Dr. Aujla, Mercy, and Cristina were so friendly and lovely! After my appointment, I walked away forgetting that it had only been my first visit with this dental practice and team. As a new patient, l appreciated Dr. Aujla’s assessment that was aligned with that of my previous dentist of the last 4 years, who was awesome but I had moved away and needed to find a local dentist. I had a lot of anxiety going into my search to find an equally awesome dentist until I found Marina Grins Dental through Zocdoc.Happy to have been paired with Dr. Aujla! Dr. Aujla understood any concerns or dental history that I mentioned, and she was very communicative and transparent about anything I needed to consider now vs. in the future. Looking forward to returning in 6 months for my next routine exam! Also, the office felt safe and calming in light of the pandemic situation. Highly recommend Dr. Aujla and team.

Friendly staff, love that it is women of color running the show. Come here for cleanings and currently doing invisalign with them. Yesterday thought my appointment was at 10am but it was actually 8am and they were so kind and gracious enough to let me come in later since it was slower. When I lost insurance coverage due to unemployment, and therefor invisalign coverage, they allowed me to pay off in installments. Overall great experience.

I love how clean it is! They take photos of your teeth to compare over time - not just xrays. Very modern. Everyone is kind and professional. I’ve been coming here for 5 yrs and even though I don’t live in the city anymore I will continue to work with them. The best!!!

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Hassan and all the other staff at Marina Grins. Moving to a new city and finding a dentist is nothing short of terrifying. By some stroke of luck I landed in Dr. Hassans chair. She is absolutely wonderful and did everything to make me feel comfortable off the bat. She was very helpful in explaining what was happening and helped me fix up some fillings that I had been putting off for far too long. From the dental hygienists to the patient coordinators, everyone else is very professional and extremely kind as well. Five stars all around.

This is the first time going to a dentist in 3 years and oh man what a difference from my family dentist in Southern California. They were the most thorough team I have ever worked with. Not only are they are a dentist office but an ortho office as well.Adlyn who works at the front desk was so polite and easy to work with, she got me an appointment with Dr. Jasmeen Aujla within 2 days of my call. All paperwork done online so I was able to show up right before my appointment and get seated asap.Mercy the dental assistant was so friendly and easy to get along with. She x-rayed all my teeth, took pictures of all of them, and got my whole dental record ready for the doctor.Dr. Jasmeen Aujla was super professional, showed me everything that was good about my teeth and everything that could be improved. She measured my gums to make sure I wasnt brushing too hard and did one of the most thorough cleanings possible. Most dentist I have been too feel like they are hacking away at your teeth and making you bleed all over. Dr. Aujla was gentle and hit every crevice. I felt like there wasnt a single stain or tarter left on my teeth when she finished.Adlyn then walked me through all the services (crown, fixing some fillings, and maybe Invisalign) that were recommended by the doctor and the best way to go about it. After todays appointment, I feel like if I follow the doctors recommendations I will have amazing teeth that will last a lifetime.

I personally don’t like going to the dentist.... but... going to Marina grins has changed that... everyone is so pleasant, accommodating and helpful it makes it an enjoyable experience. They know what they are doing, they do an excellent job doing it, with such easy that I’m shocked they are finished so quick and painlessly... I have been to many before that were good dentists but always felt like they were digging looking for buried treasure when working in my mouth. Marina grins is the opposite, I can’t recommend them high enough!!

What’s not to like about a majority female-ran practice of really, really talented dental professionals? I’ve never had a more thorough, gentle, and thoughtful experience at a dentist’s office before. Every step of the way I was made to feel comfortable and informed about what was going on during my visit. Their precautions/cleanliness in these weird COVID-19 times were not suspect, not a bit. I don’t think I’ll go to another dental office now that I’ve found them.

This was the best dental visit Ive had in years. Dr. Ranganathan was very professional and answered all of my questions with patience and expertise. She also explained why I needed to have small procedure done and did it very efficiently. Kelli was a great hygienist and did an expert job cleaning my teeth. Cristina and Raquel, the receptionists, were very polite and made the entire process seamless. They were also very well prepared when it came to working with my insurance, and handled everything wonderfully. Would give this place 6 stars if I could.

I work nights and cracked a crown just before bed. I felt something strange and when i looked half of my back lower molar was gone. Unfortunately my dentist is back in Florida, but I work here in California. So I looked on my insurance page and started checking out some dentists nearby. Marina Grins had 5 stars so I called hoping for a miracle. And they luckily were able to get me in for an emergency visit within a few hours. All of the staff were great very friendly and great at what they do! Im a nurse but dental work freaks me out! My dentist was great reminded me of mine back home. They got me squared away with a temporary crown and got me on my way. I would highly recommend them is youre looking for a dentist in the San Francisco area. And with everything Covid going on they were on top of that too! They did great pre-screening, sanitizing and hand hygiene with their patients. Also as a nurse I appreciate that!

Just had my first visit at Marina Grins for a regular cleaning, and its one of the best dental experiences Ive had to date. Dr. Marcelo was thorough, didnt rush her time with me and walked me through my x-rays (which no dentist has ever done before). Cindy, my no-nonsense dental hygienist, worked fast but was still very gentle around my sensitive receding gums. Bonus: All the office staff was dressed up for Halloween. Would recommend!

I can honestly say getting cavities filled at Marina Grins Dental was the highlight of my day. Now that may be because I got food poisoning later that afternoon (true story; unrelated) but still, cavities are zero fun by nature and this team makes the whole process pretty darn painless. Each and every doctor I’ve seen is kind and patient, and the staff members are always helpful and warm. Plus, I love that it’s run by a bunch of badass women. Dr. Marcelo took care of me most recently and she is so genuinely empathetic to her patients. Long story short, I highly recommend this place. Go here.

Great dentist and team!

I had a cleaning and they did a great job. They took their time, were personable, thorough, and very caring on my teeth. And they gave me details on my teeth and instructions on how to preserve them and keep them in good condition. The one thing I didnt like was the suction device they keep in your mouth while you get your teeth cleaned. They leave it in there the entire time. Ive never had this done to me with any of my past dentists and it was very uncomfortable. Id prefer not to have that in my mouth, instead lets stop and allow me to rinse out the residue with water or mouth wash instead of using the suction device and leaving it in my mouth the entire time. My old Dentist would have a small cup filled with water or mouth wash and I would swish my mouth with the liquid every so often and then spit it out in their little sink throughout the cleaning. I much prefer this method as it is a better cleaning experience. That would be my one recommendation and change I would request. Otherwise they are great and take good care of you.

Have been seeing the incredible staff at Marina Grins for a number of years - Dr Heredia is my primary and she is absolutely superb with the highest of professional skills and maintains a state of the art office and the finest technology.Had to have an old bridge replaced today- a couple of hours of work that started with the ‘numbing’ process that was totally painless... seriously! Many challenges arose as an old tooth barely had anything left - Dr Heredia built it up, inserted a post and continued on.Love her and I almost was napping - she is compassionate and very caring of her patients- offering time outs and checking in as she completes her work. AWESOME- the entire beautiful staff💖

Very compassionate and walks you through everything she’s doing. Doesn’t try to push additional services on you that you don’t need. All her staff are also very professional and up to par with her when she is not there. Plus, she gives you a sweet goodie bag at the end. Definitely highly recommend!

Marina Grins is doing a great job of managing patients during this global pandemic. Make sure to complete the online questionnaire the night before your appointment to save time when arriving. If youve travelled, you may have to reschedule. Try to arrive a few minutes early just in case as you will have to get a temperature check before being seen. I didnt interact with any other patients and felt very safe the entire time.I came in for my 6 month cleaning and to adjust my night guard. I was greeted with a friendly front desk and quickly brought back by Fabiola, the super speedy and delightful assistant. Her and Dr. Ranganathan were happy to answer all of my questions and were really good about explaining all the steps.We started with my night guard because my bite felt off and was causing some soreness, but Dr. Ranganathan was really patient and was able to remove some of the additional plastic so that my jaw can rest more comfortably. She moved onto my cleaning which went really well. She was very thorough which I really appreciate in a dentist! After Fabiola polished and flossed my teeth, I was ready to go. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ranganathan for any future visits!

I had a crown done at the dental office of Elena Heredia (Marina Grins Dental). During the visit, I had Lissette Oropeza, a patient coordinator, performing dental work on me. She removed the temporary crown and scrapped off remaining adhesive from the open tooth with dental tools. She is not a doctor, hygienist or dental assistant, but she was performing dental work on me which should only be performed by a licensed dentist; Dr. Heredia wasnt present at that time. The moment I noticed that her name tag stated that she is a patient coordinator I told her I feel uncomfortable and I want to see the doctor.Dr. Heredia then came in and installed a new crown. After the procedure I asked to speak to her in private. I asked her why the patient coordinator was authorized to perform dental work on me. Her answer was that all her staff is certified, is trained by her and that she trusts them. She told me that she is too busy and she cant do everything herself. I told her that I made an appointment with her and expected to be treated only by her. She told me that this is how things are done in her office and I may not be a good fit for her practice.It is not the first time Ive seen dental work being delegated to one of her employees who is not a licensed dentist. On my first visit, she asked her employee to make and fit a temporary crown on me without her presence. It might have been the same patient coordinator or one of her dental assistants. But even a registered dental assistant shouldnt be doing dental work without a doctor being present.In nutshell, Dr. Heredia permits an unlicensed persons to do dental work on patients. How is it legal?For this reason I would advise anyone to stay away from Dr. Elena Heredia and her dental office.
