ZERO STARS!!!I anxiously arrived at RFD last week and couldnt wait to pick up my 5 passenger hybrid Ford Fusion that I reserved online only to find out that the Hertz counter is closed, and has been closed since March. UNACCEPTABLE!!!I called the number on the memo, but the other Hertz office in town wasnt any help, either. They had a vehicle, but I had to find my own way there to pick up a vehicle and also return it there, finding my own way back to the airport.Really???There were two other rental agencies at the airport, and they did not have any vehicles at the moment. I had to wait about two hours until someone returned a vehicle. Fortunately, the price was only slightly higher given the extremely short notice I needed a vehicle.What an experience!

I am as upset as I have ever been with a business. I reserved a mini van (through AAA) MONTHS ago for a special family vacation many months in the making. I called AAA multiple times to confirm the reservation and make sure everything was in place. Went to pick up the van for the trip... THEY DIDNT HAVE ONE. They said all they could give us was an SUV that could seat the same # of people, but that wont work for us because we need to fit 2 car seats and still fit a 3rd child in back. Person helping us was very unapologetic and just kept saying there was nothing they could do. We already had our hotel reservations made, bags packed, dogs dropped off for boarding, children excited to leave, and plans for the day and week. Had to leave empty handed, ended up finding a mini van through Enterprise but theyre not open until the morning, so we lose about half a day of our vacation. Not to mention it cost over $300 more for the same thing. So much extra stress on top of the stress of planning a vacation. THANKS FOR NOTHING HERTZ.

Have rented from Hertz the last four or five times I was in Rockford over the last two years. Service has been impeccable. Cars have been low mileage very clean and problem free. Staff is extremely helpful and act like they love their jobs and want to provide good service. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to rent a car in Rockford.

We rented a Jeep from this location for 5 days, we didnt notice until we were 30 minutes away that the Jeep we received had quite a bit of front end damage on drivers side (It looked like someone had pulled the fender out trying to hide the damage) the dash indicators said the left front turn signal wasnt working. The car was also full of dog hair in the rear.....supposedly no animals are allowed in Hertz rentals?We called the Hertz desk at the airport and the guy had no clue the vehicle was damaged and dirty. They offered to exchange the vehicle but we were already 30 minutes away and didnt have time to go back in the wrong direction we were traveling. I also contacted the manager and she was also clueless.I will never rent another vehicle from Hertz.....they did absolutely nothing to rectify us paying over 300 dollars to rent this Jeep.....piss poor customer service, pics poor maintenance on the vehicles.

I was at the general aviation fixed based operator and every thing was set up for me. Just had to sign and go. Very easy and had my car waiting by the aircraft. Would recommend them again. Thanks

I rented a van for a family trip from this location for 12 days. When we got into the car, it was dirty; there were empty baggies that had food in them found in the van. There were also crumbs in most of the seats. I returned the van on a Sunday and on Monday they charged me an additional $70. When I called the location to get information about the extra charge, the woman that answered the phone sounded like she was put out and basically read from a script and told me to call their 800 number. When I asked her how she could charge me but not explain what the charges were for, she interrupted me, spoke VERY rudely and told me again to call the 800 number. When I called the 800 number I got an answer for the reason for the charge (if you return on a day that theyre closed, they WILL charge you for not returning the vehicle on time and youll have to wait for several business days to see a refund) and that woman was nice and helpful. I spent a lot of money renting from Hertz and shouldve had a clean car and good customer service. Based on this experience, Ill never rent from them again.

This location is the worse that I have rented out of, the personnel has no clue of what they are doing. I returned a car around 2:00 pm and no one was around, so I dropped the keys in the mailbox. Three days later they were still charging me because they didnt know how to unlock the car with the fob. Their service is the worse and their hours of operation are not many. Stay away from this place...

Had a reservation through Hertz and this location gave me a different (higher) amount. Reservations said they (RFD) would adjust the amount when you bring the car back. Well, it’s been 2 months now and no reimbursement. Stay away from this location

It was quick and easy for the car rental. It was set up before we arrived. Picked up the keys and away we went.

Have you ever tried using this site in another country. There is no visable means of putting it in english,

100% trash car and was charged $450 for 2 days. The forced insurance is a scam and the whole experience was a total ripoff. Rent from literally anywhere else.
