I called this morning to let them know I was running a little late for my appointment, but that I was on the way. I was informed I wasn’t even on the books for today. I was here 3 weeks ago, and booked the appointment then. Even have the card with the stylist name, and appointment date/time. Needless to say I was unable to get a cut. I will not be back to Diesel

I have never listened to appointment times and how the cancellation policy works with such consideration than when speaking to Mia today. What a voice! What a pleasant attitude! What an enjoyable sneeze! She should teach the masterclass in customer interaction because she is a true professional.

I called today (Fathers Day) and was able to book a appointment over the phone right away. No waiting, no problem. Christina was the one who did my haircut today and it was a great first time experience. Not only was it a haircut but also a clear razor shave on my neck, full wash/rinse, massage, etc. One of the best barbershops around. Note: you get what you pay for… the price is steep but the service you receive is on point. Thank y’all

Went for an interview and was told I had the job. I was Told I would get called for job training. 3 days went by I called left message. Never got a returned called. I had even quit my previous job because I had a job with Diesel Barber shop. Management drop the ball. Very unprofessional Management the way i see it. Thank God I found another job quickly. I would not trust them even with a Haircut if thats the case. What kind of job would they do on you. Professionalism is not in their work place. Dont look for a job here youll get screwed. Not worth looking here for a job. They play with your lively hood here. They dont care.

Went in today no appointment and sat right down the person who cut my hair was I believe azuri she had black hair with blue in it any who she was awesome very out going talkative and engaging a people person I was happy with my cut and wasn’t rushed at all love that . As for price well it’s Diesel and you get what you pay for so it’s a service thing I think it’s reasonable I believe the cut was $60 I gave an additional tip of $20 because she was great and also bought 5 products a big plus at this location is staff they make the company and here the CS is very good thanks ..... sincerely your loyal customer

They try to rush you through its not like an old fashioned barber shop with the neck and back and shoulder rub extras - its a real rush job. The price is right and the people are nice but the actual services are not what I was hoping for.

She has been my stylist, for numerous years, and as she moved on to bigger and better things at Diesel, I religiously followed her there regardless of it being further away because shes amazing, and always on point with my fade! Its difficult to find someone who delivers a consistent and tight fade, so come see Bianca and you’ll be asking for her every time! In addition, you get a choice of beverage from beer, soda, or water, and you can play free video games while you wait!! To top it all off, the staff is always very welcoming and friendly! This is an awesome barbershop!

I guess the trend in the area is to provide a mens salon under the guise of a cool Barber which is great if thats what youre looking for.They offer their guests a beer or water, have retro video games available (free to play), music playing and a bunch of art on the wall. It is a very nice setup.To make an appt I did need to give a credit card (I guess the other trend is for customers to make an appt and not keep it?) Which was fine, but a little different than Im used to.In the end I got a decent cut, the person cutting my hair was friendly and good at conversation. However all of the cool stuff comes at a cost. It just all seems like extra when all a guy usually needs is a Barbershop not a Barbershop on steroids.It seems to be whats available around these parts, so Ill take it and thankfully they execute well that image of a cool Barbershop.

Have never been to this place before and thought I would give it a try. Just called and tried to schedule an appointment. Was put on hold and no one returned to the phone. Not a good first impression. I hope business is really good. Maybe it was a fluke but it would seem your customer service needs some help.

A good place to go if you can get one of the stylists that can do a good haircut consistently. Drinks on arrival but the cost of a haircut offsets the perk. Ive had really good haircuts and also several that required a fix.

I moved to San Antonio in July 2018 and didnt know where to cut my hair. Im very picky, and tried a few shops that did not meet my expectations. Luckily I found diesel barbershop and met Nichole (my barber). She is incredibly nice. She took the time to consult me the first time she cut my hair to have an idea of what I wanted. Since then, shes managed to cut my hair perfectly every time. I strongly recommend the diesel plus service. I get it everytime.

ALWAYS get a good cut even when my usual barber is not there. Amazing shave as well. Worth every penny. I got a great haircut here today. Jessi is an amazing barber as in best haircut Ive ever received. I go out of my way to get to this barbershop and barber. Very friendly and great atmosphere. And for those complaining about pricing its 35 bucks for their standard haircut and that includes a haircut shampoo and conditioner neck shave styling of hair. Free drinks beer soda and water Ive even heard of a wine but havent seen it. I dont know how people on here are racking up 100 dollar tabs the haircut and beard combo is 60 and that includes almost everything. 8 dollars for waxing as in doesnt add up what theyre saying. This place rocks

Great first time experience. I do not know where everyone is getting multiple barbers from. I went in and was asked to sign in and offered a Texas brewed beer. Ellie was my barber and she did a great job on beard trim and hair cut. I only had one barber the whole time, she did hair, beard, shampoo and shave. I got the Full package for $55 and tipped. Do not get me wrong, this is by far the most I have ever spent on a cut and shave, but I wasnt rushed. Total time spend was about 1 hr and 20 min. Not like most places where the person cutting your hair is attempting to see as many customers as they can and gets you out in 20 min. Ellie, Thank you for the wonderful first time experience and I will be back.

I went to enter and a staff member rudely butt in front of us to go out. Its kind of standard courtesy. Hello, we are customers, the pricing is not easy to understand as they up charge you for everything. A previous time I came and they charged my BF to use a straight razor. Now, the package includes a shave. After the shave, they told him it was extra for the straight razor in which they did not tell him at the time. Be careful and make sure you understand what you get. I dont think we will be back.

It is not just a great barbershop by name, it is the staff here that truely make the experience one of a kind. All stylists are amazing and masters of their craft. This has to be the best location and best crew. I am in the military and have traveled alot over the last 18yrs, this is hands down the best haircut and service I have ever received.

Ive got an undercut going on, and the FIRST thing that I had explained to the barber was that I wanted a lower drop-fade on the back, first thing she did was cut all the way up with the 0 setting, taking off all the hair I was growing out. Decent enough hair cut after I pointed out that she didnt do what I asked, she was able to somewhat salvage it, but it seems the barber was cutting my hair the way she wanted it instead of the other way around. Im not one to be rude or complain, but she was telling me before we even started that we can sit around all day if we need to in order to figure out exactly what you want and that just wasnt the case. Nice environment and friendly staff, I might even go back, but I definitely wont go for that barber.

I might go here again, albeit with some caveats.I was told at the beginning it would be about $50-$55 for a cut and clean-up straight razor shave of my neck line and cheeks. Ended up being somewhere around $70.I asked for a 1 on top, half on the sides to zero.I asked for the shave, although I was expecting a shave of the back of my neck as well, they didnt offer it and I forgot to ask them about it. And I say them because no one person could perform all the tasks needed. What kind of a barbershop has one person out of 5 that can do straight razor shaving?My friend got a general cut, beard trim and straight razor clean up like I did as well as a brow wax of his (uni)brow. His cost ended up just shy of $100. Kinda steep, especially since we both noticed mistakes after we got home in better lighting. My sideburns went up my head almost an inch on one side of my head while the other was almost at my ear hole level.At the checkout, the person who charged us when we asked why it was so high was because we didnt get this other package, which would have saved us about 7 or 8 dollars. So.. charge us the package and dont give us the extra services is what I should have requested. $8 is another $8 Id rather tip with. This was somewhat frustrating so taking a star for that.We tipped 20%, as always.If the owner reads this I would suggest the following:Require your barbers to be barbers. meaning, they should all be able to do the same things. My friend had 3 different people work on him. One to cut and trim his beard/hair, another to shave him and a 3rd to brow wax. Every time a customer is handed off to a new person, it makes the process funky for the customer and also: how do you decide who to tip and what? Removing another star for this and the mistakes (at this price point there shouldnt be mistakes and all staff should be full barber)The staff were super friendly and patient and they all were eager to help and do a good job even if we noticed a few minor mistakes after. The products and physical location is great, with a clean atmosphere and a very hyper-masculine vibe, the people are awesome but the process could use some improvement (one star deduction). Id give them another chance though If I lived in the area.

Have been there several times. Have probably had 6 different girls cut my hair. They all did a great job and Im picky. Price is very reasonable. $20-$25 range for cut, wash, shampoo and scalp massage/shoulder massage. They offer your cold drinks when you walk through the door.

Sami takes a ton of pride in her work and is the first person Ive found in San Antonio who seems to care about what I look like leaving her chair. Shes also really nice and Id honestly sacrifice customer service for a quality haircut, but I dont have to with her. Shes pleasant to talk to and extremely skilled.

W A R N I N G ! Don’t use your credit card at this place. My son & I have been a customer here for many years. We always tip $10-$20. My son made an appointment for June 11th and on June 10th they looked up his credit card information from a previous sale and charged my credit card when he did not show up. I called and a smarty pants manager insisted that “this was their policy”. I insisted they had made a mistake. She refused to reverse charge. I inquired if she was willing to loose both of us a clients and she told me to teach my son to be on time. I insisted that the error was theirs by writing the wrong date. The card was not swiped. They just took the number and punched it in. I have disputed this charge with with Chase and will look for barbershop that will be honest and not charge my card without authorization and will more value the $2,000 a year, including tips we spend at their location. If youre looking for a place to get advice and help with your beard, Id say look elsewhere. While their website led me to think that they would be able to, when I asked for input from my stylist, all I got were things like, If thats what youd like. And $15 for what she did...Ill never pay again. I could have done that myself at home and gotten the same feedback from my wife. :)They did have all kinds of extra things you could think to want when getting a hair or beard trim...video games, TVs, water/soda, a live Santa Claus for free photo ops, etc., if youre into all that. As for me, Im looking for a good quality cut and grooming advice when I need it. The search continues. :(
