I have seen Dr. Mooney for years. Everyone at Alamo Family and Cosmetic Dentistry is so friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good dentist. Over the years Dr. Mooney and his staff have taken great care of me and made good recommendations to take care of my teeth. I live over an hour away and will continue to come here because it is worth it!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful (unlike another place I called that couldnt answer any of my questions...). The hygienist did a thorough job of cleaning my teeth and answering all of my questions. I will be going back and I have already scheduled my next appointment.

As soon as I walked in I felt welcomed. The receptionist is very kind as well as the finance lady. I sat down for maybe 5 minutes, then the hygienist brought me to the back. She is very knowledgeable, a great teacher, and so nice! She made me feel so comfortable. The Doctor then came in and guess what? He’s nice too! Dr.Mooney is also kind and knowledgeable and takes time to answer any questions. This was seriously the best visit that I have had at a dentist in my entire life. I have found my forever dentist!

Very clean and welcoming environment. The time I was called back to be seen was 10 min from my 2:00 PM appointment. The dental hygienist was super sweet and explained in detailed anything I had questions too. Dr. Mooney was super knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. I have always loved going to the dentist since i was a kid. i had a really amazing dentist growing up. Now that i have 2 children i want them to experience the same i did. Dr Mooney is AMAZING. This was my first trip to the dentist in a very very long time because I was terrified of them. I found them online and they offered everything I needed from the info on their website so I took a chance. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. They made my first trip back to the dentist very comfortable and made me wish I had gone there sooner. During any procedure they’ve always made sure I was comfortable and check up on you frequently. I’ve had a few cleanings and a route canal and didnt experience any pains during either. No matter how bad your oral hygiene is they will get you on the right path in just a few short visits and not make you feel bad about it. I will definitely being going back and recommend them. Their customer service from check in to procedures is awesome!

My whole family has been seeing Dr. Mooney and the friendly staff at Alamo for almost 7 years now. After moving into the outskirts of the city, we still drive all the way to the one and only dentist we trust. They have always shown such outstanding hospitality and are very straightforward with their recommendations regarding dental procedures and at-home care. We will never go to another dentist’s office as long as we are in San Antonio.

I absolutely love this office and staff! I had a filling pop out of my tooth on a Saturday morning and needed a dentist asap that took my insurance. I called the office and they were able to set me up that same day. I am a graduate student and usually wait until I return home to PA for my dental appointments, but since being seen at Alamo Family Dental, I have made them my full time dentist and have now had 2 cleanings with them. They are fantastic and so friendly!! I highly recommend them!

I had an extremely painful toothache last year and because I was new to San Antonio I hadn’t found a dentist at that time. I consulted with a friend and she referred me to Dr. Mooney at Alamo Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. I ended up needing a root canal. Keep in mind this was my first root canal, and though I’ve had numerous fillings, I was hesitant (and a scared) of the procedure. Dr. Mooney reassured me that the procedure would be smooth and I wouldn’t experience any pain. He was a man of his word because he was extremely gentle and thorough…he explained every step of the procedure. I left that day knowing I had found my new dentist and since then I’ve needed a filling and another root canal, but this time around I had no doubt I was in good hands. Also, a shout out to Jeanette and the hygienists, who are always so helpful and amazing! With this said, my experience has been excellent and I would most certainly recommend Alamo Family and Cosmetic Dentistry to friends and family.

I have been coming here several years now and I am really happy with the service and the stuff is so friendly and nice I surely recommend coming here, now my kiddos even come here for a cleaning and they leave really happy with their little bag that has everything for you to keep your teeth nice and clean.

The cosmetic change that has occurrred in just 7 months, which included braces was just amazing. Dr Mooney really stands behind, and puts his all, into his work. Most important is his bedside manner. Wish I could rate this no stars. The dentist I saw there would not help me or offer treatment options and fought with me over whether or not I should get antibiotics for a bacterial mouth infection. When she did finally prescribe the antibiotics were described by another dentist as something you would give to a child- Im a 23 year old woman. Due to the negligence shown I had to see an emergency dentist due to my face swelling and the antibiotics having not worked because they were for a /child./ I will not be coming back here again nor do I recommend anyone else to do so- not even leaving a good review when they give you incentive by free Starbucks gift card.
