If I could give zero stars I would. July 31st at 3:30pm I came to get my car washed. No scratches on my bumper, my car is not a low car either. Just moved here from Sacramento and already spent $300 earlier today to fix the starter in my car. Towards the end of the car wash me and my passenger saw something in front of my car and thought it was a part of the car wash until we got out and the entire bumper was under my car. I go to car washes every month, like Quick Quack and have NEVER like how do you even explain this? How is this company so careless with their customers property. I left crying barely able to even fit my bumper in my car to take home. At least I got 2 free car smellies and a ripped off bumper. People in the office took it as a joke and didn’t even reimburse me for the car wash. I really hope this company will do something for me and no I don’t want free car washes in your sketchy car wash. Do not give this place your business. I NEVER write bad reviews of places, this is a first. Imagine you just want to get your car washed and are left in tears with a broken scratched up bumper and insides of your car hanging out and 10 less dollars. Really careless behavior.

I went to this car wash and got multiple scratches all around my car that were not there before. All the scratches are so deep that they are not completely removable by a detailer so the panel will have to be repainted. Because the scratches happened on more than one panel, the cost to do that will be in the thousands, so I just cant fix them. You should know that if anything happens to your car, the staff will not help you at all and will do anything they can to deny your claim. Even with proof, they will lie to you saying they have no responsibility for the damage they caused to your vehicle and deny they caused it. I gave them multiple opportunities to make it right, but they refused to do a single thing about it.I would recommend you stay away from this car wash or any other car wash where your car is touched by their brushes for the sake of your cars paint job. You will never know if the car before you will be extra dirty, leaving debris on their brushes to scratch your car. Only go to touchless or do it yourself ones. They will not attempt to help you at all if anything happens other than pretend theyre not responsible. Dont come here unless you like car scratches.

Pros:Tunnel wash does a really good job at washing, Vacuums work good too, and has towels for cleaning exteriorCons: 3-6pm = Peak hours despite having two lines it becomes chaos that takes roughly 25-35 mins just to go through the tunnel

This is a new location and it is huge and easily accessible from the main streets and highway. The carwash is seamless and seems to clean very well without smacking the vehicle around violently. There are many spots for drying and all had clean towels. Overall was very good and there were attendants available to help. FYI, when you enter the shopping center, dont turn right into the drying area, thats the exit side of the carwash, continue straight and then the entrance is to the right past the gas station.

I drive for UBER. So....my car has to STAY clean all of the time.I buy a monthly pass (the one the has the wax finish) and come as often as I need to.Its $35.00 a month, but if I come 3x it pays for itself. Plus the car wash is brand new, so I know the brushes wont scratch my car.

My first time at Soapy Joe’s Car Wash and I love it! Lately I’ve seen many private car washes around town that has been converted to Soapy’s and I was hesitant to try them out because I’m so used to humans hand washing and drying my car.The only drive through car wash I go to is Costco for $7.99 but Costco doesn’t offer vacuums or towels. At Soapy Joe’s you have a one time charge of $10, $15, $20 option or $15/$20/35 monthly for unlimited washes. I got the one time $20 premium wash, protect, shine, and seal package. Next time, I can get the $10 and it’ll be equivalent to Costco’s fee with towels and vacuum.Don’t do what I did and turn right into the vacuum center, only to see “Do Not Enter” on the asphalt. Do drive straight alongside the gas pumps to the back and curve right. There are two lanes with machines where you input your money. Not sure if they always have an attendant there but a guy was there to help us that day. There’s an automatic swing gate and after you pay, it opens up for you to drive forward. The next spot is where you line up your wheel to be locked to put in neutral. There’s an attendant to guide you.Since this place is fairly new, I can see the brush being new and not yet dull which took off all my days of dried up bird poop. The air drying is also controlled automatically then you approach the end where there’s a green and red light for you to proceed forward.Once you are out, you will drive by one of the dozen vacuum stalls and it’s optional if you want to park to hand dry further and clean your interior. We parked in one of the stalls and it was to my surprised that black micro fiber towels were offered. Again, since this place is fairly new, the towels are brand new.Next I tried the vacuum and I love the convenience of having access to the hose on both the left and right side without having to pull it over like getting gas on the opposite side.My only complaint is that the suction of the vacuum is fairly weak. It didn’t suck up my dog fur. Also, I wish there were multiple options of nozzle sizes so that I could switch out for different crevices and angle. The only hose offered is like a bent spatula.Overall, cool concept to downsize on employment and liability since you now have control of your own car. Those were the days where you would sit and wait, anticipating for them to yell “ready” and put money in the tip jar before claiming your car. It does make me sad for all those employees who are probably now jobless. However, I do love the ability to have a one stop shop because even when I did the hand car wash, I still had to wipe down and clean further when I got home.Recommend to purchase a chamois shammy towel. I’ve had mine for over 10 years and it still works great. Bring the shammy to pick up any water spots or use their towels. I actually used the black micro fiber to dry my rims. Although it says 5 minute vacuum time, there were plenty of empty stalls so we took our time.

This was my first time going to a car wash. I usually wash my car at home. I decided to go to this one and the young lady that helped me was very pleasant. I enjoyed my 1st time here. A different kind of car wash. You pay a machine up front, an attendant is there to help. You ride in car thru the wash, then you pull in stall to vacuum car yourself and dry off the car with clean towels they provide. So, you do some work yourself. I bought a $20 month long unlimited wash including tire cleaning. Well worth it.

Very organized system. You drive thru the carwash, pull up to an outside vacuum area where you can vacuum your car from either side. They also supply microfiber towels to finish off what you might need to dry. The blowers do a great job though. For $15 a month you can go as often as you want. So much easier than doing it by hand yourself and hauling out your vacuum. Definitely worth $15 a month!

Good car wash, great price if you buy the monthly plan. They kept running out of rags and the ones there stunck very bad. A SOAPY JOES I visited in slither state had spray bottles to use with the rags. They dont seem to provide that in San Diego Soapy Joes. The drive thru wash did not get everything. It did a minimal job for the medium package.

This has been a great experience with Soapy Joes. I was in on a promotion for their deluxe package and love it so much Ive decided to keep it. I have found the attendants helpful both in the car wash itself and in the convenience store. Their vacuums always have great suction and towel are clean and available to wipe down the car. I enjoy the flexibility of their hours and the ability to get washed any time I want. This has been an overall delightful experience and I highly recommend this service.

Just pull up to the gate arm and it opens automatically reading the barcode in your windshield. Zip through the wash that takes 2 minutes, use the microfiber towels and high powered vacuum to finish off the car and youre out of there in 10 or 15 minutes.

I used to love going to this car wash but it feels like it’s hit or miss on if we get the car wash we paid for. We usually choose the magic joe because we like all colors and the extras but we’re tired of the disappointment when we get the cheapest car wash. That’s a $10 difference and it’s not worth going anymore.

Ill rate this location 2nd place in all of the SJ, (Imperial Beach location is #1). Good service, the tunnel machine is long and my car is getting properly washed, rinsed and dry. Theres enough vacuums even during peak hours. The reason for 2nd place is in a busy commercial complex (Mobil Gas Station and the annoying Starbucks), it creates traffic easily all the way to the Camino del Rio Rd and its hard to enter.
