Best rental prices around. No frills, but great service and Vince is a joy to be around....I had given the place a 5 star review before taking the car. I wasnt expecting a nice car, but I was expecting a safe car. Upon getting the car, the brakes needed to be fixed. The car would shake in the midst of rush hour traffic and then, when I tried to drive it at night, the lights were so oxidized that I couldnt see anything. While I understand that I got what I paid for, I was shocked that those minor but important safety things were not checked before giving the car to someone. I tried to exchange the car to no avail. Was told they could service it with a 1.5 hour appointment and although I was crazy busy, I carved out the time. Brought it in and over 2 hours later, Ive missed my appointment (got charged a $65 missed appointment fee,) and still dont have the car.Moral of the story is...you get what you pay for and expect appointments to take at least double the amount of time quoted. Also, be sure to check all the important things when you get it. Apparently safety is not a concern.

The customers service here is amazing!! I call and work with Fara to get the questions I need answered and she is always so nice and helpful!! The cars in the $299 range are pretty old and worn but they will get you were you need to go. If anything is wrong the staff is quick to come up with a resolution for you.I will be continuing to do business with them until I leave San Diego. If youre going to use Renty, all the staff is great and do their very best to work with you, but my girl Fara is amazing!!!! Highly recommended!!

I wanted to leave this review to say how much I appreciate the excellent customer service and professionalism shown by Vince during our interaction when I rented a vehicle through Renty.I made a reservation to rent a manual vehicle. I have not driven one in quite some time, and wanted to make sure that I was able to navigate a manual transmission. Unfortunately, after I made the reservation, I was told that the car had been rented already.This was not what I wanted to hear, but the way it was handled was how customer service should be taught.Vince called me personally and explained the situation. He did not rush me off the phone, but was so very kind and considerate. He told me he would arrange for another vehicle as soon as possible. He told me he would call me the next day at noon. I thanked him, and really didnt expect a call the next day.He called exactly when he said he would, and continued to work with me to make sure I had the vehicle as soon as one was available.I could tell that he had to jump through many hoops that I was unaware of to make it happen. I was so grateful.The icing on the cake was the wonderful man behind the counter when I arrived. Rented a car from here for a week and it was in excellent condition at a fraction of the price that other rental companies are offering. The option to extend your rental is also very convenient for long term rentals. I was helped by Jessica and vince who answered all of my questions and helped explain the rental policy. So this is a pretty cool place, I got a 2012 Subaru for 2 days for like $40 a day quick and easy Farah was great for the pick up and Vince made dropping off simple oll definitely be renty from here again. Oh and dont forget to use the massage chairs while you wait they are amazing and free!

Worst rental place ever! Had reservation all set up and paid for. An hour before pick up, someone from Renty called to let me know that the car I had reserved was not available. She said it was because they had a problem with their website. She said they only had one car left which was a 2006 Toyota Sienna mini van and it would cost me 3x more than what I had originally paid for. She said I had no other options. Ruined my whole day. Ended up getting a car at Enterprise which was easy and well worth it.

I picked up the car with no issues, the prices are cheapest in town and the cars are in great shape. I extended my rental twice with no issues and did it over the phone very quickly. And that’s with coupons and everything! Then I came to know about Renty from some online forum, and God I can’t be more glad! They had cars for daily rental as low as $20. I was like for the amount I spend for each day at those big rentals I could had got almost a week here! (Almost).Then I needed car for whole month rentals and you can’t beat the deals Sung and Shinji (the guys over there) offer! And since I was renting for a whole month, they gave me extra off to the already low prices. The people behind the desk are really friendly and helpful. Great experience here I have been renting at renty for 2 years, no issues. They also called me to remind me if I needed to extend my car and to remind me to drop off on time! Vince was the gentleman whom helped me and he was very polite and patient. I did not get out of here fast however I knew All the paperwork was correct and I was getting a good deal, thank you renty!

So this place is misleading.They dont have a very large fleet of cars available thats first off. I called to reserve a vehicle a day in advance. The entire conversation was about cost to rent the vehicle and the sales person never ever mentioned having to put down an additional $300 deposit along with the $299! Thats a completely different price and not something that would be left out unless on purpose! Now, I dont trust this place and will be going elsewhere and if I were you, I would too. They dont do business this way in Houston.So if you look below at the response its more bs. I dont have a problem with a deposit being required because some car renters do that, its normal. Its not normal to quote a price, even be asked the total cost specifically and how your service works but that large piece of info be left out!275 cars available in a city like San Diego?You may as well be doing business in a small town in Oklahoma.

I was looking for a company that rents out manual cars, so I found Renty. However the manuals are at a higher rate so I have only rented their automatic economy cars. Those are comfortable and very affordable for daily or weekly rates. Unlimited mileage is inexpensive if you have a long trip to take. Staff there is always helpful- Vince helped me charge a dead phone battery the last time I was there.

First time we tried to rent from here, reserved a car and they called later and told us they didnt have any. Then the second time they had one, but when we got there, they had a two page form to fill out with info a rental car company shouldnt need. Just weird. Think twice before renting here. Maybe if its you last option but we left and went to avis. Very easy and no weird forms.
