Really spacious, very nice gym. I paid $30 for a day pass when I was visiting and it was a nice experience. Open floor plan with several exercise rooms, I think most members mainly do the classes here. I went on a Thursday at 5pm and it was not crowded at all which was nice. Not a ton of weight stuff there (plenty of dumb and kettlebells) and about 6 treadmills but really all you need. Locker rooms were pretty nice although you need your own lock and they were a little stuffy. They do have showers and a sauna. Very nice staff as well.

Actually my last class here was a pilates class provided by Pilates School of San Francisco which is located right across the street however some classes are held in Studiomix. Studio was clean and well equipped. Off course more importantly Rayannah is patient, experienced instructor which made an easy well explained class.

I love this gym, none of the other gyms in San Francisco can match Studiomix in terms of environment and open space. The owner and personal trainers here make the environment better, they really look out for their clients. Unfortunately, due to a job switch, Studiomix is too far out the way for me now, but I still recommend it for locals in the area.

I just joined this gym in December, and have completely enjoyed my time here so far. There is more than enough space for everyone, and the gym itself is usually never crowded. More importantly, everything is kept clean and tidy. The classes here are also great, and the instructors are top notch. Overall, this local gym is a great area to workout. If you are looking for a friendly atmosphere where you want to to be motivated to try your best in workouts, this is the place to go.

Best gym in town. Very fair pricing, especially compared to equivalent offerings like Barrys or Equinox. Many steps above something like 24 hour fitness. If youre interest a variety of classes to mix up your workout, this is your place. Clean facilities, great instructors, and central location (if you live in the area).

FINALLY found an LA-level studio in SF. What sets this place apart from bay area gyms is these guys know how to manage a space and they have the critical aesthetic eye to make this gym somewhere you want to hang out. Its a multi floor open loft with just the right amount of equipment - minimalist without missing anything. Loads of open floor plan, huge warehouse windows, excellent ventilation, spa amenities, friendly staff, all for half the cost you would expect. Also key, they are actually open every day, early mornings. There is no other gym I would go to in SF.

This is my local gym and the people and classes here are great. Vanessa has the best spin class and has a live DJ (Olga T) every second Sunday of the month. Pilates with Emily is also great. Studiomix also has a really nice and uncrowded steam room and sauna. All in all, its a fantastic gym.

I really love the variety of the workout classes offered here and especially the times they are offered. I havent yet come across a studio that offers so many classes after 6pm and especially on the weekend. Everyone is super nice and the instructors are mindful of newbies (like me) and will help them out without asking. So happy I found this gym!

I was a guest for a TRX class at STUDIOMIX and I had a blast! The instructor was amazing and the workout was exactly what I needed. The separate rooms for activities are spacious, clean, and have all the top-of-the-line equipment desired. The front lobby (and stairs up to the studio) will remind you that youre next to the movie theatre because often youll smell popcorn.

I cant say enough great things about this gym and the staff. Between the diverse selection of classes and the clean and well maintained equipment, theyve really accomplished what most gyms strive to do: making it FUN and convenient to workout and live a healthy lifestyle. Youll find all the essentials you need, whether its a piece of equipment to accompany your workout, a specific class or a health service/consultation from one of their on-site professionals. The staff here is honest, committed, friendly and invested in their clientele and have helped me on countless occasions put together amazing regimens that have helped shift my lifestyle and health to where I want it to be. I think most businesses can take a note out of their model!

This is a local owned gym that took over an old Crunch locale. They focus on a variety of group classes that are excellent, optimize ones workout time, and are fun and motivational. It attracts people serious about their workouts. They also have some machines, steamrooms, dry saunas, simple locker rooms, and an amazing cafe serving up innovative organic local bites and drinks. They also have social events, and the staff are very nice.

This gym is no joke. I took my first class here today on class pass and almost died. Im in pretty good shape, or so I thought, but Chantelle put us through the ringer and I feel like I got one of the best workouts Ive ever had. I did the 500 Calorie Workout class where the idea is, obviously, to burn 500 calories. I always wear a heart rate monitor to accurately track my cals and in this one hour class I burned just under 700 calories! I mean, wow. I know I will feel it tomorrow, but Ill be back soon.

I cannot find an unmet need. 1. An unbelievable variety of classes - morning, noon, and night. 2. Each coach and staff member demonstrates unique expertise AND a personality. 3. The facility? Inviting and oh so clean. 4. Great online access to services, class info, and staff. 5. Massage/Body Work? Acupuncture? Steam/Sauna? Onsite cafe? Yes. Whatever your mind, body, or soul needs on any given day, Studiomix can provide . . . and it seems effortless on their part.

4.5 stars if I could give it. I havent been a member for too long but from what Ive experienced, this is a legit gym. Incredibly beautiful space with saunas and steam rooms in both changing rooms, studios for different kinds of classes, a cafe and free wifi! The classes are both fun and challenging and designed to accommodate all different skill levels. Although the Build, TRX, and Bootcamp classes are probably the most difficult. What I particularly love about this gym is the foam roll release class. Many gyms dont have a class exclusively for stretching and relaxing muscles which is very important to do to avoid injury. Its the attention to detail that makes STUDIOMIX worth the monthly fee.I will say that some of the clientele can be snooty. But the vast majority are very kind, helpful, and dedicated to fitness!

Ive called StudioMix home for the past 1.5 years. It is unlike any other gym, where its focus is on providing really high quality classes. Ive taken a variety of different classes, including cardio bootcamp, x train, tabata cross, TRX, studio cycle mix, pilates, barre mix, zumba, and dirrty pop. All of the instructors are high-energy and super friendly. The gym is a bit on the pricey side, but that encourages me to go more frequently, so I dont mind it too much.

We followed Mark here from Massage Envy, cannot live without Marks beat downs... well not literally, painful but worth every knot he gets out of you, and he can work his magic in any given amount of time. Plus he gives you advice on what to do at home in-between visits to him.The massage rooms at Studiomix are HUGE!!! Its like having a master bedroom massage room. The only 2 down sides is you can hear outside noises from the gym, but its muffled and understandable, after-all youre at a gym. Second is its soo hard to get to as its right off of Van Ness... well must I say more?I would hands down recommend Mark to anyone in need of serious body work, or any of his other massage therapists.Hm that remindsme we havent been there in a while.

I joined StuioMix several months ago, after realizing that my monthly spend on yoga classes and TRX classes was getting pretty high. did the math and realized that with StudioMix, I could pay less and still have access to the classes I enjoy - and it also gives me a ton of additional options to explore. Definitely happy with my decision. The space is really cool (especially love the steam room - I need to use it more!), clean, spacious, well-kept. The classes are challenging and high-leve, with some outstanding instructors (Lillian So, Jet, and the Sat bootcamp, name eluding me, in particular are stand-outs). My only complaint is that on some days there arent really any desirable classes at times that work for my schedule, but I guess itd be pretty hard to make it work everyone. All in all, a great place!

Studiomix is the best. Hands Down. The front of house team - Dolly, John, Spike, Mystie and Krissie are amazing and take a consultative, rather than pushy approach with membership services. I have to give it up for Dolly...apparently there was a room mix up the other day, so she emailed everyone who signed up for the class who may have missed it, and offered to make it right (even though it was something so seemingly tiny that it didnt require an offer of any sort). This event/email from Dolly was the day I decided to write this review - they have great staff & fantastic customer service :)Now lets break it down - Im going to list the instructors Ive had and my favorite classes - in no particular order.1) Andre - Bootcamp - holy mother of God, this class is EVERYTHING. Andre will absolutely rip you apart (in a good way) during his bootcamp class. If you want every single fiber of your body worked to the bone, sign up for this class...Andre will push you and push you hard.2) Stella - Pilates, Zumba & Stretch/Lengthen - I love Stella...her energy, constant positivity, passion to teach & enlighten others about fitness/nutrition is inspiring. Whenever I see this woman, I immediately smile. Her pilates classes are a ton of fun/hard work and whenever I walk by Zumba, everyone looks like theyre having a blast.3) Vanessa - Spin & Bootcamp - similar to the upbeat energy of Stella, Vanessas spin & bootcamp classes are challenging and her music rocks. She is super upbeat, very welcoming, and her classes are a ton of fun.4) Sam - TRX - fantastic class! Sam knows how to inspire, get the crowd moving, and get the alcohol out of your system during the Monday class. I still need to try some of his boxing classes tho, since his TRX classes always kick my a**.5) Vincent - TRX & Strength Conditioning - definitely the drill sergeant of the group and doesnt allow excuses, so leave them at the door! His classes push me beyond my limits, which any fitness instructor will tell you is exactly what you need to do to achieve results. Hes no-nonsense and I think his TRX class is one of the most challenging at Studiomix.6) Ava - Spin - I used to take the occasional spin class when Ava would sub at my old studio downtown at club one. I am definitely a song/rhythmic spin rider, so her spin classes are usually my favorite. Theyre also the most difficult out of all the instructors. Shes fast paced, moves quickly with each new song, and loves to get you pumping up hills! BEST MUSIC OF THE LOT!7) Emilie - Everything - shes a jack of all trades & in a way, the biggest educator of individual classes. Since there are always new people joining various classes, she definitely slows class pace down a bit to make sure new people know whats what. I would suggest her classes if youre newer to Studiomix. Dont be fooled though, her classes are challenging and her music has been awesome lately. Before I sign off - have I mentioned the locker-rooms? Phenomenal.Studiomix has honestly changed the way I view fitness, it has motivated me to continue working hard, and it has reinvigorated my love of group fitness! What else could you ask for?Cheers!
