Really reasonable prices. Wide selection. Super friendly staff. I will definitely be a return customer. Small cars for as low as $35 a day. Nice stylish SUVS for about $70 per day. Prices are cheaper for weekly rentals. They also have vans and trucks for moving or side jobs. They have several locations in town and out of town. Costs more if the car is returned to a different local than the one that the car is rented from.
While my experience with Enterprise was good with them picking up and once in the office the service was great. What I dont like is how they basically screw you over with the prepay fuel charge. My car was at the dealership being fixed and by it being Friday I didnt expect to get it back until the following Monday but to my surprise they had it fixed the next day, unfortunately I was at work and they would be closed by the time I got off. It ended up snowing really bad so I didnt get the opportunity to use up all the gas I prepaid for. Im not driving through a dangerous snow storm to burn out gas. Now I understand it alright but I basically paid $25 and some change for a day and a half of usage. Which I only used a quarter of a tank, when I got the car it was 3/4 full and I brought it back on half. I just think we should get the remaining balance of our money back for gas we didnt use. Thats extra money going to Enterprise for no good reason. I definitely will not be doing that again if I decide to rent from any company. You better off refueling yourself and with plenty of rewards from gas stations itll probably be cheaper in the long run.
All of the service reps were most kind and courteous. Cameron was very helpful and took the time to explain everything on the Malibu!! Good thing he did, because I would have been worried about the auto shut off turn on feature at the stop lights. THANK YOU SO MUCH CAMERON!!! And a big thank you to the drivers that picked us up and took us back. I will be using Enterprise car rental for all of my car rentals!
I made a reservation online for my vehicle. When I arrived to pick it up was given two choices of what Id like to drive, all of the options and information was explained very well to me and the vehicle was clean and very nice. The option of leaving the keys in a drop box on Sunday was great and I was contacted promptly the next business day to tell me all checked out well. Was very happy with the vehicle we rented and our overall experience.

Went to this location yesterday to return a car and found it permanently closed and vacated with all signage gone. Luckily there is another Enterprise location about a mile up the road and they were great.
Customer service was excellent!! I had a special request and they made sure I was comfortable and well satisfied. I even had to return with my vehicle because of a small issue, I received prompt and awesome service.
Ive rented vehicles here a couple of times as my own car was undergoing repair. Both times, I had a painless experience. During the checkout and return process, the staff went out of their way to make sure that I was being served properly and that I understood the whole process. Both times, the cars I rented were clean and reliable (I still wanted my own car back, though, of course). Yes, they do pick you up!For personal-use rentals (as I have done), I would definitely recommend this Enterprise location to friends and family.
Awesome service. The team at the east state location in rockford is Top Notch, very professional, great personalities, awesome service, willing to go above and beyond for their customers. You can really tell that everyone on that team takes alot of pride in their work and strive hard to be the best. By far the best service Ive ever received at enterprise. Really, probably the best service Ive received anyway to be honest. And its mostly because of their attitudes and personalities, I didnt need much, but I felt confident that if I did need anything that it would be taken care of asap.I have had pretty bad experiences in the past with enterprise (different location) but this team restored my faith in the company. They are doing it right, and they are killing it with great service.
My first time renting a car. By far the most painless process ever thanks to Enterprise. The manager Corbin was very polite and without a doubt knowledgeable to all of there products and services as well as there policies. We received a free upgrade that helped us with more room for our trip. Returning the vehicle was really smooth as well, they do everything as far as processing payments and add-ons right in front of you and they make sure that you’re aware of terms and conditions. The best part is when I returned the vehicle my son and I received a ride back to our home by one of there respectable and polite staff. I definitely recommend this Enterprise at this location to peers, friends and family! Thanks guys.

I recently rented a compact car at the Rockford IL East State St location, the requested pickup ride was already waiting for me (a first) when I stepped off the Ohare bus transportation, smooth, trouble free rental week after that.
These guys took amazing care of us! We made our reservations at the N. Alpine location and initially reserved a sedan for our camping trip. Not only was Kylar incredibly professional in his presentation of all of the necessary information; but he upgraded us to a Jeep Sahara at no extra cost. It made transporting our gear much easier and really made all the difference in checking out the beautiful views as we cruised through the mountains. Thanks Kylar! This store has outstanding customer service!!! They couldnt have been more helpful in taking care of my insurance rental. Following up a couple of times to make sure everything went as planned w/ no problems!! Would recommend this store to anyone needing a future car rental!!
NEVER RENT FROM ENTERPRISE!!!!! Where do I begin?! After reserving a Suburban for 10 days from a different location and arriving to pick it up only for it not to be there, my friends decided to got to this location where a Suburban was available for 10 days. They even agreed to honor the original quoted price. All seemed great. My friends dropped the Suburban off today only to find that it had been reserved for 7 days. We were charged an additional $1,000! Both the Alpine Street and State Street locations scammed us. I will never ever rent from them again, and I would not recommend anyone else to either!
Steve Solati the area manager did not offer up any assistance when a National Corporate account with Enterprise needed help. Advising my employee to just wait 7 hours at a local edition is not a logical answer the the issue.
I always have great service at the Rockford East State location. And the costs are much lower than at either of the Chicago airports, including the cost of the round-trip bus ride.The cars are clean, newer models and I have never had a problem with any of them. I do at times take advantage of their offer for a ride either before or after renting. That works out extremely well for me.I will continue to use this location for my yearly, or sometimes more often, trips to Rockford.
BEWARE. Dont Listen to the workers that say only if your at fault it will not be covered if you choose to opt out. Mother Nature Storms Hail which is out of your control will be your fault if you do not take there Insurance. So then you will have to file a claim under your own Insurance. Be sure if you rent to choose there Insurance if you can afford it. If Not you are responsible!!!!! Even if it is NOT your fault!!!!!!! Very Bad Experience!!!
I was satisfied with the experience. It did take a while to get the correct response and paperwork taken care of but I guess thats to be expected. All insurance and the car was acceptable.

I have had personality issues, as far as; I need a car now, ugh why do I need extra paperwork, etc. but I have always gotten what I wanted and needed. I have never had less than a 4 ⭐️ Experience. Im sure other people may have had bad experiences as is pretty much a guarantee when working with people, when its busy (whether or not there is enough staff), when you are feeling overwhelmed. It happens. But I read other reviews and want to point out when I was there this week I heard multiple employees ask people if they had ALL required documents. And as an efficient person I ALWAYS ask what I need so things do not get delayed. Now I was warned it was going to be busy at my pick up, cool, no cars were clean, understandable when theres one area to clean and busy... So I saw a car that I was told was mine- thought it was ready and they were just trying to assist others but it was still dirty and I was told if I wanted to we could do walk around while waiting and if I needed to go and didnt want to wait I would get a 10% discount -not much off a cheap rental but still nice. Car wasnt too dirty and I was behind so I decided to leave. Overall, everyone was helpful and professional. And I have never seen less than that. But Im also not always there... And I have never gone in with a bad attitude which I know puts others in the same! Optimism may help... Thanks Enterprise, Im glad you could help!
This location on Alpine is really starting to become a disappointment this is the second week in a row my reservation has been cancel with no explanation why!!!After I call to confirm my reservation they call right before closing to tell me they have to cancelSecond time my trip has been cancel as well very upset customer

The customer service was great. Did not like the car at all once I started driving it and they gave me a double upgrade for next rental. Drove me home when I dropped off-very nice and friendly person.
Always good service. And reliable cars for our trips. Be sure to have current bills with proof of your address. Even green they are patient for you to pull them up. I do wish they would keep proof on file for a reasonable length of time when you rent frequently.
Best car rental experience I have ever had. Switched me to an American made car for free. And they worked every thing out with my insurance company while my truck was being repaired.
I have been renting with Enterprise for the last 16 years and have always been more than satisfied. Anytime there was an issue they always took care of it upon the close out of the rental. On this occasion we werent satisfied with SUV that we were rented and the cleanliness of the vehicle. The representative said he would look to see about getting us a refund and would call us back. Instead he simply closed out the rental and charged the credit card at the original amount. Seeing that we paid $800 for the rental of vehicle for a week and that I have been renting with them for years, I assumed they would make things right. I was less than satisfied with the last rental.
From reserving the rental to returning the keys, my customer service experience was none other than superb! I had an issue with one of the charging ports not functioning properly in the SUV rental. The enterprise agents handled the issue appropriately and I was satisfied. Thank you for a great experience !
I originally requested a large car for a weekend rental. Unfortunately, all they had was a Jeep Sahara and it took an extra 20 minutes to get it. I used it all day Friday, but needed a car so my handicapped mother could get in and out of it. I went back on Friday hopefully to switch out into a car which they had. After waiting for about 12 minutes, I finally just got frustrated and just gave them the keys and told them to close out the ticket. As a former employee of Enterprise, I was taught that employees must have a sense of urgency in taking care of the customers. I hope that is still being taught instead of making customers wait a long time to get a rental, return, or even switching out a car.
I recently attended a wedding in Rockford IL and received my rental from the state street location. The day before the wedding my sisters and I realized our hooped filled dresses would not fit into the car we rented. The staff at Enterprise were wonderful renting us an SUV for the 2 days needed. We also utilized the Alpine location to return the car and pick-up the original car rented. Deana and Cornelius were wonderful and should be promoted they provided exceptional customer service.

We rented a vehicle for an urgent trip out of state and we did the order online. It was night but the website said the car would be ready by the next morning. Flash forward a few hours and not a single one of their locations in the area had the vehicle or one similar ready to go in the morning. As a matter of fact, the didn’t know if they would have on by the end of the day. At finally somewhere around 4 or 5 pm, they had a vehicle. We went to pick it up and went through the check out and all was well. Made our trip, came back, and then there was the bill. Everything was done under my moms name and her email. Well my mom doesn’t have great English, nor is she tech savvy. So to her surprise the bill was nearly double what she thought we’d be paying. When I got into to her email to see the break down of the bill, we were charged for optional things she had no idea were being put on our bill. And also, fees for things that weren’t mentioned or explained to us. For example, a young driver fee put on there for my being 21 and my mom putting me down as an additional driver. She wasn’t told that that would be an extra $40 / day!!! She definitely wouldn’t have let me drive it, if that had been clearly explained to her. Needless to say, we will not be using this rental service ever again.
My first time renting from Enterprise wasnt the greatest experience. There was a shortage of vehicles so i had to wait for a vehicle to be checked in and cleaned to rent. After waiting for one vehicle to be cleaned they then told me I couldnt get that vehicle since i was paying with my debit card and that I needed to get a smaller SUV. So I then had to wait for another one to be cleaned. I would of said forget it had I not been going out of town that night. The vehicle that i was stuck with wasnt comfortable for my family and I. Rather i paid with my debit card or a major credit card. I am still a paying customer. The amount of money I paid I should of had a nice comfortable ride. The service was rushed and I wasnt explained the return policy correctly so i was given misinformation when it came to dropping off the car. When I was going to drop the car after I got off work, I was told I would be charged another day. On a positive note the staff was friendly
Although the initial counter service was annoying and shaky, lots of probing questions beyond the basic where you heading to (look Im just renting your car, not completing a court ordered affidavit!) the agents who brought me to the car and closed out the contract on the car were wonderful. They showed a level of customer service that will take them well beyond their Enterprise experience. They were kind and caring and because of them ....Ill be back!

Incredibly outgoing staff. Got me in a car quickly after my accident. Ran over some metal and got a flat tire, so they switched it out the next day without a price increase. Needed a SUV for my scout trip over the weekend, and I wasnt sure yet if the other insurance company would upgrade to an SUV, but they gave it to me anyway. Theyre my rental company for life!
Our first reservation was sold out from under us. We had to come back for a car two days later. There were no cars available in town, due to the flooding south of us.

The car was so clean I wanted to wear plastic as to not mess it up and drove great. The return process was so simple my son could have done it, and I got the deposit back quickly! Enterprise Well pick you up (If you make a reservation 24-48 hours in advance...) My truck broke down over the weekend while passing through Rockford, IL. Decided to rent a car while I waited for the repairs to be completed. I made a reservation on Sunday to pick up a car on Monday. I called Enterprise to come pick me up and I was told that the pick up service requires 24-48 hours advance notice! Wow really? Ive rented cars all over the country (usually on short notice when my truck brakes down) and Ive never been told I needed to make a pick up request in advance. Im pretty understanding if the driver is busy and it might take a while to get to me. But seriously 24-48 hours advance notice? Are you booking a limo to pick me up? Ive made airline reservations in less time. Took uber to Avis and rented there instead.
This was my first time renting a car and it is so simple, first register on line...( this is a must so they have you in the system) second go in pick the car give them the rest of information they need to process your reservation, third go out and they give you a run down with you car choice hand you the keys....go. Here is a plus I needed to be pick up, there were there at the schedule time. Prices are affordable compared to other companies.
Never go anywhere else. Staff is great. Ive ever only had one problem with a car due to cleanliness. Previous driver had a dog in the car and the hair was all over the back seat of the car. On that particular road trip I sneezed my way into a coma almost. Their process is efficient and Im in and out within 15 minutes and this includes doing a walk around of the car. Great job!
This rating is not necessarily for enterprise as a whole because I think your rental experience is largely dependent on the people who process your transaction and get you on your way. The folks at this location are very professional and generally seem to care about the customer and they get there share of characters to deal with. This location is busy so plan ahead.
I needed a rental right away because the dealership needed to keep my car for repair several days. They want at least a 2 hour lead time on their cars and wanted to charge me a $200 dollar security deposit ***++ refundable with the return of the car. Wow. Not. I chose Value rental car agency instead.
We rented a cargo van to help our daughter move to another city on a Saturday. With the unlimited mileage, the Enterprise rental was an economical alternative to a moving truck. The staff was extremely helpful when picking it up and the drop off could not have been easier as the office was closed when we returned it so we simply dropped the keys in the lockbox. I will be renting from Enterprise again soon!

Have rented from this office a number of times for business and they are always helpful. Depending on the time you arrive, there are certain days that you want to avoid, like Monday mornings. People are coming back from the weekend and people that have had accidents are coming in to rent. My only issue is the people that disregard the NO SMOKING in the rentals. I have had a hard time finding a car that hasnt been smoked in. The positive side is that the staff has usually allowed me to give it the sniff test before renting and offered me other options if I felt like it was too strong. I continue to use the location because it is close to my home, but have found the staff to be responsive and will continue to use them.
I made a reservation to rent a truck online then drove all the way down to Rockford from Madison to rent a truck and was told once I arrived that since I have an out of state license they need a credit card to rent the vehicle. They new I was out of state the moment I reserved the vehicle because I had to put my license in to make it. I was told they normally call to inform customers of this but clearly they do not.

I would rent from them again.The only way it could get better is if they kept all your preferences, you order online, your car is delivered, they pick it up, and your account is charged. Picking up and dropping off the car locally was very good service, but once I was on my way I attempted to switch out vehicles it became a nightmare. Called and said that the brakes were raising a concern and that I also didnt feel safe in the car I was in... The Rockford office said to bring it back, I proceeded to explain I was in another state and nowhere near Rockford Illinois. They said I had to locate one where I was at and then they hung up.7 Enterprises late and 2 states I was finally given a different vehicle. Pretty much lost a day and a half on our 10 day vacation, I just wrote it off as thats what happens when you dont use your on car and drive a foreign jobber. (Fiat- Fix It AgainTomorrow)I dont rent vehicles that often so Im incline to believe this may be the standard.

I travel a lot, and when I travel by auto in country these are the people I come to. The service is great and they let you know you are the customer and they are there for you. If any problems arise they fix it. The staff should be duplicated nation wide, then I would not have to travel from the Chicago land area to rent a auto.
I went in as a walk-in to rent a Car.They were quite helpful. Even though they did not have a car at that time, they made sure and arranged a car for me as I had an interview.
Car was great - service was awful... waited an hour for my car while I watch no less than 10 others get checked out in a speedy way. When I approached the desk they said they were waiting for someone to get free. After watching staff continue to check out others who came after me I approached the desk again and was told my car was still being prepped in the back - only to find out that the car had actually been parked out front the whole time. I was late for my appointment - I was so irritated that I returned the car on Monday and had Hertz pick me up from enterprise - had no issues there.

I made a reservation for a car but when I got there there were no cars available. Workers said something about a recall. Had to wait for cars to be delivered from the Freeport location. Honestly a huge inconvenience.
They gave me a broken down car i missed my show in sxsw and didnt even make it 40 minutes outside of rockford . had to fight for a week to get my refund back . now they wont give me my refund for the gas money i put in that mf and for the oil. If anyone has the regional managers phone number or email i would love to email them.

I have been renting from enterprise for years and recently I have been working with Rashad from the E. State location in Rockford, IL. I recently did a rental where when I went to make a payment it stayed my transaction was approved but for some reason the system didn’t pick it up. Two days before it was time for me to return the vehicle additional funds were taken out totaling almost $800. I contacted Rashad who apologized multiple times stating to me he was going to get it handled which he did. A lot of times you can deal with companies and they don’t care what’s going on but he made sure that we contacted my bank explaining it was an error on their part and funds were returned within minutes. Rashad thank you for going above and beyond to make sure I was a happy customer.#enterpriseisthebomb

I rented a car going out of town. The rental was a beautiful car but the back brakes was bad and went out. I called and told them the back brakes were bad and when was the last time they had been serviced I was left on hold for awhile and was told to swap car out well I was getting on the highway very early morning so I asked them to bring me a car I only worked a block away they said no swap the car out so I got on the highway with a car with no back brakes waiting to get to the nearest place to swap the car out the tires were bad and the car was sweeping across the highway it took a hr off my trip to swap the car out I can see getting a car with a couple of issues and be in town they knew I was leaving town and gave me a car with dangerous problems and would not accommodate me and swap the rental out but instead put me on the highway that way quite disturbing about the safety of these vehicles.

Service was top notch until I checked my account and found out they took out two deposits. Still after nearly two weeks since I returned the vehicle on time I havent received any of my deposits nor have I received a call from them!

I needed a car last minute and was able to get something fairly cheap. The only thing I didnt like was in order to use a debt card they want to either see a pay stub or a utility bill, I was on my way home from work and didnt have either of those.
