COME HERE food took over 25 min to be ready and restaurant was 38% at full capacity.

Great place to go for reakfast, lunch, and dinner...because it serves BREAKFAST all day long! We like the country fried steak, egg florentine, egg benedict, swedish pancakes, and the free hot chocolate refills.

My experience here is limited to small group breakfast meetings of a professional society. Holders serves a reliably fine breakfast. Food is great, service efficient and fast.

Indoor dining is now available!!They have many tables taped so no one will be sitting next to another from a different party. So far only opens to party of 4 or less. If more then one will have to sit in outdoor covered dining area.Food is as good as before, servants all seemed to be very happy to see customers coming back.

Swedish pancakes make it! The brunch food is like normal brunch food - good but nothing out of the ordinary. But the Swedish pancakes are delicious raspberry? cream cheese on the side is great with it and it’s so unique and delicious. Would come again just for this side

I really like the Holder Restaurants, so I may be a little biased. The staff was really friendly, and the food is always really good.We ordered takeout, and I got the French Toast, with scrambled eggs and bacon, and they were great. I also got a Bloody Mary, and they gave me a whole piece of bacon, even though we were taking it to go. Amazing!

Better be hungry when you visit this restaurant because they do not skimp on portion sizes. I ordered the bacon and avocado omelet and I could barely eat half of the food. It came with hashbrowns, which I wish were a bit more crispy but, thats ok, and you can choose toast or pancakes. Everything was delicious and you definitely get your moneys worth. We will most definitely be back.

Quaint little eatery where I absolutely recommend you eat dessert first (The carrot cake was a huge generous slab of deliciousness!). Got the Steak Salad cause sometimes I want a bunch of veggies with a few little pieces of meat on top for balance. And this is how most steak salads are. This one, however, was a pretty basic salad with a decent balsamic dressing and A HUGE FREAKIN RARE STEAK slathered on top. Lord, it was so tender I could cry. I couldnt finish it a lunch and it made for a great midnight snack.No bathroom visit but everything there was tidy, the servers were super attentive and nice, and the parking was ample.

First time trying this place and it delivers. The scrambles were delicious. We ordered the meat lovers no mushrooms and the Santa Cruz add bacon two side of pancakes and the order comes with hash browns. You pay more than you would Dennys or I hop but only by a few bucks and tastes homemade. It doesnt leave you feeling bloated. For me one breakfast plate is two meals, but my husband tears it up and finishes it. We tried the other location and got the chorizo burrito was huge and absolutely delicious as well. It tasted like mine or my moms chorizo.

The Cobb salad was great. The menu seemed small. Not sure if I got the wrong menu or they eliminated dinner. The salad was fresh. Coffee was awesome. Waitress was friendly a nd talkative. All health precautions are in place. Ate outside under a tent.

Holders Country Inn is one of the best traditional coffee shops in the valley. Theyre legendary omelettes are more like a souffle than standard coffee shop fare, and the swedish pancakes are out of this world!I also appreciate the fact that ketchup at Holders is made from all natural ingredients -- no corn syrup or fructose.

Great spot on Dr Anza, service was fast and staff was nice, I can tell they specialize in breakfast as the sandwich wasnt too special but the omelette my SO got was stellar. Will visit again with a larger appetite too.

I love the omelettes here but the service is extremely hit or miss. Last time I was here we asked for maple syrup 6 times, as the waitress kept forgetting, she didnt bring out our toast until we were done with our meal, and didnt bring out my friends tortillas ever. Our waters and coffees werent refilled until we were leaving either, but this just seemed to be happening to us, as the people in front and behind got their syrup and refills. This isnt the first time Ive had bad service here but this time it was comically bad. I have never tipped below 15% other than 1 time in college, country inn broke the streak. It was THAT bad.

This breakfast was our first dining out experience since the Shelter in Place. All protective measures against Covid 19 appeared to be in place (we felt safe) and everything was very clean and well maintained around the outdoor eating area. The service and food were great. It was nice to finally go out for a meal! We will be back.

The customer service was fantastic! We went for brunch and my coffee cup was never empty. I would also recommend bottomless mimosas over regular mimosas if you intend to drink more than 1 glass. The price for 1 glass is $9 but the price for bottomless is $14.

Holders has been a favorite breakfast spot for so many years, and I cant even remember the first time we went there. We moved to East San Jose a few years ago and havent been able to visit, but when we had some time to kill today, we stopped by for a fix.The food is still as comforting as I remember - the Swedish pancakes are always perfect, their gravy is thick and full of sausage, and the servers are always so lovely. Today we were fortunate to have Peggy as our waitress, and I cannot praise her enough. She was so warm and welcoming to us - to everyone, and very attentive. People like Peggy make a good business great - I hope Holders realizes what a gem they have on their hands!

Ive been here twice. Both times the food was great. The first time service was amazing. The second time the waiter was a politely rude. Other than that its amazing. If it wasnt for the rudeness Id give this place five stars. Worth the money spent.
