He was able to preserve an old inscription on the inside of the ring, as well as perfectly match the decorative grooves on the outside. I went to three jewelry stores to fix my watch band. None of the other places could fix the band. I had given up hope after one year of trying to find a jeweler who could fix the band. I went to the Jewelry Clinic and the owner was able to fix the band. I was very happy because that was one of my favorite watches and I thought I would never be able to wear it again. The owner kept the watch for a week to figure out how to repair it. The Jewelry Clinic will have my business for future repairs of my watches.

I had a great experience at Jewelry Clinic! I have large knuckles and skinny fingers and have always hated wearing rings because of it. Once I got engaged I had trouble getting my ring to fit me well. I went to another jewelry store initially with this concern, but felt like they were giving me bad advice. I went to get a second opinion at Jewelry Clinic and he got it right the first time. My engagement ring and wedding band now fit my finger perfectly without constantly spinning around and looking loose on my finger. On top of it all he completed the job in half the time as the other jewelry store.

I had been looking for a jeweler to help make my antique, heirloom engagement ring fit for a while with no success. The ring is handmade and has two stamps, one on the front and one on the side, that we wanted preserved. Therefore, resizing was not an option. We were also afraid to do any soldering - so we were looking for a band to put in front of the ring so I would not lose it. My mother in law found Bob and I came in (when he was officially closed - no less) for a consultation.Within 30 minutes Bob had solved my problem - we found a small band that would fit between my ring and my finger that could be set in place with non-permanent epoxy. We ordered the band and when I went to pick it up, Bob inserted the band (which seemed like a fairly difficult to do), epoxied it, and cleaned/polished my ring. By the end of the week, I was able to wear the ring with the insert without fear that I would lose a priceless family heirloom. Thank you Bob! Would 1000% recommend his services.

We took some family jewelry to Bob to be look at and remounted. It turns out that he knew what to do as well explained the process of what he was going to do. We had two rings which we turned into earrings with the diamonds. We had another ring which needed to be remounted as well and never realized that the stones had been filled in (Bob explained this was something done maybe 50 years ago to make them all the same size). The gold he gave us credit on and it made it affordable for what we walked away with. Will definitely use again.

I brought my Diamond infinity ring to Bob because I had lost one of the diamonds. He looked at the ring and told me he could definitely replace the diamond, but because of the design of my ring that it was likely going to keep happening due to the fact that there were only 2 prongs holding onto each of the 48 diamonds on the ring.. He suggested I think about re-setting the diamonds in a new ring for protection. He offered to design a new ring for my diamonds and could have his lab make his design come to life. I was hesitant but felt like this was my best option. Bob was awesome! He had me come in and look at the computer mock up of my new ring and explained the whole process. 2 weeks later I have this amazing, NEW, gorgeous ring! Im so happy! I will be going back for all of my jewelry needs from here on out and would recommend him to anyone that wants a custom piece of jewelry or just need a quick fix!

So after 25 years of marriage my weddings rings were well worn and in need of repair....and if you knew me you would know I’m tough on them... never take them off... dig in dirt gardening, paint, clean and as a nurse ALOT of hand washing! The prongs on my diamond and wrap were whittled away, a small diamond was missing from my wrap and my wedding band was tight.... after a few opinions from other jewelers that said they were not repairable and i would need a whole new setting ... a dear friend of mine recommended Bob at the jewelry clinic. My friend has known bob for a very long time and only uses him for all his jewelry needs. So I took a chance and took my rings to him..... I can’t begin to say what a beautiful, amazing job he did! Very good experience here. Went in with my engagement ring having a bent prong. Was so upset I could of cried. I wasnt sure if it was going to be able to be fixed, or if the prong would just break if we tried. I was expecting to have to leave it to be repaired (was hoping I wouldnt need to) and he got it fixed and cleaned up in 10 minutes. It looks phenomenal and you cant even tell which prong it was. Thank you! I will definitely be back in the future if needed. Only charged me $25.

Bob does great work! I asked him to solder charms on my charm bracelet, which has 50 charms. I had not been able to wear the bracelet because I did not want to lose a charm. Also, it was so heavy that it hung to the bottom of my wrist. He redistributed the charms to balance the weight. My bracelet looks and feels great!

Bob is great! I took a ring to him to repair it after I had done some damage trying to fix it myself. He cut out the head and replaced it with a much better one and it looks better than the original. His price was way less than the big jewelry stores and I feel that he did a better job than they would have. I am totally happy with the results and will never need to look for a jeweler again.

I asked for the most specific little earring to be custom made and Bob did an excellent job. He was unfamiliar with what I was talking about at first, so he took the time to research it and make sure it was done right, and it certainly was. Also, it is worth mentioning that I called and moved my deadline a few days ahead of the previously agreed upon one. I did this rather last minute, but Bob must’ve stopped what he was doing and finished my order because it was done the next day. Great guy with great products. Highly recommend!!

I had a rose gold engagement ring with pave diamonds resized here. Bob did a great job and really went above and beyond. Before being resized, I felt like the ring was just a little too big, but had been wearing a ring guard until I found somewhere I trusted to resize it. Bob had me try on different ring sizes and then made the ring smaller and did exactly as I asked (a small size 4)! I wore it for a few days and realized it was still too big for my liking, even though it was the size I had asked for. I called Bob and he worked with me to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it. He resized it AGAIN (the next week) at no charge to me, and again did exactly as I asked (a big size 3.5). This ring now fits PERFECTLY, and with sizing unique to me. When he says he wants his customers to be totally happy and satisfied with his work, he means it! Oh, and he got it back to me in under a week, which was a high priority for me. Thanks Bob!

Amazing work! I havent seen such service like this locally. I was gifted an amazing gold necklace with a very distinct style and I needed to add more size to it. Not only did Bob order the metal and items necessary to make the additional custom links, but he made the additional links BY HAND! The detail is amazing and I personally couldnt even tell the difference. No other jeweler was able to do what he did and no other jeweler even attempted. I recently went to Bob to get an old engagement ring redesigned. I wanted to propose to my girlfriend with her great grandmothers engagement ring to keep it in her family, but wanted to put my personal touch on it at the same time. I had a couple ideas of what I might want to do to the ring coming in to see Bob, but I wasnt sure what was possible or affordable. Bob explained to me all of my options and gave me his honest advice to update the ring at a good price. I decided on getting a new band with channel set small diamonds around the outside welded to the old engagement ring. This way I could keep the top portion of the old engagement ring untouched with the 3 main diamonds in it and get a new and improved band to compliment it. Bob did an amazing job welding on the new band and my now fiance along with her family loves it! I will be returning to Bob for our wedding bands soon!

I looked this place up on google for a watch repair.i couldnt of been more please with the craftsmanship and quality he put into polishing every link so it looks like new again. I called twice before stopping by and Bob has been very patient with me each time I called making inquiries.The store was secure, neat and street parking on both side of the streets.My original wedding band was carefully observed and Bob elaborated to me in details each little thing about the ring he saw and what was going to happen to it during resizing procedures. I was a bit discouraged that part of the ring would be taken off to make a smaller ring, but when I picked it up today Bob told me he had forged the entire ring so that all the gold stayed! He also got rid of the small flaws and polished it so it looks super new.Hats off to Bob!!

Fast,efficient, friendly service. Its always nice to work directly with the owner. While I am not in Downtown Rochester all that often I had a meeting so Googled watch battery repairs and saw that the Jewelry Clinic had replaced 200,000 watch batteries! I figured theyd very likely have the type I needed in stock and would know what they were doing. I walked into their secure store on the first floor of the Powers Building and the owner got right up from what he was doing and took care of the replacement very quickly. He even reset the time and cleaned that sticking buttons (that he had noticed) on the LCD watch Id brought in. Great service. Very reasonable price and friendly/pleasant chat with him as he was working. Id highly recommend.

I took my grandmas engagement ring here to get a new stone put in it so I could propose. The diamond had fallen out and it got lost. I spent close to an hour at the shop trying to figure out just what size and quality of stone to put in. Bob was very patient and gave me a lot of good information. When I picked up the ring today I was shocked at how great it looked. I didnt even know it needed polishing, but he did that too and the ring shined beautifully. Sorry I ruined your lunch with my question about my measly ring.Im all about local business but after I left crying from the lack of respect, I was absolutely shocked by the high reviews from everyone else.When I find the family ring I am looking for, I will certainly be bringing it anywhere but here to have it reset or resized.

Bob and the Jewelry Clinic have my highest recommendation. My fiancé proposed to me with his grandmother’s wedding ring, a beautiful ring with emerald and diamonds that was two sizes too small for me. To get it resized, we first took it to a commercial jeweler (who will remain nameless) and the salesperson/jeweler dismissed us and told us that it was impossible to refit this ring - and that they were the ‘best’ in town, and no other jeweler would be able to resize it without ruining it. They told us we should come back when we had the money to buy a ‘real’ ring, and we left feeling disheartened. We then did some searching and found the Jewelry Clinic and Bob. He welcomed us and our ring, and with a very positive attitude told us he would do what he could to fix the ring by the following next week. Two days later he called us and the ring was finished. It is so beautiful, and fits me perfectly! More than we could’ve hoped for. We are so grateful for Bob and his craftsmanship and kindness. Please go see him if you need old jewelry worked on, or have new jewelry needs. We also purchased my fiancé’s engagement band at the Jewelry Clinic, and it is exactly what we were looking for.

My fiancé bought my engagement ring from Zales about a month ago, and I needed to have it resized up one full size. Since we had the warranty, the resize from Zales was free - so I sent my ring off to be worked on by them. One week later I picked up my ring and was totally shocked and freaked out by what it looked like. They had stretched the metal super thin and it was no longer perfectly round, but bent and crooked on one side. I didn’t trust Zales to give me an honest assessment, so I went to the Jewelry Clini based on the positive google reviews that I had read. I’m SO incredibly glad that I did. The owner, Bob, was incredibly kind, honest, and knowledgeable. He definitely could have talked me into having him replace the thinned out band, but instead he put my stresssed out mind at ease about the thickness and he even straightened it out for me at no cost! I will be taking ALL of my business to him going forward, and would definitely recommend him to all of my friends and family. It’s so difficult to find such a reputable and trustworthy businessman - don’t hesitate for even one second to take your jewelry here!!
