This was our first experience with a travel trailer and it was perfect for our little family! Our kids (7, 5) thought the bunk beds were super fun and they loved that they had their own little area. They also really loved that there were movies for them to watch since we had some rain! Jesse was the perfect owner to work with! He was very accommodating and helpful, which made the experience that much better. We are looking forward to booking with him again, we highly recommend it!!

The RV was very nice clean and cozy! Its a pretty new Class C motorhome. It was fully stocked and drove great. We loved it and had a nice long weekend in it. As well, Charles and Brenda made the rental process so nice and easy. They are very kind! Charles is a veteran and so I feel very good knowing I rented and gave business to someone who sacrificed their life for me and our country!! I highly recommend renting this RV from Charles and Brenda. They have to be the most accommodating hosts Ive ever met!

We had a great experience renting a motor home from Ken & Chris. Our trip to Michigan enabled us to see colors and learn about camping. The inside is just as described with everything you might want to cook and live comfortably. Outside amenities include a Smoky Joe, chairs, a small table and campfire gear. It was an easy set up and we even dry camped two nights having filled up with water at the previous campground. Ken & Chris are great to work with to arrange a rental.

Here is my experience with Outdoorsy. They do not rent independently owned RVs. Eddie and Chris will scam you to your core. They will lie and cheat, to keep all deposits and go after insurance. They lead you on and take advantage of the kindness of humans. They will blame you for issues that are not your fault or in the contract. They are tricky, sneaky, and fraudulent. Expect 90 days of resolution, get a lawyer, and never use them or Outdoorsy. They operate under many umbrellas, so be careful. I would not recommend Workstream or Outdoorsy. Worst experience ever! RV was not as described, RV registration was expired, RV had operational issues, RV was abused well before these con-man tricked us.

We had an excellent experience from the beginning to the end. This was our family’s first time renting a trailer and Josh was responsive with all the questions we asked. I really appreciated the flexibility and communication he provided to ensure we had a pleasant experience. Pick up and drop off was stress free and the teardrop camper was easy to use, clean and comfy. We (me, hubby and 5 year old) slept really well on the memory foam mattress and the fan worked like a dream. We didn’t even need to use the A/c in August! Overall this was a 5 star experience and would recommend this trailer to anyone. Happy camping!

My family and I had the best experience with the RV. It was our first time traveling in a RV and Ryan made the experience smooth and enjoyable. He met us at the airport and explained everything about the RV and how to use it in great detail. He was always available for questions and would respond right away. The RV definitely lived up to the photos online, it is a newer model and it is very clean. The RV comes equipped with all tools and cutlery needed for cooking and dining. Upon requests Ryan provided towels and bedding for the beds. The outdoor lighting and speakers was a plus and a nice touch when hanging out at night at the campsites. We traveled to the big five parks over a week and we never ran into any problems with the RV. We felt very safe and comfortable at all times. There are a lot of cabinets and storage areas for your clothes and items. One of the main reasons I chose this RV was because of the bathroom, it is fully equipped with a functioning sink, toilet and shower and has a private separate bedroom with a pocket door. Overall we had an amazing experience with the RV that I will never forget. I highly recommend renting this RV and would do so again if we travel back to the St. George area and a big part of that was due to Ryans great customer service and friendly demeaner.

We were a party of 4 adults staying at the Bryce Horse and RV Park in Cannonville. David delivered and set up the RV and met us upon arrival. The RV is clean with all the necessities to make it a glamping experience. The RV well stocked with essentials and some extras. The a/c and heater both worked great. There was plenty of room for our personal stuff and food. Loved the two bathrooms and separate sleeping quarters. David then did the check out with ease. David was wonderful through the entire process of questions, booking, more questions, texts, flexibility, set up, check in, check out and take down.

First time using Outdoorsy app. Travel trailer was great, no issues with host -great host. Outdoorsy customer support was friendly and explained fee structure. The fees are a bit much and redundant because you have to pay outdoorsy then pay the owner fee…kinda expensive when you factor fees, deposits and more service fees, at the end of the day it feels like I paid way more in fees than in the actual rental… but great experience…. Maybe be more inclusive with fees to limit the amount of charges. I am not a fan of the fee structure so be prepared to charge way more on you credit card and hope you get most of it back when you return rental. Over all great experience, but fee structure needs revised!

I rented a very nice Class B van from a great guy on Outdoorsy. Everything went well, and I appreciated the opportunity to rent a small RV as part of my decision making process about what to buy next. That was all great, and the price the van owner charged seemed fair, but with fees,, and crazy high insurance, overall it was way too expensive. Recently had a family gathering in Colorado to attend, when out of the blue, the owner of the rental equipment decided to cancel my reservation at the last minute without informing me OR Outdoorsy. Obviously, this was the worst scenario one could ever envision, but Outdoorsy and their reps stepped up to make sure my families trip would not be hindered by this action. Outdoorsy, though not at fault for this situation, provided alternatives accommodations that I could choose from (actually upgraded RVs), handled the arrangements with the RV owner, and incurred the financial cost difference to boot. Outdoorsy turned a very bad day to one that was very uplifting for me and my entire family.I personal want to thank all their reps who handled this crisis on my behalf. Not only was the site easy to use, it included options that other sites do not, like if it is festival friendly, animal friendly, etc which came in handy since we were headed to a music festival for the weekend. Outdoorsy sent emails in preparation and even sent reminders when your trip was getting close, what you may need or things you may not think about, like taking before and after pictures to cover you in the case of damage being reported. I booked a two month trip for a high end Motorcoach via Outdoorsy. This review is for my opinion of Outdoorsy as a service and NOT the owner of the RV. The owner and the RV were fantastic. Booking through outdoorsy overall was not a pleasant experience. A couple points 1) most of the customer service reps I dealt with don’t understand RV insurance, math, or their own policies in detail. 2) Three times when trying to make the original booking the total charges they wanted me to pay were way off from what the owner was charging me. (Multiple thousand dollars) I had to show them the cost breakdown myself and explain how to add?!? Insane. 3) their booking fee is intentionally kept vague from a renters perspective. They want to charge on a percentage basis of the total cost which is criminal. I modified the original booking dates (extended) and to them that meant they should get paid hundreds of dollars. 4) they refused to add a driver to the insurance coverage because we tried to do it one day after the two month booking started. We were only told on the third call to them this was the issue. Other reps just said we needed to resubmit the license picture for approval.Overall it served our purposes and we got the RV we wanted but in the future I would definitely look to take Outdoorsy out of the picture when booking. I’m fine with paying for good service but not paying for poorly trained reps, inconsistent messaging, and price gouging. They took a huge fee from the owner too!9/9/2021: As requested I reached out to Outdoorsy providing them all my details.9/10/2021: Outdoorsy followed up on my details and said they looked through my records and history with their reps and would address the problems they agreed existed. Hopefully it will help others to have a good experience using their platform in the future.

The first person I rented from cancelled my camper week before my trip. Her name was Britany. You can not review this person unless you rent from them. So I was not able to give them bad review. I was lucky to find another rental at last minute but I paid a very high amount compared to rental companies that rent campers at assateague state park. You do not get the service and experience of a rental company from a private individual. Especially ones that are new at camping. The ad said fully stocked kitchen but no pots or pans. By the time outdoorsy adds all fees, very expensive. The owners were very nice and tried to be accommodating but had never dry camped so never had experience with the issues I had. I could not get water pump to work with battery fully charged or generator . Had other experienced campers look at it also. The owners said it worked for them when they got home after being plugged in for awhile so maybe battery issue. They said pots and pans used to be in camper and someone took them. Then check before renting that items are there. I am an experienced camper, have had a camper for 25 years .

Had a 1979 RV booked for 4 nights through Outdoorsy. Loving the idea of having an older RV, we went to pick it up from the owner Andrea. Up to this point everything is going well. Upon inspection of vehicle however we are immediately concerned with the condition of the RV as one of our group is a red seal mechanic. To name a few of the defects:Broken side mirrorBroken shifter, so you do not know if you are in park, neutral, reverse, etc.The vents dont work.Only the high beam headlights work. The speedometer does not work properly so you dont know how fast you are going. When Turning a very bad clunking noise is heard. The alternator belt was squealing so badly that kids on the side of the street where covering their ears when we drove it around the block and the belt noise would not go away even after the vehicle warmed up.We brought the RV back to the home and politely explained the defects to the owner. She told us that she had tried to book it into the shop to get the alternator belt tightened but could not get it in before our trip.We explained that there were too many things wrong with it and we did not feel safe driving it. She insisted that there was nothing wrong with it and after only a few minutes of conversation a man came out from her house and very angrily approached the vehicle. When we tried to explain what was going on he would not even let us talk and started yelling at us saying No refunds! There is nothing wrong with the vehicle and you better get the F**K out of here before I start swinging. He threatened us several times and while we were moving our equipment back to our vehicle he was yelling things like You guys are some ugly F***ers. Get the F**k out of here.We were supposed to leave for our trip the following morning and now had no transportation or accommodation and the entire trip was ruined. We couldnt even work something out with the owner about possibly getting some stuff fixed quickly and postponing the trip as we were in fear for our own safety and did not want to go anywhere near the house. We went and filed a police report and contacted Outdoorsy and they told us we had to talk to the owner to come up with a resolution on how much money if any we would be refunded. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life and Outdoorsy has been extremely unhelpful with the whole situation.

Long story short we sat on the side of a busy interstate for 7 hours with NO power, NO water waiting on roadside assistance that we paid for with the rental. The RV could not be fixed on the side of the road and ended up being towed (now 10 pm at night). We were totally stranded....3 hours from home, with children. Made our way to a hotel and had to pay for a room and then pay for a way back home the next day as the RV was at a repair shop for an indefinite amount of time.Throughout the entire process I called the owner as well as Outdoorsy. Neither had a plan or solution. We were totally stranded. Outdoorsy should have plans in place for this sort of event! This was no fault of my own and yet I had to fight for weeks to get a partial refund (Im still out of money for hotel room, rental car & campsite that I never made it to). The UI proved unbelievably challenging. The filters do not work at all as most RVs listed in the dates chosen were not available or within the price range. When I finally found an RV that was available and was within my price range, I went to book it. After messaging the RV owner to confirm, I did not hear back, and after 24 hours, the booking expired. Strange, but it happens I guess. I go back to the drawing board. I find another one that I like and try to book it. This time, after waiting several hours, the owner tells me this RV has been sold. Odd. Not sure why it would still be listed. I try again. 3rd time is the charm, right? After booking the 3rd one, I try to message her and tell her how excited I am to be able to rent her RV. Silence. 24 hours go by and the booking has expired. At this point, I am exhausted, but also starting to get desperate.Trying to navigate the many duplicate listing of RVs and the RVs that show available only to not be, I am left with mostly bad options. I see one that has mixed reviews, but red flags written all over it. The listing seems to be a possible bait and switch as the RV and owner are not what is presented on the site. Skeptical but desperate, I reach out to the owner hoping to see if perhaps the bad reviews were not justified. This is where things get messy.I get a response via text message from someone and they say that the RV is available. Still skeptical, I ask some follow up questions, I see that this women is actually quite friendly. Willing to overlook the bad reviews at this point I go ahead and book. All set, right? The next day the lady follows up saying I did not actually book. after some back and forth, I realize that this woman is not actually from the RV that I was looking at. Her RV wasnt even listed for me to see.I immediately call Outdoorsy support to see if they can sort this out. After several rounds of asking for the manager and being told canned answers of yes I understand but I will not help you, I am left with a supervisor who has no desire to help. I am now stuck with no remedy.Overall, the UI is very buggy with logical flaws, the listings seem mostly fake, and the service was non existent. I recommend you STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE from this site.

I wish I could say we had a good experience, but this company will absolutely fail you when things go awry. The majority of the fee you pay them is for “comprehensive insurance”. Well, we had a huge gust of wind suddenly whip across our camping site and it tore the awning fabric. No other damage. Just that. But to replace that material, according to the owner, is $900.Okay. “Hey Outdoorsy, here’s what happened.”From them:“We don’t cover that.”Us:“Why? You sold us comprehensive insurance that we paid $300 for.”It’s been weeks and we still can’t get a response. We gave the owner the cash because we wanted to support him, but Outdoorsy abandoned us both.Enjoy your rental, everyone, but know that this company will stick you with a bill the moment it is inconvenient for them. You are not, in fact, comprehensibly insured.Be wary of these people. Their policy literally states “coverage in case of wind storms” and they still made us pay.

I think that this is a great service for owners of RVs and people wanting to rent but the company behind the rentals is sorely lacking in customer service. I had a rental that turned out to be from a hostile owner. When I contacted Outdoorsy customer service (after 90 minutes on hold) I was promised all kinds of support. It never materialized and when the issue went to claims (a tree limb fell on the van) they totally dropped the ball. There are two claims departments (interior and exterior) and neither knows what the other is doing. I got caught in a cycle of no one responding. I repeatedly requested contact from a supervisor from both departments yet no one ever reached out to me. Before I could even see the repair estimate for the damage I was thrust into arbitration. This was a needless situation as I know there was damage and I just wanted to pay for it but that wasnt afforded to me. Even if you take the outdoorsy insurance it doesnt guarantee an easy outcome nor that you will be able to SPEAK to a live person who has any information. Prime example of a company that grew too fast without providing the necessary supports to their clientele. I have to really consider whether I would use Outdoorsy again due to their lack of customer service.

Outdoorsy just kept my entire security deposit of $1500 to pay to replace a previously broken, 10 year old fixture on an RV that the owner admitted to me had previously been broken and repaired. Now I pay for a new replacement. How convenient. Chance of renting from Outdoorsy again? On a scale of 1-10 I give it a -4. I have appealed the claim but the chance of that being successful is again -4.

Do NOT rent from Outdoorsy! They do not care about their renters whatsoever. My family planned a trip back in January. Because of COVID-19, we decided not to fly, and to rent an RV instead. So in May (2 months ago), I researched an RV, and rented one at the average price. Now, less than 2 weeks before my trip, the owner told me that the rate we agreed upon 2 months ago is wrong, and that his summer rate is $112 HIGHER, almost double the previous rate. Hes willing to cut me a deal and only raise it $62/night extra. This increases the cost of our trip by almost $1000! After 2 days of calling, emailing and live chatting Outdoorsy, I finally got a response. They say its within the owners right to do that. What? You cant change a price AFTER both parties agree and I pay my deposit. Now, less than 2 weeks before my trip, there are very few alternatives left to choose from, plus, Outdoorsy says I will lose all the money I paid already if I cancel. This is absolutely ridiculous. An airline cannot change the price of your tickets AFTER you buy your ticket. Please, save yourself the stress, anxiety and heartache, and avoid Outdoorsy!

The insurance part is even more of a gotcha than with rental cars, mandatory and with massive markup. It adds fully 50% to quoted prices. Regular commercial places end up being much cheaper.

Outdoorsy is like Uber/Lyft/AirBnb, you are dealing with owners of RVs that can be trustworthy or not, so remember that. The option to connect with them via this company is appreciated and the Damage Ins. seems pretty good if ever needed.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the reviewer that said they have horrible customer service. I think Id actually restate that to they have no customer service. It is virtually impossible to actually speak with anyone at the company. Great concept, terrible execution. Very sad......

Its a great idea. We made 2 reservations and the owners never responded. Since the reservation gets auto booked (paid) if accepted and held up for 2 days waiting for a response, I decided to start messaging owners to confirm availability before attempting more reservations and again no response from 5 owners.Outdoorsy needs to prompt owners to keep their listings and availability accurate and delete the ones that are bogus.

The trailer and the owner were fantastic but the fees were almost 35% of the rental what supposed to be $140 a night was actually almost $200. $60 a night for fees and taxes I could have rented a really nice house i would recommend renting an RV or camper just not from OUTDOORSY they take too much from the renter and the owner

The rental company I used to book an RV took my entire $1,000 deposit well after the allowed date in the contract and without any reason or proof of damages. Outdoorsy moved my claim from person to person for days and more than a week later I received no support. There is no way to call the claims department. There is zero customer support from Outdoorsy when you need it the most. However, they will give away your credit card information and let the companies charge it as they wish. Do not book with Outdoorsy, book with a company that believes that its users have rights and privacy of their credit card information.
