Love all the ladies there. Very nice and friendly.Helen and Cindy are my favorites. Both are great at what they do.
Worst manicure I’ve gotten in SF. There are so many places you can go, do not waste your time or money here. Had to change my nail color to something neutral because it was unacceptable to walk out like that.
Helen is amazing! I come here for mani and pedis and it is the best, highly recommend!
I’ve only ever gotten gel manicures but here I exclusively come here and absolutely love it. If you want a luxurious spa, don’t come. If you want a good manicure for a great price and the absolute friendliest service, then this is the best place in the Marina.
Fast service but definitely over quality. I left my gel mani with Mis-shapen nails, uneven polish, and scraggly edges. Not worth the $35.
I usually get a gel pedi and a regular manicure. My gel stays on forever, to the point that I go back in just because Im tired of the color. I usually go in with a few friends and the staff is very accommodating to our larger group.
They did a really unprofessional and hurting manicure. They veiled to hard and cut in finger. If you ask them or give them feedback, theyll say your difficult. Never been to such an unprofessional place.
Had a manicure here, will never go back!Asked for manicure and was asked many times to do a mani pedicure... after declining 5 times I finally got my manicure.Tools were not cleaned, polish was old and the brush really bad, which ended by a sloppy job and the owner was not pleasant at all when I mentioned that I was not happy.I got home and removed the nail polish!
Terrible gel manicure. Pedicure was not thorough and messy finish. I don’t think they change out the plastic foot bath covers in between guests.
Unfortunately Very unfriendly and unproffesional. It was painfull and i had to tell 5 times that What they did was not good. The result is not Nice, the gellack is not smooth en they miss placed on the nails, When i told the woman i was not happy, she said that i may not complain about it because it was Nice. I had no trust that she can do it better. They are just not proffesional. I doubt if the hygiëne is ok? Over all i would never go back again.
Excellent and complete service with a choice of types of pedicures. Helen Dao, the owner/manager is an excellent beautician. She is an expert in hair cutting and coloring and manages her business with skill and attention to customer needs.
Short summary: This place will try to scam and deceive you. Go somewhere else and pay more for honesty and transparency.Long summary: My friend needed to get her eyebrows waxed, so I went with her to keep her company at this salon. While she was getting the procedure done I asked if they cut hair, and how much a trim would cost on my hair. She told me $18, so I asked if I could get a haircut. The stylist seemed really nice, and we were all talking and bonding. She did a great job with my friends eyebrows, so I figured she could give me a decent trim. She sat me in the barber chair, and then asked if I wanted my hair washed. I thought that was peculiar, because EVERY hair salon has wet my hair before cutting it. I asked her, Do you need to wash it to be able to cut it? to which she told me, Yes. I agreed to the procedure, so she washed my hair and then cut it. We continued talking and sharing our life experiences, and as we were talking she went on to dry it (which I never asked her to do, but I assumed that because she didnt ask it was an included service). While I was getting a haircut my friend got a 10 min shoulder massage, and the other lady who gave her the massage kept accidentally forgetting that it was only 10 minutes. She kept asking, so youre getting a 20 minute massage, right? and my friend repeatedly told her, No, a TEN minute massage. We both think that the lady was trying to see if she could accidentally massage my friend for a longer period of time to get more money.Throughout the haircut and massage both ladies kept trying to get my friend and me to get other procedures done (nails, foot massages, etc.), which we declined. They said it nicely, but were too pushy about it.Afterwards, as my friend and I were about to leave, she told me the final cost: $45. $45? Thats MORE than twice what she had previously told me! She then pointed to a chart, which I hadnt seen before, which stated that a haircut was $18, but a haircut and a wash was $35+. My friend and I objected and pointed out that 1. I had asked her how much it would cost and she told me a certain price, and continued to do services without informing me about the additional price, 2. she had told me she NEEDED to wash my hair to cut it, so why would it be an additional charge?, and 3. she had dried my hair without stopping to ask if I wanted it dried. She then became insulted and told us that she spent all this time on my hair, and that she works hard. That was NOT the issue! She told us that her manager would get upset if she wasnt paid the full amount, but when asked if we could call or e-mail the manager to explain the situation she told us she didnt have a phone number or an e-mail to contact them. Also, the manager was mysteriously on vacation at that very moment..... but then later she told us to come the next morning to talk to him/her.After talking about the length of time I wasted she then got agitated and told me to come back to the sink so she could wet my hair and make me leave without it being blow dried. What?? She just spent all that time on my hair and was complaining about me using up her time, and she wanted to spend time making it wet again? What purpose would that serve??Then she told us that she could call the police to resolve the matter, which we thought was ridiculous because we had been talking to her calmly throughout the argument. Also, what would the police even do over such a matter? In the end we got it down to $35 because she claimed she would give us a discount, but we were shocked by the way she communicated (or didnt communicate) with us and by the blatant scheming of the workers at this salon.Overall, the experience felt very shady and it was clear that the two ladies who assisted us were trying to make money in a sneaky way. I dont mind paying more for good service, but I do mind paying more when I feel like Im being cheated.
Have been with Finishing Touch for over a decade. Helen the proprietor is excellent with mani, pedis! She also has a station to style and cut your hair. I also have high regards for Cindy who does a wonderful mani or pedi.Staff is friendy and meticulous about pleasing their customers.
These people are DISHONEST. They will try to sneak in extra services without informing you of their intent, and try to charge you for it afterwards. I will never again patronize a business with such a lack of integrity. They try to swindle their customers. STAY AWAY.
The best!
Great service and welcoming to customers .
Asked for a blow dry left with frizzy hair. Not professional.
