Update: See the response below and know that the apartment residents have gotten the same answer for over a year, and NOW were in a SEVERE DROUGHT, a more than 100 years SEVERE DROUGHT. Does that ExCuSe cover it for you?My advice?NEVER live here!!!The egregious waste of water that this place continuously commits can be seen from Redwood Road. They water everyday and sometimes twice a day. The sidewalks get so wet, that the city sidewalk on the north side of the property is becoming damaged.
This is my first ever apartment and as an 18 year old they took me very seriously. Their maintenance is always on it no matter what time it is. The people at the front desk are so friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. All my neighbors have become friends I wouldnt change for anything! Thank you Thornhill
I really enjoy living at Thornhill Park. The location is killer. I worked with Chase on my move in and he was super friendly, helpful, and a true pleasure to work with. The staff are super friendly and I highly recommend this place!
Lovely place glad I moved there as my first place in. Utah from California
Thornhill is a very nice property, it is very well located off of Redwood road close to a freeway entrance, shopping and dining options! I went on a tour with Chase and he was very attentive and explained everything clearly as well as answered all the questions I had! Would highly recommend renting from this property the units are clean, the property is well groomed and the management is amazing!
Location ok. Price crazy! Cleanliness could be better.
Its the worst place to live!! Very old apartments, everything ruined. Ive lived here for 3 years and for 3 years I have a waterfall of water that comes out of the air conditioning, leaving the hallway that leads to the bedroom, soaked, I havent moved in these 3 years because they, the administration keeps rolling us, with promises that theyre going to fix it, they dont keep what they promise, not even to wash the carpet when the contract is renewed and they do. Its absolutely terrible to live here! I dont recommend it at all, youll regret it!!!UPDATE after my last registration here. Its been a month since my last registration here, and the last time we spoke with the manager, and since then, absolutely NOTHING has been done! I have a waterfall in the house, two buckets that refill daily, a rotten carpet that stinks from being wet. They dont have the MINIMUM concern for the residents, for three years theyve wrapped us up with dozens of promises and wait for the winter to come, because we dont need cold air conditioning in winter, VERY CONVENIENT! Thats why we havent left here yet, promises, promises, and promises. A ABSURD, A COMPLETE DISCOVERY! super old apartments, a maintenance of the worst quality. No rebate on rent for 3 years of inconvenience. If regret killed, I was dead, BELIEVE IT!!
Would NOT recommend living here if you are a young woman living alone. Walls are very thin so expect to not only be able to hear your neighbors, but smell them too. Expect to pay $200-$300 more per month than what was originally talked about and be hit with those numbers the day you move in. Also if you get repairs done be prepared to have people enter your apartment without a warning and leave their trash in it 🤷🏼♀️
I Thought Id be giving thornhil a 5 star rating. However right before my lease was ending I was served a lease violation weeks before my move about a painting in my window not being allowed which was in my window for several months. This world is compressed enough without my apartment trying to burn out my expressions. I thought this apartment is very tiny and over priced and now Im paying all this money and i cant have a painting in my window, not worth it. It really set me off. Location is near all the stores but the stores are on the lower end spectrum. So you will probably have to drive down the road to bigger and nicer ones. However the maintenance is very kind and quick so props to them. The office is overall kind and stay out of your business. The apartment is calm the walls are thin, so if you cant handle neighbors buy a house. I loved most my neighbors even though they can be pretty noisy. Apartments are well maintained. Very clean. The upgraded apartments are nice but the upgrades are sorta cheap and weak. Doors are cheap basically fell off the hinges so im sure i wont be getting back my deposit. Overall yes a quick easy apartment to get into, that is nice enough for a starter apartment. My bad ratings mostly come from the painting issue and the fact the apt are so expensive for how small they are.
The office staff is amazing, they do everything they can to make sure the place is running well. Same with maintenance they really do work hard. That regional manager Melissa however, greedy is her middle name. Don’t expect any sort of compassion from the higher up. They only care about filling their pockets, regardless of your circumstance.
The property manager Chase, is amazing!I just moved in, and he made the whole experience so easy. I’ve lived in quite a few communities, and this was by far the fastest and most simple experience I’ve had. Chase is quick to respond, and answers any questions you may have. He’s very friendly, yet professional and overall a joy to work with.Thank you Chase!! ❤️
I love it and i recommend it and its not scary and the manager is nice and the apartment looks real nice
My boyfriend and i moved in about a week ago and we love it! chase helped us through most of our move in process, and he was awesome! right after our tour of the place, he texted my number and thanked us for coming in, which no other place we looked at did. they made the move in process super fast and easy! they were upfront with all of the fees. its also right next to a lot of stores and restaurants within walking distance, which is a bonus as well!
Although the office staff has changed hands more than once, they are professional. My work order to replace my broken entry door handle was put in more than 2 weeks ago, it still has not been taken care of. The increased amount of dog feces in the common grass areas has become unsettling. Its very frustrating we can no longer pay rent at the office, the only options are online (which you have to pay a fee for) or Western Union. Left phone messages are never returned and the fees are astronomical. I paid a $200 transfer fee to move into a different apartment and in the projected week for me to move, they rented it to someone else. This is after already waiting for 3 weeks, had 80% of my unit packed, and confirming on multiple occasions the move to the specified unit would be taking place. I have been here for 15 months, am disabled, and frankly abhorred that the office would have such disregard to courteous business practices.
Expensive, as all apartments are these days, but fairly reliable management and maintenance.
The management has been very easy and friendly so far. Chase originally dealt with us and helped us get into an apartment right away. I would definately send someone his way! He was not only accommodating, but rushed things through so that we could move into a furnished apartment almost immediately. He also took the time to show us multiple aparments since we werent sure what we needed!
Very comfy and great parking
Reasonable priced
Absolutely terrible place to live. Gunshots through walls and when I ask if somehow this one month my rent can be broken up due to covid and working hours. They say yes no problem then lie about fees. Will never recommend such a terrible place.
Ok, I have never had a positive apartment experience before this. I am actually going to renew my lease with them. Previous apartments tried to screw me out of every dollar they had but here, the manager is awesome. She worked with me and my girlfriend and got us a really good deal. Ive had a couple issues and maintenance was dispatched within 30 minutes. Our water heater broke and they got us a brand new one the next day. Most of the community is nice considering the area, and the buildings themselfs are pretty nice. If youre out looking for somewhere, give place a tour, its really good. Oh, and there is no bugs! Its hard to find places that dont.
Ana & Chase are the best! From the tour to the paper work, to helping my husband and I feel comfortable in ALL aspects of my move the customer service has been the BEST! Absolute best! Theyve been great with helping my sister in law move into her first apartment as well and it just has been a great pleasure working with the team. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Looking forward to seeing what the community is like, and testing out the amenities.
Yall have no idea. Front office has been helping me so much. Im a single mom with two babies. They have been so helpful and understanding. I love the location. Its quiet and everyone is calm. Im right next to check city, walmart and my job so its a convenient location! Anna the manager is the best person you could ever come across. She is so sweet and kind and I love her!!! Riley is the leading agent and she helped me with leading into the apartment and I never have met such kind people in my life. If yall see this review YALL NEED TO COME LIVE HERE !
This is a great place to live, very quiet and the grounds are beautiful. I have lived here for five years and never had a problem with anything. Units are well kept and the maintenance crew is awesome. The ladies in the office are always friendly and helpful. Rent here if youre looking for a cozy modern apartment home. Oh and pets are welcome too!
Anna did a great job on our tour. Was extremely knowledgable about the apartments and all the things Surrounding businesses/restaurants! We are looking until next year but this place is okay the top of our list!
I gotta say for being on my own for the first time and having my owe place Im very thrilled, very exited and truly thankful for Anna. She was very helpful, sweet and kind to my girlfriend and I. The apartments are affordable for the both of us, the community is quiet, the apartments are very nice and it feels like home. There are a very few and very small problems. However, its not effecting the 5 stars Im giving here. 😉 Anna kept her word with everything and she even says it like she means it. I have no expectations on when these small things will be fixed. As a matter of fact take as much time as you need. Im patient, understanding and very happy to be here. Thank you Thornhill. And thank you so much Anna. You are the best. 😊
All of the office staff and maintenance are friendly and professional. Always helpful and polite. Apartments are a bit older but are constantly being updated and anything you need, they are on it! After 6 months lease was renewed, rates go up, but other than that we like it. Safe and quiet.
Ive been here about two years and generally things have been a 5 star experience. The office staff is awesome, has always answered questions I have and maintenance is kind. Often knowing residents by name. Greeting you by name and a smile. The only complaint Ive had was with a smoking neighbor a few months ago. People not cleaning up after their pets is a problem, but I see maintenance out with a bucket cleaning up pretty regularly. The grounds are great. Nice open areas for my kids to play and the bbq grills are a bonus in the summer months. A little expensive, but the location is great, so its a trade off. Maintenance is awesome! Getting my washer/dryer fixed within a day of my request. Something that can not be easy considering it was the week before Memorial Day. I saw them getting the pool ready to be opened the day I called them. Youll be well taken care of here.
Great location! Very quiet complex! Well-kept office staff is great and maintenance men are my buddies. Cant beat the location for real! Pets allowed. The bad the price is a bit high but youre paying for location. And all the extra fees monthly really add up so ask first to get a realistic view of what they would be. Like you have to pay for parking even if you dont have a car. And a lot of people seem to get confused when they get a one-bedroom and they see the model and then on move in day their apartment is much smaller so be sure to verify which apartment you were actually getting.
Very nice property .very well kept up.very clean. very very quiet environment. nice workout room. nice swimming pool. very close and convenient to shopping. That said- Apartments tend to be not what is portrayed when people look at the model. And you get charged for a ton of extra stuff like parking security water sewer trash and the water is based on everybodys usage, not just your own so you cant be watchful and try to keep your own bill down. And you pay for parking even if you dont have a car and more stuff that ends up being an extra $100 a month or so- so if youre on a budget just make sure youre very detailed over what your prices should be.
I dont believe Thornhill deserves anything but one star. When I first moved in it wasnt cleaned and the floors werent cleaned either. Then after living here for a little everything kept breaking, the air conditioning never worked and when winter came the heater never worked. I asked our apartment to come fix it multiple times and it never got fixed even though they said they did. Now that Ive moved out they are charging move out fees for them to hire someone to shampoo the carpet, paint the walls and other crazy fees. They stated they are going to charge me 500 dollars- I dont believe the apartment was good to begin with and now theyre charging me for everything I didnt have happen for my own apartment move in. Its not worth it for them to screw you over, I would recommend not living here.
I’ve lived here for about 4 months now and I have no complaints. Anything that I need maintenance help with, it’s taken care of within a few days. The girls in the office are super helpful and timely respond to my emails. The location is awesome too, being right next to the freeway and next to all of the businesses across the street.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS FOR ANYONE. You can find much better for cheaper price. They will try to make you pay as mush as possible when you move-out. Please do not think of moving at this place. Its worst and i really had a bad experience.
This was the first apartments I moved to after moving out of my parents home, I have lived here for two years and I have had a really good experience! We have only had maintenance problems once and it was rapidly taken care of. The apartments are well maintained and I love how the outside of the apartments always looks very well taken care of. Overall I enjoy living here and definitely recommend for first time renters!
I am a new tenant to Thornhill, and I have been pleased with the staff, and especially the upkeep of the landscaping and also friendliness of the other tenants. I have only had a couple issues with the vendor the owner chose as the electrician, but the staff have been so understanding and quick to take care of the mistakes, and is open with communication of whats going on and what is needed. Also very willing to work with my schedule. I enjoy the central location to everything around me, and the monthly newsletters reminding me of things happening and the amenities that are becoming available soon. I am pleased to say I am glad I chose Thornhill, or Thornberry as I call them as my home :)
Very professional and nice staff. Great location. Love the amenities.
I have found this to be one of the most ridiculous customer service since being here ! Over 48 hrs without heat in my apt where I pay a thousand dollars a month. I dont know what kind of circus or common sense did not play a factor here !!! The new maintenance guy that works here try to say I refused service which I did no such thing . He asked me what a good time was to come back . Long story short never came back ...told his manager I refused service....bottom line he had plans with his family that holiday day weekend which I understand but he didnt come back unit mon at about 10: 30 that morning but before that he was taking out the garbage before he came to my place where I been without heat for over 48hrs . Which also disturbing he help out another tenant out that very Sunday when he could have fix my heat that only took him 15 min to fix !
I just love living here. Have never had a bad experience yet. Cost is a bit high but the people that I have met are awesome!
Im a travel nurse and have been staying here during my assignment. I find the staff so helpful and nice. They have always been generous with there time when I needed anything and if I found anything wrong with my apartment it was fixed very fast and with a smile. If I travel back in this area I will stay here again for my few months stay. Thank you everyone.
Have lived here for about 2 yrs. I really like it. The location is great easy to get to the freeway. The staff is really nice and they fix any issues really fast. I am going to renew my lease in 2 months. Very happy here.
This place is a little out of place if you ask me. The situation is serious and people should think twice before making this a place to reside. There are a lot of ghetto looking people lurking around nearby and lots of strange things happening as if were living in a safe world. Live life carefully and live.
This is the excellent apartment. The maintenance of the apartment is excellent. Its always clean. The response from the office staff is very good. They are very cooperative and helping. Public transport is very good from here. All the shops like Walmart, Dollar Tree, Restaurants and Chase bank are very near as in walkable distance. Really this is excellent apartment for living family.
We moved to Thornhill last year. At first it was fine and management was great. However, they got new management and things went downhill. We had neighbors move in that were always loud. The cops had been to their apartment at least three times. One of those times a battering ram was used (as shown in one of the pictures). These neighbors were allowed to stay even though safety should have been taken into account. We had out final straw when a bullet came through our wall from their apartment. We moved out January 4th. Our contract with Thornhill was up January 31st. We were required to pay for Februarys rent as well because we didnt give 60 days. If they wanted a better review they should have made the neighbors leave or not made us pay due to the fact our safety was at risk. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS FOR ANYONE. You can find much better for the same price.
This apartment complex is ideally located. Within walking distance from Wal-Mart, multiple fast food options and sit-down restaurants, and other stores. The staff have been friendly, but work orders are processed slowly (I waited over 6 months to get screws placed so my dishwasher wouldnt fall forward every time I opened it, I still dont have a hood above my stove range, and there are wires and a hole showing the previous wallpaper still). Also I thought there was Free Wifi in the club house, but no one seems to know the password. There are the typical loud neighbors and quiet neighbors. A gym and outdoor courts, a pool and hot tub, this place has a lot of perks. We had brand new stainless steel appliances, a stacked washer and dryer in unit, and wifi hook up through Xfinity. Ive enjoyed living here!
This is the second time living at Thornhill Park, and we have been very pleased. Both the first time, and this time. The staff is professional and helpful. The grounds are lovely and there are many lease options to choose from. I would highly recommend living in this community.
Water landscapes mid day
Great place to live. Units are clean and well kept .The grounds are beautiful and maintenance is awesome. The ladies in the office are always sweet and helpful .Rent here if you re looking for a cozy modern apartment home .
I have been visiting family for a week and a half. I will say right now this place is SCARY! In the short time I have been here I have seen crack pipes in the parking lot, we had no hot water for 4 days, my parents oven gets so hot if your cooking you cant touch it without burning yourself, any and everything makes the fire alarm go off, if you call the 24hr maintenance they cant help cause theyre napping, they towed my car to a different area without notification beforehand. These are the problems I have experienced since being here. If you are thinking of living here just know its not as advertised, no heated pool, the hot tub never works neither are clean EVER, the tennis court is actually a dog run where owners dont pick up poo, and as stated by previous comments there are major shady people going through here. The only good is the racquetball and gym area are nice and the clubhouse is pretty. If you are management dont bother with a generic response, I wont read it cause Im not interested but think about your tenants they deserve better.
I was there looking for a 2 bedroom apartment but they only have one bedrooms and it look like a nice place
This Apartment Complex have nice Buildings and apartments. But it comes with poor maintenance. Noting gets fixed. I supposedly have one of the deluxe apartments that comes with washer and dryer. It’s all broken and needs to be replaced. The heater and boiler almost caught on fire because it is also broken. The boilers are placed inside the closet which is safety violation. It is a fire hazard. Worse is the fact that tenants never know when broken appliances will be replaced or fixed. The weather is cold and winter is on the way. The water heater has been broken for one week and two days now. The Apartment managers keep on promising that the boiler has been ordered and will be replaced. Several issue with the Apartment. The window seals are all broken, it remains open and unlocked, the screens are off, closet latches broken, washer and dryer broken, toilet has issue...etc etc. none fixed. Poor maintenance record.
The move in was great! Thank you for everything! We are excited about our new apartment. :)
First, yes they do offer rewards for 5 star reviews so the overall score is most likely inflated. Its been alright so far. We had a lot of issues when we moved in such as our washer / dryer not being installed for 2 months but we were being charged for it, and our oven not working. Responsiveness of maintenance has been hit or miss for us.The pool and dog area are nice to have, and the location is very convenient. We havent had safety issues but I will say theres a few shady characters who lurk around. Our neighbors also stand outside and smoke and Im asthmatic so I wish it would be like a full non-smoking building instead of just apartment by apartment.
Living at Thornhill is an OKAY experience. The updated apartments are nice- however they are TINY for the price you pay- in fact, after some research of surrounding apartment complexes, the one bedrooms at Thornhill are considered studios elsewhere- and are about $500 less than what youll pay here. I do like that they have an area for pets- however, they never stock their bags for cleanup- but will fine you if you do not pick up, and maintenance NEVER picks up after their dogs either. I almost wonder if this was newly implemented in their property management (NOT!)- My car has been broken into since Ive moved in, and my neighbors has been broken into 3 times already. Along with other tenants cars- this is Not a safe area as they do not have cameras in their parking lots, so its hard to feel like your property is safe during the night hours. The staff however are amazing! and are very great to deal with. I wish they had more say on implementing things into the community- it definitely needs help!
I like it. Ive been living there for three years now. The only thing wrong is the lack of insulation. Im hoping that can be remedied. But the staff is helpful and accommodating, and I feel like they care about the tenants. I also like how its within walking distance of just about everything youd want to get to.
The quality of customer service was friendly, smiles, detailed and answered my questions. I just rented a place today and im excited. Thank you to Tina, Carlee, Michelle and i forget the others sorry. 😊😀
Loved it here at Thornhill. The neighbors are awesome and the staff is really great. My family and I were very happy when we were living here. I would recommend it to anyone.
Amazing staff. Beautiful, quiet property. Fun resident events! Part of an Xfinity Community, and residents are well taken care of!
I want to say that michelle the office manager is amazing and so kind and i want to thank her for her help she is amazing thank you your a great manager and so very kind and get things done in a timely manner i am very happy with her at ThornHill Park Apartments.!She dose Amazing Job.!☺👍🌟Thank You Tamara Arnold.!☺
I have been totally impressed with Chelseas professionalism and follow through. She has been very helpful and delightful to work with. Although I did not get everything I wanted, she explained why and I accepted what she could do. I would suggest you deal directly with her to resolve conflict and deal with escalated issues. A big shout out to Chelsea!Steve Knudson.
Worst experience ever they dont deserve any stars. If i Could shows pictures you would get the point. Also they totally screw u in the end. Now over less than 300 bucks they have just served me court papers. For the love of god!! DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!
My husband and I have lived in Thornhill Park Apartments for over a year and a half and we have enjoyed living here. The staff is always friendly and they know who I am whenever I come into the office to ask a question or pick up a package. The grounds are always taken care of. Whenever I have visitors they are always amazed at how great it looks! In the winter they are great at keeping the sidewalks clear so that we dont have to trudge throught he snow to get to the apartments. Its also close to a lot of restuarants and stores, as well as easy access to the 215. Its very easy to explain to people how to get there! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is that we have had some noisy neighbors either above or to the side of us. I know it isnt really the fault of the complex themselves, and we probably have been loud ourselves, but sometimes, even when our neighbors are probably not thinking they are being loud, they can be heard.Oh and another thing I love! I was thrilled to find out that our building is now a smoke free building!
A very good management and Chellci is best of them. The houses are not that good in winters. And the utility bill is terribly highly in summers. Not sure why there is a drastic shift in summers only.
DO NOT move here. The apartments themselves are fine. Nothing to write home about, but fine. The management makes it completely not worth the price. This new management here is the worst I’ve ever lived with. You would think they’d never run an apartment complex before. Halfway through my lease, the complex changed ownership and things went downhill fast. The “property manager” is condescending and rude. When you call about a problem, rather than trying to fix it, they tell you how it’s affecting them more than it’s affecting you and whatever problem will be fixed when they get around to it.They barge into your apartment without proper notice to make “improvements” without permission. They took all the shelves and hanging rods out of my closet to install an unrequested washer/dryer unit. In the process, they moved my personal belongings to the living room. My stuff had to stay there for more than a month until they finally came back to reinstall the shelves they removed in the first place. My friend’s air-conditioner went out and it took them more than a week to fix that. Their apartment got up 85 degrees during the day and she has a dog stuck inside all day. Management couldn’t care less. They advertise free wifi in the clubhouse, but one day they randomly disconnected it because they are apparently switching providers. A week after they disconnected it and they still don’t have a clue when it will be reinstalled. They are still working on getting a new contract with the different company. What kind of business completely cancels one service without having a clue when they are getting a new one?Read your lease agreement, every word. No one in the office has. They break their lease agreement because they don’t know what they are allowed (or arent allowed) to do.Worst apartment management ever. All the good reviews about the complex were left about the old management. DON’T LIVE HERE. You will regret it.
To start, when we moved in there was literally construction going for the first 2 weeks that we lived there! They didnt bother putting in the washer and dryer until after we moved in. Because of that we didnt even have hot water for the first week that we lived there. We moved in in the middle of January and our prorated rate was about $300. So basically we paid $300 to live in an apartment where we couldnt use our closet and had to take cold showers. That put a bad taste in my mouth from the beginning but I decided to still try and give them the benefit of the doubt anyway. The gym that they have available to use is basically only open when my husband and I had to work so we never got to use it, the pool felt like it was closed every other week for one reason or another. Same for the hot tub. Rent was difficult to turn in. Since they dont have an online method you have go in during office hours and turn in a check if you dont want to get slammed with fees. since neither my husband or I worked close to the apartment, that meant being late to work, leaving work early, or going in during lunch to pay rent. On top of that it almost felt like they make themselves more unavailable during the 3 days that rent is due at the beginning of the month. several times I waited around until about 9:20-9:30am for someone to just casually stroll in to take my rent, meaning I was even more late to work then I needed to be. The one time I tried to come in during my lunch break the door was shut and locked with the girl inside and only after I knocked on it several times did she open the door for me.If you think that you have a chance to get your deposit back youre dead wrong. Its really not even worth trying. Dont expect help from management either. We went to them to try and see what we can do to get our deposit back and they basically just said try your best and well see. We spent all day deep cleaning that apartment. we even found messes in the cupboards and behind the fridge that didnt even belong to us, meaning they were there before we moved in a year earlier. Our apartment was definitely cleaner when we left it then when we arrived, which should prove the care they put in the getting their apartments ready for you. After we did everything we could to make the place spotless, my husband went to turn in our keys and walked through our apartment with the manager and asked if there was anything we could do to make sure we can get something back of our deposit and she basically made some sort of excuse and basically said, well see. Two weeks later we not only didnt get any of our deposit back but we got a bill for $160. They charged a ridiculous amount to clean our already clean apartment on top of having us pay for the complexs utilities that we hardly used because they were mostly unavailable to us.The only redeeming quality that his place had is the LDS ward. we met some of the greatest people in that ward and they were the only reason that we even remotely hesitated about leaving. In summary: this complex has basically been a headache from start to finish and Im really glad that we left.
Thornhill are great to work with, we have dealt with a lot of apartments and like them the best. They are responsive to our needs and tolerant of challenges we bring.
Excellent apartments! I love this condo! You find everything around and the condo has everything. The service is amazing!
Awesome place to live, best bang for your buck. Staff is amazing and very responsive; grounds are very well kept and maintenance staff is blazing fast!
This place was awesome under the old management, now it allows pets and its turned into a toilet for pets, dead grass everywhere from urine and nobody picks up their pets poop. Disgusting!
Don’t even think about moving here. This apartment complex is not very trust worthy and they charge way more than they should for the condition and size of the apartments. The workers in the office are friendly and like to say they will help, and work with you but it will never end up in your favor, once they feel the time for talking is over and they want money, the nice attitude wears off quite a bit. They try and bribe the residents to give good reviews while they live there. It worked with me but now that I am moved out they want almost $500 for a move out fee on a studio apartment (390 sqft) that was cleaned, vacuumed, and professionally cleaned. All which I have a paid for already. Keep in mind my first cost was well under $200 to get the apartment cleaned better than it was when I first moved in. The staff are hard to work with in this mannor, there have been other occasions as well an it seems like they always have the upper hand. Not to mention tweakers and homeless hang out in the parking lot here all night and the staff will NOT get cops to patrol though night or pay for a security company like ALL the other complexes.
Management has been great to work with, deals with concerns in a timely manner. I love living here.
Live here if you want to be ripped off by RUDE people.First, they run monthly specials rewarding residents for their positive reviews...I lived here for just over a year. The apartment had 3 different shades of paint. You could tell where they painted over patches and didnt match the color. The windows are thin and you can feel wind around the edges. I had icicles between my window and my shutters. My carpet had spots they wouldnt fix when I moved in.The hours and amenities changed every 2 months. All of the reasons I moved in were gone by month 6.The staff are rude. I referred friends and they were so rude my friends wouldnt fill out an app.I asked them to do a pre-move-out inspection. And was told, it doesnt matter were charging you. I tried to explain that I wanted to clean everything myself in order to get my deposit back. I was told, we charge everyone even if its clean. Theres no way to get it back.
Very expensive, initially it looked like I would be paying 850-900 dollars. Somehow they have managed to sneak in 200 extra dollars in odd fees and expenditures, including paying for parking when I do not own a car, security camera fees (for game cameras which do not take actual video footage) and so on and so on.
I am only rating this 5 stars because this place is TERRIBLE and I want people to be able to see this. With that being said, I have lived here only 2 months. I left a $1200 luxury apartment to move here and to end up paying just as much for poor quality apartment. This is not worth the money I am paying.Reasons as to why :1. First week of living there I got complaints about smoking when I dont smoke.2. I cannot have my friends and their kids over without the neighbors around me banging on the walls. When the kids are only walking around or playing. Not being loud by any means3. The interior of these apartments are poorly modeled. I feel like I live in a runned down crusty motel. They defiantly make sure the outside looks nicer than the homes themselves. My closets doors are constantly breaking, tape holding down the base board on my floor, the ac is always messing up and not working, and not to mention I can not even enjoy a bath because the water seeps into the home below me. Everything is always breaking. No lights in my room or living room.4. Also they have charging all new tenants a 25 dollar fee for some campus maintenance that they dont people about when they move in.The management and staff are also not so professional and should tell their new tenants about this feeI am never one to leave a review but, this has been one of the worse living experiences thus far. If you are going to charge as much as you do to live then you should at least make the insides nicer..This place is worth 600 a month if that. The only thing you have going for you is the location
Since the apartments have been under new management I have been so happy with the office. Repairs and concerns are taken care of.
Wonderful place to stay. Very clean and beautiful environment and quick response for maintenance . I Love this place
I currently live here and have been since 2013. The first year here was great. Now, it is awful and I wouldnt recommend these apartments. The office staff are clueless when it comes to ANYTHING about whats going on with the property or rent and utilities. The staff make you feel like you are an inconvenience for them when you ask them a question or just to use the computer.I have had a concern about a trespasser and went to Chelsea (the manager) and she lied to my face about the problem and what she did to fix it.Also, they tell you the hot tub is year round and that is such a lie. The hot tub is open MAYBE half a year, if that.Maintenance is done often, without your knowledge, so you wake up with the sound of jackhammers, hammers banging on your roof or whatever they decide to do. These projects usually last all day. I tend get home around 6 or 7 and they are still doing these projects which is an inconvenience for me, considering this is dinner and family time. I have had to leave my house several times when they are working near or on my building because of the noise. On another note, Monty (maintenance) is my favorite employee on site. He is so friendly, takes care of any maintenance concern, and always has a good attitude.
A little over 6 months ago I was living here at Thornhill Park Apartments in Taylorsville. At 3 AM, my whole building caught fire and burned to the ground due to unknown causes. The official fire report said that the only logical cause was the air conditioning/heating units that were installed on the roofs of all of the apartments. During my stay at Thornhill Park I never saw anyone maintaining or cleaning the units. Although I have renters insurance that the apartment complex provided, they are not compensating a single dollar due to the unknown cause of the fire. Twenty units were destroyed, yet they are not allowing me to collect the Refundable Security Deposit that I provided them when I moved in. I have tried contacting managers multiple times just to get brushed off.If you want zero sense of safety or security move in here!
Great first place to live upon moving to the Salt Lake area! I have awsome neighbors, nice view and professional staff that take good care of my apt.here.......thanks guys-n-gals
Love living here, peaceful at times, Chelsea is sweet and the maintenance men are awesome, at the time I rated a 1, I wasnt too happy with certain neighbors, thats kinda lacked off, so hopefully itll continue, dont get me wrong, but when it comes too my children, imma momma bear when it comes too neighbors telling my 4 yo he cant play on my patio, or where Im watching him.ty peace out. I have nothing against the owners of the complex, nosy neighbors I do.
Chellci karley and courtni are all great and super helpful great community!! You get what you pay for
Honestly havent seen inside but outside looks great
I love living here stafff is amazing and their on top of everything.
Looking for a apartment now...
I absolutely love living here. Great people.
Moving to Salt Lake from New York City, I had little knowledge about the areas of SLC and how the rental process works, which is extremely different. I have had multiple issues since living here, including re-signing leases multiple times due to issues with signatures, being given a smoking apartment when my lease was actually signed for a non-smoking apartment, etc. When washers and dryers were installed I signed a lease 2 months before they actually were installed and had a closet removed the entire 2 months, and was initially expected to pay the increased rent without having the washer and dryer. That being said, when the new hot water heater was placed in the apartment, they did not place it on a metal base, and is still to this day sitting on my carpeted floors (which is potentially a fire hazard). Throughout the winter, my heat went out 4 times, and on the last attempt to fix it, the maintenance guy gave me a space heater to keep next to my bed because they didnt know how to fix it. Needless to say, the next person who will be renting my unit will not have heat. Lastly, after living in many apartments across in many states across the country, I have never heard of a 1 year lease switching to a month-to-month rental agreement without a 60 day notice that you will vacate, when your lease is supposed to end. I thought that was the reason for signing a one year lease, rather than a month to month rental agreement. I have also been told different days of my lease termination.... ranging from 3 different weeks, that being said, I missed my 60 day notice that I will leave the apartment when I was supposed to and am stuck paying for an extra month rent, without me even living in the state of Utah. I am not one to write reviews or to complain, but especially for those moving from out of town, there are nicer apartments, in nicer areas (I caught a guy looking into my car and pulling on the handle one morning as I was leaving for work), for similar prices.
Its ok but when i wanna sit outside i get complaints that im being nosy, when im keeping an eye on my boys, mainly when hubby goes too work, so i feel like a hermit cause i cant sit outside without neighbors pitching a fit, they need too mind their business, like i do mind mine. Or when i go for walks around the pool too ease my anxiety i get yelled at cause of nosy neighbors.
Great location, plenty of things around within walking distance. The Jordan River Park is right nearby, the Walmart is right next door, and theres tons of restaurants in the area. If you need to get around the I-215 is literally right next to the apartment complex. If someone living with you is attending school, Taylorsville high is also very close by as well as an elementary school, and the community college is a couple of minutes away driving. Unfortunately, it takes a minute to get to I-15.The complex itself has plenty of things in terms of recreation, as they have a racquetball court, a tennis court, dog park, volleyball field as well as a gym and a pool. The staff is friendly, and generally available unless theyre giving a tour of the apartments. I havent had any problems with the administration during my 9 years living here.Pricing for the apartments themselves a little high, but thats my only complaint.
My fiance and I had called their number and we got an appointment to go see an apartments two days later. When we went into the leasing office there was another lady in front of us. The only lady that was in the office sat being her desk and ignored the other lady for three to five minutes. Then my fiance and I waited another five minutes and when the lady finally noticed us she said in a very rude and inappropriate tone what do you two need. After which I told her that we had an appointment to see an apartment and her words were Thats great you had an appointment but there is no one here to show you around but you can come back later. There is not a point in having a hotline for future residents to call to schedule appointments if there is one rude raunch in the office that chased away customers because of her behavior. Thank you so much for the crappy service at Thornhill Park Apartments.
Ive lived in these apartments for 2 and a half years now, and I can honestly say they have gone down hill ever sense AMC bought them. They have horrible management, crappy maintenance, and our cars keep getting broken into.Last year the apartment building behind ours burnt to the ground, from what everyone assumes was an AC unit located on the roof, but they have kept that really hush hush.Earlier this year we had a hot water line break under our floor, and it took them three weeks, and us threatening them with lawyers before they called the plummer to come take a look. the plummer had to cut a hole in the linoleum, and concrete in order to fix the leak... still to this day ( 5 months later) I have a huge hole in my linoleum, because they havent fixed it.Every month management tries to charge us the renters insurance waver fee even though they have a copy, AND theyre listed as a third party on my renters insurance... Its very frustrating to say the least. The number one reason why were leaving is because our cars have been broken into twice in the past two weeks, and once before when we first moved in. My husband spoke to the head maintenance man last week to see if their dumb game trail cameras caught anything, and he said all they do is take a picture every three minutes.. So i guess that was a no..These are just some of the things we have dealt with while living here, and at this point the bad is out weighing the good.
I have lived here since 2013. Since this place was sold to new owners, they have become rip off artists and liars. I went from paying $925 Which included utilities the wnd of last year to $1019.16 due on the 1st. I resigned my lease in May. They said my rwnt would go up $25 which it did. They said utilities would be about $40 a month which is b.s. since the bill i just got was $82.16. My rent has gone up $94.00 since November. Then a manager said she would fix it and never got back to me and nothing changed but went up. Dont move here...it,s a trap!!!
I have lived at Thornhill since before they were Thornhill! (they used to be called Springhill). I have never been happier with an apartment complex. My neighbors are quiet, i never hear them and I work odd hours. Once in a while I will hear a door shut hard.. but that’s it!They recently started accepting pets, which means I finally got to bring my kitty home with me!I love the Management company and all the “girls” in the office, they are very friendly and helpful…. They have even walked me through the online rent payment more times than I can count. (one of these times I will remember how to do it!)I have not one complaint about the mangament, maintenance, etc. I plan on staying until they don’t let me anymore lol!!!
I stayed here for a few days in December a few years ago when it was going by two names, Thornhill and Springhill. I booked through a major online travel site that required that I commit 100% to staying there to get the low rate that was proffered. I arrived exhausted from traveling, in no condition for a conflict with someone. The chubby redheaded woman in the office made me feel very unwelcome from the moment I arrived. She was a meany with a lot of attitude. That overshadowed everything else about my stay. I liked the price. My room was small but very clean. I was pleased that it was furnished with cheap but usable kitchenware. I was pleased with the weight room. I was pleased with the computer access that allowed me to leave my laptop at home. I thought the lobby was attractively done. All of the employees except that one redhead smiled and were friendly to me. I would have enjoyed my stay had it not been for that awful first impression made by that one woman upon my arrival. The vast majority of strangers in the area are very friendly. Thats one of the things that makes the whole SLC metro area so attractive, such a desirable place to live or visit. It was quite a surprise to encounter the antithesis of that friendliness upon arriving at Thornhill/Springhill. I would NEVER spend another nanosecond at this place even if it was all expenses paid.
Apartment is excellent in all aspects. Its nice to stay in Thornhill Park Apartments.
First I will start off with the positive cause theres only one thing. The maintenance is almost great. They promptly helped with any issues that were had. The staff in the office is a mess though. I would call out names of the specific office people who been absolutely disgusting to more then one of us on more then one occasion, but fortunately I dont know their names, other then Cambry (shes got to go)!!!! Another one was a red haired lady that has some nasty lip on her too! And there was a blonde haired lady at one point as well and she was nice when we came to her with an issue she gave attitude at first but she really turned it around and helped the customer as needed. Anyway moving on, im going to give a few examples of how horridly wretched this place is. They will go in your home with out permission whenever they want to. (now i know why some of the things go missing randomly!!!) They will increase your rent $!0 or more a month AGAIN WITH OUT PERMISSION!! nor contract of it going up every month. They will give you noise complaints when you havent even been home the night before or you were sleeping. They WILL NOT I REPEAT WILL NOT SOLVE ISSUES FOR YOU ONLY TALK BACK TO YOU!!! They treat their tenants/customers like complete garbage. And honestly they dont even deserve the one star that google makes me give them. i could go on and on about this place. the neighbors arent even friendly either nor welcoming this is literally the taylorsville prison of redwood road. Even look at the response of the Thornhill Park they arent even sincere at all. computer generated with WE ARE THRILLED.... BLAH BLAH BLAH!! I feel bad for anyone who makes this their future home its no home especially if you were to have small children they told the tenant the kids couldnt play outside!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? There are so many better homes out there guys. Dont pick this one, its not worth the time or the money its like living in a box inside the prison wallsgood day good night choose wisely thanks for reading
We lived in Thornhill Park (previously Springhill Apartments) for a year. We originally signed a 6 month lease and was forced to renew whenever we couldnt find a different place to move. When we first moved in we had all kinds of issues - the knobs on the stove were broken, the toilet ran all the time, lights were out and the internet jack was all messed up (and required the internet company to come out and fix it). We later had washer/dryer issues and the water heater stopped working. Maintenance always came out within 1-2 days to fix things, but it was just a hassle having to call all the time. The summer we moved in, the pool was shut down because of pump problems and we often found that the hot tub was never cleaned and was broken often as well. There were a few times we would invite friends over only to walk down there and find cold water :(. Another major downfall is they allow smoking in the apartments - any apartment. Our neighbor smoked, profusely, and we were forced to buy an air purifier. It only helped sometimes, but during the winter we had to keep the bathroom and bedroom door shut because it would leak through really badly. Guests would think that we had been smoking! Our just over 500 square foot apartment had a rent increase of $50 a month, yes A MONTH when we went to resign our 6 month lease. We got them to waive it... But they increased it $106 A MONTH- thats almost $1300 a YEAR when our lease went up again. Thats when we decided it was time to move on, for sure. So, we received our Intent to vacate notice on our door one day, we were out of town and brought the paper down to the office and turned it in. Before we moved out, we went down to the office and verfied our move out date and if we should expect any charges. They checked our paperwork and told us we should be good to go, as long as we cleaned thoroughly. So, we moved out on the day our lease ended, brought everything up to the office and, again, no one said anything to us. A week or so later we received a bill for $154 because we did not turn in our Intent to vacate form 60 days from the day our lease ended!!! What is crap is THEY provided the form 4 days AFTER the 60 day mark had passed! How shady is THAT?! NO where on the notice did it say that by not turning it in ASAP that you would be charged, OR did it say that you would already be charged because they provided the notice late. After trying to talk to management they wouldnt reply to any emails, and wouldnt budge in person. Apparently the notice is a courtesy --- in my opinion you arent doing someone a favor by intentionally providing a notice once charges have ALREADY been incurred. A courtesy is a reminder BEFORE this happens. Our lease had been “adjusted” for +6 days (what’s the point of a lease then?!) which means WE moved out 6 days earlier than we had too, leaving them to rent it to someone NEW and to received DOUBLE rent on our apartment!!!Clearly they are more concerned in operating a business than pleasing their tenants. If you move in, BEWARE. Take pictures of the apartment, and document everything. They WILL nickel and dime you!Update: After continuing to argue with management about the amount owed, they keep changing their story. The want to charge us for 6/1-6/7, but our lease ended 6/2. They also want to charge us a daily rate of $25.50, when our daily rate should be $21.73. Its beyond ridiculous!
Your neighbors are rude they dont mind their business management they are rude like for example if you need something fixed in your apartment thats like pulling teeth
Thornhill park apartments bad living disgusting and rude people, maintenance is terrible dont know how to do nothing lazy bunch of scumbags, and rude management are extremely rude very lazy never there when people need something or have a question office is very disgusting never clean very rude people around, area outside never clean it is like a garbage dump and the apartments and the area is like a prison and the people are inmates..........and it is completely a ripoff........ dont bother stopping in go someplace else.......... very terrible service............
