Had a great experience with Captain Mark!My father, younger brother and I are all new to deep sea fishing but have always wanted to go. This was a great and memorable experience! We did a full day of fishing and we caught a total of 30 fishes ranging from Yellowtail, Dorado, and Bonitas. Our total fish weight after was about 110lbs. Mark offered to prep our fish but seeing how late it was and how many fish we had caught we took it to a nearby processing shop he recommended. They put us as priority and we had it next day by 10am. Our total packaged fishes weighted about 75lbs total.During our trip he provided us with a plethora of snacks, drinks and good company. We even got to drive? the boat for a bit too! Its fast and thrilling. We got to see not one but TWO pods of dolphins up REAL close. Also a whale breaching as well.Mark helped set us up for success and a good time. We recommend Captain Mark and look forward to fishing with him again in the near future!

My dad and I had a wonderful time with Mark who was an amazing captain for our half-day trip. We caught about a dozen rockfish and even caught a ~20 lbs halibut at the end which was awesome! Mark even dropped off our halibut to get processed and vacuum-packaged. The experience was fantastic and I would definitely choose Boundless Boat Charters again!

Absolutely wonderful!!! From the moment we telephoned to book this adventure until we stepped off the boat at the end of the day, Captain Mark felt like family! We did a sunset tour last year and a 3/4 day trip this year. Both experiences were perfect! The ease, professionalism, and care that Mark embodies makes fishing with him a great pleasure! Book Now! I did twice with Friends and FamilyLast week I went on two trips with Captain Mark and Boundless Boat Charters. They were both fantastic and very different:First trip was on Saturday. It was a 3/4 day guys trip with friends. Captain Mark and the three of us headed out to Mexican waters in search of Tuna at 6:30 am. We were told it would be difficult, and it was. Captain Mark was willing to tailor our trip to what we wanted. We traveled 100 miles looking for Tuna. We saw Tuna and a lot of activity! Mark taught us about searching for foamers, diving birds, and kelp patties. We landed a yellowtail - Hamachi - if you like sushi. Awesome experience. We had a great time and will go for the big stuff again during peak season. Fishing with Captain Mark was just like hanging out and fishing with a friend. However, he was very professional, safe, and had a clean well maintained boat. I would go again... and I did...My second trip was 3 days later. I joined Captain mark for a 1/2 day family trip for some rockfishing with my wife and five year-old son. Just when I thought it could not get better, it did. Captain Mark catered to our son. He made the trip all about him. He let him get the bait, scout for birds, and knew exactly when to have our guy reel in the big fish. My son is addicted to Wicked Tuna. Captain Mark became quickly aware of this and played along with our son every step of the way. We kept 16 rockfish (including a gigantic Vermilion) and released three others. After wearing out our arms, Captain mark thought we should slow troll for some yellowfin. This was awesome. Our son got to hear the line zip out of the reel just like on Wicked Tuna. We did not get a yellowfin, but saw a lot of action. We caught 4 barracuda and 2 calico bass. One barracuda was even poached by a sea lion while reeling it in. Finally, on our way back we drifted for halibut while Captain Mark cleaned the fish. Just as we were getting ready to leave the rod tip bent down and we had a 10-12 pound halibut on the line! Unbelievable day with my family. Memories we will never forget. Memories you will never have if you do not book a trip.Like I said, I did not think things could get better than having a guys trip (hich Captain Mark dis a fantastic job catering to us). But, Mark was outstanding with the family. All families who want a fishing experience need to hire Boundless Boat Charters. Prior to both trips Captain Mark stayed in contact via Text. Mark is awesome!! I scheduled a fishing trip for my husband and son and they had a wonderful time with Mark. I am pregnant so I could not join the fishing charter but I know I would have had a blast as well. Mark was so helpful when we had to reschedule our vacation and this charter for a later date due to a scheduling conflict with sports. We would love to return to San Diego and fish with Mark again! Incredible fishing experience with Mark on Boundless Charters! For a 6 hour fishing stint with BBC- Mark met the needs of every person of all fishing experience and skill levels. Mark was hopping most of the time, with one of us catching a fish and the other hooks needing baiting, I felt sorry for the guy. Starting with a yellow tail, then a whole bunch of rockfish, mackerel, and to cap it off- a Six Foot SHARK! Holy buckets! We had about 30 pounds of fish to take home (once filleted)! What a delight that trip was. We will be coming back for more with you Mark! Thank you for a memorable day!!

I could not have had a better first experience deep sea fishing. Mark was AMAZING! As someone who did not know what to expect, Mark took the lead! We found our perfect kelp, Mark threw the line, and yellowtail after yellowtail were caught on the line. It was a CRAZY day! He delivered such a personal experience I felt like we were friends from the beginning. I cannot wait to go out again! The amount of fish caught will keep me full for weeks! We can’t rave about Mark enough. He knows how to pilot that vessel like the captains of big cruise ships that don’t accidentally sink their ships! He’s very relaxed and helpful with teaching everyone how to fish at sea, and has a wealth of knowledge. It was fun right from the start: met the boat early in the morning, got live bait, went out to sea and after 20 minutes and a couple moves we got bites. Between three of us and Mark, we got 26 nice sized fish to fillet up and take home. We’ll definitely be back (so long as Mark will have our rowdy shenanigans)!

My wife and I booked a full day trip with Mark on our honeymoon and could not have asked for a better experience! The tuna bite was slow, but that didnt stop us from having an incredible time. Mark is professional, personable, and an all around great guy. He even put in some extra time to make sure we caught a few fish before heading back to shore! A review long overdue for one of the best fishing experiences Ive ever had. The trip was back in October 2020, Captain Mark adhered to covid-19 safety protocols first and foremost.Captain Mark was extremely patient and gave a lot of advice when asked. He was extremely friendly and easy to have a conversation with. You could tell that he put in a lot of effort to make sure the experience was enjoyable for people of all levels of fishing experience.We were lucky enough to have a good day of fishing and caught different varieties of Rockfish and a Yellowtail.The trip was so well done, we booked a second trip already this year! Awesome fishing trip with Boundless Boat Charters and Captain Mark!I booked the half day fishing trip with my two sons whom I hadnt seen in 18 months due to Covid. We had a blast! Captain Mark was terrific during booking process and called us the night before to confirms plans and the dock pickup and he makes the entire process easy, friendly and enjoyable. His boat is perfect for 3-4 people, totally fitted out with the latest and very cool fish finders, fishing equipment and we caught 13 fish, a number of which were 5-8 pounders ...bass and vermillion. Mark is a super fun guy to spend 6 hours with and is an extremely knowledgable, professional captain and fisherman. He clearly loves what he does and he quickly joined in our boys banter and ribbing as guys/gals do! :)) He cleaned all of our fish and gave us tips for cooking them. We had a great time fishing with Captain Mark. It was absolutely amazing to experience San Diego for the first time from the ocean all while catching some epic fish. We caught massive halibut, seabass, and rockfish, all of which we later ate. Captain Mark was amazing. We went fishing for YellowTail and oh did we find YellowTail. While searching for Kelp Paddies, we hit the motherload of Kelp Paddies and caught so many YellowTail that we hit our limit with just 1 Kelp Paddy!Captain Mark was not only patient but wonderful with teaching us on how to fish. From baiting to reeling. He ensured that we learned the process while also keeping us safe.I highly recommend Captain Mark to go fishing again. Cant wait to head out to go deep sea fishing again!

What a great experience on boundless boat charters! The half day finishing trip was amazing! Mark is incredibly knowledgeable about where the best fish are. The boat was clean, he made sure we were safe. Mark had a COVID-19 survey and I really felt great out there it was liberating after working from home for 7 months. We caught some big fish and Mark knew what they were before they came out of the water! He also cleaned up the fish! Total gentleman and professional. We decided to contact Mark at Boundless Boat Charters based on all his great reviews. He exceeded all of our expectations! Mark was extremely friendly and professional. They boat was very clean and well kept. Ours was a family trip including two of our teenage sons. Mark quickly built great rapport with our entire family and was a blast to spend nine hours with. He was also very patient while teaching and helping us. It was obvious that he is extremely knowledgeable of the waters and he constantly was checking the water temps and depths to make sure we were in the best possible places to catch fish. While great fishing has some “luck” involved, Mark’s expertise and knowledge is what made the day and paid off in pounds!! We caught yellowtail, halibut, huge rock fish, barracuda. Super Successful half day out with the family! Mark is an amazing captain! He is super helpful, efficient, and really great at judging when it’s time to venture off to the next hotspot. Captain Mark was very prompt in responding to calls and emails and was readily available for any questions I had during the booking process. Captain Mark makes the entire process easy and enjoyable. His boat is well taken care of and he takes pride in his profession. We had an amazing day out on the water. Mark also gave us the option of having our catch processed so we could bring it home with us. A great experience all around that I would recommend to anyone traveling to San Diego!

Mark had to deal with four inexperienced people and never was impatient. Always- ALWAYS-looking at our lines, helping us out, fixing tangles/ birds nests, etc. Very kind and professional. This is our second trip with Captain Mark and OMG my son caught a 32 pound halibut and daughter caught a slew of beautiful smaller fish. That’s ultimately 100s of dollars of fish we went home with. Actually Mark is the one that deserves the credit for those but made my kids feel emboldened with their accomplishments. Then Dolphins playfully swam in our wake. It was truly magical and memorable! We have gone with Mark from Boundless Boat Charter 2 years in a row. Our 7 and 9 year old boys asked when they could leave Disneyland, so that they could go fish with Mark. Mark goes out his way to make it a great experience! We plan on doing it again next year.
