Best shop I have ever been to. My first and only choice for sure.
They were listed as the only place on a Saturday afternoon in Rolla. I need emissions testing and they were supposedly open. Nobody answers the phone at noon. Drove there and the lit up neon sign in front says OPEN. I park and walk up to the door and theres a paper taped to the door saying closed saturdays until further notice. Would be great to know they are closed all day saturdays instead of open until 2PM.
Friendly, reasonable prices and complete transparent repairs.
Great people and got my Jeep all fixed up
Brock came in clutch took me in when no one else would. Was traveling from Chicago to Phoenix broke down in Missouri and he wanted to make sure I could get back in the road as soon as possible.had an oil pan gasket leaking oil bad and they got me fixed up in a day I really appreciate them and their team they did a fantastic job and were very friendly.
Brock and the rest of the team at Aamco in Rolla, MO have been incredible to us! We had our transmission randomly go out on our 2009 GMC Yukon on a Monday... we had it towed up to Aamco the next day, Tuesday, where they diagnosed it for us and Brock took the time to explain to me all of our options. He did not leave one questions unanswered. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to make me feel rest assured that they would take care of it. We opted in for the reman transmission (with a 3 year/unlimited mile warranty)... they ordered and had the reman transmission at their shop by Thursday and by Friday afternoon - they were done! Incredible speed...as I thought we would end up without the vehicle for several weeks to be honest. So it was wonderful feeling like we were top priority, even if they had dozens of more customers...we FELT like #1 to them and that was important to us...we really didnt want to have to be without our vehicle for very long.We did end up having a small leak coming from one of the hoses after about a week (which isnt really uncommon)... but the second I told Brock about it, he had it up at Aamco, fixed the issue (which wasnt any fault of theirs)...and did a once-over on entire transmission to ensure all was good. I am more than pleased with their expertise, customer service, and hospitality! I will be recommending all I know to send their vehicle to Aamco in Rolla for any transmission needs! Thank you Brock and all at Aamco who helped us!
Great service! Would recommend!
Highly recommend this place! Our daughter was traveling to school when her car broke down. We had it towed to this location and we could not have chosen a better place. These guys worked to get her back on the road quickly without taking advantage of the situation. Their work and customer care are top notch. Got an auto issue ... don’t hesitate to use this business.
I cannot say enough positive to do my experience with this business justice. I have an old farm truck that is having to serve as a daily 50mi round trip driver and it began having issues. I have terrible anxiety when it comes to car repair shops and the unfair and unscrupulous up-sale to women with car issues (sorry, but true). They worked my truck in, same day, and had me out feeling like I was very blessed to have found them. Things I have avoided getting fixed on it for years just because of my fears were easily corrected and reasonably and thoroughly explained. I left with full confidence in their work and money well spent.
Im changing my previous 5 star rating to a 1 star rating. Google shows that they close at 2pm on Saturday, but I guess everyone left early today as no one would answer the phone after 1:30pm. I understand employees want to go home, but if the posted hours are 2pm then there should be someone there until 2pm to answer calls and or book appointments for a later date. Thats fine, Ill take my business down the road...
Brock, Don and the rest of the team were AWESOME. Explained everything. Didn’t upcharge on “diagnostics” like some places. 30+ minutes from us but this is our new go to place. Thank you.
Brock and Brandon are the best! I dont know how AAMCO prices compare to elsewhere, because Id never take my car anywhere else. Theyve dropped off my car at work when I couldnt pick it up before they closed and they know me by first name. Theyre always willing to help me out in any way they can.
I broke down on I-44 and limped in with transmission trouble. They took a look and saw it wasnt going to be possible to fix that night even if they stayed late and went the extra mile to help me get what I needed to get on my way home. They diagnosed the problem accurately, communicated well and fixed it promptly. A week later when I could make it back, I drove it straight out of the shop 300 miles home with no problem. There may be some shade tree guys with lower rates, but this is a great shop, and they charged me fairly. Highly recommended.
I called to speak to someone and they answered the phone, didnt say anything then hung up. When I called back, they just let the phone ring.
They were very helpful
Would not go anywhere else! These guys have taken care of our car and van for years! Brock is awesome at explaining what needs to be done and why. He has picked up my vehicle for me and taken it in while Im at work, he gives me a ride home while I wait for repairs. I never feel Im being taken advantage of....These guys are the real deal! Been using them about 10 years and wont go anywhere else! Thanks Brock!
Best place in town, trustworthy staff, they are very friendly. Good prices, never have screwed me over
Brandon was there for me at the drop of a hat. I called him while I was traveling from STL to Springfield needing an oil change that I had forgotten to get that I was in pretty desperate need of and he got me right in to get it done. He was informative, precise and very cost efficient. I would definitely recommend taking your vehicle to his establishment.
The service I received here was exemplary. Traveling from NM to NY (and towing a trailer with a minivan), I began to have transmission issues that seemed serious enough that I didnt know if my van could finish the trip. I stopped off at AAMCO in Rolla MO. They took a close look at it, and before making a conclusive diagnosis, even reconnected the trailer to the van to recreate the exact driving conditions causing the issue that I was experiencing. Just incredible attention to detail! Id never towed a heavy trailer for such a long distance before, and turns out there wasnt anything wrong that couldnt be fixed with a few driving modifications. They put considerable effort into getting everything straightened out, and also making absolutely certain that my van could safely complete the trip to NY. And after all that, and to my amazement, they didnt charge me anything since the van didnt end up needing repairs. In my experience a knowledgeable, reliable, and trustworthy mechanic is worth their weight in gold.
Quick service on the company van, very down to earth owner and decent staff
Had my car break down late at night about 20 miles out of town so I had it towed to AAMCO and I stayed in the Rustic Inn which is about 5 blocks away. Went to AAMCO right when they opened and explained my situation (the transmission fluid line had slipped off, spilling out all my transmission fluid), they were able to fix it and had me on my way for about $125 total. Overall positive experience and nice people working there. If I lived in the area I would make this place my regular car service place.
A friend interested in purchasing my car took it here to have it inspected so that the plates could be renewed. Recognizing his lack of knowledge of car maintenance, they charged him 30$ for a standard $12 inspection and rejected it claiming $400+ in repairs were needed. This surprised me as the car has never been wrecked since I purchased it 6 years ago, and has passed multiple inspections in those years. After the rejection, I looked at and tested the damaged parts myself and took it to another local repair shop for a second opinion. We both have decided that though the parts have the appearance of age, they are in functional condition and not in need of replacement. In conclusion, I only recommend this shop to people who enjoy wasting money.
Ive taken vehicles here for a couple years now and had great service. One time we took our van in after a Toyota dealership told of us several necessary repairs while they were doing a recall fix on it. Aamco double checked the belts Toyota said needed replaced and said there was no need to replace them and the other needed fix was also not necessary. A separate time we took a vehicle in after it appeared to be a leak in the AC lines. They looked it over and checked several things but couldnt find anything wrong. I must have driven through some sort of fluid that had been sprayed on the bottom of the vehicle and it was just dripping off. They didnt even charge us anything for looking everything over. These guys certainly arent out to swindle you.
I would like to thank you guys for taking care of one of my customers while being out of town for school. I greatly appreciate having good shops around that I can trust to send my customers to when traveling. Thanks,Jeff BanksJ & S AutomotiveSpringfield MO
They are quick and cheap. Lastly VERY NICE gentlemen.
Awful place! They will scam you if you dont get work done directly through them or who they refer you to! My car went in for inspection and at first I can agree my car was messed up however I had my car properly fixed so it would pass inspection but because I didnt buy his parts and pay his outrageous fees to fix a 5min $20part he failed my car for inspection for a second time. What a huge waste of $12 he charged me to just purposely try to make sure stuff was going to be wrong with my car...
Because they took the car and charged 2 diagnostics and then said they didnt have the tools to fix it in the first place. It had had to be towed there and then towed to a dealership. A lot of money spent literally for nothing!
I had a very good experience with this shop. I was working with them from out of town. Barack (hope I spelled the name right) is a straight-shooter. The work was done quickly and reasonably.
Great friendly service. Fast and reasonable.
They fixed the trans on my 2000 jimmy 2 1/2 years ago, did a good job. what seemed like the same problem just happened again about a week ago. Took it back because we are still under 3/36 warranty. this time the sunshell was cracked. Brock checked it out and said 5 or 6 days to fix. We made plans for my wife to get rides to work 20 miles away. He knew we needed the vehicle, to my suprise he had it done in 4 days. I commend them for honoring the warranty no questions asked. The truck is shifting great. I would recommend the Rolla AAMCO to anyone having transmission trouble.
Great customer service and great work. Highly recommend taking your vehicle here!
My son is in the military and bought a car in El Paso Tx. I took over payments when he went to Kuwait. He got the transmission replaced in El Paso by an AAMCO store that warrantied the transmission for a year with unlimited mileage, that cost over $3200. Long story short, we ended up at the AAMCO in Rolla Mo because the transmission went out again. On the last day of the warranty. Brock the manager, said it was no longer warranted and that we would need to pay full price of $3200. I said no it is still under warranty, that he needs to check the date again and I needed it taken care of. I contacted the other AAMCO and the gentleman there told me Brock the current AAMCO told him it was out of warranty. I explained to the gentleman in Texas that it was delivered to Brocks AAMCO in Rolla out of the date but was towed before warranty was up. The AAMCO agreed to send Brock another transmission. Brock then told us at that point that it would cost you $1200 for us to put it in. He finally got the part after 5-6 weeks of having it in his shop. I asked him about the warranty on the car. He told me that he would not warrant the car and then turned around and Said he would only warrant the car for six months.Brock finally took the transmission out and then he told me that we would have to replace the drive shaft with some spindles and the total cost would be what he originally quoted me, $3200. This was after he had the car for approximately 6 weeks. He tripled his original quote and expected me to pay for it. When I got the bill he charged over $2400 in labor. The part that he installed only cost $700. The whole process was not fair and in order to get my car back I had to pay Brock his money. Now, I am out over $6000 because of AAMCO not fixing the problem from the beginning.
Asked for a basic oil change and got charged for adding windshield wiper fluid and coolant that I never asked for. I am perfectly capable of adding windshield wiper fluid myself.
Very nice man who helped me and gave me a diagnosis of what was wrong with my car.
Do not go here! I wrote a positive review 2 years ago. I was wrong! Read other negative reviews and thought this place was just getting picked on. So I tried to say something nice. I was wrong! There is a reason for the negative reviews. Will update later with more info of how bad they messed up then tried to swindle me out of more money! You have been warned.06 VW Jetta GLIUPDATE!!!So after completely removing my motor which had dropped due to the terrible work these people have done. So The motor dropped because they used JB Weld to fix it!!!! this is not okay. Then after I write this review then manager called me up and admitted that he used JB weld and that he told me it was going to fail. This infuriated me. Who in their right mind would ever have someone do any work when the mechanic tells them it is going to fail....!!! Then Brock Bouse tells me how easy it would be to go to my business and write bad reviews on my page. We have not done any work for anyone of them or anyone associated with this company. It was a clear threat. I have this all documented.Brocks explanation for the reason they had to JB weld it was because the block broke where it attaches to the motor mounts and it is aluminum and just needs to be replaced. So as soon as i got the motor out i could easily see it wasnt an aluminum block it was cast steel( magnet sticks right to it)....When the motor dropped it bent my turbo housing and has ruined that, has ripped several wires, broken or stretched several bolts, ripped several hoses ( vacuum, brake, oil lines, and much more), broke my timing belt cover and shaved my timing belt. I am check the valves later today to see if any are bent or damaged. I am also taking the block to be welded. The cost to weld the fix.... dundundundun......$40... so why would anyone use JB weld on a part that clearly would exert far to much lateral tension!!!!!!?????!!!!! These people do not know what they are doing..... They refuse to help with the costs and claim zero responsibility. Please help me spread the word. This company is dangerous.
On my way to OKC the air conditioner iny my car started blowing hot air. Called and explained my situation anb Brock got me in and 1.5 hour later was back on road.
A little pricey for refurbished transmissions
