Came here at the start of March for the promotional cleaning and exam. Ended up with a treatment plan for a fancier cleaning, because I was told I needed it, and also multiple fillings. Had to come in a few times to have all of the treatments done as they only will work on one side at a time. Kept having issues with one of the fillings and also was starting to have hot and cold sensitivity throughout my mouth which I didn’t have before I came in. After coming in for the fourth time to have the filling fixed and finding no relief I was referred to an affiliated Endontist for a second opinion. Before I had even seen that doctor I was already being shown the payment details for a root canal when I was supposed to just be coming for a free consult. The doctor did a quick exam and immediately said I was going to be needing a root canal. I’ve never had a root canal before in my life and was nervous and also disappointed that a filling gone wrong turned into a root canal! After telling Dr. Hernandez about the consult, she let me know I would be needing a crown after I got the root canal done. They showed me pricing and on top of the $2,000 I had already paid for the treatment plan I was going to have to pay another $900 for the root canal and about the same for the the crown replacement. So in total I was looking at a total of close to $3500 for dental work when I just came in for a basic cleaning. When I explained this to the doctor, it was determined I would get a courtesy discount on the crown but would not get any help with the root canal. My mouth has not felt better a single day since coming here since March, it’s July now.I decided to get another opinion from a dentist who has been in business for over 30 years. After taking X-rays and an exam that dentist was able to determine that I didn’t even need a root canal as my nerve wasn’t damage but simply a bite adjustment was all that was needed.This office was trying to have me get a root canal done when I didn’t even need one. I was so upset. I will never be going back here. The only reason they don’t get one star is because the people here were friendly.

The team at Potranco Dentistry opened their doors yesterday to treat patients in the West San Antonio community. Dr. Hernandez and her team are excited to offer modern dental care including CEREC (same day crowns) to help her patients become happier and healthier. The office is in a great location near HEB, Chick-fil-A and Orange Theory with a great view of Sea World.

My husband first starting seeing Dr. AJ when he was still with Familia Dental. My husband had a bad experience with the Familia branch in Amarillo and we decided to see Dr. AJ in San Antonio and we are so glad we did! Dr. AJ fixed the problems on my husbands teeth that were caused by the previous dentist. Dr. AJ did a great job. So much so that we decided he would be our dentist. My husband has seen Dr. AJ several times over the last several years. This past weekend we made a trip to San Antonio because my husbands bridge had popped off. We were sad that Dr. AJ was no longer with Familia Dental but quickly were relieved to know he has his own practice; Potranco Dentistry and is still in San Antonio.Dr. AJ got my husbands bridge back in place and did great work. He is so good we drive from Amarillo to see him! And his staff is very friendly! If you are looking for a dentist, give Potranco Dentistry a try...you wont be sorry that you did.

Came in as a new patient for a cleaning as per my dental plan that will cover two a year. I was instead given a four phase dental care financial arrangement. Potranco Dentistry exploits your insurance and/or the patient. They want you to come in four times a year, and they will spread whatever dental care needs done to ensure that you do. I was never given a cleaning just ushered out since I would not agree to their deceitful terms for thousands of dollars (see pic). We are all coming out of hard times with Covid-19 behind us, but this is no way to recoup your lost revenue. I do not recommended Potranco Dentistry.

Best dentist Ive ever been to! Front desk, hygienist, and dentist were all prompt, patient, friendly, and accommodating. I had a thorough exam when my previous dentist would barely look in my mouth. The dentist is also very bubbly and personable! My insurance was taken here and everything was covered. My cleaning was also great and I had no issues afterwards. What a great spot. Thank you!

The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Every time I come in Im treated like family.

This was my first visit at Potranco Dentistry and I was more than satisfied with my services! I felt comfortable and well taken care of. I even feel that each individual made a personal connection with me as a patient. The atmosphere was more friendly than just a typical strictly professional dental visit. My family will continue to come here for all of our dental needs.

Staff is wonderful, Dr. Hernandez is great. My husband gets extremely anxious at the dentist and they were wonderful with accommodating him and trying to put him at ease. Ashreen did a great job on both of our cleanings. We have finally found our dentist after trying three other locations prior.

This dental office is the office for me. Normally I dread going to get my teeth checked, but Dr. Hernandez and her team made this easy and fast. I was able to get a full exam, x rays ( my least favorite part) and my cleaning all in one appointment. The doctor was constantly to checking to make sure I was comfortable and understood everything. I can not wait for my check up. Smooth teeth is an amazing feeling. If your looking for some place to get your teeth worked on this is the place for you.

My husband just went in to get an idea of cost and ended up getting treatment right then and the next day as well. We were amazed at how knowledgeable and heartwarming the whole staff at the facility was and that is something you don’t find often. This is definitely going to become our home dental place.

This one is for you Dr. Impink, as I mentioned I don’t usually do these things, but my exit was as easy as the appointment. Not one for going to the dentist, but for the first time I was met with information and options that fit my life and budget! Thanks for being honest, and making me feel welcomed, but most of all for being patient, and giving me my smile back. Great place, great service!

An old filling I received from my previous dentist recently fell out and, having heard good things about Dr. Impink-Hernandez, decided I would give Potranco Dentistry a try. Living in the DeZavala and I-10 area, it was definitely a drive, but totally worth it. Walking in the front door, Jake (the Office Manager) was super attentive and got me quickly squared away for my appointment. I hardly waited at all when I was called back to do my x-rays. The Assistant who worked with me was very knowledgeable and thorough (Im kicking myself that I cant remember her name). And of course Dr. Impink-Hernandez was every bit as great as I had heard she was! I could tell there was genuine care for my specific needs and no hidden sales agenda. She gave me a bunch good insight into habits I need to change and filled my tooth quickly and flawlessly in that same visit! Super happy with their set up, as a whole, as the team is great and their building/equipment all looks to be brand new. I definitely will keep going and have my follow-ups already scheduled. I highly recommend!

I went to Protranco Dentistry and I would recommend this place to anyone who needs dental work. They made me feel very comfortable and they made me feel like my dental health was their priority. The dentist was extremely very caring about the way I felt and I recieved constant detail explanations about what was needed to correct my dental issues.
