Ive been coming here for almost 15 years. This is the only place I ever bring any of my vehicles or my friends and familys vehicles. Honest, reasonable, and knowledgeable about all makes foriegn or domestic. Quality automotive is the perfect name for this place cause above all else its Quality work!

I found a puddle of oil under my car and some lights on the dashboard on. Since I live close to a big chain shop I went for a diagnosis before driving more without knowing what it was (thieves!). I took it to Quality Automotive and they fixed it for less of what the big chain was charging. OMG these guys gonna go to heaven!! Not even charged less, worked faster and fixed little details I wasn’t expected for. I left the shop so happy that I was dancing 🤣. I recommend with closed eyes Quality Automotive. Thanks so much for this good experience and your honesty, for your good service, good price and the best, your good work !!

Really impressed by this place. Came in on a Saturday with an issue with my brakes, they did it in an hour and a half. He was able to figure it out immediately. Very competitive pricing. No upselling or nonsense, will definitely go back if I need another fix.

This has to be the most honest mechanic I have ever been to. The moment I pulled up the mechanic asked the right questions and within 5 mins he knew exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. He explained to me what else may be wrong and even explained to me how he would fix it. There was never any feeling of up-charging and when I got my bill there was no hidden fees and the most honest pricing. I will never go to another automotive shop. This is the best one in San Diego.

Thanh Is by far the best most honest mechanic I have ever known! My whole family, including aunts, uncles, and cousin have been using him since I can remember. He is always fair priced and does excellent work. Im moving to Iowa and I have full confidence driving my family across country knowing he has done the work on my car. Its going to be hard finding a mechanic as honest, fair, and hard working as Thanh.

Had timing belt and water pump changed (preventive), and some fuel injectors changed because of misfires, back in December 2016, and my truck is still running smooth. They did really good work at fair market prices. Im from the South Bay, but have friends who work in the area and like taking their vehicles to this shop. Will return when the truck needs work again. THANK THE HEAVENS for amazing and honest people like Tyson at Quality Automotive! My friend and previous manager has been going to Tyson for all his auto repairs with European cars for the last 15 years, and after I went to BMW to get a general check-up of my car and mentioned that I recently needed to add oil, they asked if I wanted to do diagnostics (which cost extra, of course!) to see if I had a leak. Then I got a lovely call from BMW stating that there was 3 potential sources of the leak, but they couldnt determine exactly the source. I got slammed with a $5900 quote to replace the oil gasket, oil filter housing and oil pan! BASICALLY, how much my car is worth if I traded it in! INSANE!! Luckily, I conferred with my brother-in-law whos friend owns a European auto-body shop and stated that even if the dealership were ripping me off (WHICH CLEARLY THEY WERE), that it should not be more than $3000. In addition, he stated that in his 10 years of owning his shop, hes NEVER replaced the oil pan on a BMW.So, I called my friend who I knew went to a local autobody shop, and he referred me to Tyson. When I spoke to Tyson on the phone, he told me to come in any time and he could take a quick look. But even on the phone, he explained very quickly and easily to me, with leaks its like a showerhead, you start from the top and work your way down. Makes sense right?! I dropped by later that day and with a flashlight, he showed me where he thought there might be leaks and told me he could get a quote on the parts. Within 24hr, Tysons estimate to replace the oil gasket and oil filter housing was around $200 for parts and $550 for labor. SERIOUSLY?!?! Over a $5000 difference?!?! As we ALL know, dealerships will always mark things up but thats just OUTRAGEOUS! I brought my car in a few days later and Tyson was able to complete the work the same day! There was about a $30-50 difference b/c he had to fix a couple of other parts, but I know he did great work and he is honest and reliable! All I can say is, if youre looking for quality and you want someone whos reasonable, reliable and just, Tyson at Quality Automotive should be your first choice!

My car doctor is honest, fast, and fair prices. A couple times he did not charge me when it was something quick. He often diagnoses via the computer terminal in front of my eyes within a few minutes. He could have ripped me off, but he doesnt. I love that. Usually my car is fixed within a day. Sometimes I get a ride from them if my car is being fixed up.

This is the best mechanic in town. Thanh is very kind and trustworthy. Never fails to get my entire family back on the road.

Truthfully, Ive never had a mechanic I trust. That is, until I met these guys. Theyre helpful, tell you exactly what the problem is, and walk you through it. At no point have they pressured me into anything. I recommend them to everyone.

Awesome place. My corolla was bleeding oil and toyota told me it would cost over a thousand to fix. I brought it here and they simply plugged my oil pan properly and sent me on my way at no cost. Always fair. Always doing extra things for me if they see something is wrong. I never have problems and my beat up old corolla is still running strong. Love these guys!
