First off this place is awesome. Honestly a little more pricey than I usually get, but well worth it. Free beverage of your choice. From bourbon to beer. Then the best haircut Ive ever gotten for the price. Annie is amazing and the only barber Ive ever really had a conversation with. Free hairwash with the haircut. Then I pay and finish my drink and Ive never felt rushed to leave or anything. Love this place. Ill be coming back for years.

Super professional and experienced barbers, you will not leave here with a bad cut. The barbers listen and attentively give you exactly what you want. I cannot recommend any Brightside Barbers enough.

Nicole does incredible work with her clients. She gives you exactly what you ask for and the tightest skin fade I’ve ever had. I also love the environment as a non-binary person because it is so welcoming and affirming of all genders and the atmosphere is so comfortable compared to many other barber shops I’ve been too. I would absolutely recommend Brightside Barber and Nicole to anyone looking for the best cut and experience.

We are visiting San Diego and a local friend recommended Estaban for a much needed haircut. I was very pleased with my cut, beard trim and shave. Estaban took time to make sure he knew what I wanted, made some recommendations and provided one of the best cuts Ive had in a while. His beard trim and shave were outstanding. If you have not experienced a professional shave, I highly recommend Estaban! Im already booked for a cut and shave before I depart San Diego!

This is my second time going to Brightside Barber. I have to say I am really impressed with the service they offer. They are also very friendly and accommodating. My good friend Zach manages the location and my other good friend Britton is the person who works on my hair. I recommend this place if you are looking.

Leo Tang was my barber most recently, but they’ve all been great. Free drink before you sit for your haircut (alcoholic and non-alcoholic available), and a lot of time spent on detail. Lots of ventilation through the front windows, fans blowing, important during a pandemic (and everyone is masked). Convenient location with plenty of parking, and Ralphs and Trader Joe’s in same shopping center.

My husband loves this place! He won’t let anyone else cut his hair and he drives all the way from Carlsbad. Great haircut, excellent service, clean environment. Would highly recommend!

Great location right next to Ralph’s in the heart of hillcrest! Awesome service and ambiance. Good vibe and relaxed atmosphere. Waiting room has a fridge stocked with beer and drinks. Perfect while waiting for your hair cut or beard trim!Highly recommend!

I highly recommend this barber shop!! It is really nice looking and is also very clean. I had never been before and had the pleasure of Annie cutting my hair for the first time. She is very good at her job and have me a great experience from the moment I walked into the shop till the moment I left. Britton and Paige took great care of my two kids and gave them high-quality professional cuts, which is not easy to accomplish with 4 year olds.I emailed Brightside Barber looking for a warm and supportive experience for my twins. The kids were excited to differentiate their looks to best represent their growing independent personalities and they had specific looks in mind that other shops had declined to do. I usually go to a few local places including floyds, evolve and sports clips. I have to say that this place is my favorite. Annie cut my hair and she did a great job. They had cold beer when I arrived. Super easy to book online. I checked in on yelp and got a great massage shampoo for free.

Ppl were great of course and booking was easy but the haircut on my teen was immediately regretted and only grew worse through the weekend as she felt it out. here monday night b4 she goes back to school hoping this other barber is able to fix the mess. the woman knew she messed up as we left. I dont trust anyone else with my hair. Barbers are talented and professional. Jet is a plus to see weekly.

I was 5 mins late for an appointment which was 100 percent my fault. But the receptionist said it was fine. 20 mins later she comes up to me and says since I was late that it was going to be longer wait. She should have said that in the first place. Very disappointed by the lack of communication at this establishment. I will not be going here for a haicut!

My cut was a B+ but for $34 and no straight edge I was satisfied but not impressed
