I just secure my lease and will move in this week, I am very excited about the move and this apartment complex. The leasing office (Tina the manager and Chad) were very helpful during the tour and securing my lease. I would recommend living it this complex. :-)
Less than a year in, this place is so frustrating to live in. elevators break all the time and when are functioning, feel unsafe. management is very disorganized, rescheduled hallway flooring installation about 5 times and the schedule given in the end was incorrect anyways. i am unable to leave my apartment for an unspecified amount of time today and had no warning. mail situation is awful - you lose packages or they get locked in a large mail room that you cant access because the staff is away (you have to ask for access like you are a child). there are swarms of flies at multiple entrances. the washers and dryers are constantly breaking. rent is astronomical and does not include any utilities.
Applied my security deposit on improvements. I can tell you the apartment was well taken care of and deep cleaned before moving out. Cant get in touch with their office.Apartment Clean $150.00Drip Pan Replacements $20.00Paint Charges - prorated $226.39
I love it here, Im originally from Kentucky moved here in San francisco in 2016, My roommate Venus and i moved here from Treasure Island back in around march. have met some wonderful neighbors. The staff are so amazing and warm welcoming place to live. Its a safe environment and i recommend living here.
Management is completely incompetent. Maintenance staff are fantastic but trying to contact anyone in management is a complete joke. They actively avoid speaking with tenants. You will not get much of your deposit back. We left the apartment in perfect condition and even cleaned it. Staff did not even both to come to the initial move out inspection even though we made the appointment a month in advance. Do not move here. There are so many better options out there, for less money!
Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT move into this building. While the units themselves and the amenities are nice, the team managing this apartment is atrocious. My husband and I have lived at 2000 Post for almost two years, and are fantastic tenants. Weve had ongoing issues with an aggressive neighbor, yet the team did absolutely nothing. We sent over 20 emails and probably 10 unreturned phone calls, before making the decision to break our lease and leave. We would certainly have stayed through our lease, but the conditions were unlivable and the building management gave us no other choice. I appreciate how difficult it must be during this time, but believe that residents safety and happiness should take precedent over all else.Aggressive neighbor aside, we were not given any money back for the months we were unable to use the amenities, they incorrectly charged us for a service animal (and took weeks to correct it), and we had to endure almost weekly fire alarms.TL;DR you are much better off finding a different apartment, that will likely cost you a lot less money, and treat you way better.
The comments from Shelby and Tara are spot on. I am honestly in disbelief by the way management has treated me and my husband over the last two months. I emailed Tina everyday for 10 days straight before finally reaching her - and that is because I called HQ to get her attention. Tina confirmed our inspection date and never showed. I received a call later that the inspector was running late and was given a new time frame, again never showed. Both times I rescheduled meetings to make sure I could be available. My time and anyones time is valuable and the disrespect we are being shown is unacceptable. We are paying customers. This is our 4th year here and Im telling you this is the worst experience we have gone through as tenants. We will never consider living at a UDR ever again.
Love it here! The shared spaces are for the most part very well-maintained. I do wish the gym had more weights and equipment but its honestly a pretty decent one. The pool is great and I love having the hot tub to relax in.Im a bit confused by the complaints about noise in some of the reviews as the sound isolation is really quite good in my opinion. I really only hear my neighbors when theyre BLASTING music and thats only happened twice in my 3 years here. The area itself is overall pretty good. Its quite close to great areas like Japantown, Divisadero, and the nice parts of Fillmore St. That being said, it is also close to the not-as-wholesome areas of Fillmore St. so you will have to be careful about parking and leaving items in your backseat in plain view, but that really is all of San Francisco at this point unfortunately.
I have lived here for 4 months now.i have enjoyed living here despite the covd19 restrictions.Danielle who helped me and my roomate along w miss Tran were very kind to us.Miss Tran and her people continue to be good to us.i am grateful.this place is clean and a real nice place to live.i do our laundry regularly.it is a very secure safe place to live.nice apartments.nice elevater. I have no complaints. Thank you miss Tran and your staff associates of 2000 posts
I toured this apartment building with Danielle Moore and she was a fabulous agent. She answered every questioned professionally and was attuned to my preferences in kitchen features. I would highly recommend the buildings leasing office experience.
Full service apartments. Extremely responsive and accommodating staff. Awesome maintenance group and facilities (gym, lounge, mail, pool, hot tub). Great location. The old reviews here don’t reflect the current reality.
Been living here about a year now. My wife and I moved from Kansas City and were blown away by rent prices in San Francisco. We did a very extensive search of apartment buildings in different neighborhoods. We couldn’t find anything that would beat 2000 Post in its price range. The neighborhood is a lot of fun, but also very safe. The building is well-maintained and the staff is super helpful. Maintenance tickets are completed immediately and they even leave little chocolates on your counter. Love the gym, pool, and hot tub. Definitely recommend it!
I have really enjoyed my stay here. Beautiful building in a great location and have to give a huge shout out to Chris who hands down needs to receive an award for the best in customer service I have experienced inthe longest of times! Hes top notch!!
Staff are all great! However, the apartments are overpriced, the washer/dryers are frequently broken, and the fire alarm goes off constantly (often more than four times a month).
Pet friendly but only two animals, no flexibility at all for 2 small cats ( one handicap/deaf) and one small dog... although it’s not exclusive to this property, curious as SF is a pet friendly city
It was a great experience to live in this building for a year. Pool is great, hot tub even better, lounge is a cool place to hang with your guests, although I wish they put back the foosball table (someone broke it... it wasn’t me)
My husband and I lived here for three years. It was not a horrible experience, but was nothing superb based on how expensive rent and parking were. There were a few concerning safety issues, but the building management team was awesome when dealing with them. The location was incredible and walking distance to so many great restaurants. The reason for the two stars is that the move-out process is horrendous. We moved out four days before the end of our lease and turned our keys in early. The building manager was great during our final walk through and gave us a thorough itemized list of any charges (we paid extra for the apartment to be cleaned by their apartment cleaning and owed for some carpet damage). We walked away knowing we would owe less than $100.Then came the interaction with billing... They send us a final invoice claiming we owed over $900 before deposit was taken out. They charged us over $500 FOR MOVING OUT EARLY! When we called to ask, the woman refused to help my husband or explain the charges. She said it was because we didnt pay our parking on time and for the remaining charges on our apartment. Not once while living there did we not pay for parking or rent on time or early. She sent over the final ledger (in a poorly written email) and still did not explain the charges or answer any of my husbands questions. Luckily, he called back and got a different woman to help and she was a delight. We ended up owing the amount we had expected and it was an error on their end.Nothing is easy when dealing with this company. They will try to take every cent they can from you regardless of what the actual building management says during walk through. The fact that they tried to double charge us for rent (when we moved out and turned our keys in early), tell us we were late on payments, overcharge us for cleaning etc. is absurd and ruined any positive feelings we had about living there. All of the other move out reviews now make sense! Learn some customer service skills and all residents moving out or thinking about moving in BEWARE of this awful process - especially when dealing with the woman (who refused to give her name) working billing at 8:30AM PST on Tuesdays.
Terrible. Its very noisy. The room decoration is very old.The most important thing is that its a money hole. It reduced me more than 1000 dollars after I left here. I have cleaned the room by the cleaning company before I left. But it still charge me a lot. They said, its charged for the dog??? The carpet???? Excuse me!!!
Good apartments. Parking is on streets for guests. Hard to find sometimes
Over the past 12 months Ive seen a rapid decline in the management and community at 2000 post.As residents we pay a high premium, yet when things go wrong (maintenance issues, lack of security, dirty/smelly common areas) management suddenly goes silent. Most notably have been my sub-par interactions with Hyes Woo, the resident manager. She is unresponsive to emails and refuses to follow up. During in-person meetings to address issues, she generally tries to run the conversation around in circles until you run out of time. Its unfortunate, given there are a few good people who still remain like Gunther and Chris.Over the past 12 months, Ive experienced a severe decline in the community. To name a few items:.SECURITY -**Although we pay a premium for concierge services, the building took no action when my packages were stolen from our front entrance. I was told that the security cameras were somehow not recording, and would be installed at some point.MAINTENANCE -**For 2 days my apartment was filled with an overwhelming chemical smell, so strong that I could not sleep at home. After numerous calls without answer, I finally got in touch with someone at the front desk who said they were fixing a bathtub below me and couldnt do anything about it. No advance notice, nothing.**Something as simple as fixing a leaking bathroom sink took a total of FOUR visits from staff to address. And each time, I was told youre all set. However, my bathroom flooded and damaged several products and clothing. The building did nothing as a concession after I told them about the overwhelming error. Sadly, most repairs follow the same story nowadays.**The building installed new windows that leave the apartments scorching hot. Definitely not an upgrade. My window was installed with broken glass, which I reported this on the same day, and yet its still been 2 months with nothing fixed. Broken glass in my apartment is clearly not urgent enough.
Good location and wonderful management team
Horrible place to live. Over priced, very loud noises, constant random fire alarms going on throughout the day and night. We had our car broken into and repeatedly contacted them, nobody wanted to help. The entire staff didnt care at all. Many parts of the apartment were damaged when we moved in and we constantly had to get parts replaced. We got charged many random small fees that they never told us about until the end. Place is also near very sketchy and dangerous. We got followed and harassed by many drug addicts back to the apartments on many occasions with security hardly responding.Do not live here.
Careful if you rent here, simply consider your deposit gone because they will keep it with any excuse.
“Given the choice between living experiences of 2000 Post and other apartments, I would choose Post :-).”
My fiance has lived here for 3 years and we had wanted to move in here together but in the last year it has become inhospitable. Although I should say two staff members, Chris and Gunther, do a great job with minimal resources but theres too many issues for them to handle alone. Some of the worst experiences weve hadCleanliness:The elevators and stairwells almost always smell of wet dog, theres regular accidents with pets and they have gone unattended to for extended periods. Outside the building there is a persistent fly problem and in the stairwell they have to keep vermin traps .The Pool:The pool has been out of service for 5 months. We were originally told the new pool would open within 3 months. Since then the date has been pushed back several times, twice within 3 days of its then scheduled reopening. If they hit new most recent rescheduled date - it will have been closed for 6 months and the entire summer.Disgruntled community:The noise from the construction projects (which will continue to end of the year at least), minimal amenity access, trash problems and many other small things have made this place much worse to live and almost everyone you meet in the corridors or elevators is upset about the situation.Unfortunately, it seems the new management is more concerned about near term profits than its residents.
