Never been here before but decided to take the leap since my other barber was really booked for a whole month in advance. Let me tell you this place is chill. Love that everyone has their own personality and not acting like a robot just trying to cut your hair and make money. I also got a somewhat new style as well, so it might have been a tough request since no one has ever messed my hair at this place before lol But they did a fantastic job. Love my new cut and will be coming back for sure.

Came in thinking about getting a trim up after 3 weeks of vacation riding my Harley so I was pretty scruffy. They taught me how to take care of my beard and hair better. Had a haircut & beard makeover. Looks and feels So much better. Can feel my skin under my beard tingling and clean after a beard wash and trim. Thanks for being so helpful.

Very professional and skillful barbers. Ross is a magician with the razor. Hot towel face wrap with precision shave. After serving 20 plus years in the military and being stationed all across the US this is easily top 3 barbershop Ive ever been to.

I talked with the guys here about my beard.. they had lots of great advice and were super cool. I will be going here soon to have my beard shaped and cleaned up. Great atmosphere.

Martin was amazing, very professional, and did an excellent job in cutting and styling my hair. The wow factor for me was the beard trim and shaping. Ive never had the straight razor used on my neck or face, what a difference in how close and clean it looks. The hot towels were very relaxing. He explained everything to my satisfaction, and in a way that was easy to understand. Urban City has a great line of amazing beard products, and after seeing the affects first hand, I bought the whole kit. My beard now looks amazing, will definitely be back again.

The bald fade was good the scissors for the comb over wasn’t good on the back of my head I have hair standing up like it’s a under cut

Hair was great the only problem was with appointment it’s good business and a courtesy to always give customers at least 15 minutes from appointment time, I called an hour ahead of time but was made to feel like they were doing me a favor, we made it 2 minutes late and it was mentioned to me when paying. Don’t know if I’ll go back I drove from out of town and had 2 back to back appointments that totaled 100.00 for a young boy I was charged extra 10.00 I was told cause his hair was long mind u it was over his ears but the back was about inch and a half on neck not even close to shoulders I felt nickel and dimed I’ve never been charged extra cause their hair was grown out. Make sure u ask cause u don’t want to be surprised about an extra here or there. Other than that I loved the haircut but don’t think I’ll be back. I gave 4 star for haircut but customer service I would give a 2

We stopped in on a whim to fix a bad haircut on my 3 year old. My husband decided since we were there already, to get a cut and beard trim. What amazing service! Franco did the cuts for both and was just so great. He really made my 3 y/o feel special and everyone was so nice. They didnt even care we just showed up!!Definitely coming back!

Martin did an excellent job on my hair. They prefer appointments, however they took me as a walk in. Treated me like a VIP. Great conversation, price was amazing for the service provided. Ill definitely be going back,and will recommend this place to all my friends.

Ive been going to these guys for a few years now and they are always on point. No matter what barber I get, if I dont request someone, I always come out looking great. If you want a perfect cut--go to these guys. Period. They also have top-notch hair products.

I think they had great customer service and both the guys cutting hair were very friendly. I asked for a combover and what I got was pretty bad. I initially did not see the bad haircut because of the pomade that was used to style my hair, but as soon as I got home to wash it out I noticed the really bad scissor cut I was given. Its unfortunate since I left feeling good but the haircut was definitely not worth what I paid.

I hadn’t cut my hair in 6 months and was ready for a GOOD haircut. J LO cut my hair and spent so much time on it, perfecting it and being gentle on the sensitive beard areas. The one thing I got out of this shop that was unique was the hair education. They answered tons of my questions about shampooing conditioning, balding, thinning, growing hair back, options etc I’ve never been educated like that before!

Ross and the rest of the staff are incredible! Always happy with the time Ross takes to perfectly trim my beard and mustache. Highly recommend!

They require an appointment but when your time comes they get you seated quickly the barbers are friendly and good at their work everything is kept clean and normally you can see them wipe the seat down just before/after you sit.

The staff are very light hearted joking and playing during the whole visit. Very professional. I got a beard cut and hair cut and it came out fantastic. Definitely recommend!

This barbershop is hands down the best I’ve been to in San Antonio. The barbers are great guys. Know how to make you feel welcomed. Making sure you’re good with what you get before they even make a cut. They are pro military which is always great to see businesses support our service men and women. Martin is the barber I see and he has hooked me up multiple times with a killer fade for my undercut. Got so many compliments on it. Hit this place up. You won’t regret it.

Great place just missed a few spots on me and had an allergic reaction to the shampoo, condition, or the oil that they put on my beard. So I had to shave it off and hopefully regrow my beard back after it heals.

The staff was great. Good clean cut and fade. Franco was very nice and welcoming.

I searched high and low and did my research before chopping all my hair from my shoulders to a taper fade and scissor cut on top. This was the best experience as a female cutting off all my hair. The manager was amazing he called me before my appointment and make me feel so comfortable and I was less nervous walking through those doors. Then I meet my Barber Ross and man he explained everything to me and made me feel like a million bucks walking out that door. I got some great products from there shop and they even are helping me with the thinning of my hair. I walked in with a hat and I walked out with no hat, I felt so good n got so many compliments. I would only trust this shop in the future. They are super clean and very professional and everyone is so nice n friendly. If I could give ten stars i would. Highly recommend for the short haired females of the LGBTQ community!The BEST barber shop I’ve ever been too. The owner and all the guys in the shop make it a mission to provide awesome cuts all in a chill environment open to everyone. As a female with a fade I’ve gotten some weird looks walking into predominantly male shops, making my experience uncomfortable and just awkward, not something willing to return to. These guys, and my man Jason at station #6, just want to give you that good cut and conversation that keeps you coming back for more.

Juan is a badass Rock Star made me look 10 years younger with sculpting my beard and showing me the products I should be using.

Went to this shop after I had a botched cut from another barber and Urban City delivered in all aspects. Juan called me to confirm my appointment and even gave me directions and advice on how to get there. Ross gave me an insane haircut that was over my expectations. Not only was the haircut great, the atmosphere was also a mix of modern and the OG barbershop style. All the barbers were super cool and and had real conversations with me and their clients. Great as always, I got there early and Martin was ahead of schedule and added a beard service to my cut and razor fade great customer service and business as usual very satisfied.

My fiancé has been a client of this shop for 2 plus years and WILL NOT go anywhere else! (And I wouldn’t want him to either!) Our 7 year old son now comes here as well.The appointments are scheduled seamlessly so he never has to wait and is never rushed for his haircut or beard service. Ramon and the other barbers are equipped with skill sets that are unmatched by any other shop in the San Antonio area. This business is family owned and ran with professionalism, respect and love of their clientele and it shows. We love Urban City!!

They close later then other barbershops which is rare in San Antonio. I got taper fade and beard close shave. I would go again.

I had a messed up experience from a previous barber, these guys fixed it up and got me good deals on the best product to make me look my best for a wedding. Easy touch up but most professional crew Ive ever witnessed.

Man! This was a great barbershop! I was actually visiting San Antonio and needed a haircut really bad. I found them after searching for barbershop around my hotel. Theyre located inside the mall. They make you feel right at home. They have a good COVID protocol, to make everyone feel safe. Frank, my barber was awesome too. He got my haircut right! Great customer service, amazing atmosphere, everyone was so helpful. I have found my place for when I visit San Antonio again and need a cut.

Urban city barbershop at river center...This was my first time ever going to a barber. I just want to say I was pleased as hell. thank you to Anthony for making my first experience at a barber cool. Moved downtown and had to find a new barber, found this place and happy I did. They are more strict on COVID Protocol then anywhere I have been. They control the amount of people inside, make you wash your hands first thing when entering, wear a mask themselves, change their aprons every person and are completely comfortable with you wearing a mask during your hair cut. Great friendly staff and they actually care about the customers experience, I have heard them ask the customers questions through out the hair cut what they want done. Once you’re a regular they remember you and get it right every time. Ross is a great barber if you’re looking for a good cut!

The service was levels above any barbershop Ive ever been to. I’ve traveled for work for years. Ive been to barber shops all around the U.S. This barbershop sets the bar high in not only quality, but in service as well. I’m just disappointed I didn’t find them sooner.
