The owner is the sweetest. She’s so patient and kid. I felt welcomed their unlike other nail spas. Very happy with the whole experience. I got my acrylics for $60 and pedicure for $50.

I went to this place for pedicure and acrylic nails. Mary K did an excellent job with my nails and she did a great design on it too. She took about 1:30 but the results were amazing. Thank you so much for you excellent service.

I visited yesterday for the first time and had a wonderful experience! Each staff member was friendly, and my technician was fantastic. I got a full set with shellac. She was very detail oriented and professional. I will definitely come back!

I’ve been to Joy nails twice and both times were great! I can’t remember the name of who did my pedicure and gel manicure the first time but she did a beautiful job! I went and saw Maysa recently for a pedicure and gel manicure. Maysa was so kind and did an amazing job! I love how my nails turned out. I highly recommend Joy nails!

Anna (the owner I believe) recommended I use a different polish than I picked, similar shade so I agreed, and it chipped a week later (my pedicures normally last a month). I took my daughter for her first pedicure and Anna did a quick and half standard job, even though it cost only a couple dollars less than mine and she’s only 6 so it wouldn’t have been hard to do a good job! We had been talking about how she was going to get a foot massage all week and then she really didn’t get one at all. Also, she made a comment about how my daughter has hair on her legs which seemed very inappropriate, and overall acted like we were inconveniencing her. Furthermore, it was like 100 degrees in there and we were sweating. A warm day outside but it was way more uncomfortable in this salon. This was my second experience at this salon and I do not recommend it, won’t be going back.

I would have rated them 5 stars because I was so happy with the result of my dip manicure when leaving the salon! I thought the lady took attention to detail and was careful with my hands. Although, I did book an appointment for acrylic, but when I showed up, there was no one to do acrylic so I ended up with dip.The nails were beautiful until one popped off. I was shocked because usually my mani’s last a full two weeks, maybe even three. I was a little upset because I had spent a good amount of money compared to my normal salon I go to. Although the nails were beautiful, I do not plan on coming back simply for the fact that they’re expensive and I don’t get as long as a wear as I usually do.I have another nail, loosely hanging on and am so disappointed that I have to already go get them fixed

I recently moved to the area and have not been able to find a nail tech that I was happy with.... until now!!! Maysa did an amazing job!! My dipped manicure and shellac pedicure are perfect! She was very nice and took her time and paid attention to detail!! I have definitely found my new nail tech!!

Terrible!! I had an appointment showed up on time but I waited 37 minutes and there was no way any of them would be ready to take soon?? The people are not friendly and place is outdated!! I left, never going there again

My daughter broke her nail Monday morning after having her nails done on Sunday. They GUARANTEE their nails for 2 weeks. She just had it fixed. It took about an hour but that was a walk in at 6:15. Great place to do such a service.

Two visits, two different experience. Edited review after second visit.First visit: Mixed greeting but the girl called Jenny was patient and talked nicely and did amazing pedicure and manicure. She suggested to do shellac and I went for it with a French finish on hands and toes. The total bill was around $100 and on top of that I gave good tip. Called for a free manicure on my birthday on December 29th.2nd visit: Yesterday (Dec 29, my bday) I booked session at 4:30 pm with Jenny again. Very cold greeting. I only wanted to a regular manicure because I did not want any extravagant for free. I chose the nail color and sat down. She took off my shellac and was going with her pace when suddenly there was a new customer that she had to handle and then her pace went up so fast. 2 color coats back to back and then immediately the top coat was applied. She didnt even see if the applications were even or any bubbles formed and then turned on a small fan to dry my nails and went to serve the next lady. There was a student girl sitting nearby talking a little, so I asked her if my nails dried, stood, paid my bills ($22) and left. I didnt mention anything about the birthday free manicure because the way they treated me felt so bad.Ive been to better places where they treat everyone nicely an not biased towards the regular customers. Wont be coming back.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I got a pedicure last week. The nail tech was friendly, took her time, and she paid attention to detail. This week, I got a full body exfoliating scrub by the owner. It was so relaxing, and my body felt so refreshed afterwards. I highly recommend this place.

This nail salon and spa is absolutely beautiful, and it is now under new ownership. She has every nail color imaginable, and she has them all in regular polish, shellac, and dip, so that you can match no matter what color or style polish you choose. I got a manicure and pedicure, and my nails look gorgeous. The oil used on my legs and feet smelled like a mixture of coconut and mango...mmmm! How many places do you know that use hot stone massage for just a regular pedicure??? It felt absolutely amazing. I will never go anywhere else!

I can honestly say that I had my best ever manicure /pedicure at Joy Spa & Nails. From the moment I called for an appointment, to the owner greeting me when I arrived (walk- ins welcome), to the nail technician taking her time to do a perfect job, I had a delightful experience. The spa was clean with tools heat sterilized, everyone was friendly and professional. I opted for their higher end services and very much felt I got my moneys worth. I definitely will be back for future services.

Went to Joy Spa & Nail in early December and got a manicure done last minute before my flight back home. Great attention to detail and the staff was very friendly. Will come here again when I come back to Michigan. Would highly recommend :)

I love my nails every time. I always go here after the end of every semester as a treat to myself! It doesnt even smell like the strong nail salons everyone is used to and thats one of the main reasons I love those place. Friendly, talkative staff as well always makes it a great experience. I even got the new owner to do my mani and she made sure to take her time and I appreciated that.

Amazing nail salon! The salon is very clean and well decorated. My nails were done quickly and well, and the nail technician was very friendly! And they do offer the student discount for both college and high school students.

I’m very picky to choose a place for my pedicure but joy spa has my trust. They alway use liners for pedicure and they also using the autoclave to disinfect their implements. This is one of the best place I have found to get my nail done.

Love this nail spa! They always do a great job with both manis and pedis. Relaxing atmosphere and the ladies who work there are friendly and very nice.

They have a 10% off Student Discount posted on a big sign in front, which is why I went in. At the end when I asked for the discount the woman who owns the store said it was only for high school students, and not college students. I told her that was bizarre, false advertising, and that they should change their sign to be more specific; everywhere else student discount includes college students. Two months later, they still have the sign out! Not going back!

This was my first time at Joy Spa & Nail and I had a fantastic experience. Best pedicure I’ve ever gotten and had a French Ombré with Dip powder. I’ve finally found my new go to nails place! Thank you Ona and Maysa!

Visited here while on vacation. Atmosphere was very pleasant, relaxing and calming. Nice assortment of polish colors also. I was prepped by one employee prior to my pedicure. She was awesome with the massage and pre work. The owner completed my pedicure and did my gel manicure. She did an excellent job. Very nice also. Id definitely recommend this nail spa.

Went for my first time today with my sister and the ladies working were so sweet and did a great job! They put in the effort to make conversation rather than just talking amongst themselves. My pedicure was very thorough. Will definitely be going back!

I was in the chair for 15 minutes for a pedicure. No hello or how are you from the lady that did my pedicure. I asked for a regular pedicure but was charged $39 for some sort of deluxe pedicure. There was no reflexology or massage, just a quick slap on of lotion. Definitely not worth the money I spent here. The owner lady was nice and I’m sure she would’ve given a way better pedicure than the girl that did mine. Disappointed

Clean salon and nice crew. I would not give them a three star or better. I normally do not post on any site, but I was not pleased with my second visit. First visit was good. Second visit not so good. I had a 3:15 appt and got out at 5:30 pm. Second, after two days my nail polish is turning and I paid $85.00. Won’t be returning or recommending.

Ive found my favorite spa for a terrific mani/pedi! Well located in the heart of Rochester, Joy Spa & Nail offers a clean, friendly space with reasonable prices. Some manicurists can be rough but not here! Very professional!!

Todays pedicure was less than expected. Waiting for it to dry, my consultant went away and began doing her own nails. She never told me the price until another consultant asked. I said my feet are dry, and another employee offered lotion, but the person who did my pedi was busy doing her own nails. She left my feet dry and unsmoothed. I filed my calloused feet at home and applied lotion. My bill was $47. Not what I had expected, the service did not warrant cost. I must note on my previous visit to Joy both service and price were very good.

Joy Spa & Nail was a halfway meeting point for a friend and me. We wanted to get our nails done for my bachlorette weekend. Going here was mistake. The entire experience was rushed. During our pedi, our feet were barely scrubbed and our cuticles were not even trimmed. The girl doing our shellac mani lessened the timer on the drying light and kept repeating how she had to leave. This was a bit confusing, seeing we had made appointments. Upon leaving, we realized the polish wasnt even set. Never, in my life, has a salon used an electric tool to trim my finger cuticles. Never again will I let someone either- I have terrible cuticle hang nails now :( Neither of us even get a hand massage or lotion. This was a rushed, unfriendly, expensive experience.

The service is good, but when I went to go to my appointment, someone else was being treated, so I had no choice but to leave and not receive my service.
