Best dentist visit ive had! I had to go to get a wisdom tooth pulled and tried this office since it was closer. All the paperwork was sent to my phone and even tho they were booked they squeezed me in. I hardly had a wait, the office runs very efficiently and had a very friendly staff. The best part about this place was the dentist! She made me feel comfortable and i swear it felt like she did the extraction in only a minute! She definitely knows what shes doing and shes good at it. I will for sure be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Going to the dentist is scary business..normally...but at Shaenfield Family Dental it is the exact opposite. It was the best experience starting from making the appointment, to walking in and having the front desk lady, Maria, explain what is and is not covered by my insurance for that appointment (so I was aware of my charges before being seen) to the assistant Cindy making sure I was comfortable as she took my x-rays. Not one single issue! To top it all off Dr. Hasheem was able to explain what I needed to have done and why. The why was very important to me as I have had unnecessary work done in the past. What I needed to have done was all broken down on a paper that I signed and got to take home explaining what was estimated to be covered by insurance and what my estimated portion would be. I highly recommend going here!!!

I had my new patient exam and cleaning done at Shaenfield Family Dental. I just like to note that I am not a fan of going to the dentist but this was by far the most “enjoyable” experiences I’ve had. Everyone was so nice and did a great job. I will definitely be returning and will be making Shaenfield Family Dental my go to for all teeth relate matters. Definitely recommend!

Beware of what they charge you for!Very unhappy with the billing practices of this office. I checked my EOB and realized my patient responsibility was much less than what the office had me pay. I called as I believed I should have had a credit on my account. The person who answered the phone said my account had a zero balance. I asked how that was possible since I was looking at my EOB. She didnt really say anything. I then asked if they billed me privately for services they did not bill to my insurance. She said yes they charged me anti-sensitivity treatments for the teeth they did fillings on. She said its not a charge my insurance would pay. I asked why they did not tell me that at the time of service. She said you needed the treatment so we just did it. If that was the case, why wouldnt this charge be covered by my insurance? I said that was not acceptable that you arent giving patients a heads up that they are being billing for items outside the scope of their insurance. All she responded with was but you needed the treatment. I told her I have actually had multiple problems with the fillings they did and those teeth are terribly sensitive so whatever they charged me for did not work. I have since seen another dentist and turns out one of my fillings may have not have been done properly and they did not pack the filling enough. Now I may have to get that filling re-done only a year later. I feel very mislead by this office. Best thing that happened was they stopped taking my insurance or else I would have probably stayed with them. The staff was professional, but actual treatment and billing was not.

Dr. H, Is phenomenal. I recently had filling done at another office and experience a crazy amount of tooth sensitivity to hot/cold and poor contouring of the tooth. I ended of fracturing off tooth structure due to my bite not being adjusted properly. On what was rather shallow fills except one. I was truly nervous to get the other fills taken care of due to the amount of sensitivity I was having. Dr. H assure me that Id be fine, and I was. I came to get a few fillings, and all went GREAT. I didnt need to return for a bite adjustment, and I havent experienced any tooth sensitivity. Very grateful for the amazing service and care. I will be back, and DEFINITELY recommend this dental office.

Where to begin!? I walked in and the receptionist was very kind and got me checked in very quickly. Martin was the hygienist that helped me and he was very nice, considerate, professional, and friendly. Dr. Hasheem was also very kind and informative, she gave me some information on my wisdom teeth and overall I’m glad I chose this place. They are so fast and efficient while also not making you feel like they are trying to get you in and out of the office. I will definitely come back here for all my dental needs. 1000/10

Got an exam, sealant and cleaning all in the same visit, I would usually have to go back for another visit to get everything accomplished when in the military. Glad I chose this place and btw my daughter goes here too.

**Bad x-rays - inaccurate treatment plans - lies about insurance coverageI originally thought this place was ok. Had a cleaning done and some work. But then I took my kids for cleaning and because 2 of them needed cavities filled. Thats when I noticed a lot of issues!First of all, one of my boys needed extensive work and I knew that going in, but was told by the dentist that its normal. As in, nothing we can do about it. Another needs braces because of crowding but they wouldnt talk to me about it.So I went to a pediatric dentist for a second opinion and first thing they did was take new x-rays because the ones taken at Shaenfield were too fuzzy and they couldnt see anything. They even showed me the difference in quality and it was shocking. Then they gave me a quote for fillings and additional treatment (all the treatments my son needed that Shaenfield didnt notice) and it was a fraction of what Shaenfield was asking and what theyve charged....I asked Shaenfield about whether or not they filed our previous work with the insurance company because this other place is charging us hundreds less. They said Yes but we dont send off pain management and stuff because they usually dont cover thatWhat??!!They were picking and choosing what to send off to the insurance company. I couldnt believe it!!! They straight up lied to my face and said they filed everything and I paid my portion. I made the office clerk resend EVERYTHING. In the end I got a refund of almost $400 because they had tried to scam us multiple times.The work I had done there before I took my kids must have been messed up because Ive been in pain the last few weeks. Im currently looking for another dentist.I do not recommend this place. If youve had any work done here you need to make sure they show you proof that they filed everythjng with your insurance company. I feel quite confident that all of the 5 star review customers are owed money but may not know it.

BE AWARE: This clinic is a JOKE. They are very professional in deceiving their patients( Which I would give them five stars for that !) . I do not know where to begin from, the doctor s work quality is below average not to mention her rudeness. They over charged my insurance ( they did the same for my uncle).They push people to rate them after the FIRST visit and thats why you see so many five start reviews which they do not deserve at all! You see Google reviews posted in the clinic!Do not waste your time and money considering this place, there are a lot of better and honest clinics in the area.

When I first went to Shaenfield Family Dental, I was extremely nervous. I didn’t know what to expect; I remember thinking to myself, “I hope the dentist doesn’t judge me for waiting so long to get my teeth fixed.” As I opened the door, I was welcomed with open arms, from the front desk to the dental hygienist and lastly to Dr. Hasheem. Dr.Hasheem is such a fantastic dentist, and you can tell she passionate about her career. She is very straightforward, which is one of the things I love. Just a run down, I had to get three extractions, root canal, and cavity fillings. Each time I had to get work done, I couldn’t feel ANYTHING. And if I did, I would raise my left hand, and she will either switch the tool or give me more numbing cream. She never made me feel bad for speaking up. During the procedure, she will always say encouraging things like “you’re doing a great job” or “ you’re so brave.” And stuff like this made me feel at ease. I mean… who wouldn’t like that?! If you are looking for a dentist, please go to Shaenfield Family Dental! Dr. Hasheem and her team will make you excited to come back!

I had some previous dental work done and needed to have my two front teeth done to match the previous work. Dr. Hasheem matched it perfectly and did an amazing job!!!! I was happy to take my business elsewhere after 1 visit to the Shaenfield Family Dentist.I came to this practice as a new patient and on my first visit I was immediately taken to get x-rays done of my teeth. Not a big deal as I believed my insurance would cover it as no fee or conversation had taken place otherwise. I had my cleaning, everything went routine until I went to reschedule and pay. With my insurance there is no co-pay for routine cleanings and check-ups. I had to pay $80+ for the x-rays. When I asked why, I got the response of ...well that is whats due. I rescheduled for 6 months out and left very upset as I felt blind-sided by the fee.I soon found a different dentist in the local area that I am extremely happy with.I received an e-mail a week later informing me of my appointment (6 months out) with Shaenfield Family Dental. I responded to the auto-response drafted e-mail confirming it was the email address listed on their website. I listed all of the above and that the email I was sending should count towards me not being charged a late cancelation fee. In an effort to have everything in writing. I also responded to the auto texts, of which I have received which has been 5 in the last couple of weeks to cancel. Only upon calling moments ago, waiting 10 minutes on hold, going through the slew of questions with a sarcastic representative to find my appointment later this week which still showed as scheduled, was I then able to cancel my appointment and completely confirm I would not be charged an additional fee.

My experience at Sheanfield was probably the best dental experience ever had. Dr. Hasshem is very friendly and knowledgeable and my dental hygienist was very quick and gentle with my deep clean. I get severe anxiety going to the dentist and this go around I was calm and relaxed. They are a very trendy office and have reasonable pricing. It was nice not having to listen to the Beach Boys and watch midday soap operas while I got my teeth cleaned.

I need to start, by saying that for most of my life, I have suffered from a fear of dentists and dental procedures. On the day of my appointment, I was in terrible pain from a very loose tooth. I hadn’t seen a dentist in years, and I tried to “man up” for a few days beforehand thinking it would get better. I just couldn’t take it anymore, found the nearest dentist and called, explaining my situation. Much to my surprise, I got an appointment immediately. From the moment I walked into the office, I was greeted by Connie the receptionist, and was quickly put at ease regarding my upcoming appointment. She helped me with the necessary paperwork and ensured that I was comfortable while I waited. My name was called and Cindy the dental assistant, then proceeded with x-rays and making sure that I was attended to while nervously waiting for the Dr.Dr. Hasheem came in and was by far, the most compassionate and gentle dentist I have ever had the experience of knowing. My situation was pretty extreme and resulted in a rather extensive exam, followed by some serious surgery. As nervous as I was when I arrived, her soft demeanor and expert professional skills had her fully in my confidence by the time I left.There are very few dental practices which combine a wonderful dentist AND competent staff to ensure that your visit is comfortable and worry free. I would recommend her practice to anyone looking for a dentist and staff that holds the best interests of the patient at heart. I can’t express my gratitude enough. Took one of my good friends here to this doctor and honestly this office would have to be highway robbery.. with the office overcharging, when clearly my friends insurance did send her a EOB after the appointment, and this doctor did NOT honor insurance fees and made my friend pay additional offices charges. I would definitely recommend another office.

I had a couple of extractions required by my orthodontist and was in and out in 30 minutes.The office is very up to date and they have taken a lot of precautions to guard the staff and patients from COVID-19 including incorporating the ability to complete and sign forms online.I am very happy to have chosen Dr. Hasheem as my primary care dentist and think that you should too.

I would have to stay thats from the moment I walked in the reception is kind of was so nice and helpful. And as a new patient my first appointment went great.

Having not been to a dentist in 4-5 years and having a tooth that was cracked for the past 1.5 of that I was honestly terrified to have any dental work done. Dr. Hasheem was the first dentist to be straightforward with what I needed to have done no extras added in and also the first dentist who was able to completely numb me before working on my rather large cavities and broken tooth. I did not feel a thing!! The assistants were so knowledgeable and explained every step that was happening and what I would be hearing, and to top it off the front staff is wonderful too! Hands down the Best dentist not only in San Antonio, Texas but nationwide as well!!

This place is something else. I had called a friday to litterly ask if they took my insurance lady said they definitely could, I let her know I was in alot of pain, she did show compassion but told me they didnt have anything soon(appointment) so I just made the earliest appointment...the following Thursday. Anyways, Today Tuesday came around and they called me to tell me that they didnt accept my insurance after all but they had a special going on for $55 they would see me with x-rays and prescription if needed and all of a sudden they had s cancelation. So guess what?!? Yes...I went did the payment thing and got seen...took them like 45 minutes just for the so called dentist to come in for 5 minutes to tell me that I had to consider getting my frint tooth pulled out because it was becoming loose. Prescribed medication (antibiotics and Ty 3) which I specifically said I needed!! At home I have ibuprofen 500...800 and even vicodin which does NOTHING to my pain so she prescribed it. Before I left I asked for a hardcopy of what was done...the lady in front said shed email me and I was gone. Went to sort out my meds to my surprised the lady said the dentist called to cancel my pain med. So I pd for nothing but $55 for antibiotics and not even given a hardcopy of what was done to me!!! Never Again!!!!

Had a bad experience with my last dentist and heard about Shaenfield Family Dental through a coworker. Made an appointment and absolutely loved this dentist! I went in and and the staff was so nice. Even asked if I had something specific I wanted to watch on Netflix. Everything was explained to me through out the process which I really appreciated. I had a cracked filling that needed to be replaced and the dr did it SAME DAY, along with my cleaning. I even scheduled my wisdom teeth to be removed in office. Loved the Dr. over all she was very nice and genuine and made me feel at ease through the process!

Very impressed with this dental office! Having bad dental visits in the past, it was important to me to find a good local dentist. The staff are very friendly, the facility has the latest technology, and the clinic has a great system in place. Other dental clinics Ive been to have long wait times after checking in. At Shaenfield Family Dental, we hardly have to wait to get seen. The dental hygienists are highly skilled, and Dr. Hasheem is an expert at her craft. We both had to get fillings done, and Dr. Hasheem never fails to impress. The procedures were painless and quick. We no longer live in Alamo Ranch but still choose to go to Shaenfield Family Dental. Thats how much we love this clinic and the staff. Highly recommend!

It was my first time at this office today, being nervous for one of many reason: first time soon to be mom, first time going to the dentist in a while, and first time going during this whole pandemic, and all I have to say is the staff was beyond amazing helping the entire process run as smoothly as possible and making sure I felt comfortable and welcomed!! I typically never leave reviews but I couldn’t help myself here. I was in need of dental treatment. My teeth weren’t horrible, as I’ve kept them up pretty well myself, but I was way past due on getting a professional cleaning. I mean, shamefully past due...so much so that I dreaded going to the dentist. I researched quite extensively to see if there were any good dentists in the area and that’s when I stumbled upon Shaenfield Family Dental. I’ll be honest, this place has such good reviews I thought it was fake, but I thought...let’s give them a try.I called to schedule an appointment and the receptionist was super friendly. She checked to ensure my insurance was accepted by their practice and gave me numerous options for days and times.I then showed up for my appointment and was serviced in a timely fashion. I worked with Courtney and Dr. Hasheem, both did a fantastic job! They took some x-rays and concluded that I needed a deep cleaning to help get me back on track. They didn’t force it upon me, they presented me with the option and even crunched the numbers to let me know my out-of-pocket cost after insurance coverage (which never happens in my time spent in medical facilities) to let me make an informed decision. I agreed and then Courtney went to work. I admitted to her that I stayed away from the dentist for so long because my last experience was excruciating. She insured me that this would be nothing like my last experience and I can tell you it was not. Courtney did an excellent job! She spent nearly 3 hours cleaning my teeth and then Dr. Hasheem gave me a filling. All of the procedures were virtually painless at the time of administering (some slight pain ensued the next few days after but that’s to be expected, I really brought it on myself with my irresponsibility in waiting so long to go).They gave me some advice for maintenance going forward and told me I should be back to routine cleanings for upcoming visits. I already scheduled my next appointment.This is a very long-winded way of saying that this place is awesome and that the service, as well as the experience, was world-class from top to bottom. I wanted to paint a crystal clear picture for any of you out there who were like me, prolonging that dreaded trip to the dentist...do yourself a favor and give this place a call. You won’t regret it.

Great practice! They really take time to talk to you about any problems you may be having. The staff is super helpful, and Ive always been able to get through the first time I call. Highly recommend!!

Let me start out by saying I am no fan of going to the dentist BUT I love going here. Dr. Hasheem is awesome. Very professional but great at making me feel comfortable in, what for me is, a stressful environment. This is probably the best experience I have had with a dentist and all the staff is great. I really cant say enough and with all of the various work I have had done, its all been an A+ experience. 100% recommend

Dr. Hasheem has phenomenal “bedside manner”, I was extremely satisfied with the crown she replaced and in the manner of which it was done. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Do NOT go to Laith Family Dentistry down the street from them. I’ve never had a worse experience in my life. I am so thankful Dr. Hasheem EASILY fixed the crown that was previously placed.

This was was my first visit here and the staff was incredibly friendly. The Dentist and Hygienist did an amazing job with a tooth extraction. No pain during procedure and none afterwards. This is definitely going to be my families new Dentist.

Staff is very friendly and made me feel comfortable. At some dentists, I felt as though the cleaning was rushed. I felt SFD took pride in being thorough and making sure I was happy/satisfied with their work.

I have found my dentist!! Dr. Hasheem is wonderful, attentive and thorough. Her staff is equally amazing: patient, compassionate and funny. Our kiddo was complaining of some tooth pain, and being new to the area we did not have a dentist yet. Impressed with the reviews, I called up Shaenfield Family Dental and they were able to get her in later the same day, which was completely amazing. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming and treated my daughter so wonderfully. They have televisions set up in the room to offer a great distraction for the little ones. It was overall a fantastic experience and Im happy to say weve found our local dentist now!

Everyone there is super nice and is always friendly to talk to. They also play Netflix on duel TV’s so the visit doesn’t really feel like the doctors.

I had a very good experience here. Today was my first visit and I was greeted at the front by Jennifer with a beautiful warm smile. She had all my insurance information done and was very helpful and pleasant. Dr. Hasheem addressed all my needs and explained everything easy for me to understand. She was funny and made my visit fun. The technicians were very sweet and made it a point that I was comfortable and pain free. I will definitely refer this office to my friends and family.

Made an appointment for my little ones just days before Christmas 🎄 the front desk was able to squeeze us in last minute! We can’t wait for their appointment what a Christmas miracle!!

I have not had many experiences where I left a dentist and felt skeptical or traumatized. That changed here! The dentist was so friendly and kind. She had a great energy and so did the other staff. I actually left this place smiling. I highly reccomend this as a individual who hashad her share of poor dental experiences. And has been taken advantage of at other dental clinics... 5 stars+!

Great experience! I have a fear of getting my teeth touched and having the little metal poker thing touching my teeth!! She made me feel so comfortable so didn’t hurt me not one bit!I’ve had a very bad experience where the oral anesthesia wore of within 30 mins of putting it on! I felt everything and more!They did the numbing and it lasted even 1 hr after my tooth extraction!Very pleased with my visit! They got me in same day and did my procedure same day as well! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to everyone!

Moved to the area about a year ago. Hated to leave my amazing, miracle worker dentist, but the distance is just too much. I finally decided to look for a dentist in my new location. I found Dr Hasheem’s website among many others. I liked what I saw, and decided to give her a try. I have to say that the staff is amazing. Very professional and friendly environment. Stacy (I believe was her name-Hygienist) was amazing. I had an emergency dental issue with one of my veneers which I’ve had for 15 years, so I was a little skeptical to have another dentist work on my smile 😉. Dr Hasheem, and her team are very confident that they will give me the exact same Colgate smile 😉with a crown vs a veneer. She managed to convince me, so I am booked for a crown vs a veneer That would have been twice the price and 5 times the distance with my other dentist. I’m giving a 5 star right now because they were quick to get me in to assess my situation, friendly and professional staff all around, lobby is cute with refreshments, everything looked nice and clean (but I only saw the front and one treatment room),dentist was fast to evaluate me after the hygienist did her thing and I was not waiting for 30+ minutes as I do with my other dentist, she evaluated me and came up with a solution. I am used to having multiple options in situations that require a tad bit of finances but No big deal. Her confidence that this is the best option for me makes things a tad bit easier than me having to make a decision. Stay tune for before and after 😁😉.

Dr Hasheem is a great dentist. This was our first time and my kids love her very much. The office was clean and personal was very attentive and nice. I recommend Dr. Hasheem to everybody. Great place! Thank you again taking care of all of us❤️
