Attempted to have a vehicle towed after getting a flat tire. Towing company couldnt figure out a solution other than having me wait with the vehicle 2 hours in order to have it towed to Firestone. The company indicated other companies would take 4 hours to get the vehicle and that Glen Allen was still my best option. Henrico Towing had it to Firestone in less than an hour and was great to work with.

Glen Allen towing was recommended to me today when I was helping two strangers with thier car that would not start. It was a mother and her daughter with no working phone too.They showed up and said the price was $77 over the phone, so when I met them at the car, I paid cash because it was $73.50, I have him $80 in cash and he did not give me change and drive off without even offering to try and start it for us? I am more upset that this was a family in crisis situation and we were not helped and shorted! I want my money back, at least the overpayment. It was less than a block of distance tow. Im appalled that you pride yourselves as a family business, that was not how you treat family.

I called Glen Alan Towing and Recovery at about 6:30, and they had a driver out to me by 7:15. Got me and my car home faster and cheaper than I expected. I’ll definitely be saving their number in case I need it in the future, and I cannot recommend their service enough.

Dont know the name of the guy that assisted, but he wore a cowboy hat. This man took the time to bring our wrecked truck up the drive way so we could put it iN the garage. Not only did he do that, but he showed condolences for the wreck. JOB WELL DONE!! His compassion gave me some faith in this crazy world.. good job buddy!! This happened 3.28.21.

We had to get our car towed twice in the past week. Once to the dealership and once to another shop (they were trying to charge us tripple what the independent shop was going to charge) Both times, Glen Allen Towing was great. They were upfront about charges (which were super reasonable), they let us know how long it would be until the driver could get there (and a heads up when they were closer) and just had great service all around. Hope we dont have to get anything else towed, but if we do, we know where to go.

Ill start off by saying if your calling for a wrecker things cant be to good. But from the start dealing with customer service the young lady was absolutely cool took all info needed and dispatched a truck in under an hour.The driver: So what pulls up is a heavy duty white and blue peterbilt and out comes the driver...1st thing he does is walks to me, looks me in the eye, and extends his hand to shake mine. Thats how you greet a customer. The driver STEVE is absolutely a true professional! From the moment he arrived till he dropped my truck about 20 miles away Steve and myself had nothing but great conversation! Hes one of the guys that can change your life just listening to his knowledge and or advice.The conclusion: @125hr for wrecker service Glen Allen Towing is hands down the best priced service in the area, Great equipment, fast and reliable! Broke a window on my car and wouldnt own up to it

I was told on the phone wrong information about charges, which led to me making the worst choice financially. I was told that if I signed over the vehicle, I would get a certain amount of the price owed off, not that the stowing fees are waived and only towing fees are owed. I ended up choosing to pay an extra 50 dollar fee to do business after hours (the only time I could go) due to work, when I could have waited to sign it over the next day for no additional cost... since the storage fees would have been negated. Also, I was told the stowing fees were more than they are per day. Still dont know the exact amount as all answers are different, but all less than the first price I was told that I made my decisions off of as that was all I knew at the time. Based on the information initially given, I thought it best to take care of same day to not rack up charges, whereas in reality since I had a salvage buyer contact me on my way there, and I could have had the option to pay the storage fees for one more night to a few more days and come out ahead (since they are 40-50 a day), or at least know that if that didnt end up working out and I did sign my vehicle over, it wouldnt have accumulated storage fees in the meantime due to the signing it over making them be waived.I honestly was deceived and want my car back in my name.

First the person that answered the phone was rude! I called to ask about the pricing to see how much they would add a day bc I didn’t have all the money yet. They told my my base price was 230 and 40/ day after. Meaning I would pay $310 in total bc they had my car for 2 days but I was charged for 3. So I payed 350. They said their policy is that the first 12 hours counts as a whole day. Everyone has policy cool. But no one ever mentioned this policy until I got there. Being that the whole world knows it’s 24 hours in a day you would think they would make sure they let people know of this policy.

These guys came through in a pinch when my vehicle died on my way to work. Even though it was down pouring, the gentleman helping me remained upbeat and professional. In no time at all, they had my vehicle on their truck and off to the shop. The process was a pleasant one and they even notified me of the vehicle drop off. I would recommend Glen Allen Towing for any standard or emergency needs.

I hate the fact that I even had to give them one star to post this. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. They towed my car after my husband and I had an accident. Due to insurance and othe factors the car had to sit in their lot for two weeks which was completely not their fault however once the car finally was repaired it was discovered that an additional 3000 in damage would need to be spent because a mouse had chewed through a main wire that controls my electrical system. The car is brand new I NEVER had any issues with it what so ever and mysteriously a mouse chews through it between the time of the accident and repairing the car. I called the owner and very politely stated the situation and asked what do we do. He immediately took the prove it mentality and told me it was the craziest thing e ever heard. He also tried to say that for all he knows it happened before the accident. REALLY?? As if I want my car out of commission and in another rental car???? This has been a nightmare and I only had my car back for a day. Its just sad and depressing every time you get a glimpse and have to deal with the really bad people in this world.

I’m new to the city of Richmond, when I got into an accident I was relieved when Glenside showed up, Until I found out I was being taking advantage of, at the scene of your accident please be sure to ask any and all questions to the tow truck driver. They will not explain any “policies” that you aren’t already aware of. Glenside Drivers will tell you anything to get your car back to there yard so they can charge you 170+ dollars, and make there commission..

Id never had my car towed before so I was pretty worried about it being done.. you know, didnt want my car to go flying off or something pretty unlikely. I also had zero desire to ride in the car with a total stranger. Matt with Glen Allen made me feel at ease about both these things! He was very sweet, funny and really professional! My mother got into an accident on 4/7/14. After evaluating the damage to the vehicle, it was clear that it was not drivable, therefore it needed to be towed. I am in the car business and we have a company that we use, however the officer that worked the accident was nice enough to call us a tow truck. The tow truck shows up and everything seems fine. My mothers car was to be towed approximately 4 miles. We get the car to its destination and the tow truck driver tells me that the cost was $196.00. We ask why the cost was so high to go (maybe) 4 miles. He proceeds to tell me its because it was a police call. We go to write him a check and they do not take checks. We give him a credit card and then he tacks on another 5% because its a credit card. Ends up being $205.00 to go 4 miles. The price should have been disclosed before they hook up to the car but then they would not be able to gouge you. Terrible business ethic!

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a tow company. Substantially overpriced and not forthcoming with all charges. My daughter ran off the road during a rain storm. The VA state police contacted this company. The driver was very nice but when asked about process he only shared half of what we would be charged. When we picked up the car 18 hours later we were charged for TWO DAYS worth of storage. This is contractual policy according to the manager who spoke with us. He was defensive and rude because he was questioned about his charging for two days when it had not even been 24 hours. COMMUNICATION WITH EVERY EMPLOYEE WAS DIFFICULT (except the guy who hooked you when you were on the side of the road) They would not share information and then would become frustrated when you asked questions. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. $475 for a three mile tow.

Was a great towing experience for me and my father, was a fantastic price but most of all the staff member Cliff who helped us out was smart and kind. He really made it great experience!

I definitely recommend Glen Allen Towing. Sunday morning I called two other 7/24 tow services and they either had no one working or I got voice mail. Glen Allen took my information and had someone there right when they said they would. The cost of the flat bed truck for an AWD seemed reasonable and everyone was very pleasant and efficient. They do take Visa, although I dont think its mentioned on the site. A very positive experience when having car problems.

I had a trailer broken down in the middle of the road on a Sunday evening. I called around to a couple of places that that were closer to me, but they could not accommodate my 30 trailer. Glen Allen got out there quickly, got us out of the way, and delivered to a repair shop for a pretty good price. This is the second time using them and I would highly recommend.

After finding Glenn Allen Towing on the web I gave them a call. They got my Daughter & her car quickly, courteously & safely to the tire shop of our choosing. They were call out by roadside assistance to come tow my classic car their dispatcher assured the company they has the proper equipment to tow my car the driver arrived 2 hours later tried to load the car on the rollback and come to find out he did not have the proper equipment to tow the car he call the owner of the company and the owner told him to leave on top of having a broken down car the driver left me there stranded in the middle of nowhere I asked for a call from the owner and 3 days later no call if you have a classic car or any car that requires special care to be towed DO NOT CALL GLEN ALLEN TOWING

Seeing this number in my contacts, I wondered who might write reviews of a towing company so I checked. 42 people ahead of me, thats who. The follow-up question is who would say nice things about a towing company, and that number was far less. Ive had my car towed from parking spaces before and its one of the most galling, frustrating and expensive experiences, but that doesnt apply here. These guys have saved my bacon twice while in need of jump starts. They were not cheap, but both times it was quick and got me rolling again. So I hope my review can help balance all the other angry reviews.

Honest people. Had them go get my tractor from Philly, although it took the wrecker driver alot longer than it should have and it was overnight without traffic. They charged me for what it should of been time wise and didnt overcharge. I recommend.

I couldn’t have imagined a tow experience would be this pleasant. On my way from Baltimore to Raleigh for business I broke down outside of Richmond. I was wary to call Glen Allen based on the Google ratings but soon realized the complaints were mostly due to repossessions. I decided to call other companies first but after getting vague timeframes and sketchy price quotes I called Glen Allen. They gave me a firm price and had a tow truck to me within 30 minutes. They even diagnosed the problem with my car and referred me to an auto parts shop that had the part waiting for me when I arrived. Amazingly, 90 minutes after I broke down I was back on the road. I can’t thank the staff at Glen Allen enough for getting me down to Raleigh in time. They saved me a lot of money in more than one way

I goggled tow companies and called the first one to pop up. When I called and asked about towing motorcycles they said no but gave me Glen Allen Towings number. The person who answered the phone gave me a complete breakdown of the prices and dispatched the driver. The driver showed up in a reasonable amount of time for a Saturday evening. He took great care to secure my bike without any damage. There was a little small talk to pass the time on the drive and dropped me off safe and sound at home. No surprise charges no issues. Horrible and... worst experience ever. Never gonna call them ...1. The towing truck arrived 2.5 hours late, nobody is calling me and updating the status. Every time I have to call and ask where they are and every time I need to give the information where is my car.. where I want to take it ... etc etc..... why cant you pull it from my mobile number or by my name.2. The guy who bought the tow truck was not at all co-operative and unprofessional.

After trying to reach our Vespa dealer without luck (it was after hours) and then calling several towing companies to discover they werent there or equipped to tow a 350-pound Vespa scooter, my wife called Glen Allen Towing & Recovery. They could do it. Mike, the tow truck operator, was especially conscientious about how he secured our Vespa, making sure that side tie-down straps wouldnt mar the floorboard, and adjusting and rechecking straps and tie-down points several times. It was a relief to get the Vespa back home but a pleasure to have such a helpful and professional guy show up to help us on a night he was supposed to be off and grilling dinner for his wife. If Im ever broken down again in the Richmond area, Glen Allen Towing & Recovery will my default call.

Well, these idiots would give your car to any fool that happened to see it towed away and give them $120. They never asked for ID or to see the registration. Told the driver what I thought of his company and he wanted to fight me . Followed me to my car until I pulled my phone out and was about to video him.... Money grubbing looses to the end.

These people are a ripp off.I called them at 4:22pm .they told me it was 150 an hour.so he get there at 5:00pm.hooks up in 20 minutes then we get to the truck stop in 15 min.its now 5:30.he then charges me for 4 hours.I had no choice but to pay him otherwise he will take my truck.I should of read some reviews.

These guys towed my car a quarter mile and left the car 3 ft. Off the curb. The cops showed up and said I would have to get car re towed 3 ft. When I called the owner he acted like the car couldnt be moved 3 ft. Than showed up and did it in 60 seconds and had the worst attitude and actually went to another local business and bad mouthed me. Theres a million tow cos. this is not the one to use.

Furthermore, when it rained and it was an accident at 4 am, I had to leave us in front of their factory, so we had to drop off the hotel or the busiest neighborhood. What is this? I asked you to take a taxi or not. When I paid for the money, I got $ 730 and got 740. We dont have a hand phone, but were glad were short, but Im glad were crazy .... The police also believed that this car would take us to the hotel, but we lost the real courtesy of the driver.
