I have been coming here for years to see Teresa. And she always always does an amazing job on my nails. Shes always smiling and friendly and makes me feel welcome.My mom has recently started to come with me and see Helen and Helen always does a good job on her nails and making her feel welcome and comfortable as well. Definitely recommend this place. 🙂

Great service here. The woman who did my pedicure was so sweet and patient with me. I was indecisive. My toes came out beautifully and my feet feel soooooooo good. The woman who did my full set was not so nice. She wasnt mean either. She was just in a hurry and I felt pressured by her. She hardly spoke to me and pushed my hands aside instead of communicating to me to move my hand. But my nails came out great and I left a satisfied customer. Which is why I gave them 5 stars. I will be going back and I would recommend.

This place is so expensive for fills, she did such a horrible job over lapping the polish with my cuticles! Horrible job Im sorry I usually give credit to the ones that do a great job. Will not pretend this place is good I will never go back! Still gave a tip on top of the horrible job. Lesson learned will stick to my usual place didnt feel like driving so far, but wont think twice next time!

The service was great. They offered water and followed sanitation protocols during my service. The chairs wasnt all broke down and ugly-looking! The pedicurist took her time and followed directions well. Ill be back!

As you can see the tech I had didn’t know what she was doing or she was just being lazy and didn’t clip off the loose bits of nail and now I have a beautiful green fungus growing on my nail bed. I watched her laziness and should have walked away unfinished but I let her keep going. I will not be going back here ever! Awful place! Gross and nasty fungus givers!

A friend recommended this place.. rest is history. The service is quick. I take my daughter which they treat her so kind. As soon as I step in the mall its right there. I dont have to run into the whole mall.

Horrible experience, some big hispanic lady did my nails, she kept tugging my hand and arm, I was not even moving, lol... Not to mention she kept layering nail polish not giving it time to dry inbetween. Have been to many salons no issue with regular nail polish before. Just her horrible technique I guess. She would hurt me while drilling my nails so I would react and her response instead of sorry was whats wrong with you?! ... Oookay whatever. Rushed work. Didnt tip. Good thing I didnt since the nail polish just glided off, even with an hour of drying them with a fan.

I had the worst experience here. Never again I will come here. Nail polishes were all old and barely had any paint in it. I decided to do wax. Another horrible experience, the lady had no idea how to wax and someone walked in to the room. No privacy at all. I explained to the manager what happened but all she said sorry I should have done it for you. Very painful waxing experience and someone walked in. I wouldnt come here.

Theresa did an excellent job on my powder dip nails. Plus she waxed my eyebrows and they were the best Ive ever had them. She kept them thick how I like them and work around my car accident scar that makes it a little harder to make my eyebrows even. She nailed it!

Went there for the first time today and I am NEVER going back. They didn’t give me what I asked for and what they did give me is TERRIBLE quality. There’s still old red polish on my nails! They used dirty tools to do my nails and the nail tech was on her phone while doing my nails. There was a huge miscommunication regarding the price, and what I received is nowhere near what I should’ve paid. Horrible quality and service.

By far the worst pedicure I have ever received. Usually the more you upgrade the longer massage you get. Well my 45 dollar pedicure got me a whole maybe 3 min massage. Nails not cleaned underneath. Now that Im in the sunlight nails wernt painted correctly and crooked. My skin on bottom looks like its peeling . They all seem in total rush and just trying to get the next quick buck

Got a manicure. Polish peeled off in less than a week. Asked for a simple design on my nails and walked out with way too many imperfections that a toddler could’ve fixed.

I had nail powder and they didn’t set the powder right on my nails. The powder colors would still get on my cloths after weeks I got my nails done. The colors also stayed on nails permanently. Polish remover from a professional nail salon could not remove them nor file them off because the color were directly on my real nail. Please don’t go there because it’s at the mall.

IM IN LOVEEE !!!! I showed Cindy T. a picture of what I wanted and I got what I asked for!! I’m in love with them, no questions asked! It was a last minute trip to the salon before prom day, and I left vv satisfied! Not to mention my eyebrows, girrl I’m not going to any other nail salon anymore after this💝

I had the BEST experience here! I unfortunately didnt get the name of the wonderful ladies who did my nails for my wedding a few weeks ago, but I went in with my maid of honor and my mom and we all got great service!It was my first time getting a pedicure and I was nervous about it but it was AMAZING! I then got my nails done too and they came out so beautiful, the ladies were talking with us and super friendly! I will be back for sure!

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I waited for over an hour. They helped 3 or 4 girls before even acknowledging me, even though I put my name on the sign in sheet. I ended up leaving without getting my nails done. Will not try getting them done there again. I would do a zero star review but I dont think itll let me

My nails look nice until I left. The lights were so dim you Can barely tell the dents in your nails w/acrílico since all the gel polish has glitter. After leaving and seeing my nails in the light I see all these little dents and lines from the polish.I don’t know if the polish was just old or what but it just looks washed down from its original color.

Went in for valentine nails that were supposed to be red matte with one white and a heart on it, they gave me no red matte and my heart was nothing like the one I wanted in picture just for her to say she isn’t good at drawing and everyone was too busy to ask . Overpriced came with a friend. We got here I checked on her a HOUR after my pedicure was done and they had her sitting with the tips of the nails on they didn’t even start to FILL. She said she was waiting a hour they stopped her nails to do someone’s eyebrows even though they were many employees sitting around.

I’ve been going to Kim for years now and she has never let my nails down. She’s the absolute best. I show her a picture and she gets it done with ease. Reasonably priced and the ladies are so nice!

Poor customer service. Lady that started to do my nails but did not finish took 15-20 minutes to simply remove the shellac from my acrylics while I watched a lady named Kim do a full out gorgeous fill next to me in that same amount of time... then when she realized I was getting irritated with the uncoordination of her hands she told me to sit at a different table and wait for someone better. After waiting ten minutes I ask if they were gonna have someone tend to me they said yes but here I am 20 minutes later still dont have any acrylic applied to my poorly cleaned nails. Currently waiting on Kim the lady that did a fill in literally 15 minutes... I dont recommend this salon to anyone if you do go here ask for Kim. No one else looks worth sitting down with.Matter fact forget Kim. Walked out with my nails looking like this

The worst acrylic nails I’ve ever gotten they ruined my wedding nails I was very persistent that I wanted my nails to look like a photo I brought, they swore they would be able to execute when I didn’t get anything close I am embarrassed of this set. Employees we NOT wearing face masks and it is very clear cleanliness even during a pandemic is not being taken seriously.

The guy who did my nails got the acrylic all over my cuticles and I was thinking surely he’s gonna wipe it off but NO he let it harden and it hurt like hell to peel off! I asked for Stiletto and I ended up with a mix between almond and stiletto, and my nails aren’t all the same length. Some look sloppy too !Not the worst experience but it definitely shouldn’t hurt to get your nails done like that 🙄

My experience here has always been pretty good. I’ve been here multiple times to get my eyebrows waxed and it’s always very quick and done very nicely. I got my nails done here once for a special occasion and it was quite nice. The nail tech I had knew what she was doing and made me feel very comfortable since it was my first time having my nails done. She was also very friendly and talking to me and my mother during the process.

Theresa is the absolute best at providing detailed requested services. She is professional, attentive, patient and caring. She delivers great massages and is sensitive to my needs. I’ll be back soon!Thanks Theresa....

I had been looking for a new nail place for a while. My boyfriend took me here to get a new set for Valentine’s Day and I recently went back for a fill. First I went with Cindy and the next time was with Jenny and I have to say I just loved them both. They do some good, natural looking nails and the polish job is good too. I had done some cat eye and now a matted color and both got me many compliments. The customer service was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back!

Never going to go back to this salon. The lady was very nice but did a horrible job. Some of my toes weren’t painted fully. I just wanted a traditional pink & white ombré coffin shaped nails and I didn’t notice it at first since I needed to be somewhere but they’re weren’t even blended right or even at all.I thought I found a good place but I guess not

I recently visited this salon and was extremely disappointed! I called ahead because I was treating my 5 year old daughter for her first mani pedi. When we got there although the salon was empty no one could figure out what to do with us. After finally getting seated they were very hesitant on providing the services I requested I don’t know if it was because of my daughters age, which is why I called ahead, or if they simply didn’t think I could afford the service. When it came to our manicure, I requested a full set with a specific design. The women who did my feet did not communicate the request to the women that did my nails. Needless to say I did not get what I wanted and the manicure I got was horrible!! They did not cut, push back, care for my cuticles so now I have a semi fresh looking full set and cuticles that look like trash. Over all I was extremely disappointed on the way I was treated and the service provided. Will never go back. Also there tools did not look clean or sanitary. Save your money

Mollie is The One in a Million nail tech. I am very meticulous about my nails. Ive been to the fit for a queen and the easy on the pocketbook nail salons, all with the same end result of bad nail products and service. Until I found Mollie at Avalon, she is by far the best nail tech Ive met. She takes her time and if she notices anything wrong, she automatically fixes the nail without the client asking. Ive recommended Mollie to all my friends and colleagues. Mollie is Extraordinary.

I saw they had eyebrow threading and my usual eyebrow lady was off so I went in to give it a chance. Nancy was terrible. I’ve threaded my eyebrows plenty of times and this was the worst. I’m so mad that I wasted 22$... which I can’t believe they charged me 10$ for my upper lip... I usually get it done for 5$! I told her there are hairs still there that she missed and she didn’t understand me! The lighting was terrible. So When I got home I took a look in my mirror and it’s like nothing was done!!!!! Never EVER again going back.

One of the best places in San Antonio! I was reluctant to go to a mall location because of the rap that they get. I got my nails done a week ago, and I already need a fill they are lifting and when I’m doing hair they get stuck. I tried a new place because my nail tech was booked. Won’t try this place again.

This was my first time here, as soon as I walked in receptionist was very friendly, nail salon was very clean and beautiul. The products they used were amazing, trust and believe when I tell you they dont use the cheap stuff. Nancy did my pedicure and eyebrow wax she does and awsome job, very friendly and kept me laughing, Mark did my nails they turned out beautiful, he also was very friendly and kept me laughing as well. This is my go to spot from now on

I went to get an ombré starting blue. She instead did a pink and that’s specifically what I didn’t ask for. She did good but was not listening at all. She made the two fingers that were supposed to be clear with butterflies very foggy. She was snatching my hand a lot . I do not recommend going there.

At first I enjoyed going here to get my eyebrows waxed. The turning point was when I was cut by scissors when getting my eyebrows waxed. The lady was rushing as they always do and cut me. After that I didn’t return. Before then I would alway be pinched by the tweezers, so I asked them to not tweeze. This was the last straw. If they would just slow down a little and take a bit more time all that can be pretty much avoidable.

I had a good experience with this salon! I wanted a hot stone and wax pedicure but I wanted shellac full set too. I was short on time and the nail technicians were more than accommodating by allowing my pedicure and nails to be done at the same time. They said if any time I come in, I need to be out by a certain time, tell them ahead of time and it will be done! However, dont get half way done and then tell them you needed to be gone by a certain time but still want something else too. It is inconsiderate to blame the salon for being thorough and not being given a notice of a time limit.

THIS IS MY 1ST TIME BEING HERE AND FURTHERMORE ONCE THE 1ST LADY SEEN HOW LONG I WANTED THEM AND WHAT STYLE, IF SHE COULDNT DO IT SHE SHOULD HAVE PASSED ME ALONG IMMEDIATELY. THE WORSE EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD IN A NAIL SHOP AND WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. THEY DIDNT HAVE A PROBLEM OVERCHARGING ME. NOW I HAVE TO PAY SOMEBODY ELSE TO FIX THEIR MESS UP. STEER CLEAR OF THIS SHOP...

I bought a groupon and scheduled an appointment for the first weekend in November. When I arrived, they told me they lost my appointment in the system because of a staff change, so they rescheduled me TODAY. (6 weeks later.) I go today, and they say their nail tech doesn’t arrive until noon (I had a 10am appointment). They even called to confirm the appointment! If you’re trying to get your nails done, don’t bother and good luck. They didn’t even offer me any type of consolation for wasting my time. Twice.

The only nail technician I like is Mollie, shes the best . Takes her time and recommends beautiful colors. You dont feel like shes rushing to get to the next customer like others. Ive had to use 2 different technicians when Mollie wasnt available. I had the shellac nails done and they are suppose to last at least 2 weeks, they barely lasted one week. If you want them to last, ask for MOLLIE.

I asked for nothing but a manicure with and nail buffing because I do not like polish on my nails. The lady began putting clear polish on my nails and I asked her again for buffer only and she told me clear polish is better and continued.I do not like polish (even clear) because Im very active and it chips quickly and I do not like the state of my nails once it begins to chip.They may know nails, but I know whats best for me and I dont like my request to be ignored...especially when Im paying for it!!!

She finally decided to get her nails done and when called up to get them done, the guy starts working on her right hand, and midways tells her that he won’t be able to do her left hand. He doesn’t even try to do her left hand he just slapped on some gel polish and sent her on her way. Y’all should be shut down for discriminating! You should be ashamed of your self! Btw if you delete my review I will make more profiles and post it again. Let the people see what kind of a business y’all are.

Im writing this review to hopefully help the next person out as much as I can and to give as much information as I can. Unfortunately a lot of it is not very positive but this is why we do reviews. Just to say the facts. Walking in and being greeted was pleasing. Everybody was very nice and I have nothing bad to say as far as etiquette is concerned. But in this kind of environment health is a huge issue especially when it comes to those that have weakened immune systems or just any kind of medical or skin issues. Almost every nail file that was pulled out to file my nails I noticed already had white powdery residue on it. In other words it had already been used on another client and had not been properly cleaned and disinfected. Especially the little file drill bits that go on the drill for acrylic nails. I kept making a comment to the guy doing my nails and he initially didnt seem to quite understand what the problem was. Then, he put the one back that he was about to use for the drill and grabbed another one right next to it that looked cleaner and just wiped it off with a paper towel. If Im not mistaken, Texas law states that all files are to be properly cleaned and disinfected according to stated proper procedure after every client. Includes files for the drill, blocks, or the acrylic nail files. As I was observing the patterns and procedures performed by technicians, I noticed that in between clients I did not see them get up to wash their hands or even use hand sanitizer to begin work on a new client. They seem very in a hurry just to get the next client in the seat and they would just wipe down their stations with a paper towel or just dust it off versus actually sanitizing or cleaning properly and getting it nice and neat and healthy for the next client. There was still a lot of nail dust and just dust in general on a lot of the work area. I didnt see that metal tools were disinfected between clients. I saw same nail clippers, cuticle nippers, etc being used on next client after only maybe being wipe down not actually disinfected. At one point while at the pedicure station, I noticed that after getting my heels scrubbed with the callus scrubber pumice, it was rinsed off in my pedicure water and then placed in a folded paper towel under the footstool instead of back in the drawer or back into a disinfectant liquid. So I thought that was weird. I also noticed that the place seems to be very unorganized. When I asked to see shellac and gel colors they bring it in the basket with the samples all jumbled up. As far as quality the work: if you happen to be getting acrylic or solar with gel, and you have petite or narrow fingers and hands, or you are just the type of person that likes your nails to look as natural as possible dont expect this to be done by most of the people there. I not only studied my nails after they were done but I also saw other peoples nails getting done and I noticed the same pattern throughout. Nails too wide, too thick, etc. I would post a pic but unfortunately my nails did not last long at all. I got them done there about 6 days ago and one by one they just slowly started lifting and coming off. I am going somewhere else to get them redone today. I know my review is a little long. But hopefully I gave useful information. I do not post this review with any malice toward the salon or anyone working there whatsoever. I was treated nicely. But I feel that it was necessary for any future clients and hopefully the salon to be made aware of several health code violations that will hopefully be taken care of for everybodys well-being. As far as the quality and the talent.. to each theyre own! 😄 Take care everyone!

I went in for a pedicure & full set with my daughter on Saturday, it wasn’t busy we waited 5 minutes for service which wasn’t bad. The pedicure prices start off at 40 normally 25 at any other salon, cool no complaints, until i was actually in the chair. I expected a $40 worth pedicure instead i got someone that didn’t massage my legs just put on lotion, the whole time she was talking to her neighbor right next to her it was awful. When it was time for my set they had me wait to dry my toes but after they dried i continued to wait and eventually left after 20 minutes because we had an event to go to. When i got home i had to redo the shaping of my toe nails because the girl that did them, did them all slanted. I went to a wedding reception later on and got home and the nail polish was already coming off. Waste of money!! Never going back!

Not a fan. First Mani/pedi and in addition to be served a glass of wine from the gloved hand of the lady who was just scrubbing a strangers feet, I also received nail fungus on my toe. Never had nail fungus before. Only positive was the massage chair you rest in.

Run! You will occasionally get a good tech and a good job done. But mostly no. Its dirty, unprofessional and most the ladies have no business doing this. I guess they just use the power Sanders on nails now to easily get previous shellac or gel polish off but they shaved so far down into my nails they have deep ridges in them and are painful to the touch in some areas. Ill have to wait at least a month to get them done again. Not to mention for over $100 my toes and fingers started chipping the very next day.Theres no accountability or standards from anyone. Idk how the health department hasnt shut them down Ive seen cleaner construction sites.DONT GO HERE.

This nail salon is terrible! Ive gotten my nails done since 10th grade. I am 35, so I know good nails when I see them and bad nails as well. After 1 week my nails lifted to the point of falling off. The full set was awful and looked bumpy. The polish job was even worse. I had to try to fix my nails on my own it was so bad! I do not recommend this place unless you go to the owner Jenny! She is the only that does a pretty good job.

I asked for a shellac manicure. As soon as I got to my car I saw stroke lines from the nail polish brush on my nails. I’ve never seen such a bad paint job for a shellac manicure before. The polish started chipping the next day and the tips of my nails were fading within 24 hours. 3 days later most of the paint chipped off. I’m positive the nail tech used standard nail polish instead of the shellac. A complete waste of money.
