They will not adhere to standard practice and make decisions on how your security deposit will be reimbursed. They will insist that you have to make security deposits & payments under one account yet disperse the security deposit separately which is different from when I was under their previous lease. I do not trust them with my money anymore.Bathrooms do not have fans, kitchens dont have dispensers, and they will be completely unresponsive when the time for your lease is over to force you to make another months rent. Also there is so much NOISE. Sirens go off all the time.

Nothing good about this apartment. Unresponsive management, will try to get every penny off of you, shady maintenance, lack of communication between management and security, and the list goes on and on. Dont waste your precious time and money here because you think that its a good deal because ITS NOT. Its cheap for a reason. Do yourself a favor and live somewhere else. Your life will be so much better. Id give 0 starts but unfortunately thats not an option

Ive lived here for over two years, seems to have gone downhill.USPS refuses to deliver to this address. You will always have to go to a local office and pick it up. The lines are long and pickup takes about 30 minutes. USPS told me they have walls of boxes for this building. Not sure whats wrong here. The elevator in the lobby is frequently broken (right now for a few days), and it takes about 5-10 minutes to get an elevator. Additionally the doors on each floor can not be opened from the stairwell, so you cannot take the stairs. If you want to do laundry or pickup food from the lobby, be prepared to waste 10+ minutes of your time waiting for the elevator. If you dont value your time, live here! I will be moving out soon.

Pros:The location of the building is perfect if you like Japanese culture and/or Jazz culture.Bus lines 38 and 22 stop just next to the building and theyre running 24/7.You can also find all kinds of fast foods as well as good restaurants, good bars, and all kinds of stores (furniture, cloth, ...).Cherry on the cake: there is a Safeway just next to the building :)Its sunny most of the time when its foggy elsewhere.Cons:This place is not the cleanest place in the city.As the building is next to a Safeway, it can be loud sometimes.

Security guy (night shift) is on his phone everytime ive seen him. People leave doors open and he clearly does not care. Was rude enough to ask me “are you a resident” about 3 times even though I was in the building to begin with when asked this question.Elevators are ALWAYS slow or just don’t work. Came home around 10PM on a Sunday and had to climb up 10 floors to get to my apartment. My roommate had to use the stairwell in the morning to get to work.My roommate and I were stuck in an emergency situation and tried calling management AND emergency after hours maintenance and what a surprise - no one answered. You’re picking a “cheap” sticker price over basic quality if you pick Webster.

Safeway, Wells Fargo bank and Indian grocery mart right in front. AMC Kabuki and Japan Town across the Geary. Bus #38 and #38R serves the financial district in 10-15 min. A great location for working professionals from South Asia.

From the moment you walk in, you see the Christmas lights hanging in the lobby, but its July. Last time it was used was the last holiday party where they gave everyone appetizers. You walk past the security guards who have no idea about many of the operations of the building, who also sleep on the job at night. You enter the elevator, look around and there are the words TechDolphin scribbled on the the elevator in permanent marker, thats been there since you moved in, and next to it an arrow pointing to it saying its been there for 6 months and that the maintenance staff is lazy. You look around more, and the elevator permit is over a year expired. You enter your floor... Look around, the wall paintings are crooked as usual and you walk into your room. You sigh, because your room doesnt have any window or ventilation. Its not even legal, but because it was so hard to find a place to live in the first place you deal with it. 2 in the morning rolls by and you wake up to the noise from Geary Blvd, like you do every night. The windows are so thin, that they leak water when it rains, temperatures reach in the lower 60s in your room, causing your heating bills to be astronomical. You think about your last CUBS bill (community billing service), which includes water, gas, garbage etc., and the $6 charge for every bill you get just for sending you a bill in the first place (and an additional $6 final bill fee when you move out). You fall back asleep, wake up in the morning and wait for the elevator.... 10 minutes go by and you finally get in. Its slow because the other elevator is occupied by someone moving in, and the elevator tends to actually skip floors when this happens. Finally, move out comes around and you cant be more than excited. You be sure to read through the reviews on Yelp and make sure the unit is in impeccable shape, as reviews indicate that Helen nickles and dimes you on your security deposit Phew, Helen didnt charge you for anything, in fact, she didnt even walk around to look for damages. She asked you for a positive review, and saying that shes opening up a new location on Divisidaro, so you think she let you fly for a positive review. You go to cash your security deposit check, and the bank declines it. The check is written wrong, its written to three people, without the word OR between them. You email Helen explaining the situation, along with your roommates... No response. You email her again the following day... and still no response, over a week later.Live here if you want:Mold issuesMaintenance issuesExpired elevatorsSecurity sleeping on the job (with the door left open at 2am)Lack of ventilation in the bathroom and none in some bedroomsPoor or no communication with Helen who is the managerGraffitiCUBs BillsAn unsafe areaFilthy groundsTons of garbage in the garage area (including used mattresses, lamps, junk on the lowest level)Limited time to do laundry (10pm close)Expensive rentBeing close to the unsafe SafewayAnd plenty more.Dont live here. This isnt a place you can proudly call home.
