Our AC stopped working during a heat wave. Called many places who did not return calls and those that did, did not show up. Called Rapid Response and Boyd the owner answered directly and managed to fit us in his very busy schedule. He was very honest and fixed our AC unit. He was very informative, respectful, professional and price was very reasonable. We will only use his services from here on out and will recommend him to all our friends and family.

We came home from vacation on a Sunday afternoon around 2 pm to find our A/C unit not working. Of course on the hottest weekend of the year.I immediately started calling (only 4.5-5 star rated) companies in an attempt to find someone that would come out and take a look at it asap.Boyd at Rapid Response was the ONLY one that offered to come out that evening. I could tell when I originally called he was with family, I could hear kids in the background. He told me he could be out in a couple hours. He was there as promised and determined our unit was not repairable. At that point I thought we would be looking at a week or more out to get a new unit ordered and get on the schedule for the replacement. Not the case, he had Daniel, one of his technicians at our house at 9:30 am the next day. Daniel was prepping the area for the new equipment and Boyd, the owner, showed up 30 minutes later with the new A/C. They were amazing and did a terrific job!!!! They will be back in the fall to check up on the new unit and our furnace to make sure we are all set for winter.I highly recommend this company!!

Long story short, I NEED my AC in the summer. When my AC stopped working in June, I started freaking out. Other companies were booking a week out, these guys made time for me the next day. Theyre awesome. On time, polite, friendly, professional. It was a small fix, but Im extremely happy. They will be my first call every time.

The tech was friendly and knowledgeable. He got our AC up and running much faster and at a much lower price than they originally quoted us. These guys have our business if our AC craps out again.

I honestly wish I could give these guys a 100 star review. I called them on a Thursday night to come look at our AC unit because it wasn’t working, they came the next day on Friday and were very efficient and quick in telling us all the facts. Unfortunately we needed to replace our unit. They were booked until Monday, I expressed concern about the heat because of our newborn baby and they were very understanding and worked us in (even though I’m sure this was inconvenient for them). They came early the next morning and had it all done by 1 pm. They were kind in explaining the why to us which made me feel better that we weren’t being scammed. I will never use another hvac company. You CANNOT go wrong by using these guys.

I just had Boyd install a heater in my garage. His guys showed up on time, and were clean and professional. The work was done in a timely manner, and they cleaned up after themselves. I had two other companies come out and take a look at our furnace and they told me that my control board was shot. One company even charged me a $79 diagnostic fee for a false answer! This company came in and had it working within 5 minutes since it was just a loose fuse. They did NOT try to sell me something I didnt need or make up something to repair. I have never left a Google review before but this company sure deserves it. It was nice to finally deal with an honest repairman. I will definitely use them again!

We called late in the afternoon on a Friday of a really hot weekend to see if someone could come figure out why our AC wasnt working. Our entire HVAC system had been replaced only 2 years previously. Boyd and his guys came a few hours later and repaired the parts of our system that had been neglected and explained why it stopped functioning. Our home was cool again the same day. They were honest and upfront through their visit and kept us updated along the way. We immediately signed up for their maintenance program to ensure the longevity of our new equipment. Im so glad we found Rapid Response Heating and Air (after dealing with different companies who only applied bandaids to issues that needed to be addressed more thoroughly). I would recommend Rapid Response Heating and Air to anyone!

Rapid response was the only company that could install an AC unit the next week. Mine stopped working on Friday, they could come Monday, and it was too hot to wait three weeks for anyone else. The five star reviews made me comfortable with this choice.They said they could do the entire install in one day. Monday, two Techs came and told me what they were installing. There was no choice on unit, which is weird to me, but it was a reasonable cost. They starting the install, then around noon left to pick up some needed parts saying they would return in an hour. More than an hour later, they called saying that they had tracked down the last coil in Utah that fit my house in Ogden because of an aluminum shortage. They would be coming back late due to the extra time to get it. When they came back, they said it was too late to finish the attic work, and they would come back the next day.The next day, two different Techs arrived. One said he had only been working for a week, the other told me he was given the wrong coil by the guys who did the Ogden drive the day before. He waited for a different on to be delivered. He said I needed to also pay for a new pump and kill switch. Later, he said he had a pump with a internal kill switch he would install to save me money. They had issues getting the system working and called someone else out because of a line blockage outside. They got it running.Next morning, the house was getting hot so I called. A tech came and said the coil was frozen and needed to melt before he could do anything. He turned everything off and left a while. (I read later that this melting process requires towels and a watchful eye to prevent water damage). He returned and said the blockage during install probably caused the issue and it just needed to melt, he fixed the AC fluid levels and it was working.The next morning, water was dripping down the walls in the bathroom. I called and they came out again. I was told by the Tech that the ice had broken off and plugged draining. Also, it was the wrong sized pump. They cleaned up and did the repairs. They said they would send someone to repair the bathroom. The cooler finally seemed to be fully working. They did take care of the bathroom painting with a construction company. It took the painting company two tries to fully seal and paint the bathroom because of the large brown water stains coming through from the attic.Now, occasionally, I hear a high pitched buzz from the indoor AC portion in the attic. I regret using them.Update: I had another company that I trust (Just Right Heating and Air) come review the work. It seems they installed an AC unit that is borderline too large to function well with the furnace. Freezing over will be an issue. They taught me to use cheaper, thinner, furnace filters for better air flow (change them monthly) and to turn off the system if I notice it get iced up causing short cycling.To be fair, I am glad I received quick service when I needed it, and that they repaired their damage, although I wish the compatibility of the new unit would have been better at the front end to avoid the trouble. I will not use them again.Read the response. This is my counter response:1- No one told me about the unit options before it was installed, one price and one unit possible. 2- I did not refuse the wet switch, they said they had a switch on the unit and didnt need to install one. It would not be rational for me not to install the wet switch. Or, for a company to install a pump without requiring a wet switch. 3- I do not ever run my cooler below 72 degrees ever, usually above 75. 4- Yes, they repainted my bathroom, after destroying it so they could avoid using their insurance. My bathroom was fine before the system leaked for faulty installation. 5- A good company, that you can trust, doesnt blame their customers in their review response. Again... I would never use this company again and recommend that everyone else chooses someone who wont lie in their review response.

Boyd and his team did an excellent job installing a new furnace after it was determined that the old one was leaking carbon monoxide. They also corrected a myriad of problems with the furnace exhaust. They were polite, kind, respectful and clean. My home is safe and warm thanks to Rapid Response Heating & Air.

After another company did a no call no show for no heat, a week before Christmas and no money, my mom reached out to the person her land lady has used. It was a long shot, but THANKFULLY Boyd was A) available, not only in a day or two, but happened to be in the neighborhood and was there in less than an hour ( I know that this was a remarkable stroke of luck not the norm) and offered to hold onto my check a few days until my pay day ( again a stroke of luck after a not so great couple of days, not the norm.) I just wanted to share what a phenomenal first experience I had with Boyd. Its my hope that if someone is attempting to discern what company to go with and it comes down to reviews, this might set his company apart. I hadnt heard anything about them prior to my moms referral. Ill be using them from now on.

These guys are amazing. Called them at noon after my building maintenance team had basically told me to take a hike and they were here by 330 and out by 430. The whole job was quick, the team was professional and I had A/C back in less than a day. I doubt any other company in salt lake can give you results that quickly at such a fair price. I would recommend these guys to anyone with an HVAC issue, especially if youre on a time crunch.

I called Rapid Response for a second opinion after having another company come look at my furnace that had told me I need a whole new unit. Boyd and his guys came in and found that it just needed a simple part. They had it fixed in a few hours and only cost me a couple hundred dollars as opposed to thousands. Was very nervous about the cost of having to call a professional to come out and take a look at my central air issue. Decided to give Rapid Response a try based on their reviews. I was extremely satisfied with everything! They were to my house within a few hours. They gave me great detail on my problems and explained how I could avoid them in the future. They also explained how I could fix my main issue, which was fairly simple. They gave me the option of working it out on my own, or gave me prices for them to do it. Extremely grateful they gave me those options instead of just moving forward with it and charging hundreds of dollars. Instead, my issue was resolved and I only had to spend about $60. Will definitely be using them for any other heating and air problems!

We had a new years day surprise- our furnace woke us up with strange noises. By 7 PM, it had completely stopped working. I contacted four different local repair companies via their websites by 8 PM new years day, and Rapid Response called me by 9 PM (On a holiday!)They were out at 830 the next morning, and while it took all day, they stayed at it until we had heat. They were personable and did a great job! Super happy with their work!

Our AC went out yesterday at 3PM, 96 degrees out. They were able to come out at 6PM, diagnose the blown compressor, get us quotes, come out at 8AM the next morning and have a brand new efficient and super quiet Trane installed and running before 1PM. Literally less than 24hrs from when our AC broke to having a new one running IN THE DEAD MIDDLE OF THE SUMMER. Dolton and Wyatt were awesome installing it and Boyd followed up to make sure everything went smoothly. Well, it went smoother than smoothly. Cant thank these guys enough, I found my new go-to HVAC company.

Sunday service; made wife happy! Called Sunday morning first thing as I needed a capacitor for my condenser; I had already diagnosed the problem. The owner took my call and sold me a capacitor -- he was waiting for me when I arrived -- good thing I got the owner. This happened 1 year ago on Sunday as well, and I couldnt find anybody on Sunday in the Ogden area that would sell me a capacitor since I wasnt a licensed contractor. Its a moderate drive from Ogden to SLC, but now I know who to call if I ever have another problem on a Sunday when others are unwilling to sell parts for DIYs.
