Gabe is THE man. He puts his heart into his work, his shop and his life. He is a happy guy, so the entire experience is enjoyable. The COVID protocols that he has put in place, including private stalls and UV light sanitizers for their tools, go above and beyond in making the entire experience feel safe and comfortable.The shop has a well branded and good vibe feel to it. Gabe has gathered several distinct vintage pieces and brought them together in a style that feels like a classic mens lounge, with each piece of the decor well representing his life as a Bay Area native.Parking is extremely easy at meters along nearby streets.

So let me first say, everyone in this Barber Shop is amazing! The people really make you feel like family and its not just a Haircut or a Barbershop its an experience you MUST not miss. I rarely write reviews but I had to recognize this amazing talented Barber named Grant. This dude is so talented, he can do it all. I am someone who cares about my appearance and my haircut. People who no the difference between a haircut and a dope, clean, tight fade will appreciate his techniques and talent. I looked for a Barber in San Francisco for over a year. So frustrated, I finally found my savior GRANT. His personality and attention to detail was remarkable. Lastly, if you think you have had a great barber or stylist.... you havent experienced anything until you see Grants handy work with some scissors and clippers. He is a genius! I recommend booking an appointment before he gets super famous. You can thank me later!

Gabe is the owner of Locals Barbershop and my personal barber. He keeps his shop super clean, organized, and definitely puts in the work to ensure each customer experience is pleasant.Even though I live in the Peninsula, I will deal with the traffic to get to Locals Barbershop because they do a great job every time without the worry of having a nasty haircut or surprises.I highly recommend Gabe and his team as they do a great job. Each cut is about 1 hour long and depending on the barber the prices range.I have yet to experience a better barbershop.

Ive been exploring some of the barbershops in SF after moving back to the city from the East Bay, and I have to say that this is my clear winner in SF. If youre like me, you dont want to pay $50+ for a clean fade and have to keep an eye on the barber throughout the entire cut because you cant trust the outcome. I prefer to have the comfort in knowing that I am going to get a great cut every time, and be able to even take a quick nap (true story) to recover from a hellish work week or a crazy night out before ;).That being said, I highly recommend GRANT if you get the chance to try this shop! He gets everything I said above, and I was impressed with his attention to detail. Ive had my hair cut now 3 times by him, and each time I was extremely pleased by the quality. Most recently, he helped fix my hair after another barber in SoCal completely messed up my line-up to give me a V receding hairline *facepalm*.He recently just moved to the city, so grab him before word gets out!

If you want a bald fade, and / or beard trim hooked up sick go see Paul. He always hooks it up sharp and consistent. I decided to have him hook my hair and beard for my wedding and as always did not disappoint, l looked my best on the best day of my life.

Customers have the right to be informed they’re getting cut by an apprentice. And if we’re going to be cut by an apprentice, the price should be at a significant discount. SMH

Just another barbershop full of mediocre barbers overcharging people for haircuts. This has become a epidemic in this city theres nothing you can say to justify charging $60 dollars and up for a fade and beard trim. You can go to Chicagos in the Fillmore and get a better cut for $25 to $30. Its funny no local I know would ever pay that much.
