Having many dentists in my family and having been to other dentists around the state I feel obligated to share a few thoughts about my experience with Eagle Gate Dental.TLDR; Doctor was specifically rude to me for no apparent reason, actual dental work was good. Hygienist was the highlight despite working for someone who discriminates which patients he wants to treat with decency.OFFICE - The office was clean and orderly. Its a rather small, three chair practice so it feels cozy. The décor looks like it hasnt changed since they opened but I felt comfortable with the space.STAFF - The office staff are very professional and friendly. The first hygienist I worked with was exceptional! She was very professional, took care of my cleaning, but beyond that she took time and effort to make a personal connection and explain much of her oral health recommendations in detail.DOCTOR - Dr. Wright is functionally a good dentist. I believe he did good work and so far have not experienced any persistent side-effects after he took care of a couple fillings. That being said, my experience with Dr. Wright was less than desirable. He didnt engage with me at all, I had to initiate any small talk or conversation and when I did it was met with short one word answers and a cold lack of emotion. I understand if a doctor is strictly business and maintains a serious attitude with his work but such was not the case with my treatment. Instead, I heard Dr. Wright in the chair next to mine conversing and engaging rather cheerfully with another patient, walk back into my room, and refrain from saying a word to me. His callous attitude was off-putting and arbitrary.My experience with other dentists is typically a gentlemen who greets each patient with compassion, genuine interest in their health, and has a friendly personality.Is this being picky? admittedly its a bit picky - but given the vast number of alternative, competent, professionally trained, and FRIENDLY doctors in this valley Dr. Wright would do well to have a bit more personality with ALL his patients.I may return to his office for procedures and cleanings in the future, but my first and second impressions of Dr. Wright will certainly be informed by these unpleasant experiences.

Im one of those people who deals with a great deal of anxiety in general but also with my oral health in particular.Dr. Wright and his staff have always put me at east and have been very helpful and kind. I honestly cant recommend them enough—and I have, whenever Ive learned that someone is looking for a dentist.

I had a filling done last week and dr Wright was so good and did a fantastic job! The staff was so friendly too.

I used to go here. They told me I needed 4 crowns and a bunch of other cavities. $2,000 worth of dental work (with insurance). I kept going for a year or so but never got any work done other than cleaning. I never felt good about them but I was young and new on my own insurance. Started going somewhere else, only needed 1 crown and NO cavities. 5 years later still have only for that one crown and my teeth haven’t ever bothered me. I feel highly ripped off by them

A patient of mine was visiting Salt Lake City and called with a dental emergency. I called Dr. Wright and his team to see if they would be able to seem him on short notice and they were more than willing to help. My patient had nothing but praise for them and their hospitality and their timely treatment allowed him to continue his trip unconcerned by his teeth. The Eagle Gate Dental team is truly a class act and Im proud to have them as colleagues.

Dr, Wright and his staff are absolutely wonderful to work with! They are efficient, supportive, and very caring. I have had quite a bit of work done in the past year. They are honest in their assessment of insurance costs, and I find it easy to schedule appointments, as they take patients as early as 7am. Great for the working professional! That good. New patient last few months. Dr Wright fixed a gap in my teeth with a filling that was accumulating food difficult to clean. Have had it for many decades all my adult life no other dentist maybe a dozen had done nothing. None had even told me about it...He also caught needed a root canal on a tooth that had never caused any pain. Had died quietly. A good sign he referred me to an endodontist not performing them himself. My mom had a dentist that did root canals causing decades of neuralgia and much pain since was done improperly. A US Military endodontist found the root cause much later. Run like hell from any general dentist that does root canals.

Really cant say enough good things about Eagle Gate Dental and Dr. Wright. Great staff, super friendly, and professional -- Im confident Im getting the best possible dental care there. At the time of my last visit, I hadnt had any dental work done in 8 years and if Dr. Wright told me I had a head full of cavities, I would have believed him, but he gave me a clean bill of oral health. So I cant imagine what these other reviewers are talking about. If Dr. Wright recommends work that other dentists dont, then its because he has higher standards.

Excellent customer service! This was my first visit and I was greeted by name (“You must be Paige”). They had televisions I could watch while getting my teeth cleaned. My experience was uber comfortable, as I was given headphones to drown out the “fun” noises that accompany a visit to the dentist. I was told I had a crack in my filling in the tooth that has been giving me trouble (exactly what I thought the issue was). I made an appointment quickly (no waiting to make a follow-up appointment) to get the tooth re-filled. I’ll give an update on how that goes. Dr. Wright and his staff are great and remind me of my childhood dentist that I trust (Dr. Madden in Cincinnati, Ohio). I recommend!

Amiable folks/very personable. And when I had a root die, they fit me in ASAP and got me out of pain as fast as they could. My heroes! Good work, convenient location if you work downtown to just swing by on a lunch break.

Watch out if you want to transfer to another dentist! Sjana refused to release medical records in violation of HIPAA. Filed complaint with governing body.

This place is CROOKED! I have gone in for two consecutive cleanings where they will evaluate and find out what is wrong. I went in the first time and found I needed 2 crowns done (I knew that for sure) and an extra $1500 in cavities that needed to be taken care of on top of that. I went to another trusted dentist who said I only needed 2 crowns and that WAS IT! He could not find what Eagle Gate was talking about. So I got my crowns done at that location. But I go back a second time to Eagle Gate to get a cleaning (Because it is close) and the first thing he said is Wow those crowns look awful, we need to get those replaced, when did you have those done? I said 6 months ago. He was basicly looking at his old notes and judging everything based on them and not on fact. Lot of back tracking, but it seemed construed and twisted. I lost a lot of trust with them. I would not recommend it!

We love Dr. Wright and staff, and have been seeing him for 10 year now. The wait time is usually short, he gets to know his patients, and is very meticulous in his work. We highly recommend Dr. Wright!

We have been seeing Dr. Wright for about 16 years. His work is very professional and of the highest quality. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

No matter the issue, it is always explained thoroughly and makes me aware of my options before anything is done. Nothing too big and nothing too small. Will continue to use Dr Wright for all of my future needs and those of my familys.
