The staff answered all our questions and provided towels, laundry detergent, shampoo, etc. as requested. Great since we opted to skip the Covid-19 daily cleaning charge of >$100/day. Our ADA suite was spacious and well-equipped. The location was beyond excellent!Bonus Tip: A great selection of movie DVDs are available for free loan out to folks staying at the Wyndham from the Business Center.

I loved my time here! Ive stayed at a lot of places but the staff here was stellar. They were very attentive and helpful. The gave us great advice and guidance about the best areas to visit versus the areas to stay away from. I loved the fact that there was always an attendant at the door when we returned, saying Welcome Back. And our presidential suite was AMAZING!!!!

The staff was very nice and the rooms were clean. We could call any time we needed anything. Great stay. Would definitely come back again! It was also about a 5-7 minute walk to the BART and Chinatown.

I stayed at this property for 4 nights. I have never stayed at a property with a 1bd room deluxe with no kitchen or real refrigerator. The room was very small to be handicapped accessible. The only thing that was good about the place was the roll in shower. No parking lot. No daily itinerary for guests. I will never stay here again. No housekeeping or room cleaning offered. Staff was not accomodating. If you book here save your points definitely not worth it.

Clean and updated interior. Rooms are nice. Staff is friendly and accommodating. No kitchenette was a negative, especially staying for 4-5 days. Bed was smaller than other resorts. Overall, good experience.

Staying in the penthouse for a birthday weekend. The room is beautiful, the workers are great, and there is plenty of dining and convenience stores nearby. Max 10 min walk

It was great, very central. We had a 1 bedroom apartment. Very spacious,, clean and all the amenities were available. Staff was very friendly as well.

The staff that checks you in were great. The hotel is a good location to many sites. However having a meeting in the middle of a vacation is inconvenient. The arrangement of the meeting was done while on a excursion which was not acceptable.

Loved the place. It was right next to a great sushi spot and also a corner pub thst served bfast all day.

Easy to get to. Our rooms were fabulous - well decorated and amply supplied. Staff was attentive and helpful with every request. Only downside is parking is expensive.

The accommodations at the Wyndham Canterbury were marvelous. We stayed in the 2 bedroom Presidential. It was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. We had individual heating for each bedroom. The bathrooms were roomy with thick towels. Every alliance worked well. It truly had the feel and comfort of home.The staff were thoughtful and respectful. Our experience was delightful. Thank you Wyndham!

The Location is the only downfall being within a short walking distance of the Tenderloin District. If you have children, Walking the area with them may not be an idea to consider. Outside of that, this trip had to have been the best in terms of hospitality and accommodations that I have ever taken. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful without the sense of discomfort. Although all employees in the hospitality business are appreciative of tips offered, you feel welcome here without the sense that the staff was expecting anything in return for their hard work. I genuinely appreciate you all.

We stayed here for my birthday weekend, I picked it because it had a “spa” included. I was thinking day spa, definitely no spa. Biggest concern for me would be the cleaning, I went to shower and there was hair from the previous guest on the shower walls. That to me shows that detail cleaning is not their specialty. I let the front desk know that way they would let housekeeping know, they apologized. I did like that every time I walked in and out everyone was like “Welcome back” and “Enjoy your day”.

My wife had an acute medical attack and instead of supporting us, they quite literally evicted us because of liability. The building/facilities are nice. The leadership is deeply lacking and will forever color negatively my impression of the Wyndham brand. Its in a good location, but there are many other local options in this city. If you just want a place to stay, its okay. If you want to be in a safe place in the face of calamity, go someplace else. This is a building that is clearly most interested in its own liability, not the well being of its purported guests. If anyone from Wyndham rolled into my ER or ICU, I would take care of them, no questions asked. Clearly Wyndham isnt that kind of an organization.

Staff is friendly and helpful the rooms are clean and week appointed with nice comfortable furniture. What more could ask for?

I attempted to secure a room at this hotel through airbnb, listed by Yna. The listing was for $155 night. She said she would give me a discount off of $198. When I said this was a bait and switch, she then went on to call me crazy. She even told me that she was going to turn me into the FBI because she was an FBI informant. Not sure if you guys are being used in a scam or not, but this left a bad enough taste in my mouth that I will not be trying to find out.

The employees at the front counter are rude as all can be. I had horrible service and I felt as though I was being treated extremely poorly by all staff. The room was dirty, and upon needing assistance to leave I was left waiting and had to bring my luggage down all by myself. I will not be returning.

Besides this hotel being absolutely beautiful & pristine - the staff & location couldn’t have been better. Staff was very friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in, until we left. The location is super convenient if you want to be able to walk to any attractions or great restaurants/bars. Don’t know where you should go? Ask the staff! They were very helpful.

Windham is dirty and greedy. They suggested we scalp rooms to make money to pay for maintenance fees, among several other very dissatisfactory actions and claims. They chased us when we tried to leave an update after we gave our hour and then waited outside the bathroom to accost me again before I could leave. Really horrible company.

Loved our stay there for the New years! The hotel was clean, spacious and provided great amenities. The management provided finger food, bubbles and great decoration fur the celebrating. Our room had a separate bedroom and a pull out couch fur the kids. It looked like a RCI unit as it had everything we needed.

Absolutely beautiful it was very clean, bathrooms were very nice. Bed was comfortable. Amenities were good. Only thing there is no housekeeping. Housekeeping is only done if your their more than 4 days

Terrific value for the accommodations & location. Convenient to walk just about anywhere. The lemon, cucumber water and bottomless coffee in the lobby is a great touch. The room was immaculate and extremely well-appointed. And the furnishings were truly lovely. Highly recommend and will definitely book again on future visits.

Beautiful presidential 2 bedroom. Exquisite decor and fixtures. Cable very slow to load on server so just left TV on the whole time. Staff and concierge extremely friendly and courteous. Throughly enjoyed my six day stay!

Nice, well kept property. Bellmen are excellent. Stayed two different times in one week. Was recognized as a VIP the second stay, not the first. Requested and promised the same scent free room the second stay and did not get it. Otherwise, good experience.

The accommodations were first class. However, I was asked for a $20 deposit on what was supposed to be a free breakfast, for them to give me a sales pitch on a timeshare property. if somebody cant give you a $20 deposit back why would you want to spend thousands with them on timeshare.

So we went here for the free breakfast, which is the bait used when fishing for suckers. But lets not talk about that. The Canterbury is a beautiful old hotel. The lobby is all art decoish and done in marble. Some day Id like to explore it more.

Fantastic first class experience! Staff here are into going above and beyond in providing each visitor with a wonderful experience. The hotel has beautiful ambiance and is one of the historically maintained properties among the Club Wyndham chain.

Hotel is nice design wise and clean inside, but horrible location, and everything is too complicated. Different organizations are involved controlling different services like food, parking and cleaning? Parking is not Free!! 50$ per day. Super ghetto on the streets. Don’t walk around in the evening. Drunks fighting and bums sleeping everywhere. The whole process of this hotel is complicated with you getting a membership of something you might not use and you are just wasting money.

The hotel was very elegant. Staff always greet you outside to help you. They always have refreshing cool beverages, like lemonade, ice tea, fruit infused water, coffee, etc., waiting for you in the lobby. Very quiet and clean place. The design throughout the hotel and rooms were elegant, warm, very clean and inviting. We would come back for sure!!

Excellent service and a great experience

Stayed in room 405 Jan 17-21 2020. The room and hotel was very tastefully refurbished. Unfortunately, the heater in our room failed on each of the 4 nights we were there leaving us cold in the morning. The service personnel were super helpful getting it working each time but to have a handyman in our room for 20 minutes each day was not ideal. I didn’t get much from the front counter staff other than extended apologies. I would have thought after so much trouble, they would be forthcoming with some compensation - none of this eventuated. Extremely disappointed with our stay.

Love the Canterbury.. My Stay was from 8/27/17-8/30/17. Greeted with a refreshing Cold Drink. From the Bellmen to the Concierge Staff, they were all great. My room was beautiful. I am VIP OWNER. However, housekeeping could be better. I had found short and long hairs underneath the covers, popcorn on the bedroom floor, and a opened bar of soap in the shower.I was in room 404, so not much of view..The windows were facing a residential building.I will definitely stay there again.

Best experience in San Francisco stays! Property is very well maintained and very comfortable. Great location short walk to Union Square, the Theater district, China town and North Beachs Little Italy. Staff are always friendly, courteous, and very helpful. We have made this our get away location for years and have enjoyed it more each visit.

Great location, beautiful apartments and friendly service. Even free washing machines! The only downside is they try to sell you timeshare, but don’t seem to know much about what they are offering. Would definitely stay again.

The Canterbury lobby was under construction when I came last year. Renovations looks amazing! Stayed in room 712 and it was perfect. 4 stars because an employee tossed a paper cup in the street right in front of the hotel, and right in front of me. Despite the considerable litter on the streets of San Francisco, theres no excuse for adding to it. I expect better from the Wyndham.

For the price that you spend for this hotel, youd think that they would offer a continental breakfast, a donut or something. Not at this Wyndham. Those that are able to receive a continental breakfast are those that are going to the seminar to buy into ownership. I thought that there would be a washing facility in our room as there was when we stayed at another Whyndam.

This is the best Wyndham Ive visited thus far. The staff was friendly and the room was gorgeous. I felt like I was somewhere in Italy. Its very unique. I had a great time and look forward to returning.

This is a timeshare. I am an owner with Wyndham. Still, later check-in, earlier check-out than all other hotels by a couple hours. They have purchased other companies and original owners have been shafted to a degree. The overall quality has declined as they moved their best, mostly, to newer properties. I was known by name by a lot of folks there for years. Now, its changed and maybe a couple remain. The valet drivers change seats and mirrors. Its infuriating. Should be one of the top things preached to the drivers. We drive the cars all the time, find the right seat setting, then they drive for a couple minutes and change it all. Very frustrating, I sit straight up, then when I sit in and flop back in a seat leaned way back, Im so mad. There are 5 star employees and a few 5 star rooms(all tend to be clean and taken care of) but overall 4 may be plenty generous.

This hotel is beautiful with modern-chic decor. The staff is excellent. When you walk in you are greeted with the choice of fresh coffee, hot apple cider, tea, or yummy hot chocolate, and it’s there 24/7! The rooms are big and all furnishings are high class. If I had to say one bad thing it would be that the valet was a little slow...we waited up to half an hour sometimes. Overall I will definitely stay at this property again!

We just finished up a week stay there in a 1 bedroom suite. The staff and resort was great. The location is awesome as well. Its right in the middle of everything. You can walk just about anywhere, as long as youre in shape for lots of hills. No complaints at all.

We stayed here as a guest of my parents timeshare on our honeymoon and were extremely grateful as it was an incredible stay! We loved the facility, putting it one of our top places to stay. We were given a beautiful room with a breathtaking view of the city. The Canterbury light was outside of our window and added to a serene feeling during the nights. It is not bothersome at all, but there is a blind for those that may have that fear. The room was in an immaculate condition and the staff tended to our every needs. Plus the location was perfect for us to walk around nearby things in this district (and there were a lot) and Uber to everything else around. We love San Francisco and we also love the Canterbury now as well. Thanks! 🙌

This place is amazing once you walk inside. Very bright and classy. Customer service is spectacular when you walk in. They greet you in and out of the door. The room we have is very classy yet hold its old fashion feel.

Staff is very nice and accommodating. The rooms are very nice and clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. The location is close to a lot of midtown activities. Parking is valet only and the cost is on par with the area with unlimited in and out. There is self service laundry available on site.

Perfect location a lot of things are in walking distance. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Concierge gave us useful tips right after check in. Valet parking worked perfectly. Rooms were as promised and as shown on the pictures, they were very clean and had all the things we needed, stove is not in there, but a microwave and even a blender.

Price was good. Room was nice. Location was nice. This would be a 5 star review if it wasnt for the VERY pushy timeshare sales pitch. It didnt end when I said I wasnt interested the first day. They called the room multiple times over my 3 day stay.

Very polite staff, looks much nicer on the inside. We stayed in a one bedroom deluxe unit. At this resort, one bedroom deluxe means partial kitchen and 3/4 bath but thats San Francisco for you. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable.

Did not lodge here. Was here for a time share presentation. Folks were friendly. Food was surprisingly good. I hate these things but this one was nice and easy! Hotel looked beautiful too ... Loved the pool table!

We love this timeshare in San Francisco. Note, this is not a hotel. It has no pool. The 2-bedroom suite we got was clean and updated. Better than the suite we got in Midtown, New York. Would definitely stay here again next time I am in San Francisco.

Nice place to visit a resort that catering to you

This is basically a time share that rents their excess as hotel rooms. The smallest suite is a one-bedroom w/a kitchenette (small fridge, microwave, sink, dishwasher, coffeemaker, and toaster. They will even bring an electric frying pan if you ask, but with so much delicious food in the area, all thats needed is the fridge and microwave for leftovers.) The bed is comfortable, but we have found that the sofa bed is a crapshoot...some good, some not. There is a well equipped work out room, a media center with a couple of computers and a large screen television. This place offers everything I need and the location cant be beaten. This is our go to place in San Francisco. I highly recommend it.

Very convenient location. Close to Union Square, bus lines and cable cars. Plenty of night life on the streets due to an art college on Sutter Street so walking around at any time of the day is very safe. Four blocks ( mostly uphill) to China Town. An easy walk.

This place is great in our top 5 of all Wyndham resorts. The staff is well trained and very customer service oriented. The rooms are all well kept. Great location right in the heart of downtown.

Stayed in 101 two bedroom suite. Super cute. 7am trash collection every morning knocked it down a star.

I have stayed at Wyndham hotels before. I had my honeymoon in a Wyndham resort in Kauai. I have worked as a tour guide and been in contact with Wyndham about our San Francisco tours with various companies. I have even given a private tour to the vice presidents family of Wyndham. My recent experience was as a pedestrian coming in to use a toilet that I knew was there because of my experience of being a tour guide. The security guard came in and shouted at me because I was not a guest at the hotel. I told him that I was a Tour Guide and got business for the hotel. He was very rude. He treated me as if I were a homeless person or vagrant that was walking in off the street. If you would not like the public to use your toilet please display a sign. If you would not like someone to use your restroom, when they leave, politely say please do not do this again. Please do not open the door so abruptly and shout. That is all I have to say about my recent experience at the Wyndham hotel.

Very nice place to stay. Was given the room as a gift from a friend so don’t know exact cost but it seem pricey. But then again everything in San Fran is pricey.Upside: People were very friendly and took care of all of our needs. We were in the single room and it was very nice with a lot of space. Had everything we need but does not come with a stove.People at the concierge desk were great and very helpful on what to do while exploring the city and surrounding areas. They have discounts and such for food and events so be sure to check with them.Downside: The lobby is very noisy at time and the recreation areas can be noisy as well. If you do the timeshare program then be prepared to be there for 2 1/2 hrs. It is a timeshare program so be prepared to be sold.

A nice enough vacation rental~its not a hotel, as I learned upon checking in. The lady at the front desk was pleasant as she explained this, adding that since it was a vacation rental there would be no housekeeping, there was no room service, etc. My boyfriend and I were then directed to another desk which handed us a list of restaurant suggestions and maps~then began the time share hustle. 9pm at night and we were being hustled to attend a brunch about time shares the following morning! 🙄We finally got to our room and it was pleasant enough, but the following morning the phone rang and it was the time share desk asking if we were interested in attending the brunch again.

Truly loved my room! So worth it! The decor was delightful! The studio equipped for a wonderful #Staycation! And the location is perfect for many outings within walking distance.
