I was having issues with my brakes, and my friend had referred me to Lees Auto Repair. She found Lees after another repair shop had quoted her a much higher price. I was able to make an appointment immediately, I was quoted a price that was lower than I expected, and my car was ready to go in less than an hour. I would recommend Lees Auto Repair to anyone!

I am so disappointed in Lee. I have been a loyal customer for over 8 years and have referred so many friends and family to Lee over the years. He became our trusted mechanic. There was really bad noise that sounded like a construction zone was taking place under my hood. I brought my car to Lee‘s along with the recording just in case it didn’t make the noise while I was there. Of course it didn’t make the noise when I pulled up to his shop but I explained what was happening, how often it was happening, and showed him the recording. He laughed at me and said there was nothing he could do. I was a little taken back by his response and said that I can leave my car for him to take a look at it. He refused to look under my hood and said that he was not going to check out my car! I was shocked and couldn’t believe what he was saying. I point blank asked him “are you seriously not going to take a look at my car?” and he replied “no because if I give the wrong diagnosis I don’t want you to be mad at me”. Then he just walked away and said “bye”. His refusal to look at my car along with his response of why (me potentially being mad at him if the diagnostic was wrong) was extremely unprofessional and unwarranted. Luckily I took it to another mechanic nearby and they provided excellent customer service and did a thorough inspection my car for free! They determined it was my serpentine and tensioner belt that needed to be replaced. I will never go back to Lee‘s again and neither will my friends and family. So disappointing and unnecessary.

Went to Lees to get my catalytic converter replaced back in 2018. Very honest and professional with good price. Even gave me a discount because the shipping was delayed a bit.

Lost my trust with Lee today. He put the wrong oil that could have damage my car maybe to save some moneysince it came in a barrel. Luckily I saw he was using the incorrect type and asked him to replace it with the correct type. In which he got upset and asked me not to come again. I suggest you find someone trustworthy if youcareaboutyourcar.

I have written maybe 2 reviews in my life but Lee is so good I had to break that spell and write one for him. Hes honest, inexpensive, and super knowledgeable. Ive gotten work done (and he told me when work didnt actually need to be done that other mechanics tried to sell me on) and done pre-purchase inspections with him where he was able to guide me away from certain cars and gave advice for model years to look for and which to stay away from for multiple types of cars. I drive from North County to have him work on my car because hes that good.

Ive been getting my Accord serviced here for several years and each time hes been fair and very honest about the work. I have a close friend who owns a European car service shop and I always run by my car issues first to see what I should possibly expect. Lees has always been consistent and fair about what needed to be done and fair about the pricing.Ive come to trust Mr. Lee such that Ii really dont cross check with my other friend anymore. Lees and his staff are one of the best service shops in San Diego. I have been going to Lee for several years. They always diagnose the problem correctly, and repair the problem for much less the any dealership.They perform high quality work and their prices are fair.I have taken my car to Lees several times because I thought it needed a major repair. On several occasions the problem was something minor, and Lee fixed the problem for a very low cost. Many other service shops would have charged me for the major repair even if it didt need it.My family owns several vehicles, and Lees Automotive is the service shop where I take our vehicles first. They will repair the problem, and if they cant complete the repair because your car needs specialized service (example: transmission service), they will refer you to a reputable expert.They are honest and fair, which is hard to find. I highly recommend Lees service shop for your vehicle repairs.

Our car broke down while we were visiting San Diego and we still had a 7-hour drive home. We called ahead and he told us we could come right over. He was able to figure out what was wrong and fix our car in less than 2 hours and charged us a very reasonable price. He was very nice and did great work on our car

Ive been to Lees multiple times. He has fixed other people mess ups for me, done checkups and regular work. Hes is quick, through and reasonable. He only does what is needed. Very trust worthy. I know another person that uses Lee and is very satisfied.

Came here for a serpentine belt repair. The service was quick and at an affordable rate. Lee was courteous and had a customer friendly approach. Would repeat for other services.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Lee has done about $2000 worth of work on my car in the last 2 years. Recently I drove in with a loud knocking sound, he immediately told me to pull over and turn off my car then in about 10 seconds told me I needed a new engine and that if I drove the car it would have dire consequences. He told me the motor would be $3400 with a 3 month warranty. I chose to drive off the premises and take my chances and get another opinion. In a few minutes the sound stopped. The sound did restart again a week or so later so I pulled into the closest auto shop and the owner said my water pump (the one Lee had installed less than a year ago) had broken in two. It was obviously a defective part. I chose to have the new mechanic fix it for $350. Quite a bit less than the $3400 plus tax etc I would have spent at Lees. The new mechanic said I should take it to the mechanic who installed it since it was probably still under warranty, however, I will never let Lees Automotive ever touch another car of mine again.

We take all our vehicles to Lee. His prices are always reasonable and he usually completes the work earlier than the estimate he gives you. Recently he gave us a quote for some substantial suspension work on our Honda van. When I went down to pick up the repaired van he showed me a severely rusted suspension arm that he had to cut off to avoid damage to other parts. He explained that it took him an extra 3 hours over what he had estimated. I expected an increase on the final bill, but Lee honored his original estimate. Lee is a gem.

I called them and they were able to give me a quote for price and time(not like other places). They called when my van was done and charged what their quote was. I was very surprised how fast they were able to accommodate me and fixed my van. I am definitely going to use them again.

I am a girl. That being said I do not always welcome my trip to the repair shop. I found Lees business by looking at some other reviews about one year ago. He has been my regular mechanic since then. I have a car and a truck and they are both older vehicles. I need to car shop but hate it so I am putting off the inevitable. My vehicles must have figured out that their time has come to go to that great auto repiar shop in the sky because they both have acted up in the past month.Never fear- off to see Lee I go. He always gets me in fast and the turnaround time on the repair is so fast that I think how could they do it? The proof that it is done right is that I have never had to bring my car back for a follow-up after having work done.His rates for the older vehicle repairs are very fair and he lets you know upfront what the costs will be. Now if I could only take him with me to buy a new car...

I couldnt pass my smog, so I went to lee to find out what the problem was . He wasnt being honest. He had me fix something that didnt need to be fixed and then he told me to go to the dealership after I had spent $600 in parts. When I went to the dealership they wanted me to leave my car for a week. I couldnt do that I found another place closer to home in la Mesa and they helped me figure out the problem . Not bad pricing either . Lee was to busy to really help me .i guess my problem didnt matter to him. I would never return here and although he does cheat work he is not really a good mechanic . I have known lee sense I was a child . Sad that I have to take my business somewhere else .

Hallelujah. An honest mechanic! Its 8 years later and I still love this garage.8 years ago...I was totally blown away when I was charged only $35 for rear brakes that were making a LOUD chunk, chunk, chunk sound. He could have charged $500 and I would have believed thats what the car needed. Ive been taking my familys cars to Lees for a couple of years now. But I didnt know what I gem Id found. My sister brought her Prius all the way from Carlsbad for Lees to work on it because we can trust them. Nice people.

Not a good experience. I brought a new Toyota Camry, and checked the car in the shop. Lee changed my Battery and Brake Rotor, and charged me $600+. He also want us to replace the tires, which asks for quite a lot of money, and we find much cheaper replacement at the other store. Unfortunately, the battery fails to work after two months and leave us on the supermarket parking. We had to call others to change battery for us. Really bad experience.

Car was having battery issues and barely started and I had a ton of work to do. I came here on a whim and they got me in right away, replaced my battery and I was out the door in like 15 min. 👍🏽
