Its hard to believe someone could leave Jay a bad review. Ive been getting my haircut at barbershops for years in various cities. Ive had cuts in Chicago, Detroit, and Miami. Jays work and service is just as good. I think Jay provides a great service, is a good conversationalist, keeps a clean environment, and has a very fair price point. Ive only lived in the city for a few months and hes my go to guy for sure. I would recommend him strongly to anyone.

The son cut my hair super fast cause he wanted to go home and cut it way too short and not at all what I wanted. Also hurt my forehead with his brush and the back of my neck with the razor. I got a cut from his dad a while back. What his son did is not even close

There is another review on here about long wait times. Jay and his dad both take their time cutting your hair. They wont rush just because there are other people waiting. You might see this as a bad thing but I just see it as Jay takes his job seriously and wants to make sure he does right be each customer. I head across the city to have these gents cut my hair because they are nice, remember me, and are good at what they do.

Terrible! Literally just got a beard trim and the older gentlemen(the dad) had absolutely no clue what he was doing. Scarred up my neck with the razor and theres blood everywhere. Also wasnt very nice and THEY ONLY TAKE CASH!Would not recommend.

Everything you could hope for in a neighborhood barbershop. Friendly and perfectly proficient barber, knew exactly what I wanted and asked all the right questions anyway. Three customers came in right behind but he didnt rush through. Just right.

Favorite barber in SF. Jay is a super nice guy and cuts hair how I like it everytime. Hes like an older brother to me as well, with good advice alongside getting my hair cut. I will say that I like Isa, Jays father dont my cuts much better though. Hes old school to the bone--and a one of the nicest person Ive ever met. This shop reminds me of going to the barber as kid... Dont recommend.I tried to get to this place three times. Every time it had 5-10 people waiting and 1-2 hrs of waiting time.So, I tried this guy and two more places in the area - Supecuts and Top Cuts.Id say this place is in between Supercuts and Top Cuts based on quality, price and wait time. Top Cuts has Asian ladies that cut very well for much cheaper with no waiting time.Bottom line is that I dont see the reason to sit for 2 hrs and wait for same quality haircut.
