I joined Urban Diversion during the pandemic and it was one of the best things I have done for myself. With gyms being closed, I had to find alternate ways of working out. I went on hikes and rode my bike, but soon found going to the same trails boring and I had a hard time finding people that were interested in joining me on new trails. From the first event I attended, I was surprised how comfortable I was with everyone. The host and other members were so nice and welcoming. There are so many activities available and I have done so many things that were out of my comfort zone. When I felt uneasy about an event, I asked questions and they reassured me and made me feel comfortable about trying something new. I am so grateful for finding this group and taking the step to join. I know that you, too, will love all the adventures they have to offer, but most importantly, the friendships that come along with it is priceless. I highly recommend this group to anyone who is interested in having fun with great, warm and kind people.

At the beginning of the pandemic it seemed I had lost just about all my friends in one fell swoop. Some moved away, some became reclusive, and some just didnt want to take any chances of any sort. So Urban Diversion was a blessing organizing safe and interesting events throughout the pandemic - its certainly been a great positive addition to my lives.In addition to the great people you get to meet at the events, I think the thing that stands out in Urban Diversion are the hosts - theyre positive, energetic, inclusive, and down-to-earth. And membership is an absolute steal when you consider that you almost always have something interesting to do if you find a gap in your social calendar.

Urban Diversion is exactly what I needed to jump start my adventure life! I plan, plan, plan EVERYTHING for everybody in my life, so being a part of UD has been a complete game changer because they plan fun, cool, and exciting activities for ME!! So worth it, trust me.I like the diversity of the members and the variety of the events offered. In just one week, you can hike Mt. Tam, meet up for drinks at a brewery, join a beach bonfire and watch the sunset while toasting marshmallows, or just chill at the park with your dog. Silent Disco on the beach at night along side a warm fire pit was absolutely EPIC!! I truly love being a UD member and I highly encourage you to check it out for yourself!!!

Where do I even start with UD?! UD is definitely one my top personal investments within this last year. I joined this club mid December of 2020. I wish I had known about it much sooner! They offer a wide variety of social events from chilling at a picnic to going backpacking. I am all about the outdoors and staying active. UD meets my club expectations. Moreover, the hosts and members I have met throughout different events really make the experiences much more enjoyable and memorable.

Being apart of Urban Diversion saved me during the pandemic. Not only did I meet friends but also just amazing people to connect with. From the staff to members, everyone is welcoming and friendly. You will never feel left out. After losing my security from Covid, UD was the only place I felt comfortable and had fun. I recommend going on the excursions like kayaking, hiking or just to the beach to grab a drink and partake in interesting conversation. I met people of all backgrounds and ages that I never connected with before. Everyone in the club is down to earth and makes you feel appreciated. I found another home in this club and I am so grateful for the service they provided me during a hard time. I highly recommend this group to anyone wanting to meet people and get outside. This is such a great group to join!!! Much better than E+A, and more affordable than E+A. I was doing the trial membership is cost the least amount for being a member. We had a great, fun time going to a cabin at Lake Tahoe. Was able to give a cool dude a ride there and back for Lake Tahoe cabin weekend.Archery? Yes, I dont know if I will ever be able to shoot a arrow straight from a bow, it takes a whole lot of practice, and Im not Robinhood. A festive, squishy Thanksgiving meal was fabulous. Been to other events. This group does it fun and drama free, cant say that about E+A which thrives on drama.

Age group is in the 30s to 40s. Very lax environment. Hosts are easy to talk to.

Im so happy I found Club Urban Diversion a year ago, it has brought so many awesome people into my life and every event I join is unique, exciting and fun! Ive always loved the outdoors but being able to truly enjoy it with this community has been amazing!

Oh wow, where do I begin?! Whether you are new to the Bay Area, or have been a life long resident, you HAVE to join Urban Diversion! They will welcome you with open arms just like they did for me, and make sure your life is so much more fun and exciting. I have done things with Urban Diversion that I never dreamed of doing before. Horseback riding, camping, SKYDIVING, kayaking, the list goes on and on.I have been a member for almost a year now, and they have made me feel safe during the entire COVID-19 pandemic with their health protocols, while still having a ton of awesome outdoor, active events to attend. I have met so many incredible human beings who I now am lucky enough to call my friends :) thank you UD for making my life more awesome!!!!

Perfect group to join if you’re new to the city or looking to expand your network of friends. Action-packed calendar of activities ranging from camping trips and hikes to nights out around town. Very friendly mix of cool and interesting people! Joining is one of the better decisions I’ve made in since moving to San Francisco about a year ago.

I have been a member of urban diversion for a long time. They do a fantastic job of organizing an amazing selection of unique fun events ranging from camping in national parks (Pinnacles, Yosemite, Sequoia etc) to hikes and dinners.These events are well-organized and I have met many new friends.

I’ve made unforgettable memories and lifelong friends by joining Urban Diversion. Each experience has exceeded my expectations for adventure and laughs!!

When I first joined, I didnt know what to expect. I researched a little about the club and really liked all the options and events they had. I became a member and honestly, Im very happy with that decision. Theres always something to do, theres the outdoor events, amazing camping trips, hikes, dinners, game nights, international trips, kayaking and much more adventures that I wouldnt discover by myself. Thank you Urban Diversion for giving me the chance to enjoy this amazing state of California, but for introducing me to a great group of people who are my friends now!!!

What a wonderful way to meet people and do awesome activities in San Francisco! Ive attended their happy hours, sunset kayaking in Sausalito and am looking forward to more adventures to come! Money well spent and I highly recommend!

I really loved Ud Until I got tired of being confronted by the park rangers for coming in a large group .when the park rangers start to see 16 to 32 ppl coming in up under one name( whoever is the lead of the event that day) all hell breaks loose. What UD doesn’t tell you is that these camp ground cost only 25 to 40 dollars a night and that they are not designed for big groups such as DU, but they charge you tripple the cost and plus the 100 membership. We are constantly harassed by park ranges for noise, parking too many cars on one campground. Having to many ppl per camp site. It isn’t pleasant. Sometimes it’s not organized enough! Ppl end up lost and late.

Lots of quality people and fun activities. Never a dull moment. Highly recommend

For years I spent all my free time watching TV, doing laundry, running errands and I felt all I was doing was work work work. I was so lucky when my good friend Lisa told me about all these new activities she was doing over the summer. I was curious and asked her about it, and she said she was attending Urban Diversion, a club where they had a calendar full of events, they planned everything and I just had to show up. Well, Ive been there for about five months and the experience has been wonderful!!!! I recommend this club to every single person who wants to have fun, meet new friends, travel, and experience new things. Now I can tell Im an outdoor lover and I enjoy every single activitie they plan for us. I feel younger now :-) Wohoo! cant wait for our Kayaking adventure this weekend!!!

Although recently I havent been as active in the club, it was extremely helpful when I moved to San Francisco from the East Coast. When I came out here I didnt know anyone and the people I did meet I had nothing in common with which was very frustrating. At first it was awkward going to the events but after a while you find the same people (who have similar interests) keep showing up to the same events as you. Ironically I met my Fiance at an event for a Memorial Day picnic a few years ago as well as several of my now close friends in San Francisco. Even more ironically, the picnic picture in the park is the moment I met Tom! Lance and his staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and I couldnt be more thankful to an organization as I am to UD.

Had the most amazing experiences of the Bay area with Urban Diversion!! The calendar of events is very busy and exceeds all expectations, had no idea all these things exist here! Unusual hike trails, horseback riding, kayaking, glamping, camping, happy hours, bbqs, you name it - they got it!

Love these guys! Highly recommend checking out a few events from UD and see if you like it.Has been the perfect way to meet new friends and explore SF, the Bay, and fun spots in CA. Much better than other meetups I was part of before, with repetitive events, very awkward people, and people that werent committed to the group (flaked in and out - harder to meet good friends)Have been to Yosemite and Clear Lake on camping trips, bonfires at Ocean Beach, rooftop parties for Fleet Week, sailing in Santa Cruz, picnics in the Presidio, and even parties in a great building they have in North Beach. Great way to meet people! Worth the few dollars youll pay each month for them to plan 3-4 fun events every week and take care of all the logistics for you!

I am relatively a new transplant to Bay Area from Europe. A sailor friend of mine recommended UD. UD is great and their staff is amazing, diverse, active and very welcoming. UD organizes different events from hiking trips to wine tastings and exotic dinners. I personally prefer city events but I know people love their outdoors adventures. Recommended to those who need to broaden their social circles.

This club is the BEST!! Never a dull moment!!I moved back to SF after being gone for a few years and was really excited to stumble across Urban Diversion. A friend of mine had been a member for 2 years and was always posting pictures of him doing really cool stuff on FB, so I decided to join when I was back in the Bay Area.I am so glad that I did join.... I felt like from the first event I did (overnight whitewater rafting) the members were so welcoming and made me feel like I had been part of the family for years! I have done things with UD that I never dreamed of doing- biked around in Napa for wine tasting, went hang gliding, explored the region by hiking and even did their international trip to Belize!!Its been a super exciting year for me moving back to SF, but it wouldnt have been near as cool if I didnt join Urban Diversion!!! I highly recommend you check them out!!
