Weve been taking our cars to Shawn at Tune Craft for at least fifteen years now. We have always been treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. They often identify major repairs ahead of time & provide a cost estimate (i.e. we will need to replace the timing belt for our Honda in six months, etc.), allowing us to budget for the expense.Weve also had several of our cars towed in and we always get quick, top notch repairs. They are honest and reliable. Getting our regular oil changes here provides us with a regular safety check and saves us ever having to top off any fluids. Youll never be driving around with inoperable tail lights if your car is serviced here.We always buy used cars, and have found that having a AAA membership usually pays off every year, with the discounts provided by Tune Craft exceeding the annual membership cost. This business is highly recommended & we would be heartbroken if they ever leave Clairemont.

I called and scheduled an appointment with Shawn @ Tunecraft. They were flexible with time, but asked me to come in early, so I can get back early. So said, so done! They were honest, safe, convenient with paying options, I got an invoice/work slip that explained what they did and was able to pay online. (COVID Safe) Reliable- my car was finished earlier than expected. There was no exaggerated speech about how much I needed to get done, just a professional courtesy of things likely to come up, they gave me a price estimate and said, just work on the ones you can! Been meaning to write a review for some time now. This company and its people have been fixing our (very old) cars for years now. It is so hard to find a car repair place you can trust, but again and again, Tune Craft has been just such a place. They have told us not to bother with certain repairs when not really needed, so that when they do say something is urgent, we really can trust them. Prices are good, and they dont up-sell. Also easy to deal with and punctual. Highly recommend.

I didnt have an urgent need, so I cant judge on-time repairs. They did a good job and a reasonable price. They had to diagnose an ignition problem on an older vehicle, which can be tricky, but the diagnostic charge was reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone.

Our experience at Tune craft wast great. Our 99 Escort was not running well. Sean at Tune Craft said that he could repair it, In lass than 4 hours we had our car back paying a reasonable amount. I had a transmission rebuild, extensive A/C & heater vent repair, & several smaller repairs done here. The crew discovered some smaller repairs that could be addressed while performing the larger items. I have a 1975 K5 Blazer which has been extensively modified which can make it difficult to find parts. Shawn, Andre & the rest have been able to find, or modify the necessary parts to make repairs. I give my highest recommendation to this Tune Craft location. They proved to be honest, reliable & reasonable with their work.

Tune craft saved my car, I took my car to another well known shop and was told it was my engine, my daughter told me about tune craft and fixed my car, it was not my engine, this was 4 or 5 years ago. They really take care of your car and are honest, very rare these days.

My first interaction with this shop was for air in my tires. Andre helped me out, no questions asked, and didnt charge me a dime even though I had my wallet out ready to pay. Now several months later, I just had my car serviced with them and couldnt have been happier. Shawn took the time to break down the costs, walked me through what they found during diagnostics, answered all my questions fully, and even printed out some technicals for me to read through. Its hard to find honest auto labor at such an affordable rate, but these guys are the needle in the haystack. I was notified that my car was ready for pickup even earlier than scheduled, which was a pleasant surprise since I had plans soon after. After finding these guys, I doubt Ill take my vehicles anywhere else.

I love TuneCraft, Ive been going there for years and years. I just went earlier this week for an oil change, but they checked over everything, went the extra mile. My Jetta is 18 years old! They are honest, reliable, excellent mechanics (nothing breaks down a few days later and needs something else). They communicate with me in an easy-to-understand way without talking down to me. I trust them, they are honest and have good business practices. Ill miss them once I get a new car, but Im trying to keep my manual transmission as long as I can.

Dealer told me I needed a new transmission and that was the end of it, Tune Craft said same thing except they told me they could buy me some time to look for a new car rather than fix up my crappy old one. Mechanic said Id probably get 12k miles with their cheapo repair which was way more than I thought I needed, well just about 12k miles later I pulled into the new car lot for them to process my trade-in and it wouldnt go into park, of course the dealer didnt care as it wasnt worth much and I just bought a new car. The Tune Craft repair saved me a lot of time and money and Im grateful. Have since gotten my brakes done here on the new car at a substantial discount over dealer.

I dropped my car off at Tune Craft on a Thursday night, notifying them that the starter was not working.I work at a company that estimates how much car repairs will cost, and they said the parts would cost 200, and it would be .8 hours of labor. After looking on amazon as well as local parts vendors all the prices for the starter for my car were 200 or less.Tune Craft called me and said the parts were going to cost around 200 and told me the repairs would be done on Tuesday.On Tuesday I called and they said it was going to take an additional day, which meant I had to pay for an extra day of rental.When I got the bill on Wed I found out they charged me 100 for diagnosis even though I had already told them what the problem was, and that their labor costs over 100 an hour and they charged me for 2 hours of work.The price of parts was listed as 213.75 on the top of the invoice, and as 229.98 in the invoice total.The only reason that I didnt rate them 1 star was because the employees were respectful and my car is now working just fine, but I wont be coming back again.
