I went in hoping to feel pampered but left feeling taken advantaged off and offended. My nail tech initially covered the top of the pedicure options on the menu so Id go for the more expensive option. Randomly told me that she didnt like Mexicans and Guatemalans, I was shocked!!! She kept telling me to look up to see the work she was doing, basically so I could say wow looks great. Left both my nails and toes bleeding. At the end I was hushed into secrecy to tip in cash, which I told my nail tech I didnt have, I was aggressively tapped and told to Venmo her. Which felt so sketchy, I dont mind tipping in another way but it should be advertised on the nail techs station or on publicly in the salon. Not on a piece of paper slide to me across the table. Felt very sad to me and made me uncomfortable. I was also charged $80 for a basic pedicure and a manicure with a clear coat!! which is ridiculous. Will not be going back or recommending this place to anyone.

Super over priced for the end result smh. And after paying 195 for a fill, full set and a manicure, I just wanted to get outta there smh. We also paid for our eye brows, inwhich, that was rushed as well. There was no plucking or shaping at all. Jus a simple lower wax.I traveled a hour and a half to see what the hype was about, needless to say, Ill stick to the rivers and lakes that Im use to....ohhh and my daughter had 2 nails break in less that 48hours.I swear, yall be inflating your reviews when you become close with the owners of the businesses but it doesnt help the other consumers like myself. I expected a very different type of experience and was highly disappointed!!!!!!

I was in need of a quick color change for my toes and I checked reviews for salons in the areas and was impressed by the ratings for Luxe. I am so glad that I stopped by. Diem was so nice and did a great job with my color change. I do my own nails and she complimented me on my work and honestly, it made me smile. We have great conversation and the ambiance was so pleasant. I think I may have found my new favorite spot.

Not as relaxing of an experience as we would have hoped. The techs were a little rough on our feet but it was fine in the end. My mom got gel mani and regular pedicure and hers look great!I got acrylics however and I just wasn’t satisfied with the final look. I chose this shop specifically because the acrylics in the photos looked so good. Unfortunately the nails I got are fairly thick and uneven with extra acrylic built up under the edges. 24hrs later and they are already lifting off the tips of my natural nails on both hands. I also wanted a specific design for my nails and showed the tech at the beginning and she said okay. When she started painting a base with the color I chose for the design I spoke up and she told me that is was $5 extra per nail for design. I don’t get acrylics done often but had never heard that before. If I had known they would charge extra for design I may have gone with a different color or chosen something simpler for just two nails. Wish that had been communicated better at the start or at least written on their price list for services.Just kind of a disappointing experience all around but wishing them all the best. They’re very nice people!

This was honestly the worst pedicure experience I have ever received. The woman started my pedicure before my feet were even in the water. She was talking to her friend next to me and when she found out I was doing to do gel nails she made her friend switch with her. She used CUTICLE oil to massage my legs which left me sticky. The nail color was all over my skin and it is already peeling off in chunks, the SAME DAY. The staff was so rude and I felt so uncomfortable. When I even asked if I could sign for a tip the nail tech yelled for cash. I will never be returning which is very disappointing. I wish I could get my money back. My sister also went with me and the nail tech made her bleed and then told her “she needed to do that”. Unbelievable.

Today was my second visit with Diem! She’s like a drug and I’m addicted. I’m in the beauty business as a hairstylist for almost 30 years now she is one of the top nail techs I’ve ever seen in my life. Very upfront and honest. Her prices match her work! Without question I would say she’s the best nail tech I’ve ever seen in Richmond. The salon is very clean and the other people that work there are extremely friendly and even though the space is small it’s designed beautifully and you feel extremely comfortable. She ran on time and gave me the time that I deserved as her client. My favorite thing is I can pick a picture of any nail designs shape or color that I want and she can do it flawlessly! I highly recommend her and call ahead before your visit to make sure you have an appointment ask for extra time if you want a design but most importantly make sure you rebook before you leave because this girl is amazing!

Love Luxe Nail Spa. They do incredible work, are super accommodating, and the pricing is fantastic. You get top notch quality for an affordable price. And call ahead for appointments if you can, and thats including same day appointments. Trust me, they are worth it.

I love love love Luxe! My best friend kept telling me how amazing Diem (the owner) was, but I was faithful to my old salon....UNTIL I finally went with her. I will never go anywhere else. I get the builder gel and I kid you not, my nails last 3-4 weeks EASY (I typically don’t wait that long, but during the pandemic, my nails held up so well)! She’s amazing with my eyebrows too. I get so many compliments from random people.I also get the Spa gel pedi by Michael and it’s legit the best massage I’ve ever had...seriously...it so relaxing.Not only do my nails look phenomenal...but I always have such a fun time there. The music is great, and all of the clients end up talking to one another laughing and joking (it kinda reminds me of like a female barber shop).They’ve also done a really good job about distancing and sanitation during 2020!

My Experience Was Perfect!I wish I could give six stars! Anytime another nail salon recommends another nail salon,that speaks highly of there work. Hands down DIEM is absolutely the best nail tech in RVA. Only If the world could have seen my nails before I went to Luxe Nail Spa. I should be a Hand Model Now. This review could not wait. The spa is beautiful. People seem nice. However, I went in for a pedicure. First time trying this shop. The woman who helped me is an older woman . She was very aggressive on my feet. When I say AGGRESSIVE... I mean AGGRESSIVE. She threw my feet around like I was a doll. Not only that she had a smart comment after I told her to cut the corners of my toe nails. I’m not sure if she was in a rush or not . She rushed on my feet as if she was in a race or competition. The experience alone is a NO for me !

A bit pricey but well worth it. Linda did my Dip Nails and she was Phenomenal. I wanted the experience of a Spa, not just a nail Salon. They take good care of you, theres no rushing here. They take their time with you and nourish your nails. Very clean and beautiful Spa....

I do not get my nails done as often as I want to, only a few times per year, but when I do, I always grab my mother and come here! We have been getting mani/pedis at this salon for a few years now and love it. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Special shout out to the male nail technician as he gives amazing leg massages and is just wonderful to be around! Also the owner is very accommodating! We came in with a gift card that had expired a few days before (mama didn’t feel comfortable using it during the surge of covid), and she honored it anyway. We were extremely grateful and very happy with our nails! Thank you!

I went here the other day with my 3 year old daughter. I was quoted $5 for hands and $5 for her feet. At the end of the appointment, they charged me $10 extra to have glitter nail polish on top of her hands and feet. Went in thinking I would pay for $37 mani pedi plus $15 for gel on my hands and they charged extra on top of this as well. Will not return.

I have been searching for a great salon and am so happy I finally found it. I came in for a full set and a pedicure and was so impressed with the quality.Come here for any service you wont be disappointed.

At first I thought this was going to be the place I would consistently get my nails done. I went to get a fill in for my nails paid over 100 dollars and within 5 days two nails came off; I came back two days consecutively to get them fixed and was charged for the fixture of a poor quality nail. I cancelled my upcoming appointments and decided to take my money and business to Haus of nails where they can offer a better nail policy and quality for the amount of money I spend.

My friend and I found this gem after searching and searching for a good nail salon. Finally we found Luxe Nail Spa. From the staff to the services- they are amazing. They are fully knowledgeable and are very enjoyable to be around. Please make an appointment though. They are very busy but can always accommodate anyone! We will always recommend this place.

Nice place, but I feel like the service can be rushed sometimes! The people are nice and helpful, but it can get busy and seems like they rush to get you done instead of it being a relaxing experience. Ive been 2 times and gel doesnt last as long as other places Ive been to! Id suggest slowing down and let people feel that they are getting their moneys worth with a relaxing experience. Otherwise, very clean place and nice people! 👍

I came in around three weeks ago as a walk-in and I have to say this is the best salon Ive EVER been to! The owner of the salon immediately greeted me and she sat down with me and talked to me about what nail service would be best for me to maintain with my nails. She thoroughly described each type of nail service in depth and started my nail service while explaining everything to me and I thought this was so impressive. Ive never experienced such impressive customer service before, they really went above and beyond and my nails lasted forever! Im excited to be going tomorrow for my fill and pedicure!

I just came from Luxe Nail Spa and this was one of the best experiences. The owner greeted me right away and made sure I was taken care of. She was also very quick to respond when setting up my appointment. Cham was my nail artist and she helped me pick the right styles for my nails. I always was checked in on to make sure everything was up to my standards. They exceeded my standards. I never got my nails done much because I always felt self-conscious about my nails. Everyone was commenting about how pretty my nails already were. Would highly recommend and definitely will be back!

My daughter and I got there 15 minutes before our appointments so we could look at the colors. They showed us to the nail color selections and told us where to sit. As we were looking through the colors a gentleman sits down across from my daughter, grabs her hand and begins sanding. She tells him she’s still looking at the colors and he refused to stop telling her it’s ok.As I’m going through the colors 90% of them are either sparkles or Easter egg colors, or worse, both. Most of the nail samples are either chipped or painted so poorly you can see through to the plastic nail. However, I did finally settle on a shiny metallic looking one only to be told there’s an EXTRA $15.00 CHARGE for that color. I told them thank you, but no thank you, I’m cancelling my appointment.The shop is EXTREMELY small. They only have two, I guess, waiting chairs but they’re stuffed next to a nail drying table so if someone is using that, there’s really nowhere to sit to wait. Very claustrophobic where you literally can’t move in or out with your chair with hitting someone. So I’m sitting in the car until my daughter is done because the guy really wouldn’t let go of her hand at the beginning so she might as well get them finished. Fingers crossed they come out ok!

Ive visited this salon multiple times and have never left without being 100% satisfied. Everyone who works there is professional, warm, and friendly. I work for a veterinarian and put my hands through a lot on a daily basis, but the gel manicures have always held up with no issues. They are also extremely accommodating. Because my schedule is always changing, its hard to schedule appointments ahead of time. Most of the time I am a walk in, and will wait anywhere from 30-45 minutes if all the chairs are full. Occasionally I have been lucky to catch one of them in between another client. Waiting is not an issue to me because scheduled appointments should take priority. The one time I scheduled ahead of time, I got stuck at work and was running late, after I called to let them know they said it was no problem and got me taken care of almost as soon as I walked in even with all their other appointments. Ive been picky about other people handling my nails after a disappointing experience at another salon years ago. Im so glad I gave professional manicures another try and now I wont let any other technicians but the Luxe ones handle my nails!

Love this place! It has a certain elegance about it, not to mention the customer service is fantastic. Everyone is engaging and welcoming. When the word spa is used in the name of an establishment I expect there to be a relaxing atmosphere, and Luxe definitely delivers. Fantastic service, warm and welcoming atmosphere, engaging technicians, and genuine interest in providing quality.

This is the BEST nail salon in Short Pump. I cant say enough positive things about the service, the staff, and the quality of work. The salon is so clean and modern inside. It has a boutique feel to it and the owner and her family are very attentive and accommodating. They make you feel like family. Diem is one of the most talented and creative nail techs I have ever met and I have been doing my nails for a long time. Definitely call when making an appointment if you can. Once you do, you will never go anywhere else.

Ive been to a few nail salons in the area and this one is my favorite. They are clean and precise. Friendly and always have a smile. They know your face from the first time you walk in. My nails are always stunning when I walk out of this salon. My wallet doesnt hurt either.

I visited Luxe nails after finding them on Yelp and was not disappointed! Im not the type to get my nails done frequently, and the last time I had was back in 2012 so it was such an enjoyable experience. Getting gel for the first time, it was exciting and my nail artist was such a peach! She was very nice, told me a bit about the area, and did such an amazing job. If I decide to get my nails done before my usual 7 year break (LOL) I will absolutely be coming back here!

I am conflicted to write this. I had an amazing experience at the salon. Diem really took her time on my nails. Soaking my old set off and doing a fresh gel set. She made sure to explain about the products she used. That’s where the good experience ended. I got my nails done on Thursday, on Saturday I noticed a crack in one, that evening it broke. I was reassured that the gel she used was the best and would last 2.5 - 3 weeks. Today, Sunday, another two broke and all I was doing was scratching my leg. In looking at the remaining 7 nails, 4 have cracks. I am disappointed. I wanted to love it but sadly I will not be back and the hunt for a salon continues. *sigh* edited to add: I was a little on the fence anyway because I was charged for polish. I’ve never been to a salon that charged for polish after receiving full services. the breakage was definitely the icing. Sorry!

Worst customer service experience ever. I just went there second time today but the lady the register seems arrogant if you are not spending too much money. If you want basic services they won’t like you. I went there to remove my gel nail and to do manicure. I was not important customer for them, I was left alone for more than 20 minutes in front of the fan & no one came back to check, very unprofessional.Also A very bad practice that if you pay cash, you won’t get a receipt ? What is this ? Is it legal ?

So not happy, my mom and I have been trying to find a new nail salon and this is just not it. We get there 15 minutes early to look at the colors since its our first time there and were told we can sit while we look. Well as soon as we sit down a gentleman sits across from me grabs my hand and starts sanding when I tell him Im still looking he says it takes a long time to sand so its best he started then. Well I have a basket of colors in my lap so now I have to hold the basket or let them fall so now I cant look for a color. When he gets to my other hand I try again to explain I want to look at colors and I need to hold the basket and instead grabs my finished hand puts it on the basket and grabs the other one and starts sanding. My mom has to hold up the colors so I can look at them.My mom ends up canceling her appt because of hidden charges that make no sense and because theres no where to sit she goes out to the car. I cant cancel my appt because hes already forcefully started on my nails. I had to explain 3 different times to file down my nails more I didnt want them the exact length they had grown out to and finally when it got to the color the one I picked would be 15 dollars more with an additional 15 dollar upcharge to make it gel you know the colors I had been picking out. So to make this straight it was 25$ for a fill an extra 15$ for a particular color that you dont know is more expensive and another 15$ for a gel type. I ended up getting a regular color which he didnt even bring to the edges of my nails so I asked him to fix it and even then still its not perfect and I have color on the skin around my nails. I am extremely disappointed in this visit half the reviews were good so I was hoping for that type of visit this definitely wasnt in the good half.Edit: first off not once did I insult my nail tech I was actually quiet for most of my session. Second I understand time allotted for nails thats why, as I said, we came 15 minutes earlier for our appointment to look at the colors so we didnt mess with the time. A woman told us to sit down while we looked and a man sat down to do my nails so no, no one ever said they were going to start my nails just asked us to sit once again 15 minutes early. I did look on your website at your prices before I went there and its a jumbled mess. Dont sit there and act like I was a horrible rude customer when after that horrible service of me sitting there quietly STILL tipping well and then sitting in front of a fan for 30 minutes while my nails dried and being completely ignored. Of course my mom reviewed as well were two seperate customers both of which had horrible experiences with you all. Ive gotten my nails done in several places in the short pump area and no ones prices are like yours.

Im from out of town I went in as a walk in for a mani/pedi they sat me right away! I had Judy for both my toes and nails she was fantastic! I definitely recommend this salon and Judy if you cant get Judy Im sure any of the other technicians are just as great!!

The lady doing my pedicure cut my toe open with the grater thing they use to get dead skin off the bottom of your feet. She had no idea what to do as blood was going everywhere. Oh and the best part is they tried to make me pay for it. I DID NOT. Granted, they said sorry a million times... but you should NEVER charge someone if you make a mistake like that.

Quality of service is good, however, they are so small (two full time people whenever I have been there) makes walk-ins not a good idea. Today there was an extra person there as they were expecting 6 people 45 minutes after I walked in. They said they did not have time for me. Not sure how 3 people would do 6 pedicures (they only have 6 chairs) but the young woman who was not at all helpful has shown me I need to find a salon who better meets my needs to be able to walk-in on my own schedule/needs. There are LOTS of nail salon choices in this area. This salon may need more staff and a more people friendly person talking to walk-in customers. This was not a convenient salon to go to but I was willing to go there because I liked the couple who worked there. I do not plan to return nor will my daughter and granddaughter go there.

My org. Comment gave this place 5 stars for my awesome first time experience. Here it is 2 weeks later and Ive had 3 nails fixed that broke within a week. Not sure what kind of acrylic they use but its not good. My nails should not be breaking from me scratching a back or changing a diaper :( Really dissapointed that I had to spend unnecessary money to not only fix the nails at another salon but to also match the color too. Be advised when you go here, they maybe using cheap acrylic.

I have been getting my nails done for over 30 years and this is by far my favorite salon. The owner is obsessive about cleanliness and hygiene and the salon is spotless. The staff members are all friendly and my daughter swears that Michael gives the best pedicure in the nation!

I went here for the first time and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the nail tech I had. I got a gel fill in and a cut down. She was very detailed with how she did my nails and took her time to make sure each nail was neatly done. I even messed up one while they were drying and she redid it without a problem or attitude. She also gave me $5 off if I come back. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because like 2 of my nails were slightly crocked (from the cut down). Still much better than I have experienced before. I would recommend them and I plan to go back.

Best nail salon Ive visited in 20+ years thanks ladies!

First, based on their reviews on google I called the salon on Thursday to schedule an appointment. I spoke to the owner and I specifically asked her if they used the OPI gel brand because I wanted a french gel manicure and I didn’t want cheap gel on my nails based on my experiences trying out other gel brands outside of shellac or OPI. She assured me that they use both brands so I scheduled my appointment for Friday (the next day).Second, when I arrived at the nail salon I was greeted by the owner who was getting her pedicure by another nail tech. I told her I had an appointment and she instructed me to pick out a color out of the basket and I told her I was getting a french gel manicure so I didn’t need to pick out a color. She then instructed a older male to do my nails and he shook his head in disagreement and pointed to the nail tech doing her pedicure to do it. She then replied in her language to him and he told me to come over to his chair.He pulled out a drill and I asked him not to use that on my nails being that I was gonna have acetone applied to remove my previous gel set and it burns when they use the drill. In his defense the owner said it wouldn’t go past my first nail layer and I repeated myself asking her to tell him not to use a drill. He then begin filing my nails but was clearly bothered by request as he begin roughly filing my nails and speaking in his language. Therefore, after he filed them and applied the cotton and acetone I got up to sit in the front while they processed and asked the owner to have someone else do my nails because he clearly had bad energy.She then told me the nail tech doing her pedicure will do it and would be right with me. Once she was done with the owners pedicure she begin removing my previous gel set and all was going well although she was extremely talkative until she begin to base my nails with a generic brand of base coat. I asked her does she have the OPI base coat and she gave me this long explanation about how the one she was using was more expensive and better than the OPI base coat and I repeated myself and she replied no. I looked at the owner in disbelief because I called and specifically asked that my gel set be done using the OPI brand.Needless to say she globbed on the gel base and coat because it was cheap and generic and my white tip protrudes from my nails looking like lumps because it. Although, I was disgusted with the level of service and clear misrepresentation of the quality of their products I tipped the nail tech doing my nails $15 because it wasn’t her fault that I had a bad experience. HOWEVER, I WILL NEVER RETURN being a business owner myself because of their blantant misrepresentation of their products and the level of customer service I received at this place.
