I found a beautiful one-bed on craigslist that Jackie Tom had listed. We went back and forth quickly over email. We made a next day appointment and by the end of that day I had locked down the place. The pace of working together was fantastic and it was extremely easy to get the deal done. Since signing the deal all of the next steps have been met with speedy and renter friendly responses. I have been using Jackie Tom and Sheri Castilyn from Rentals In SF for decades. Its long past time for me to post a review. This company is totally professional, and Sheri and Jackie have bent over backwards many times to assist me with rentals. They are highly skilled, really good communicators, they have always given me good advice, and they deal with everyone with integrity and diligence. Since I began using their services many years ago I have never used anyone else.

I had a viewing with Jennifer Rissano. I had high hopes for the unit and working with them to find my next home. However, her lack of customer service was appalling. You would think she would at least be kind enough to introduce herself, tell me about the unit in a manner that wasn’t so dry and unenthusiastic. She might have been having a bad morning? Maybe she wasn’t happy that it was Sunday and she was working? Maybe it was the rain? Who knows. But I sure didn’t deserve that lack of customer service. She did the bare minimum.UPDATE:Met with the owner, who called me directly. She was very apologetic, courteous and even showed me a unit herself. Customer service always comes down to experience and first impression. Jackie was great to work with.

Taylor was able to help us lease 3 units (3x2, 2x2, and a 2x1) in our 8-unit apartment complex in the Richmond District. We were targeting above average market rents and Taylor was able to help us accomplish this. He was flexible, attentive to details, very personable, and easy to communicate with. Sheri was quick to respond, honest, and helpful in case of any maintenance or other issue in our Russian Hill apartment. When moving out, Sheri provided exact tips to get the most of our security deposit back, even as far as sending links for free bulky item pickup and being flexible with dates for our final inspection.I would absolutely recommend Rentals in SF as a property management firm as a renter in the Bay Area.

They care more about the owners than the renters. Getting anything fixed took more than standard time. Unfair charges and deductions from deposit. Overall experience was annoying and unsatisfactory.

I had some communication issues but the owner reached out and helped sort things out.
