I am stunned that this facility no longer requires masking and disappointed I was not informed of the change in policy prior to my appointment. The Delta variant still rages through our state. Utah is witnessing between 1000 and 2000 new cases of COVID-19 daily. Why would a medical facility leave its patients and staff unprotected? There is an alarming disconnect here.

Just moved to SLC so finding a good dentist without a referral can be risky. I definitely made the right choice. Staff could not have been more friendly, they went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. Really appreciate them for that.Friendly atmosphere, knowledgeable dentist who took the time to explain everything to me.Definitely going to continue getting my checkups with them. I have been going to Salt Lake Dental for a little over a year now and I’ve always had a great experience. Anytime I go in and get a cleaning or a filling, etc. they explain the process and make sure to ask me if I have any questions or concerns. They are very understanding and not pushy about getting services that my insurance may not cover. They are a great team!

I have been a patient since the beginning. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Carter is the best! He cares for everyone of his patients on a personal level. They have options for those without dental insurance, which has been a life saver and flexible hours. Even Saturdays! I highly recommend.

I’m in town for a last-minute situation, and (of course) my temporary crown decides to pop loose and completely shatter. Not only were these fantastic individuals able to get me in for a last-minute appointment ON A SATURDAY, but they were incredibly kind and overall lovely to interact with. The most superior dental experience Ive ever had. The dentist spotted issues Id had my entire life and no one has ever mentioned before. The hygienist is thorough and careful. My originally visit was to fix a filling that was still bothering me from a previous office. Ive never felt more at ease in a dentist establishment. It hasnt bothered me since. I truly mean it. In my experience Salt Lake Dental is the best.

The staff are very kind and patient. They rescheduled my appointment several times for me. The office uses modern technology and seems very advanced. Also the chair you sit in give you a massage and theres a television in the ceiling so thats pretty cool. I am very happy with the service I received.

My crown popped off and they were able to get me in within a few hours the same day. My crown was still in perfect condition and they were able to glue it back on. Everyone was friendly.

I started going to this office when I moved into the area 4-5 years ago and I’ve always been really happy with the care I’ve received. Always feel like my teeth are in great hands with these folks and that they really honestly care about my dental health. They listen. The exam rooms are very nice and everything is always super clean, they use a big ol TV for their computer screen and they do everything (photos/X-rays/records) digitally right in front of you so it’s a very transparent process. There are also TVs in the ceiling above the exam chair where they sometimes play entertainment. They respect your time, and there is always little to no waiting. They are so well organized and everyone there is very friendly and empathetic too! Even after I move out of the area I plan to keep coming here. Hands down the best dentist office I’ve ever visited. They were able to get me in for consultation since I was having immense wisdom tooth pain. My wisdom teeth were unfortunately too impacted to where I needed to be recommend to an oral surgeon. They were kind and took the time to explain with x-rays. Biggest thing for me is they were able to get me in the same day

Kind staff, very kind, and usually never a large wait time. However, orthodontics here isn’t a really good choice. I was told since I didn’t have a large fix needed for my teeth that they would be a good go to. Many times my brackets fell off, not like like a couple, but at least every time i got them adjusted or replaced, my bracket fell off. Eventually when I was done with the braces stage, and got my permanent retainer. When i got my braces off the whole goal of having them was to fix my gap, and they did about 50% of the job. Same thing continued to happen with my retainer. It kept falling off. With the retainer falling off, my gap practically came back. It was not worth the money. I do get my cleaning done here and the cleaning is done well! Great communication. However the braces felt as though it wasn’t worth the money in the slightest. Also, I wouldn’t trust a lot of the reviews that are one liners or 2, they give gift cards to those who leave 5 Star reviews.

I went to Salt Lake Dental today for the first time. My experience was beyond wonderful. Dr. Carter was very nice and very informative. There was no pressure to do more than I wanted or could afford. I am very pleased and cant wait to get started .I am getting porcelain veneers, four up and four down. I recommend this office to everyone.

I got a text saying that they had times available on the weekend a couple weeks before my actual appointment, I agreed to come in before my actual appointment… the hygienist was great but I didn’t get a exam by the actual dentist because “they were slammed” like isn’t the whole point of a 6 month check up to see your dentist?? To make sure that you don’t have any issues. Why did they text me telling me to come in before if they were going to be super busy?? The hygienist said like “oh it’s ok since you have healthy teeth” I literally have the worst teeth ever. I asked they hygienist if I had cavities and she said only a dentist can give me an answer… so what for the next six months I should just hope I don’t have a cavity??

I had a great experience. The receptionist texted me to reschedule and was very accommodating. I appreciate that they send text messages. Everyone was super friendly and helpful at the office. The cleaning was quick and the hygienist was good about checking in with me to make sure I was experiencing any discomfort or pain throughout. They worked quickly, answered all of my questions, and gave me good suggestions. I like that they take pictures of your teeth in addition to the x-rays and show you exactly what they are talking about so their advice doesnt seem abstract. Overall really professional and personal. I highly recommend this office.

I am not pleased with the quality of service. The staff is nice but I am not happy with the service I receive. I had to go back 4 times for a temporary crown that kept breaking. I then got my permanent crown on two teeth and have nothing but discomfort from them. I went back today because I could not drink or eat anything hot or cold without being in severe pain. The dentist ground on a tooth I didn’t even have a crown in and scraped away more adhesive that was left over from my gum line. I can drink and eat hot and cold now with a little discomfort but feel a dull pain now on the two teeth I had crowns placed. I wish they would fix this once and for all as this process is not cheep!!!!

Love the staff. Ive taken my daughter since she was 1 1/2 and they work fantastic with her as well

We had been going for years to the local dental clinic, but their hours just werent lining up with our new work schedule, so we switched to Salt Lake Dental. I liked that they offered appointments late in the afternoons and on Saturdays as well. I was impressed by the quality of service I received, and was blown away by the level of technology they had. They spent at least twice the amount of time cleaning my teeth than my old dentist did, and explained everything they were going to do. They also were able to fix a broken filling right on the spot -- something I had been putting off because my former dentist never had the time to take care of it. Salt Lake Dental has my familys business from now on!

I have been a patient of Dr. Carter’s for several years now and have always had great experiences. The whole staff is very friendly and they always make me feel comfortable.After years of being unhappy with my teeth Dr. Carter informed me of their braces program 6 Month Smiles. Instead of braces for 2 years it was only 6 months. One of the best decisions I have made. I finally feel confident to smile and am not constantly covering my mouth when I smile or laugh like I use to. It was a game changer.

As a non-resident with a semi-emergent need for dental work on a Saturday, I researched several places, & from the phone call with their receptionist to the Dentist and of course the kind young dental assistant (soon to be hygienist) ending the day with another dental assistant to finalize my preliminary appointment making my dreaded dental appointment a comforting, efficient & affective one! The only reason I don’t rate a full 5 is because my dental experience is not complete, I have additional work to do and have high hopes The final / ongoing quality will be as great as the service and better than the great affordable low prices! It’s hard to find a good new dentist and I think I just might have found one!

It’s really nice to go into a new office of any kind and feel welcomed. The staff at Salt lake dental was super amazing with me and my kids. Coming from my last dentist office to salt lake dental it was night and day. Here they use all new nice equipment and one thing I really liked is that they take very clear pictures of your teeth and believe me seeing cavities in HD will make you want to brush and floss all day long. Another thing I liked was they have a black glass ceiling tile so that you can see what is actually going on while they are digging. Finally we ( me and my daughter) saw doctor Ali he was super nice and explained everything. He explained the treatment plan going forward and what to expect. He also told me if I was your brother here is what I would tell you to do to get the most bang for your buck and I liked that he put my treatment before his bottom dollar. This was my first visit and will update going forward but initial visit was 5/5

The people that work here are very friendly. Its one of the few places that offer their services on Saturdays. You feel that youre being well taken care of. Your dental health is given a top priority. They wont pressure you to make decisions, such as removing wisdom teeth if its not causing any apparent issues. Overall Ive had a great experience going here.

Dr. Godfrey and his staff were amazing. From their bedside manners to their thoughtful aftercare, they make sure you’re taken care of. I wouldn’t go to any other practice!

Please read full review BECAUSE Salt Lake Dental is superb and surpassed my expectations. My fear of dentists have been very real ever since I was a kid. Which followed into adulthood based on experiences at previous dental offices. Even when I was pregnant with my son I got half of my mouth fixed(at another dental office which is currently out of business) and never went back to get the other half done based on that experience I had there. From a young age I have had bad teeth, when I was younger my whole mouth was full of silver teeth. So going into adulthood and never being properly taught or shown how to take care of my teeth created a huge problem. I originally called Salt Lake Dental due to a tooth ache on a weekend. They were willing to book me for a fair price on that Saturday. Knowing I did not at the time have dental insurance I decided I would push through the pain for one more month before my insurance kicked in. They notified me on that phone call that they would accept my insurance (because I knew what dental insurance I would have and the date it would go into affect.) We scheduled my appointment after my insurance would go into affect. I was able to text them my insurance information. They have been super accommodating to my schedule as well with being open on Saturdays. I was hesitant at first when I went in for the tooth pain. I was unsure if I was just going in for that tooth or if I would make them my primary dentist. At the appointment we checked the tooth of concern. And I had expressed my concerns with dentists and my fear of them to the dental assistant. She was super helpful and reassuring that I asked her to just do all the X-rays needed for a full dental plan rather than just the one tooth. The dentist was super gentile and made it such a wonderful experience even though we couldnt save the original tooth of concern. He looked at my X-rays with the dental assistant and we came up with a manageable dental plan. So over the next month I was in their dental chairs almost every day that I had off of work getting the rest of my teeth fixed. I am not good with names but everyone there (not just everyone who helped me) is super friendly, professional, understanding and helpful. We worked on my right side of my mouth and then I actually went back for the left side (which I probably wouldnt have done if it had been a bad experience). I brought my child with me to each appointment, they have always been so kind but understanding to my child and situation. They have been so spectacular that I even asked if I could make them the primary dentist for my child too. So far so good. The men and women here have restored my faith in dentists and having dental work done. Its been a few months with my fillings and no complaints. Not to mention they have been so transparent with everything that by the end of each appointment when they ask if I have questions about the appointment or treatment that I usually only have one or two questions. They are extremely thorough about everything. Needless to say I am grateful I made that phone call when I had tooth pain, because now I have had almost all the dental work I needed done. I no longer have pain in my mouth, now I am working on preventative treatments and working towards getting the two missing molars in my mouth replaced. If you are looking for a good friendly dentist with a steady hand and respect I suggest Salt Lake Dental and the professionalism of everyone there.

Saw me on a Saturday (this morning) and promptly diagnosed an infection with my wisdom tooth. Got me the amoxicillin needed and gave me the number for a orthopedic surgeon better tailored to remove my wisdom teeth. I would still be in a great deal of pain today if it weren’t for foothill dental.

I started coming here because I had a dental emergency on a Saturday and they were the only place open with good ratings. Now even though I live more than a half-hour away its worth the drive.Dr. Carter is great, the staff are friendly and competent, and while they do their thing youre watching Netflix in the ceiling monitor while seated in a massage chair. Whats not to like?

My first time at SLD and I had a great experience! Everyone in the office is so friendly and knows exactly what they’re doing. They have all the latest technology and really spend time to help you understand what’s going on with your teeth. I left with teeth cleaner than I have ever felt in my whole life! I am still amazed at how different my teeth feel.They are quick and efficient, and ensure you are not waiting too long for the dentist or hygienist. They are very respectful of budget when it comes to cosmetic dentistry and just want to do whatever you feel will make you feel good about your teeth!

Ive neglected my dental visits in the past because of bad experiences with dental offices before. Ive been going to Salt Lake Dental for a few months now and its been nothing but positive. The staff from top to bottom are friendly, nonjudgemental and as helpful as possible. Dr. Carter is top notch in his abilities and it makes a difference in the pain experienced and getting done exactly what you need done. I have been so impressed with the friendliness of the office staff and assistants. Im guessing those people are harder to find and cost more in salary, I can say 100% its worth it from a customer experience standpoint.

Clean place very friendly but very dishonesty. Did not perform service I requested, then tried to charge me for services not performed. Also told me I have gingivitis and periodontitis when that clearly is not true considering my gums are not bleeding show no signs of redness nor do my gum have any type of sensitivity. Very dissatisfied with the service I received. All they did was basically brush my teeth and floss and that wasn’t even done properly.

They just make you feel very good, they take away any kind of nerves you may have, they explain everything very well. Emily is a sweetheart and Dr. Ali is the kindest and most caring. excellent work team.

Ive never had such a pleasant experience at a dentist before. I went in on an empty stomach, and was offered a protein shake as well as homemade banana bread so I wouldnt get sick. Once I was taken back to be worked on, I was offered a blanket for comfort, hulu and headphones for distraction, and laughing gas to help me calm down.Every person that I talked to was kind and friendly, and I felt very cared for and comforted in a painful, stressful situation. They were also very patient from start to finish.10/10 would go back and recommend!
